(Mr.) Noel #lap-kitty-bed-buddy

You are here:
LOVES TO BE CARRIED AROUND

DOB 7/12/21

Are you looking for a uniquely marked tabby kitty who has small cheetah-like spots on his sides instead of the typical tabby stripes? Well I’m the man! Meow! Meow, everyone! I'm Noel, your perfect feline companion! I'm a very friendly, affectionate, loving, easygoing, and active cream-colored “spotted” tabby fella.

My foster mom calls me her favorite "lap cat" and her "bed buddy" because I love to snuggle. She rescued me as a baby who needed to be bottle-fed, so I love being carried around.  I live with cats and dogs, so I get along well with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.

Why am I a "special needs" kitty? I was recently diagnosed with diabetes insipidus, a rare, relatively harmless disorder that causes my body to make too much urine. It’s easily controlled with daily eye drops. However, I will need an experienced owner who can give me my drops every day and monitor my drinking as well as...um...my “output” in case the dosage needs to be adjusted by the vet. Easy peasy!

No reason for you to pass me by since I’m such a lovable and loving spotted guy. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give that all I need is YOU!

HOPE ID 21-0814-A050

If you are interested in (Mr.) Noel and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to https://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net, and a volunteer will get back to you.

Abby #fabulous-four

You are here:
USUALLY SUBMISSIVE BUT SOMETIMES HOLDS HER OWN WITH HER PUSHY SIBLINGS

DOB 6/20/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Abby, a sweet, quiet, serene, and playful “torbie” mix gal with big, green eyes. “Torbie” means than I’m mostly brown tabby with patches of orange that make me look like I was splashed with caramel in a candy factory. I’m the smallest of the #fabulous-four, but being the runt makes me more gentle and easy-going. I heard Foster Meowmy tell someone, “Abby’s the sweetest and calmest of the bunch.” I usually acquiesce and let my siblings push me aside to get to our dinner first. However, sometimes I hold my own when I see it’s a favorite snack that Foster Meowmy is dispensing.

Foster Meowmy had been setting out food for my stray momma Blue for about a month before Momma brought my #fabulous-four litter to Meowmy’s door when we were eight weeks old. Thank heavens, after about two weeks, Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to safety.

Like all my siblings, I was scared of Foster Meowmy but quickly understood that she was there to feed us and keep us safe. However, like my sister Ava, I have the “fear gene,” and I usually run and hide when Foster Meowmy enters the foster room. I’ll eventually emerge to investigate if Foster Meowmy has brought my yummy canned pate dinner. She has discovered that Churro squeezable treats and freeze-dried snacks have been a real incentive for me to make friends with her. Although I wiggle when Foster Meowmy tries to hold me, she predicts that with time and patience, I’ll actually enjoy being held and be less of a “scaredy cat” once I feel comfy in my new “digs.” I’m a sweet, loving girl who just needs some space to shine.

I’m a playful gal who loves interactive play with Foster Meowmy when she waves the feathered wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room. And Sky, Abby, Asher, and I have a wonderful time tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling until we’re so exhausted that we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? If so, arrange to meet me today so you can lock eyes with my olive-greens. Although we’re available separately, please consider adopting me with another one of the #fabulous-four. It would be the cat’s meow to have a built-in companion and cuddle buddy when you’re at work or on vacation.

Albert #rambunctious-playmate

You are here:
BONDS DEEPLY WITH HIS HOOMAN

DOB 5/5/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Albert, a handsome blue-eyed prince of a flame-point Siamese mix fella. I get an A+ for being an affectionate cuddler because I love to jump in Foster Daddy’s lap and then fall asleep on his chest. We have a great time binging on Animal Planet and Netflix together. Of course I’m extremely vocal and outgoing like many Siamese mixes, so I’m a spectacular conversationalist when he needs to talk about his day.

But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I’m an athletic and rambunctious boy who likes to play rough! This works out great when Foster Daddy waves the wand toy over my head; however, I need another teenage kitty or hooman teenager who wants to play as rough as I do because I could overpower a small kitten, senior cat, or toddler with my roughhousing. The good thing is that I’m very responsive when Foster Daddy reprimands me or redirects my naughty behavior. (It helps that I’m very food-motivated.)

I was obviously someone’s misplaced or abandoned seven-month-old pet when I showed up several times wailing my head off at the front door of Foster Daddy’s apartment. He was able to resist bringing me inside until a violent winter thunderstorm dumped torrential rain. Boy howdy! I was grateful to kiss the hardscrabble outdoor life behind! That life -- for sure – is not for me!

Friendly and stunning as I am, my previous caretaker had not neutered or microchipped me, as Foster Daddy learned when he tried to locate my owner. So he promised to foster me until he could find me a forever home the next time around. Of course he “fixed” me so I’d never again be a ramblin’ man like when I previously heard the call of the wild. I fit in well with the two resident cats, although they don’t always appreciate my being a whippersnapper who wants to play all the time.

If you’re looking for a Siamese mix fella with Frank Sinatra eyes who has all the breed’s endearing traits -- very sociable, resonantly vocal, bonds deeply with my hooman – I’m the dude for you! Arrange to meet me today. My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

Alfie #spotted-tummy

You are here:
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT, ALFIE?

DOB 7/4/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Alfie, a sweet, cuddly, playful brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings. I’ve got the cutest spotted tummy that you’ve ever seen! I love to snuggle with Foster Meowmy when we sleep at night together, and when we wake up at 6 a m, I’m ready for a full day of running the house. I'm fascinated with the aquarium and enjoy monitoring the fish. Foster Meowmy thinks it's so cute that I can twist my body around into some pretty wild contortions when I'm having sweet dreams.

You see, a HOPE volunteer found me as an orphaned six-week-old kitten who had no momma or siblings in sight. When I came to my foster home, I was the smallest of the group of kittens. That didn’t stop me from playing hard with the others and even being a little fighter when I had to stand up to the big boys. Recently my spot in the foster hierarchy has changed since a four-week-old baby kitten has arrived. Now I’m the big brother, and I “run the house” by being sweet and kind to the little tyke.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? Consider adopting me with one of my foster mates. Two's more fun than one, and that way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today!

Alice #miss-congeniality

You are here:
DREAMILY LOOKS UP INTO YOUR EYES

DOB 8/7/22

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Alice, a sweet, curious, playful Turkish Van mix gal who’s mostly white with gray tabby on my head and tail. Everyone falls in love with me when my beautiful face stares up into their eyes. I love food, love to play, and love to investigate my surroundings.

I was rescued by a kind woman who found me and my sisters Tris, Lucy, and Victoria as orphaned kittens when we were so young that we needed to be bottle-fed. Once we were eating on our own, our tenderhearted future Foster Meowmy responded to the plea on the HOPE FaceBook page that we needed someone to foster us until we were adopted. She brought us to our foster home, where we enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with each other until we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’m a happy girl whose life is a repeated cycle of play-sleep-eat.

Since we were bottle-fed and familiar with being handled by hoomans, we’ve always been very friendly and sociable – even with strangers. In fact, we come out to meet visitors! Although we haven’t been around kids in our foster home, I’m sure we’d be fine with well-mannered children because we’ve been very comfortable around the Great Pyrenees dog (I really bonded to him.) and the other resident cats. These kitties have acted like aunts and uncles who've taught us everything that our momma would've taught us if she'd been around.

I hope that I’ve piqued your interest and that you’ll arrange to meet me! My heart has so much love to give, all I need is YOU!

Arthur #king-of-Camelot

You are here:
LOVES BELLY RUBS AND CHURUS

DOB 4/24/24

Hey there, everyone, I’m “King” Arthur, a sweet, friendly, talkative, and affectionate spotted gray-tabby fella with white tuxedo markings who loves belly rubs and licking Churu squeezable treats off Foster Meowmy’s finger. I charm all the kids at adoption events because I “talk” to them. Boy howdy, do they giggle at that!

My favorite game is when Foster Meowmy waves the “Turkey Flyer” wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room. If I catch it, I strut around proudly with “da bird” in my mouth. Foster Meowmy crochets catnip mice just for me, and I can display what a champion soccer striker I am by the way I bat the mice as well as jingle-bell balls around the room.

I was a tiny kitten when my brother and I were hanging around the dumpsters behind the Pearland PetSmart. Thank heavens a HOPE volunteer scooped us up before we were run over by the delivery trucks. Living in my foster home is like Camelot to me, “King” Arthur. I get along great with a variety of both resident and foster kitties. We have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling.

Foster Meowmy has whispered in my ear that there IS “a more congenial spot for happily-ever-aftering than here in Camelot,” and that’ll be in my forever home. She promises that fewer kitties will compete for my hooman’s attention than here in my foster home. Gosh! I can’t imagine anything better than being the center of a family’s attention! If you’re looking for a sociable gent who loves adult and kids, I’m the dude for you! Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

Asher #fabulous-four

You are here:
HAS A TASTE FOR EXPLORING

DOB 6/20/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Asher, a sweet, quiet, and playful lynx-point Siamese mix fella with mesmerizing baby-blue eyes. Foster Meowmy had been setting out food for my stray momma Blue for about a month before Momma brought my #fabulous-four litter to Meowmy’s door when we were eight weeks old. Thank heavens, it wasn’t long before Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to safety.

I was initially shy with Foster Meowmy – probably because I noticed that it took Momma Blue awhile to warm up to Meowmy. Just like Blue, once I felt safe and secure, my adventurous nature starting shining through. Foster Meowmy predicts that I’ll actually become outgoing if I’m given time to feel comfy in my new “digs.” She has discovered that Churro squeezable treats were a real incentive for me to make friends with her.

I’m the leader of my pack of siblings in that I’m always the first to explore new places and things. I’m a frisky boy who adores interactive play with Foster Meowmy when she waves the feathered wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room. And Sky, Abby, Ava, and I have a wonderful time tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling until we’re so exhausted that we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? If so, arrange to meet me today so you can lock eyes with my baby-blues. Although we’re available separately, please consider adopting me with another one of the #fabulous-four. It would be the cat’s meow to have a built-in companion and cuddle buddy when you’re at work or on vacation.

100% DEVOTED

DOB 9/16/23

Whatever Aurora does, she pours her whole heart into the effort. Whether it's cleaning herself, searching for lost toys, or chilling in a morning sunbeam, Aurora  concentrates on each task at hand.

Given her age when rescued, Aurora needs a patient home where she can adjust at her own pace. She loves people and other cats and tolerates dogs, but a lot of chaos scares her. If you have a zen-type home, Aurora would welcome gracing you with her presence. Your reward will be lots of purrs and head butts.

DOB 6/20/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Ava, a sweet, quiet, curious, and playful tortie-point Siamese mix gal with deep, penetrating blue eyes.

However, I have the “fear gene” more so than my siblings, and I usually run and hide when Foster Meowmy enters the foster room. Like Asher, though, I’m a curious explorer who will eventually emerge to see if Foster Meowmy has brought my yummy canned pate dinner. She has discovered that Churro squeezable treats were a real incentive for me to make friends with her. Although I don’t enjoy being held for very long, Foster Meowmy predicts that with time and patience, I’ll actually enjoy being held and be less of a “scaredy cat” once I feel comfy in my new “digs.” Deep in my soul, I’m a sweet, loving girl.

