Bunny

You are here:

Estimated Date of Birth 7/10/17

Bunny and her Mom, Honey, were found at a farm west of Katy.  But both are as sweet as can be, and Bunny, who is still a youngster at heart, is full of energy and affection.  She loves to go on walks to see what's going on in the world and she loves to get in her foster mom's lap for a tummy rub and some snuggles. She goes to doggy day care 3 times a week where she gets to play with her canine buddies and she has been through basic obedience class.  Bunny is crate-trained and house trained. She is especially happy when hanging out with her human friends.

Ella

You are here:

Estimated date of birth 6/1/16, weight is 42 lbs.

Ella is a beautiful, SMART, affectionate girl that loooooves to be with people!  She’s about 2 years old and believed to be a cross between white Lab and Greyhound.  She’s only 42 lbs, very long and lanky.  Ella knows Sit, Down, Stay, walks nicely on leash and is very treat motivated (but she has a soft mouth).  Ella goes to Doggy Day Care three times a week and enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes.  She also enjoys going on walks, splashing in water puddles, playing with her toys and she is house trained.

Ella’s ideal home would include another dog and a stay-at-home or work-from-home mom /dad.  Ella does not like to be crated – she can tolerate being crated for short periods of time but not for multiple hours.  She is anxious when left alone and thunder storms scare her.

Honey

You are here:

Estimated Date of Birth 8/23/11

Honey was found at a farm west of Katy.  The farmer was not feeding her but now Honey has been rescued by a HOPE foster family and is in good health.  Honey is a sweet, gentle, quite girl, very easy going and low maintenance. She is friendly with her foster brother dog (they like to lounge in and mosey around the backyard together in nice weather), rarely barks, and is house trained.  Honey is still easily frightened of thunderstorms and loud noises like trash trucks.  She enjoys going on walks in her neighborhood but is always happy to head back home. Would you consider giving this middle-aged lady a new start and a forever home?

Jessie

You are here:

Date of birth is 11/9/17.

Jessie and her siblings, Bob and Boy, were born to a stray moma dog that wandered up to a home out in the country, looking for food and shelter.  Fortunately, she found a home with dog lovers who not only fed her and gave her shelter, but let her have her litter of puppies two weeks later and committed to finding them all homes!

Jessie is a typical puppy, happy, playful and curious.  She loves to wrestle with her siblings and play with her toys.  She also loves to snuggle and cuddle with her foster mom.  Her foster dad calls her the "Play Princess" because she likes to play and have fun!  Jessie is learning to walk on leash, is almost house trained and is crate trained.  She would love to find a home with another dog for a playmate, maybe some kids to grow up with, and a nice backyard for exercise.

Johnny Cash

You are here:

Hi, I'm Johnny Cash and I want to sing my way into your heart!

I'm a lovable guy that likes to have fun! The dog park is one of my favorite places. I am a happy-go-lucky guy who gets along well with everyone and am very socialized.  When I'm not practicing my next country hit, I like to sleep in my doggie bed, or curl up in someone's lap.  I am intelligent and I learn quickly. In fact, I am a recent graduate of Basic Obedience Level 1 and I can sit, stay, and I’m working on learning to shake hands!  I'm an active pup, so be ready to rock-n-roll. Yes, country and rock-n-roll CAN go together.

Turtle

You are here:

Turtle is ready to give up her career as a back yard junk dog!  It's time to start something new, and HOPE Rescue in Houston is ready to help her. Turtle has many skills that will make her new career as an adopted pooch a breeze!  For example, she has plenty of playgroup experience, and she excels at zooming around the yard.  However, she also enjoys just sitting in the yard bird watching or watching the squirrels playing in the trees.  She also has wonderful people skills.

Turtle's specialties are snuggling, smiling and making human hearts grow three sizes. Turtle's favorite past time is just lying on the couch with her human & watching TV.  Can you help Turtle start her new career as an adopted member of your loving family?

Venus

You are here:

In her own words:  I was saying to myself just this morning "Venus, you know what you need? You need a person all your own."  So I sat down to write this post for the nice people at HOPE, because apparently that's the kind of thing they do - find nice people for extremely intelligent and lovable furbabies.  I shudder to type this, but I'M LAPLESS! That's right, I have no lap to call my own. Could you be persuaded to volunteer yours?  I can't wait to see my forever home!"

Venus is an active and incredibly smart girl who likes nothing more than to stretch her legs at the beach or at the park.  She'd suit an active person who wants an outgoing and friendly companion - if you ca lob a tennis ball, Venus will be your friend for life!