I’m a playful gal who loves interactive play with Foster Meowmy when she waves the feathered wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room. Banksy #graffiti-boy

You are here:
STREET URCHIN TO PAMPERED PET

DOB 4/28/23

Have you ever seen a kitten whose body looks like a canvas that a graffiti artist has started splashing with tiny spots of black paint? Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Banksy, a sweet and playful fella who’s pure white except for a black semi-colon between my ears. I’m one of the #graffiti-boys who were all named after graffiti street-artists because our momma Clara birthed us on the mean streets of Houston. The good news is that I’m a little street urchin no longer. No siree! I’ve been babied, cuddled, and kissed ever since I was rescued and started living in my foster home, where I eat yummy culinary delights and sleep on soft down pillows! Yep, I’m truly a pauper-turned-prince!

My brothers, Zephyr and Donti, and I are fascinated by everything in the bathroom. That’s because there’s all kinds of great things there -- toilet paper, paper towels, rugs, humans, toys, shampoo, water, and our favorite, the occasional roach. I can’t describe the fun of rolling ping pong balls and cat spring-toys – anything with curves – along the sides of the bathtub like it’s the perfect skateboard park.

And it’s fun to sit on the edge of the tub and play hide-and-seek behind the shower curtain. We’ve destroyed a few shower curtains by batting each other with our little claws, but Foster Meowmy thinks that’s a small price to pay for the hours of enjoyment we have playing peek-a-boo through the clear plastic.

If you’re looking for hours of entertainment with a handsome fella’s who’s a feast to the eyes, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with both of my brothers or momma Clara so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Just think – you can get all your cat-needs met with our little Instacat family.

SASSY AND BEAUTIFUL

DOB 1/1/17

Hi there! I’m Barbie, an affectionate, sweet-faced bicolor tabby gal who’s mostly white with silver tabby on my head, torso, and tail. I’m an outgoing, spunky, but opinionated little lady who absolutely loves to cuddle in my foster meowmy’s lap.

I’m a playful girl whose favorite things are kitty tunnels, boxes, and toy mice. When I need a "time out" after playing or from my housemates, I  prefer to bask in sunbeams on the windowsill or curl up on top of the refrigerator.

I get along pretty well with other foster kitties and would do well in a household with a laid-back cat or dog but probably not with small children. Arrange to meet me today!

- cat trees in front of window sills or window seats where she can look out and talk to the birds.

- tunnels or Amazon boxes that she can rest or run through.

- other kitties to snuggle up with or even friendly dogs

- quiet nights in your lap watching Animal Planet or watching your cursor on the monitor.  Please help Birdie find her forever home before she becomes just another full-grown tabby cat.

Button #cute-as-a-button

You are here:
PLAYS SO HARD WITH THE MOUSE TOY THAT SHE PANTS

DOB 9/1/20

Hey there, everyone! I earned my name Button because I'm "cute as a button." I'm a sweet, playful tuxedo gal with an adorable stripe down my nose. I'm not sure about cuddling just yet, but I love chin scratches, pets, and ear massages. Sometimes I give "sandpaper kisses" with my tongue. I like to be in your company while you read, build a puzzle, or watch TV.

I'm perfectly content to spend the day napping and will greet you when you come home from work by winding around your legs to plant my pheromones. I really enjoy mealtime, catnip, and playing with wand toys. I can get so lost in the moment chasing my favorite "Go Cat" mouse toy that I start panting to catch my breath!

I was found as a "spicy" kitten in a neighbor's yard, and because I was scared of people, I stayed outside after I was spayed. I grew up among the neighborhood stray cats, and with time I grew to trust my feeders/caretakers. So when I was injured during a cat fight, I decided to come inside and allow Foster Meowmy to treat me in my recovery.

I realized that the pampered indoor life has big advantages, so I'm relieved to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye. For this next phase of life, I'm hoping to find a forever home. Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me today!

Catalina #sister-of-Purscilla

You are here:
ADVENTUROUS EXPLORER

DOB 4/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Catalina, a very sweet, affectionate, and friendly white little girl with golden eyes. I absolutely love hoomans, and I’m not shy about requesting for them to pet me as well as give me treats. In fact, I’m very vocal and will let Foster Meowmy know when she hasn’t scratched just the right spot on my anatomy.

I may be smaller than my sister, but I’m definitely the braver of the pair! I was the first one to wobble out of our “nest” as well as to venture out of our nursery to explore my world. My favorite activities are playing hide-and-seek, bird-watching, and exploring like Marco Polo did.

My feral momma Clawdia chose to birth my sister Purscilla and me in the safety of the patio of an apartment unit that had been vacant for a long time. Was it a mere coincidence that our future Foster Meowmy moved in one or two days later? She’s quite a cat advocate, so thankfully she scooped up newborn Purscilla and me as well as trapped Momma in order to bring us all inside to safety.

When Meowmy took us to the vet to get vaccinated and spayed, all three of us tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Meowmy assumes that Momma probably contracted FIV from a deep bite wound from an intact male cat and then passed it on to us before we were ever born. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as my dental health is routinely monitored and prompt attention is given to any urinary-tract or upper-respiratory infections.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. If you’re looking for a beautiful yet adventurous pure white kitty, I’m the gal for you! I hope that my being a “special-needs” kitty will not scare you off; in fact, perhaps you’re one of those benevolent souls who actually seeks out a "special" kitty whom others might pass over. All the more reason for me to love you!

Although we’re available separately, Purscilla and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. Two’s more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me [us] today!

Charlie #after-five-jetset

You are here:
A TOTAL CUDDLE BUG

DOB 6/20/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Charlie, a loving, affectionate, and cuddly “bicolor” fella who’s mostly white with black on my head, back, and tail. I’m one of the #after-five-jetset who got that name because the five in my litter are all beautifully and elegantly dressed in “after-five” attire. (Many of my siblings are “tuxedos.”)

I love to crawl up in Foster Meowmy’s lap to sweetly kiss her face before I curl up for a nap. That’s when I turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot. But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I’m an outgoing Mr. Congeniality who’s always ready to make new friends as well as a curious adventurer who’s ready to explore new places. Playtime with my siblings is a must! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Sweet Mama was the young indoor-outdoor pet of an irresponsible owner who did not spay her, and of course, she birthed our litter. When this family was evicted, we were not taken with them but were left behind to fend for ourselves. We were about 2.5 weeks old when Hurricane Beryl blew through, and a concerned neighbor posted my family’s plight on the neighborhood message board. When our future foster pawrents saw the posting, they forged out in the midst of the pouring rain and brought all six of us inside to the safety of their home. They are heroes in my book because they gave us all a second chance!!

Now I’m ready to find my forever home, and if you’re looking for a total cuddle-bug of a kitten who’s also very outgoing and playful, I’m the dude for you! I hope you’ll arrange to meet me because I guarantee that my playful antics and lively spirit will keep you smiling. Consider adopting me with one of the #after-five-jetset so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

DOB 10/20/23

Meet Cheeks, a sweet tuxedo boy with a shy yet friendly personality. Cheeks loves human attention and will happily seek you out for pets and affection, although he prefers being held for short periods of time. His soft, bird-like tweets are his adorable way of communicating, and they’ll melt your heart!

Cheeks enjoys the company of older cats and has learned to get along with younger ones, though he can be a bit bossy at times. With his independent nature and fondness for older children, Cheeks makes a wonderful, gentle companion.

Cholo #bilingual-cat

You are here:
PLAYS WELL WITH 3 RESIDENT DOGS

DOB 4/22/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Cholo, and my Foster Meowmy named me that because, at 8 weeks old, I was found on a sidewalk near Beltway 8 and Beechnut Street. I reminded her of a Mexican-American "cholo boy," who’s a young urban-street gangster. I’m a sweet, talkative, and playful silver tabby fella with strong black stripes who’s bilingual – I understand both English and Spanish. However, I speak “cat” and meow when I want attention, food, or treats.

I’m an energetic dude who loves to zoom around the house as well as play soccer with my jingle-bell balls and catnip mice. I adore any toy that bounces and mimics a spider or lizard. I’ll spend hours playing with a few feathered toys that hang from the door frame. Although I’m very food-motivated, Foster Meowmy has learned not to give in when I beg her for treats because, once I start playing, I completely forget about Temptations.

Occasionally I like to jump out from my hiding place to ambush a hooman or dog who happens to be passing by. I’ve been living with three pooches, and I’m very tolerant of their unique form of play, which consists of smelling me and biting my ears. Foster Meowmy is amazed and thinks that it’s fun to watch how I don’t get aggressive with these dogs or try to fight them.

Now I’m ready to settle into my forever home. Could that be with you and your canine family? Arrange to meet me today! You’ll find that I’m a cholo boy who has many talents, including capturing your heart.

Clara #dainty-green-eyed-beauty

You are here:
JOINS IN THE ROUGHHOUSING WITH HER BOYS

DOB 4/14/21

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Clara, a super-sweet, quiet, demure charcoal grey and white tuxedo gal who’s actually the retired momma of the #graffiti-boys litter. I'm a real beauty because I have a sleek, shiny coat that's soft as a bunny's fur, and my big green eyes are mesmerizing!

I’m not a big fan of being picked up, but I love it when Foster Meowmy scratches my chin, cheeks, and chin as well as when she gently caresses my back. I was initially shy when I first arrived in my foster home, but once I got to know and trust Foster Meowmy (thanks to treats and yummy food!), I started relaxing.

Meowmy is very conscious that sudden movements make me nervous, so she makes sure that she moves around me very slowly. You see, I was rescued from an apartment complex as a stray momma cat with my three boys, so my radar always on the alert for danger to protect my babies from predators. Admittedly, it took a while for that mindset to be discarded and for me to wake up to the reality that I was suddenly living in a safe, secure environment of plenty.

Although my three boys, Dondi, Zephyr, and Banksy, were weaned long ago, I can’t resist being the “helicopter momma” who’s always in the background watching out for them. Even though I’m a dainty lass, I even join in their roughhousing from time to time. I become somewhat of a police officer when it comes to the other resident cats and my boys. The fact is – I’ll always love my sons!

Most of the time, I stay out of the way and am as quiet as a mouse. (Who wouldn't be when her sons are such flamboyant characters?) I’m happy to keep to myself and don’t demand a lot of attention from Foster Meowmy, although I luxuriate when she does pet me. Now it’s time for me and my family to find out forever homes. All I ask for is a quiet home with people who know the power of a gentle touch. And it would be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with Banksy.

Collin #brother-of-Julian

You are here:
YOUR BEST TV COMPANION

DOB 3/23/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Collin, a precious, laid-back brown tabby fella who likes to hang out in my foster family’s laps while we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. When I’m not in a mood to relax as a couch potato, I can be adventurous and curious. And boy howdy, I can do a number with interactive wand toys that my foster family waves over my head. I enjoy playing soccer with all sorts of balls – crinkle, poufy, and with bells.

My #three's company litter, Aubrey, Collin, and I, were rescued as orphans out of our Foster Pawrents' back yard. Now I’m ready to find my forever home, which could include cat-friendly dogs as well as other cats. Of course, it’d be the cat’s meow if I were adopted with my brother Julian. Two’s better than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today!

Curry #streetwise-six

You are here:
LIKES TO SLEEP ON YOUR CHEST

DOB 6/23/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Curry, and I’m a very sweet, friendly, and affectionate bicolor fella, which means that I’m mostly white with orange tabby on my head, back, and tail. I absolutely love to settle on Foster Meowmy’s chest so that she can coo sweet nothings in my ear. I’m a Velcro cat who likes to be near my hooman, so I’ll follow Foster Meowmy around just so I can keep her company.

I’m one of the #streetwise-six, who got our name because, when we were about a month old, some really cruel person dumped my litter of six along with our momma in the middle of the street. Since Momma was frantic for our safety, instinct told her to bring us to the shopping center to ask for help. Sure enough, a Good Samaritan rescued us and eventually got us to our foster home.

Momma Nala, Simba, Pooh, Chase, Dolly, Lena, and I have all thrived in our foster home. We kits tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I get along great with the cat-friendly dogs and resident adult cats, and Foster Meowmy makes sure that her small kids treat us gently and lovingly.

Now I’m ready for my forever home. Although we’re available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if you’d consider adopting me with another one of the #streetwise-six. Two’s more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Incidentally, we four cream- and orange-tabby boys color-coordinate quite nicely with each other as well as with the palettes of the girls, a calico and a tortie. Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart!

Darla #Beryl-baby

You are here:
QUICKLY COMES OUT OF HER SHELL AT PLAYTIME

DOB 7/6/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Darla, a sweet, docile, demure, and initially shy Bombay mix gal who nevertheless easily comes out of my shell – especially at playtime. I’m very bonded to my momma Reeces and my twin sister Zoey. Sis, the young male resident kitty, and I pounce and tumble, climb and wrestle, and when Zoey and I are exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Zoey and I are known as the #Beryl-babies because our momma Reeces birthed us during the midst of the hurricane. A nice lady had been feeding Reeces on the front porch of her apartment. Lo and behold, the next thing she knew -- there was a litter of kittens on her front porch. She cared for us all but left us outside. Month-old kittens can be curious, and we climbed up into the motor of a neighbor’s car. The neighbor didn’t realize this until she started driving and then heard meowing. Fortunately she stopped and discovered Zoey and me under the hood. She realized that we needed to be safe inside, so she contacted her cat lady friend who’s a HOPE volunteer. Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate to foster my little family.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be you? Consider adopting me with my bonded-sister Zoey. Although we’re available separately, two’s more fun than one. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we had a built-in playmate and cuddle buddy while you’re at work or on vacation.

Dionysus #Greek-god-gang

You are here:
VELCRO KITTY WHO LOVES TO CUDDLE

DOB 6/12/24

Hey there, everyone. I’m Dionysus, and I’m a sweet, affectionate black DSH/Bombay mix fella in the #Greek-god-gang. I was named after the god of wine and pleasure. Bombay kitties are often called Velcro cats because we like to stick so close to our favorite hoomans, and I’m no exception. The second Foster Meowmy sits down, I crawl up in her lap to await her cooing over me as well as gently stroking me. Even when I’m in the middle of playing with my siblings, if I see a chance for hooman attention, I come running to curl up in Foster Meowmy’s lap.

My momma Hera had been a stray who had had multiple litters over several years. A nice lady decided to “stop the cycle” and rescued Hera and her “fresh” litter, i.e. my three siblings, Hebe, Hermes, Apollo and me.  Unfortunately there was house fire where this nice lady lived, so we then went to another foster home that was a stepping stone to our ending up with our Foster Meowmy, who's a very experienced HOPE volunteer. We’re typical kittens who tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. If you’re looking for an absolute love bug and lap kitty, I’m the boy for you! Although we’re available separately, my siblings in the #Greek-god-gang think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted in two pairs. Two is more fun than one, and that way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today!

Dondi #graffiti-boy

You are here:
STREET URCHIN TO PAMPERED PET

DOB 4/28/23

Have you ever seen a kitten whose body looks like a canvas that a graffiti artist has started splashing with tiny spots of black paint? Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Dondi, a sweet and playful fella who’s pure white except for my black toupee and pale smudges of gray on my shoulders, back, and haunches.

My brothers, Banksy and Zephyr, and I are fascinated by everything in the bathroom.

I’m particularly bonded to Zephyr. We’re always up to some kind of kitten business – exploring, menacing each other, wrestling. When we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle with Banksy and may even nuzzle with our sweet momma Clara.

If you’re looking for hours of entertainment with a handsome fella’s who’s a feast to the eyes, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with Zephyr (and don’t forget Banksy!) so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Just think – you can get all your cat-needs met with our little Instacat family.

Dumpling & Dim Sum #bonded-brothers

THEY ALWAYS PURR AND MAKE BISCUITS CONTENTEDLY

DOB 3/15/23

Meow! Meow, everyone! We’re Dumpling and Dim Sum, a bonded pair of brown-tabby brothers who are ultra-sweet, friendly, and affectionate. We love to cuddle with our hoomans almost as much as with each other. We’re a happy pair who’s always purring and making biscuits, whether we’re snuggled with each other or having our chins scratched in Foster Meowmy’s lap.

A Good Samaritan found us and dropped us off at PetSmart/Pearland, and thankfully our foster meowmy agreed to welcome us into her home until we can find a fantastic forever home. She’s insisting that we be adopted together because we’re inseparable best friends who love each other very much.

We fit into our foster home beautifully. We enjoy playing with each other as well as when Foster Meowmy interacts with us using a wand toy with enticing hanging balls. We’re also curious and love to explore, so watch those open cabinet and closet doors! We may sneak inside for a peek.

I heard Foster Meowmy tell someone, “It’s been amazing watching Dumpling and Dim Sum grow up into such fine young gentlemen. They’d be a wonderful addition to any family. We hate to see them go, but they deserve a forever home to share their abundant love with their forever owners.” Hope you’re convinced that you should arrange to meet us right away! We plan to be at the PetSmart/Pearland Saturday adoption day every week.

Elsa #craves-treats

You are here:
INDEPENDENT & INQUISITIVE

DOB 8/25/21

Hello everyone! I’m Elsa, a sweet, stunningly beautiful black DSH/Bombay mix with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. I’m independent and very inquisitive. I’m initially shy but am so food-driven that I always nudge closer to my foster meowmy for a good treat.

I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings. I can also entertain myself because I love balls with bells, catnip mice, and crinkle toys. Plus I’m very comfortable around the dogs and other cats in my foster home.

Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." I’m so grateful that I was rescued into a foster home because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability.

I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! I’d like nothing better than for you to open your heart and home to me. I’ll need patience and time to come out of my shell in my new digs, but it will be worth the effort! I’m one little black panther who’ll leave tiny paw prints all over your heart

Emme #doll-on-the-doormat

FUR AS SOFT AS A BUNNY'S

DOB 5/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Emme, a friendly, affectionate, stunningly beautiful “bicolor” gal, which means than I’m mostly white with red tabby on my head, back, and tail. I have unique facial markings, big green eyes, and fur as soft as a bunny’s. I’m quite a lovely package, not to mention that it’s rare for female kitties to be red tabbies.

I like to snuggle next to Foster Meowmy’s thigh rather than on her lap, and I enjoy it when she picks me up for a quick cuddle. I luxuriate when she pets me – whether it’s scratching my cheeks, chin, and ears or rubbing my back and belly. I like to hang out in the same room as Foster Meowmy just to be near her as well as to monitor her activities Although I don’t interfere, if you need a supurr-viser, I'm the gal for you!

My birth momma scoped out the neighborhood and decided that the doormat of Foster Meowmy’s back patio was the perfect spot to bring her litter when we were almost newborns. I’m so grateful that Momma wanted a better life for us than the hardscrabble outdoor life and that Foster Meowmy invited us in. All I can remember is being indoors with Foster Meowmy and her other foster cats, although I haven’t been around dogs or kids. I’m a teenager at heart, so I can entertain myself by playing soccer with my crinkle balls and catnip mice, but I also enjoy roughhousing with the other kitties.

I’m looking for my forever home, so I hope that my sweet innocent expression and big globe eyes have captured your heart. Arrange to meet me today! True confessions: I tend to be shy at the adoption days because they can be busy and chaotic. However, that’s not my true personality when I get back home.

MELLOW AND EASYGOING CUDDLE KING

DOB 4/1/15

Hey there, everyone! I’m Felix, and I’m a very friendly, affectionate, and mellow “bicolor” fella, which means that I’m mostly white with black on my head, “saddleback,” and tail. I’m really quite handsomely marked with a big circular patch of black on my left side. I’m crazy about Foster Meowmy because she coos over me, brushes me, and strokes me gently. I love to snuggle with her every night. I enjoy children because they will play with me. I’m quite the soccer striker in that I like to bat around crinkle balls and catnip mice.

I was living very happily with my “bestie” Squeekers in a home where we were really cherished, but unfortunately our hooman had some financial setbacks in this inflationary economy. When she learned that she was going to be evicted, Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and offered to foster her darlings [us] until HOPE could find us a wonderful new home. Foster Meowmy is insisting that we be adopted together as a bonded pair in an effort to mitigate the upheaval we’ve already experienced.

Although I haven’t been around dogs, I’m an easy-going dude who gets along great with other cats and kids, and with proper introductions, I might do great with pooches too. If you’ve got a medium to quiet home, Squeekers and I are the pair for you. Arrange to meet us today!

DOB 3/6/23

Looking for a great furry companion who's really quite funny and silly? Then I'm you're man! I'm George, a sweet and adorable spotted red tabby fella who always has a surprised look on my face. Yes, like George Weasely of Harry Potter fame, I'm a George with flaming red hair.

My favorite activity is playtime, and I love interactive play with my foster meowmy when she waves the wand toy over my head. My curiosity gets the best of me, and I'll follow Foster Meowmy all over the house because I can't resist chasing string and feathers! I’m also a very inquisitive little guy, and I find folding laundry and other daily tasks fascinating to watch!

I'm one of the #crazy-8-gang who was born to a feral momma in Foster Meowmy's neighborhood. Thankfully she scooped us all up to bring us inside. I love to play tag with my many siblings! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we're exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle for a nap. I'm not a leader, so I usually follow around my brother Harry.

I'm looking for a home where hoomans will play with me and love me a lot! I hope you'll arrange to meet me so I can leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. Consider adopting me with Harry so we can keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Godzilla #monster-duo-kitty

You are here:
GOOFY, SASSY FELLA

DOB 8/24/19

Howdy everyone! I’m Godzilla, a goofy, sassy, curious, and energetic brown tabby fella who’s proud of my monster-name. I may be a big boy like Godzilla, but I’m a sweet marshmallow at heart. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share.

I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids.

During Tropical Storm Imelda, my sister Mothra and I, the #monster-duo, were found as orphan kittens with no momma in sight. My foster mom heard my crying on a driveway, and she says that I’ve continued to let everyone know my opinions ever since. I was the runt of my litter and was bottle-fed by my foster pawrents. Boy did I love my bottle!

Those “nursing” sessions ended up being a great time to bond with my humans and probably explain why I’m so sociable with people. The bottle has now been replaced with cat treats, which have probably contributed to my “plus-size.”

If you’re looking for a friendly feline companion who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

Han #bestie-of-Mason

You are here:
IT'S MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY!

DOB 4/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Han, a sweet, friendly, outgoing, and playful grey tabby fella who loves everyone – hoomans of all ages, dogs (at least the small ones whom I’ve met), and other kitties. I have the temperament of a natural leader, and small as I am, I like to stay in charge of the situation. That’s why –when I decide that I want to – I get up on the sofa with Foster Meowmy so we can binge on Netflix and Animal Planet together.

Foster Meowmy rescued me from hanging around a dumpster in New Caney. An orphan with no momma or siblings in sight, I was only one month old and living the hardscrabble life at a much-too-young age. Once I arrived to my foster home, I was welcomed by the other cats and little dogs, who have served as my surrogate aunts and uncles and taught me everything my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. It wasn’t long before a new foster kitten arrived. Mason is a month younger than I am and has become my “bestie” playmate and surrogate sister. So now I have a whole surrogate family as well as a loving Foster Meowmy!

Although I like it here, I know I need a home of my very own where I’ll have fewer kitties to compete with my hooman’s attention. So now I’m all ready to “graduate” to my forever home. If you like spunky kittens who have leadership qualities, a.k.a. a mind of their own and a take-charge attitude, I’m the dude for you! Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with Mason because I’ll need a playmate. We can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

GIVES KITTY HANDSHAKES

DOB 3/6/23

Hello there! I'm Harry, and just like Prince Harry, I have the "ginger gene," which is responsible for my flaming red hair. I'm a winsome, entertaining tabby fella who’s easy to pick up and cuddle. I love to snuggle with Foster Meowmy as well as greet her with a "kitty handshake," i.e. touch my nose to her hand.  I also cleverly learned to give high-fives with my paw. I’m quite a chatty chap because I chirp and meow to my family when I'm feeling comfy and happy.

I can’t resist playtime whether it’s with kids, other kitties, or myself. I'm full of energy, and interactive play with my foster family is my favorite calorie-burner. I’ll chase strings all day long if someone will play with me! I love all sorts of toys, especially little stuffed animals and balls that I can bat around and chase. After I‘ve played soccer with them, I’ll carry the soft, fuzzy ones around in my mouth. When I’ve had a surfeit in the exercise department, I'll jump on and climb the cat tree to catch my breath or perhaps a quick cat nap.

I'm one of the #crazy-8-gang who was born to a feral momma in Foster Meowmy's neighborhood. Thankfully she scooped us all up to bring us inside. I love to play with my many siblings! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we're exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle for a nap.

I hope you'll arrange to meet me so you can find out that I’m more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Since I'm the leader of my pack, my siblings follow me around. Consider adopting me with my brother George so we can keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

DOB 2/21/17

Looking for a kitty in need? One who has gone through really rough times and has successfully come out on the other side? Harry is your guy. And you can't find a sweeter, more mild-tempered kitty than Harry is. This loaf of a kitty is undemanding and just wants to chill at your place.

Harry is a playful, affectionate, talkative kind of guy, whether he's batting around his favorite toys, cuddling on the couch, or exploring the house, Harry always brings a smile to everyone's face. Altered FIV-positive cats can live with non-FIV cats.

Hera #Greek-god-gang-queen

You are here:
GENTLY ASKS FOR ATTENTION

DOB 8/14/18

Hey there, everyone. I’m Hera, who was named after the Queen of the Greek gods. I’m a sweet, playful, and beautiful tortie who gently (clawlessly) paws at Foster Meowmy when I want to lure her over for some individual attention. I may even give her hand a soft, good-natured love-bite, but I don’t have a mean bone in my body. You see, after many years of my being deprived of hooman love, I’m luxuriating in whatever affection Foster Meowmy and I can now exchange.

I had been a stray who'd had multiple litters over several years. I was worn out because I barely had time to recuperate before I became pregnant again. A nice lady decided to “stop the cycle” and rescued me and my “fresh” litter, the #Greek-god-gang of four kittens. Unfortunately there was house fire where this nice lady lived, so we then went to another foster home before we ultimately ended up with our Foster Meowmy.

I was dirty, dehydrated, and could barely breathe when I first arrived, and the vet diagnosed that my problem was asthma. Thank heavens that Foster Meowmy is a very experienced HOPE volunteer who initially administered breathing treatments. I’m delighted to report that, after my respiratory therapy and my living in a low-dust, clean environment for awhile, my breathing is very much improved.

Now that I’m fully retired from being a doting momma, I’m ready to find my forever home where loving affection and attention can be lavished upon ME and not always on my kittens. Foster Meowmy says that as long as my new home is low-dust and clean, my asthma should be kept under control with no further treatments. I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! My heart has so much love to give --- all I need is YOU!

Hermes #Greek-god-gang

You are here:
ANY TIME IS PERFECT TIME FOR CUDDLE TIME

DOB 6/12/24

Hey there, everyone. I’m Hermes, and I’m a sweet, affectionate orange tabby fella in the #Greek-god-gang. I was named after the messenger god – you know, the guy with winged sandals. I’m very much a lap kitty who thinks that any time is the perfect time to cuddle with Foster Meowmy.

My momma Hera had been a stray who had had multiple litters over several years. A nice lady decided to “stop the cycle” and rescued Hera and her “fresh” litter, i.e. my three siblings, Dionysus, Hebe, Apollo, and me. Being the smallest of my brothers doesn’t stop me from loving to tackle them, and I keep up with the best of them.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. If you’re looking for an absolute cuddle bug and lap kitty, I’m the boy for you! Although we’re available separately, my siblings in the #Greek-god-gang think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted in two pairs. Two is more fun than one, and that way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today!

Hunter Braveheart #Magnolia-four

You are here:
SURVIVED TWO SNAKE BITES

DOB 7/15/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Hunter Braveheart, a friendly, affectionate red tabby fella with white tuxedo markings who loves to be held and petted. I adore crawling up in Foster Meowmy’s lap while she’s reading, and that’s when I turn on my purr motor to show my delight at spending quality time with her.

I’m one of the #Magnolia-four who emerged from the piney woods of Magnolia with no momma in sight. Luke Braveheart, Sir Jasper, Sir Julian, and I were obviously dumped by our family because, when we showed up at a home next to the wooded area, we were friendly yet evasive with the occupants. We were eager to eat the food they immediately offered us but didn’t trust them enough to let them catch us. You see, as two-month-old kittens, we’d already been exposed to a lot of danger in the woods. I’d been bitten twice by a snake as well as sustained a wound on my tail. (Thank heavens I’m completely recovered from my injuries.) Fortunately the nice family solicited the help of some HOPE volunteers, who coaxed us into some carriers and whisked us away to our foster home.

Boy howdy! We’re all relieved to be safe inside our foster home. The four of us tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. We all love to play interactively when Foster Meowmy waves the wand toy over our heads or snakes it around the room for us to chase, and we scramble around the room as she bounces the red laser dot up the walls and over the furniture. We’re also intrigued by batting the balls to roll around on the track of the various levels of the “ball-tower.”

Now it’s time for me to settle into our forever homes. If you want a soft purring in your ear while you're turning the pages of the book you're reading, I'm the perfect fella for you! Arrange to meet me today! My [brave]heart has so much love to give -- all I need is YOU!

Indy #copper-penny-eyes

You are here:
EASY-GOING LOVEBUG

DOB 9/1/21

Howdy everyone! I’m Indy, a handsome, easy-going black DSH/Bombay mix dude with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. It took me a while to learn that being petted, chin scratches, and lap time with my foster dad might just be a good thing. My momma Luna led the way, so I started curling up on my foster dad’s warm chest for a quick power nap and discovered that it was pretty delightful.

My favorite pastimes include following my foster dad into the bathroom (Bombay mixes can be very dog-like), looking handsome, and watching the world go by as I bask in a patch of sunshine on a windowsill. My favorite likes are dry food, toys with tassels, and warm beds.  Arrange to meet me today. Find out if YOUR chest could be my next napping station!

CHARISMATIC AND SPIRITED

DOB 5/7/23

Are you longing for a furry friend who's as full of energy as affection? Meet me, charismatic and spirited Jason Todd, who's ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless cuddles into your life. I’m a kitten who's always ready to embark on new and thrilling experiences. Beyond my adventurous demeanor, I have a softer side that adores cuddles and quality time with Foster Meowmy. What's a love of exploration if I have no one to share it with? I’m always there for her in an instant, ready to provide comfort after a long day.

Named after the third Robin in the comic-book series Batman, I’m known for my outgoing personality and heart of gold. My energy knows no bounds! I’m a whirlwind of fun and games that’s always ready to chase after toys, pounce on imaginary prey, and keep Foster Meowmy entertained with my boundless enthusiasm.

I’m a black DSH/Bombay mix fella with expressive gold eyes and sprinkles of salt mixed in my black fur. I’m an instant head-turner, if I do say so myself. My gorgeous appearance is matched only by my captivating personality, which adds up to my being a kitten few will be able to resist.

My stray momma birthed my four Batman siblings and me at an apartment complex in Cypress, and thankfully we came to Foster Meowmy’s home for her to give us a chance at an enriched indoor life. Now I’m ready to find my forever home where I can be Johnny-on-the-spot to comfort my hooman after a long day. Perhaps my next adventure is with you!

Jenna #cuddle-expert

You are here:
ENDEARING PERSONALITY, UNDYING DEVOTION

DOB 9/21/18

Looking for a sweet, affectionate kitty who will make you feel cherished by her gentle purrs and head nudges? Then I’m the perfect gal for you! Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Jenna, a loyal and loving black DSH/Bombay gal who’s a real cuddle expert. At bedtime, I curl up next to Foster Meowmy to share her warmth and comfort throughout the night.

Although I’m initially timid when I meet someone, once they warm up to me and I get to know them, I luxuriate in being stroked down my back as well as scratched on my chin, cheeks, and ears. I’m more of a lap cat than a fan of being picked up and carried around. My eyes light up with excitement at the sight and smell of snacks because I’m always up for a tasty treat. One of my favorite pastimes is watching the birds outside the window because I’m captivated by their graceful flights and playful chirps.

My street-stray momma ran inside future Foster Meowmy’s home and immediately birthed my litter of four under her bed. Foster Meowmy turned to HOPE to help get us vetted as well as adopted, and, sure enough, I was adopted as the Pet of the Week at the PetSmart Pearland.

Unfortunately, I was found in a trap several years later. I can’t explain to Foster Meowmy exactly what happened, but she thinks either I was dumped outdoors, or else I dashed out the door and couldn’t find my way back home. As a previously indoor kitty, I wasn’t used to foraging for prey, so the yummy food attracted me inside the trap. Thank heavens I was traced back to HOPE through my trusty microchip.

When Foster Meowmy took me to the vet to get updated vaccines, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Who knows how long I’d been outside, but probably I contracted FIV from a deep bite wound from an intact male cat.

Despite my loving nature, I’ve admittedly had some real setbacks in my life. However, my spirit has never been dampened! I certainly deserve a caring and understanding family the second time around. With my endearing personality and undying devotion, I promise to be a constant source of joy and love in my next family’s life.

Arrange to meet me today! And you know there are advantages to adopting a kitty like me who’s outgrown the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories.

This very unique kitty is not a fan of being held as he loves his tippy-toes and rubbing up to you instead.  Loving the company of other talkative and friendly cats, Jin adjusts to quiet environments the best as he wants to be the one to make the music.  Meet Jin and fall in love.

Johnny #patio-posse

You are here:
HIGH-ENERGY CHATTERBOX

DOB 8/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Johnny, a sweet, talkative, and handsome red tabby fella who is the leader of my litter of sisters. I’m a brave, curious, and inquisitive Marco Polo, so I explore all the nooks and crannies of my foster domain, and then maybe my sisters will follow me. That said, I’m a real momma’s boy – anytime momma is around, I’m right there with her. Since she’s a red tabby too, maybe I stick around her because I’m her spitting image.

I’m a little ball of energy, and I love to play soccer with jingle-bell balls and catnip mice. My favorite part of the day is playing interactively with my foster family when they dangle the wand toy over my head or snake it around the room. I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my sisters Mavis and Sassy. Since they’re pretty petite, you can guess who wins our feline Olympics. When we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Red Tabby Momma decided to live in my foster family’s backyard. It wasn’t long before she had my litter under some bushes. As my sisters and I got older, we started exploring and ended up seeking refuge on the covered patio when it rained for two weeks. Foster Meowmy and her 13-year-old daughter scooped us up and starting taking care of us.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? Then arrange to meet me today. Incidentally, although we’re available separately, please consider adopting me with one of my sisters in the #patio-posse. It’d be the cat’s meow to have a built-in playmate and cuddle buddy when you’re at work or on vacation.

ADORES BELLY RUBS

DOB 3/23/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Julian, a handsomely marked gray tabby fella who has come to my own as a lap cat with my foster family, although I was initially quiet and reserved until I felt comfy in my new surroundings. It helps that I love to have my tummy rubbed, and my foster family is more than happy to accommodate my preferences. I’m a playful dude with my toys, my siblings, as well as the resident Yorkies.

My #three's-company litter, Aubrey, Collin and I, were rescued as orphans from our Foster pawrents' back yard. Now I’m ready to find my forever home, which could include cat-friendly dogs as well as other cats. Of course, it’d be the cat’s meow if I were adopted with my brother Collin. LOVES TO SPREAD HER PHERONOMES

DOB 5/4/23

Hi there! I’m Juniper, a cute, crafty, and clever brown tabby “ninja” gal who got my name because I’m a little “Junior” who looks like my dad. I’m initially shy with people, but once I warm up, I love to cuddle and to rub my pheromones on everyone!

Foster Meowmy found Momma and my #spring-shower-litter in her yard one stormy spring day. My brother Ollie as well as my sisters, Minnie, Spotty, and Angel, and I were just a few weeks old, so thank heavens Meowmy brought us safely inside to join the friendly resident cats. My foster home is calm and quiet without kids, but I have quite a rambunctious streak in me, so I’m open to a home with kids. I fit in well with the other kitties, but I'm apprehensive about the elderly Maltipoo.

Now I’m ready to find the forever home that I was promised, and if you’re looking for a shy but sweet “June bug,” I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today! Let's write new chapters in our lives together. Please consider adopting me with Juniper so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

HER SILLY ANTICS WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH

DOB 6/15/23

Hey there, everyone! I'm Kira, a sweet, friendly, and affectionate brown tabby gal who’s full of life and whose silly antics make Foster Meowmy laugh. I greet her with a purr or a playful swat and enjoy cuddling with her when the mood strikes. I’m her mellow, loyal companion who’s content to simply be at her side.

I’m a bold, curious, brave girl who’s not afraid of new experiences, investigating new sounds and smells, or exploring every nook and cranny. I learn things quickly and solve treat puzzles in no time. I’m gentle too in that I never misuse my claws when I’m playing. Foster Meowmy rescued me as a teenager in her neighborhood. I fit in beautifully with the #spunky-four litter when they arrived in my foster home.

So why should you adopt me? Because I'm a bundle of joy, ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and companionship. I promise that with me by your side, life will never be dull. Kisa #spunky-four

You are here:
BIG PERSONALITY YET SWEET AS HONEY

DOB 2/14/24

Hey there, everyone! I'm Kisa, a sweet, friendly, and affectionate green-eyed “bicolor” gal, which means that I’m mostly white with gray tabby on my face, back, and tail. I’ve got a big, outgoing personality, so I’m always eager to make new friends. I greet Foster Meowmy with a purr and enjoy cuddling with her when it’s time to relax. I’m her loyal companion, always by her side because I like to be her shadow. I learn things quickly, and I get lost in the moment entertaining myself with treat puzzles and my toys. I’m gentle too for a kitten in that I never misuse my claws when I’m playing.

Foster Meowmy rescued the #spunky-four (a.k.a.me and my three siblings Tom, Snow, and Luna) as orphans in her neighborhood. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

When you adopt me, you’ll bring home a loving, intelligent companion. You'll never be bored with me around! Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with one of my siblings so we can keep each other company when you’re at work or on vacation

Kittie #bunny-kicker

You are here:
HER PURR WILL LOWER YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE

DOB 5/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Kittie, a sweet, playful “torbie” gal, which means that I’m mostly brown tabby with patches of orange that look like I was splashed with caramel in a candy factory. I’m a friendly, affectionate lap kitty who enjoys it when Foster Meowmy softly scratches my ears, chin, and cheeks or gives me a gentle belly rub. That’s when I turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot.

But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I love to play interactively with Foster Meowmy as she waves the feathered wand toy over my head or snakes string around the room. I have to admit that my favorite activity is bunny-kicking a catnip toy that unleashes my inner hunting instincts. I’m also adventurous and exult when I scale to the top of the cat tree. I love to explore around the house and, in my quieter moments, watch the wildlife fly and scamper by outside my window.

Future Foster Meowmy had been feeding a male kitty for a couple of months when he brought my momma Tori and me to the colony feeding station. I was about three months old, so, thinking that this male kitty was my daddy, Foster Meowmy got us both spayed right away. After we recuperated from surgery, she released Tori and me outside. However,  when another cat started attacking me, Foster Meowmy brought us both inside to safety.

Boy howdy! Was I ever relieved to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye! I’ve really thrived being inside with all the TLC Foster Meowmy has showered on me.  Foster Meowmy tried to network among her family and friends to find us our forever homes, but to no avail. So now she’s hoping that HOPE will give us the public exposure we need to be adopted into loving families.

If you're looking for a purr machine who transforms into a bunny-kicking monster, I'm the gal for you! Although we’re available separately, momma Tori and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. Two’s more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU

Koko #laser-enthusiast

You are here:
CUDDLING'S IN HIS GENES

DOB 6/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Koko, a sweet, friendly, affectionate, and playful bicolor fella, which means that I’m mostly white with black on my head, back, and tail. I love for Foster Meowmy to hold me in her arms, and I snuggle with her in bed. Cuddling is just in my genes. I also adore interactive play with Foster Meowmy when she bounces the laser light all around the room. I love to be her little helper when she makes her bed and puts her groceries away. Also, I’m her green-thumb gardener – or at least I wish I were one of the flowers.

When I was about 7 weeks old, a nice couple rescued me when a dog was chasing me in their neighbor’s yard. From the first time that they picked me up, I was the perfect cuddly boy who wasn’t scared of them one bit. My rescuers couldn’t keep me, but fortunately Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and agreed to foster me until I could be adopted. Since I was scooped up as an orphan with no siblings or momma in sight, the resident cats in my foster home have been my surrogate parents and taught me all the manners that my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around.

Now that I’m adjusted to my foster home, I “pay it forward” and become the surrogate big brother for the new orphaned kittens who arrive. Foster Meowmy says that I’m an excellent baby-kitten-sitter, although I don’t think I charge her enough for my services.   Now I’m ready for my forever home! If you’re looking for a laser enthusiast with a penchant for cuddling, I’m the boy for you! Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

Lena #streetwise-six

LOVES TO PLAY WITH HAIR & HANDS OR TUG ON YOUR CLOTHES

DOB 6/23/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Lena, and I’m a very sweet, friendly, and beautiful calico gal. I can be independent like a typical calico, but then again, I’m very fond of Foster Meowmy and like to play with her hair and hands or else tug on her clothes!

Momma Nala, Simba, Pooh, Chase, Curry, Dolly, and I have all thrived in our foster home.

Incidentally, my sister (as a tortie) and I (as a calico) color-coordinate quite nicely with our four cream- and orange-tabby brothers. Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart!

Little Bobbie #bestie-of-Tango

You are here:
RESCUED AS TINY ORPHAN, COVERED IN LEAVES & STICKS

DOB 4/7/22

Hello everyone! I’m Little Bobbie, and I’m an adorable, petite dilute gray tabby with white mittens and locket. Don’t you love my sweet, angelic face? I was a two-week-old orphan, covered in leaves and sticks, when I was rescued from a field. Neighbors had witnessed dogs chasing away my momma; alas, she never re-appeared. Several cat lovers took me inside and bottle-fed me along with several other bottle-babies who were my same age.

I have so much fun playing with my surrogate siblings. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re exhausted from all the fun, we collapse in a kitten puddle. The three resident cats have acted as my surrogate aunts and uncles who have taught me everything my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. I also get along great with the two big dogs in my foster home, so there are a lot of households where I would fit like a glove.

Although we’re available separately, my foster mate Tango and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we were adopted together. That way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

FOUND AS A JOBSITE STRAY KITTEN

DOB 8/26/22

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Lollis, a delightful torbie gal who has quite a heartwarming rescue story. (“Torbie” means that I’m a brown tabby with patches of peach that makes me look like I was splashed with caramel in a candy factory.) I was a stray orphan kitten fending for myself when future foster meowmy spotted me at her jobsite. It didn’t take me long to decide that she was meant to be my savior. I ran to her, and she scooped me up. I cuddled in her lap to make the unforgettable journey to my foster home, and we’ve been bonded ever since.

Once in my foster home, I was overjoyed to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye! Boy howdy! Brimming food and water bowls, climate control, and safety from predators all spelled security and happiness to me. I get along great with the other cats and resident dogs. I have a playful and independent spirit, which makes me a perfect companion for kids. Although I usually maintain my freedom, there are those rare, cherished moments when I need a little snuggle and will seek cuddles from my hoomans.

Yes, I chose Foster Meowmy, and now it’s time for you to choose me to be your next feline companion. I want to become an integral part of your life and make every day an adventure worth sharing. Arrange to meet me today, and let’s form a bond that's unbreakable!

LOVING WALLFLOWER

DOB 4/9/21

Have you met Mama Lu, aka Miss Lu, aka LuluLove? She's somewhat independent and prefers to stay out of your way, but doesn't mind the ocasional demonstration of love.  She allows you to pet her, kiss her and hold her for a few minutes at the time. But once she's had enough you'll know.

Lu likes to play with her foster siblings but not for long periods of time. This independent spirit would do well in a quiet home and even one where people are gone for hours at a time. She is 100% capable of entertaining herself.  This sweet tortie is waiting to meet you.

Luffy #just-luffs-kids

LOYAL COMPANION WITH AMAZING PERSONALITY

DOB 4/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Luffy, a sweet, friendly, affectionate, and adoring brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings who thoroughly enjoys the company of my entire foster family, including the preschool kids. Since my gentle, calm temperament tolerates the kids' man-handling me, I got my name because the preschoolers say, "This kitty 'luffs' us." I have fun playing interactively with all my hoomans, and I’m a curious guy who likes exploring.

My foster meowmy surmises that I was someone’s pet who was allowed to go outside, and the inevitable happened when I was hit by a car. My future foster meowmy fortunately was the Good Samaritan who didn’t pass me by but rescued me and took me to her vet. I’m a brave fighter who narrowly escaped my leg's amputation through sheer determination, and I’m happy to report that my leg has healed beautifully.

Although my foster family cherishes me, I can’t permanently stay inside because of Foster Meowmy’s allergies. Plus, although I’m fantastic with the kids, I’m not keen on the other resident pets. So here I am looking for my new forever home.

Incidentally, I’m a very social kitty who would sink in a sea of despondency if I were left home all day alone. So whether you’re a noisy, chaotic young family or some stay-at-home empty-nesters who’re looking for a loyal companion with an amazing personality, I’d be the perfect addition to your home! Arrange to meet me today! By the way – bring on the kids or grandkids as I’d love to be their bedfellow once we get home.

Magic #smoke-tuxedo

LOVES TO LICK HANDS AND FEET

DOB 8/16/22

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Magic, a very quiet, gentle, and sweet gal who’s very uniquely colored because I’m what’s called a “smoke tuxedo.” This means that I’ve got the usual tuxedo markings of a white bib, chin, mittens, and belly, but my black fur has white roots, which can only be seen when my hair follicles are parted. I’m a princess who’s ravishingly beautiful, if I do say so myself.

I’ve got an adorable penchant for licking people’s hands and feet. Of course, I’m always up for pouncing and tumbling, climbing and wrestling with my brothers, Max and Oreo. When I need some alone time away from my rambunctious brothers, I love to nap in the sun.

My momma Joanie was heavily pregnant outside a country Dollar Store in the middle of nowhere when she was rescued by a HOPE volunteer. Just in the nick of time because my litter was born a few days after momma arrived in our foster home!

Sometimes I can be a little quiet and shy because I’ve been a bit disrupted by being shifted among several foster homes through no fault of my own. I’d do best if I were adopted into a quiet home without dogs, other cats, or young children. Arrange to meet me today!

Marley #the-survivor

SUGAR 'N SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE

DOB 6/15/19

Hey there, everyone! I’m Marley, a beautiful, loving, docile, playful dilute tortie gal with mesmerizing big, gold eyes. I’ve got plenty of “tortitude,” which just means that I’m like hooman little girls: “sugar 'n spice and everything nice.” I can be very sweet when I’m relaxed, and other times I can be feisty and independent. (What woman isn’t?) I enjoy hiding in a tub, and then I pop over the edge to pounce on Foster Meowmy’s hand. I like snuggling with my hooman brother when we sleep in bed together.

I’m very friendly with dogs as well as hoomans of all ages, but I do not like other cats. Fortunately, Foster Meowmy knows how to handle my ‘tude by providing plenty of indoor enrichment – like the feather wand toy, catnip kicker toys, and food puzzles.

Foster Meowmy understands that I’ve had a challenging life that no dainty lady with a gorgeous pastel fur coat should have had to endure. The only positive thing that my first owners did was spay me. I guess they thought that spaying me gave them license to expose me to the dangers of outdoor life. Consequently, I survived being shot in my neck with a BB gun. Yikes! Lastly, my owners just abandoned me!

Fortunately, Foster Meowmy became my advocate and stepped up to the plate to foster me until HOPE could find me a much better forever home. In her words, “Marley just needs a safe place to truly blossom.” Amen! And I’m thriving in my foster home. What girl doesn’t love indoor amenities like climate control, spa days, and plenty of entertainment?

I hope my story has plucked your heartstrings and that you’ll arrange to meet me. I just know that you’ll be up for handling a sweet and spicy torite. It’s not really that hard.

Mary #Hocus-Pocus-crew

USES HER SCRATCHING POST AS A TOY

DOB 6/21/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Mary, a gentle, affectionate, and easygoing brown tabby gal who was named after the witch Mary Sanderson in Disney’s Hocus Pocus movie. Although I was initially shy and hesitant when I first arrived in my foster home, now that I’ve adjusted to my new “digs,” I’ve really come out of my shell and luxuriate when Foster Meowmy coos in my ear and gently strokes me as we cuddle together.

A nice lady who lived in a trailer park spotted a very-pregnant black cat and brought her inside her trailer to protect her from the pit bulldogs who were running loose outside. Sure enough, Momma Winifred birthed the four of us #Hocus-Pocus kittens inside the trailer, but it was too many cats in a small space with the resident cats who already lived there. The nice lady became so overwhelmed that she considered putting us all outside. Fortunately, her daughter reached out to a work colleague, who agreed to foster us into her home.

Momma Winifred, Billy, Sarah, Binx, and I have all thrived in foster care. Momma has doted on us and taught us all the manners we need to know. My siblings and I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’m quite the soccer striker as I bat my cat spring toys around the room, and then I grab a cat nap atop the cat tree. I have such excellent scratching-post manners that you could say it’s one of my favorite toys! I absolutely love Foster Meowmy’s two-year-old son and am curious about the resident dogs and cats on the other side of the foster-room door.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with your family? Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with one of my three #Hocus-Pocus siblings. That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. We promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart!

HER NAME COMMEMORATES HER EXCITING, DANGEROUS RESCUE

DOB 5/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Mason, a sweet, outgoing, and playful tortie gal who loves everyone – hoomans of all ages, dogs (at least the small ones whom I’ve met), and other kitties. My foster meowmy named me Mason because that very road was the venue for my hair-raising rescue.

You see, when I was a month old, I knew just the car to scurry underneath when it was stopped for a light at a busy intersection on Mason Road – the car of a seasoned HOPE cat-rescuer. When she realized that I was under her car, she refused to move and consequently blocked traffic. Fortunately patrolling deputies came to investigate the traffic jam, protected Foster Meowmy's car from passing traffic, and eventually got me safely into her hands. Talk about Claw and Order!! Boy howdy, I was immobilized with fear there for a while but breathed a sigh of relief when I realized that I was out of danger. The well-meaning employees at the near-by CVS even provided cat food and a transport box to get me home.

Once I arrived at my foster home, I met the little dogs, other cats, and Han, another foster kitten. He's a month older than I am and has become my “bestie” playmate and  surrogate brother. The older kitties have become my surrogate aunts and uncles, and they've taught me everything my momma would've if she'd been around.

Now I’m all ready to “graduate” to my forever home. If you like kittens whose past includes danger and excitement, I’m certainly the gal for you! Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with Han so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Maverick #top-gun-of-your-heart

You are here:
THE PERFECT SECOND BANANA

DOB 5/21/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Maverick, a super-sweet, loving, and friendly Bombay mix fella with extra-soft fur that makes me all the plusher for you to cuddle with. My favorite pastime is when Foster Meowmy waves the feathered wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room for me to chase. I’m the perfect “second banana” because I get along great with all the other foster kitties. We have a ball chasing each other through the cat tunnel.

I met Foster Meowmy when I walked up her driveway and introduced myself when I was just a baby. The gossip around the neighborhood was that she was the “cat lady” who fed some stray cats, so that’s how I knew where to go for my next meal. I was tickled pink that she reached down to scoop me up, and off she took me to a better life inside! I had previously scratched the cornea of my left eye, so she took me to the vet. Thank heavens the treatment is working, and my eye improves with each passing day.

Now I’m ready for my loving forever home. If you’re looking for a “Top Gun” Maverick who loves to cuddle, I’m the handsome dude for you! Arrange to meet me today! Let’s start writing new chapters in our lives together!

GENTLE DEMEANOR UNITL PLAYTIME

DOB 8/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Mavis, a sweet, easygoing, and playful black gal with a few tortie points. I have a very gentle demeanor until I start play-fighting with my momma and siblings. I’m a little ball of energy, and I love to play soccer with jingle-bell balls and catnip mice. My favorite part of the day is playing interactively with my foster family when they dangle the wand toy over my head or snake it around the room. I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings Johnny and Sassy. When we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

My Momma decided to live in my foster family’s backyard. It wasn’t long before she had my litter under some bushes. As my siblings and I got older, we started exploring and ended up seeking refuge on the covered patio when it rained for two weeks. Foster Meowmy and her 13-year-old daughter scooped us up and starting taking care of us.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? Then arrange to meet me today. Incidentally, although we’re available separately, please consider adopting me with one of my siblings in the #patio-posse. It’d be the cat’s meow to have a built-in playmate and cuddle buddy when you’re at work or on vacation.

"SUCH A CHARACTER"

DOB 8/16/22

Howdy, everyone! I’m Max, and I’m an extremely affectionate, easy-going, friendly “bicolor” fella, which means that I’m black on my head, back, and tail but white on my undercarriage and legs. I also have adorable white cheeks and a white blaze up my nose! Foster Meowmy says that I’m “such a character.” Shucks, just because I’m fearless and get into everything?

I love to sleep with my foster meowmy as well as spend time in her lap. I’m a cuddly gent, which makes me a wonderful family cat. Dogs? Other cats? Kids? Yeah, bring ‘em on! I’m an alert, curious dude who loves to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings Magic and Oreo.

My momma Joanie was heavily pregnant outside a country Dollar Store in the middle of nowhere when she was rescued by a HOPE volunteer. Just in the nick of time because my litter was born a few days after momma arrived in our foster home!

Arrange to meet me today! I'm more fun than a barrel of monkeys! Although we're available separately, it'd be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with Magic so we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

I'M NO SCAREDY CAT

DOB 3/1/24

Meet Maya, a well-adjusted, friendly female kitty who was rescued from a high-kill shelter along with her 5 babies. Maya longs for a home of her own where she can shower you with love and affection. She enjoys being with you but is respectful of boundaries.

Maya was very protective of her babies so has a dislike of dogs that she feels may harm her (or her babies). Maya does get along with other friendly cats after a proper introduction. Don't miss out on making this kitty part of your home.

Merle Haggard aka Cotton #ramblin-man

You are here:
EAGER BEDFELLOW

DOB 5/18/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Merle Haggard, a.k.a. Cotton, and I’m a sweet, handsome brown tabby boy who got my name because my first owner never neutered me, and like Merle Haggard, I got Ramblin’ Fever. One day I appeared in Foster Meowmy’s apartment complex as a friendly stray who wanted everyone to pet me. Every day a little 10-year-old girl would sit on the sidewalk and play with me, but no one claimed me as theirs.

Suddenly it hit me that, just like Ramblin’ Fever’s lyrics say, “I’d like to bed down on a sofa and let some pretty lady rub my back.” So I howled at future Foster Meowmy’s door and asked to come inside with her other kitties. Thankfully, she obliged, and after all that time without sufficient hooman attention, I luxuriated when she picked me up and held me. Now I enjoy sleeping with her every night, and I’m very docile when she clips my claws.

I’ve had my challenges with my introductions to her three cats. I’m not aggressive, and with the female, I lie on my back with my paws folded; with the male kitty who’s a scaredy cat and keeps his distance, I tried playfully to chase him without much cooperation; however, with one male cat who’s territorial, fur can fly when we meet. This may just be because my testosterone level has not fully dissipated after my neutering as a mature kitty. As time passes, we could get along better and hopefully someday play together. I know for sure that I love children and would be a perfect bedmate for kids, and I’d probably get along great with easy-going, cat-friendly dogs.

I hope that my rescue story has plucked your heartstrings and that you’ll arrange to meet me. I have so very much love to share – all I need is YOU! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a mature fella like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’d be much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories.

Midnight #mr-congenial

You are here:
LET'S PLAY TAG -- NOW YOU'RE IT!

DOB 3/25/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Midnight, and I’m a friendly, affectionate, playful, and sociable Bombay mix fella who soaks up all the attention that Foster Meowmy showers on me. I especially like it when she coos over me, hugs me, and gently strokes my cheeks and chin. Bombay mix kitties are often called Velcro cats because we love to stick so close to our hoomans.

Thank heavens Foster Meowmy rescued me from a “free to good home” post on Next Door. My goodness, I shudder to think what would’ve happened if I’d gotten into the wrong hands – i.e. those of a black-magic occultist or a lab-animal experimenter. Ugh! I’ve been a welcome addition to my foster home in that I get along great with the foster kittens Patrick and Peter as well as the resident cats. I love to play chase with them all, especially “I tag you, now you’re it!” when they turn around and chase me. Sometimes I need a “time out,” and that’s when I climb to the highest spot on the cat tree so I can observe the shenanigans going on down below me.

Although it’s been mutually delightful for everyone since I’ve been in my foster home, Foster Meowmy is moving soon and can’t take me with her. I needed to find my forever home anyway. So I hope you’ll fall in love with my sleek, shiny patent-leather coat as well as my big green-olive eyes and arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

Mikey #he-eats-anything

LOVES TO CUDDLE, PLAY, AND ENTERTAIN

DOB 5/18/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Mikey, a sweet, friendly, curious, playful, and entertaining “bicolor,” which means that I'm mostly white with grey tabby on my head, back, and tail. I got my name from a 1972 Quaker Oaks “Mikey Likes It” commercial of a toddler who would “eat anything.” That’s me, and I’m not ashamed at all! There are cats starving in China, so no food should be tossed out!

You see, my family moved out of their apartment and left me behind to fend for myself outside. I’m a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, so I made the best of my situation. I enjoyed climbing trees, chasing squirrels, and following folks when they walked their dogs. I assumed that an open apartment door was an invitation for me to mosey on in, and everyone adored me. Only problem was, nobody wanted to adopt a stray cat, which is what I really wanted. So “I ate anything” until my future foster meowmy decided that she wanted to foster me until she could find me my forever home with a family who’d never abandon me again.

Here I am in my foster home, happy as a lark with the other kitties. I love to cuddle beside Foster Meowmy as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet, and when she heads for bed, I curl up at her feet. And boy howdy! I love to entertain my hoomans when we interactively play with feather wand-toys and laser pointers as well as when I play soccer with my crinkle balls and catnip mice. I’d be a great kids’ playmate as long as they knew that I don’t like to be picked up.

Arrange to meet me today! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a kitty like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories.

Miles #front-desk-greeter

You are here:
HANDSOME MARBLE SWIRLS ON HIS SIDES

DOB 7/1/17

Hey there, everyone! I’m Miles, a sweet, friendly, playful Classic brown-tabby fella who loves everybody – hoomans, other kitties, as well as dogs. “Classic tabby” means that I have marble swirls on my sides instead of the typical mackerel tabby stripes, so I’m marked quite unusually and handsomely.

A Good Samaritan found me as a friendly stray with a cut on my ear at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land. Since I was very sociable and already neutered, it’s assumed that my family dumped me in the park in hopes that someone would rescue me. This is happening a lot in this inflationary economy because people can’t afford to care of their pets.

The Good Samaritan turned to HOPE for help, but since no foster meowmy was available, I was taken to a boarding kennel. The employees have fallen in love with me and bring me up to the front desk to greet the customers. All the noise, barking dogs, and general commotion don’t faze me a bit.

When a HOPE volunteer took me to the vet to get updated vaccines, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Who knows how long I'd been homeless, but I probably contracted FIV from a deep bite wound from another cat who attacked me.

I've admittedly had some real setbacks in my life. However, my spirit has never been dampened! I would appreciate a home where I’ll be safe and get lots of attention. I know there’s a home out there where I’ll be cherished for the sweet, playful, and easygoing fella that I am. A family with kids, another cat, or dog to play with would be an added bonus. Could that be with you?

Arrange to meet me today! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a kitty like me who's outgrown the stage of kitten mayhem. I'm much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories.

Mimosa #marble-swirls

You are here:
PRETTY AS A MIMOSA BLOSSOM

DOB 5/16/23

If you like the “high” you get from a Sunday-brunch mimosa, I’m the kitty for you! Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Mimosa, and I got my name because I’m such a sweet, amazing, friendly, and affectionate “feel-good” Classic-tabby bicolor kitten. "Classic tabby" means that I have marble swirls on my sides instead of the usual mackerel stripes. "Bicolor" means that I’m mostly white with brown tabby on my head, back, and tail. I also was named Mimosa because I'm as pretty as the tree's cotton-candy-like blooms. I'm really a stunning sight for sore eyes, if I do say so myself!

I love attention, and I’m one of the few kitties who actually likes to be picked up by Foster Meowmy. At bedtime, I love scampering under the covers and then settling down to snuggle next to Foster Meowmy for the rest of the night.

I was crying for food when Foster Meowmy opened her front door one morning. She has a reputation for being a tenderhearted “cat lady,” so most likely I was dumped by a neighbor who had found me. Of course she brought me inside, where I fit in seamlessly with her other cats and small dogs.

The adult cats have ended up being my surrogate mommas who’ve taught me everything that my momma would’ve taught me if she were here. I also enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with the older foster kittens. I’m very nimble at scurrying after the red-laser dot when Foster Meowmy bounces it around the room.

Now I’m ready for my forever home, which can have other friendly pets. Arrange to meet me today! If you take me home, next Sunday brunch you can have a Mimosa on me to celebrate!

Missy Longstocking #docile-lapcat

You are here:
THE MARVELOUS MISS STOCKING

DOB 4/15/22

Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m very, very sweet, friendly, and curious Missy Longstocking, a sleek, elegant harlequin gal with big jade-globe eyes and who’s mostly white with large patches of dark gray. Foster Meowmy named me “Longstocking” because I’m tall with graceful legs that look to be wearing gray stockings. Meowmy is amazed that I don’t have one ounce of “catitiude,” and I heard her exclaiming that I’m the most docile cat she’s ever met.

Although I’m not a big fan of being picked up, I happily curl up in Foster Meowmy’s lap and turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot. We then enjoy prime-time together as she gently brushes me or offers me squeezable treats. But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I adore interactive play as Foster Meowmy waves the fishing-wand toy over my head because I can show off my acrobatic prowess as I lunge and pounce on my “prey.”

I have quite a dangerous backstory. A Good Samaritan was driving down Beltway 8 when she spotted me, partially inside a bag, as I huddled in the median. Thank heavens that she’s not scared of much, so she pulled over and quickly grabbed me as cars whizzed by. When we got home, she saw that I was a little bruised, nicked, and scraped as well as very traumatized but overall healthy and uninjured.

I tolerate the other cats in my foster home, but I definitely don’t love them. I haven’t been around kids, but I was fine around a small, polite dog. Since I’m friendly and well-adjusted, I might be very compatible with well-behaved children and cat-friendly dogs.

If you’re searching for a beautifully marked lady-long-legs who looks like a thoroughbred racehorse, I’m your gal! Arrange to meet me so we can exchange warm cuddles and you can guess the decibels on my purr motor. Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a young kitty like me who's past the mayhem of kitten craziness. I'll cause less chaos in your home and not be as likely to break your treasured accessories.

Mittens #polydactyl-cutie

You are here:
THUMBS UP!

DOB 3/22/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Mittens, a sweet, gentle, very submissive dilute-calico gal who’s friendly and sociable with hoomans of all ages. I'm a "bicolor," which means that I'm mostly white with blue and cream patches on my head, back, and tail. I’m what’s called a “polydactyl” because I have more toes on my front paws than most kitties. I’m very petite, and although I’m full grown, I’m the size of a seven-month old kitten.

My future foster meowmy was on a TNR mission when she found me, friendly but pregnant and living paw-to-mouth in a feral-cat colony at a very low-income immigrant apartment complex in southwest Houston. Thank heavens Foster Meowmy scooped me up and brought me home with her to foster me. I’m adjusting well to my safe, secure indoor life with brimming food and water bowls, climate control, and toys to play with.

However, trying to survive at that feeding station had been a very bad experience because I’d had to fight for food amongst the intact toms. So I’m understandably fearful of other cats and need to be an only-cat child in my forever home. If you’re looking for an affectionate baby-doll kitty who’ll always be the size of a kitten, I’m the polydactyl girl for you! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave many-toed paw prints all over your heart – not just because I’m eye candy but also because I’m so affectionate and loving.

OLYMPIC HIGH JUMPER

DOB 9/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Moji, a sweet yet very playful pastel brown tabby gal with big round eyes set in my angelic face. My name is short for Emoji because I have very distinctive Happy Faces on both of my wrists. I clearly favor my Foster Daddy, and I absolutely love it when he scratches my ears, cheeks, and chin. Even though I’m very petite and low to the ground, boy howdy, can I jump high when Foster Daddy waves the feather wand toy over my head!

The offspring of a feral momma, my litter of five was rescued from the mean streets of Houston by some Good Samaritans. I adore my foster home with all the indoor amenities like brimming food and water bowls, safety from predators, and climate control. The resident cats are fun to play with, and the big gentle Golden Retriever is a good nanny.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home, so I can’t wait to meet you! You’ll be a lucky family to have a sweetheart friend like me to pet and play with. Just give me a chance to relax and adjust to my new “digs” as I need a  little patience while I learn to trust you. Then "I"m yours!"

HONEST BUT TIMID

DOB 3/25/24

We sat down with Moon Pie to see what his situation was and what kind of forever home he was looking for. Below are excerpts of that interview.

Us: Hello Moon Pie. What a cute name. Was there a reason you were named that?

MP: No, not especially. Think my finder Googled exceptionally unusual and cute cat names.

Us: Alright, so you mentioned someone found you. Can you tell us more?

MP: I was born to a stray cat who got kicked out of her home due to a teenage pregnancy. Me and my 2 sisters lived on the streets and had to fight to survive. That's why I tend to hiss at strange things before knowing if they are friend or foe.

Us: Where do you see yourself in a year from now?

MP: I hope I'm in a home surrounded by love with a bottomless bowl of food and lots of cuddles. I do actually purr when I'm picked up. I really am a nice kitty, just scared of the unknown.

Mothra #monster-duo-kitty

You are here:
SWEET TALKER

DOB 8/24/19

Well hello everyone! I’m Mothra, a smart, gregarious, curious brown tabby "princess" with white tuxedo markings. I was named after a giant flying moth that was a popular "heroic" monster in horror films. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. I’m a “talker” who chirps and trills for everyone when I greet them, and then I plop down to receive a good belly rub.

I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids.

During Tropical Storm Imelda, my brother Godzilla and I, the #monster-duo, were found as orphan kittens with no momma in sight. Although I'm available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with Godzilla so we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, chatty princess who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood, I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

SWEET MOMMA

DOB 5/1/23

Ms Ethel was brought into HOPE when an elderly couple found her and her newborn babies in their backyard. Completely soaked and very hungry, the kitties needed immediate help. A foster stepped up and took in the forlorn family.

Fast forward months later, and all the kitties have been adopted with only momma cat left. Ms Ethel is a sweet mittened torbie. She still prefers not to be picked up but will come over to you for petting and snuggling. Ms Ethel is a stately kitty who is independent and can go hours on end without needing humans. She's simply a low-maintenance kind of gal.

PLAYFUL KITTY

DOB 8/9/23

Meet Olivia, a lovely, playful kitty with a calm disposition. While she is very curious and seems to want to learn everything about her environment, she's beyond the destructive kitten stage. Give her an interactive toy, and she will play contentedly by herself or with other kitties.

Olivia was rescued from a backyard with her three siblings and enjoys the company of cats and dogs. Even though Olivia is independent, she seeks out human attention and cuddles. And when she's in your lap, her motor starts up, and she purrs non-stop. Olivia is looking for her next adventure and wants to share it with you.

Otto #tuxedo-tabby

You are here:
SWEET BUT SHY

DOB 8/21/20

Meow! Meow, everyone! My name is Otto, and I’m a sweet though shy brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings. Don’t you love my white locket and four white mittens? I’m very sweet with my foster meowmy as well as the other cats in my foster home. I love and trust my foster meowmy when she pets and holds me. I even allow her to clip my claws.

When I was about a month old, my foster meowmy found my three siblings and me in an old abandoned car. After she got us all vetted and vaccinated, I was supposed to be adopted with my sister Zelda. When I arrived at my new home, I was my typical shy self because I was scared, so I found a hidey hole. Unfortunately the family didn’t give me the chance to settle in and warm up to my new surroundings, so I immediately went back to my foster meowmy.

I’m looking for forever adopters who will be patient with me as I warm up and feel comfy in my new “digs.” Ideally they will want to adopt me with one of my foster playmates like Squeeken whom I know well. Nothing like the moral support of a buddy to build my confidence in new situations!

Arrange to meet me today! There are advantages in adopting a cat who's past the stage of kitten mayhem. I'd be much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories.

Parker #chirps-when-contented

CHAIRING IS CARING

DOB 4/1/21

Hey there, everyone! I’m Parker, a sweet, easygoing tuxedo gal with pretty green eyes and high go-go boots who chirps to let Foster Meowmy know how contented I am. Although I’m not one to jump into her lap, once she puts me there, I luxuriate and purr blissfully until I fall asleep.

I was a homeless stray until I found the perfect home to bring my kittens. Foster Meowmy thought I was feral until I refused to leave her house! It turns out that I love the indoor life. Now that my kittens are weaned, I’m permanently retired from being a doting momma.

I truly enjoy relaxing in any comfy spot that I can find around the house, and I’m happy to share your favorite chair with you. I’m independent enough that I don’t demand too much attention, but I thrive anytime I get it. You see, I share my foster home with four resident cats, and although I get along okay with them, I’d love a forever home where there’s more space for me to relax and less competition for Foster Meowmy’s attention. One kitty would be perfect, but four is just too many for my taste.

I hope you’ll arrange to meet me. I can’t wait to find out, like Goldilocks, that your favorite chair is not too hard, not too soft, but just right! Remember, "chairing" is caring.

Hey there, everyone! I’m Pawdrey Hepburn, a brown-tabby beauty with tufted ears who’s as spunky as I am sweet. Since I’m curious and confident, I like to keep tabs on Foster Meowmy by following her from room to room. I brighten her day by exchanging nose kisses and chirping while I play.

I inherited my sweet demeanor from my feline momma Bonita, who was found in Alief as a pregnant teenager. Fortunately she was rescued in time to deliver my litter of three in the safety of foster care. I’ve been handled by Foster Meowmy since I was one day old, which explains why I’m so very sociable and trusting with every hooman I meet. I’m so easy-going that even nail clipping is a breeze with me.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. I love to climb and explore, so my forever home needs to be a place where I have the freedom to adventure and romp around. It would be great if my new home has kids, dogs, and other cats, as long as the four-legged critters and I are slowly introduced. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

Peppa #loves-to-be-held

WONDERFUL LAP KITTY AND BED BUDDY

DOB 7/16/22

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Peppa, a sweet, loving, easy-going tuxedo gal who has an adorable black button nose. Foster Meowmy testifies that I am a wonderful lap kitty and bed buddy. When I want Meowmy to pick me up, I gently tap my paw on her leg as if to say, “Here I am! Take me into your arms and love me.”

Foster Meowmy found me as a 6-week-old orphan on the premises of a security company in northwest Houston and brought me home. I get along great with the other resident kitties as well as the cat-friendly dogs here. I’m a playful gal who loves to chase the red laser dot that Foster Meowmy bounces around the room.

However, scurrying after the frisky red dot has not always been a piece of cake for me. Out of the clear blue sky, I was challenged with mobility issues starting about a week after my spay surgery. Foster Meowmy was horrified to see me suddenly not be able to support the weight in my back legs, although that didn’t stop me from "walking on my elbows" the best I could, which was nevertheless at quite a fast clip. “My goodness,” heartbroken Foster Meowmy thought, “Peppa is just a 5-month-old kitten!”

For three months, Foster Meowmy did her due diligence and took me to several vets, but it wasn’t until she finally took me to a pain-management vet specialist in The Woodlands that she found someone who could treat me successfully and non-surgically. He diagnosed inflammation in both of my rear elbow joints from either a congenital or traumatic injury.

God bless him because he relieved my pain and inflammation with cortisone and joint lubricant injections in both my back legs and started me on a regimen of monthly Adequan injections. It wasn’t long before – voila - I was playing and running around as if nothing had ever been wrong! What a miracle, thanks to HOPE’s Emergency Medical fund, collected from sales of the annual HOPE cat calendar!

The good news is that with long-term arthritic management, I should be able to live a basically normal life. My only ongoing treatment is for Foster Meowmy to give me monthly Adequan injections. So, although I’m considered a “special-needs” kitty, my chronic mobility problems have responded splendidly to injections and are easily controlled. Aren’t you happy that I need no daily PILLS???

I hope that my technically being a special-needs kitty has not quashed your interest in having me plop myself in your lap or snuggle next to you in bed. I’d do fine as either a solo kitty or companion to your resident dog or cat. Also consider adopting me with one of my feline playmates with whom I’m already bonded. Two is better than one, and we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

VERY SWEET & LOVES TO BE PETTED

DOB 6/23/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Pooh, and I’m a very sweet, friendly, affectionate orange tabby fella who loves for Foster Meowmy to coo over me while she gently strokes me.

Momma Nala, Simba, Chase, Curry, Dolly, Lena, and I have all thrived in our foster home.

Puddles' striking grey stripes and soulful eyes tell a tale of resilience, and he's looking for a calm and understanding home where he can feel safe and loved. If you're searching for a quiet, endearing companion who just needs a little extra time to trust, Puddles is the perfect match.

Purscilla #sister-of-Catalina

You are here:
SWEET-VOICED CUDDLER

DOB 4/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Purscilla, an adorable, snuggly, playful white little girl with golden eyes. I love to spend quality time with my hoomans, whether it’s while we’re binging on Neflix and Animal Planet, sleeping together, or while I’m watching their computer work. I tend to be quiet and not meow a lot, but when I do, it’s the sweetest little “mew” you’ve ever heard.

My favorite toys are Foster Meowmy’s hair bands. I can spend hours playing soccer with them as I scamper all around the room. I can’t seem to get enough of them, so I’m hoping that Foster Meowmy will spoil me and buy me my very own package.

My feral momma Clawdia chose to birth my sister Catalina and me in the safety of the patio of an apartment unit that had been vacant for a long time. Was it a mere coincidence that our future Foster Meowmy moved in one or two days later? She’s quite a cat advocate, so thankfully she scooped up newborn Catalina and me as well as trapped Momma in order to bring us all inside to safety.

If you’re looking for a beautiful pure white kitty who loves to cuddle, I’m the gal for you! I hope that my being a “special-needs” kitty will not scare you off; in fact, perhaps you’re one of those benevolent souls who actually seeks out a "special" kitty whom others might pass over. All the more reason for me to love you!

Although we’re available separately, Catalina and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. Two’s more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me [us] today!

UNUSUAL MARKINGS

DOB 10/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Reeces who got my name because I’m all the colors of a Reeces Peanut Butter cup. I’m an exotic-looking tortoiseshell kitty with stunningly unique markings! My beauty is matched by my sweet personality – I’m friendly, gentle, easygoing, and always ready to share a calm moment by your side. I like to cuddle with Foster Meowmy at bedtime, and for sure I’ll jump on the bed the next morning to remind her that it’s breakfast time. Although I’m usually a quiet gal, I can be pretty chatty at other times.

I birthed my twin #Beryl-baby girls, Darla and Zoey, during the midst of the hurricane. A nice lady had been feeding me on the front porch of her apartment. Lo and behold, the next thing she knew -- there was a litter of kittens on her front porch. She cared for us all but left us outside. Month-old kittens can be curious, and Darla and Zoey climbed up into the motor of a neighbor’s car. The neighbor didn’t realize this until she started driving and then heard meowing. Fortunately she stopped and discovered them under the hood.

The nice lady realized that we all needed to be safe inside, so she contacted her cat lady friend who’s a HOPE volunteer. Fortunately Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate to foster my little family. Foster life surely beats the hardscrabble outdoor life of a stray. However, sometimes I’ve gotten a little perturbed and had to defend my girls when the resident young male cat plays a little too rough with them.

Now that I’ve retired from doting motherhood, I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be you? My soft demeanor and affectionate nature make me the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loving, serene kitty who's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give -- all I need is YOU!

Riley #loves-being-loved

You are here:
BUNNY-SOFT FUR AND COPPER-PENNY EYES

DOB: 5/11/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Riley, a sweet, loving, and playful “bicolor” fella who loves being loved on. Bicolor means that I’m half white with cream tabby on my head, back, and tail. I have fur that’s soft as a bunny’s and big golden-globe eyes.

Foster Meowmy is a star in my book because she gently strokes and coos over me when I snuggle in her lap. I just luxuriate when she lavishes me with attention! Plus we have fun when she waves the feather wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room for me to chase. I’m quite the soccer striker who entertains myself quite nicely by batting sparkly crinkle balls and furry mice around the room.

When I was about four months old, I was spotted meandering around the feeding station of a colony of community cats across from an elementary school. I was all alone -- an orphan with no momma or siblings in sight. Although I was friendly and playful, I wouldn’t allow anyone to come close to me. So a HOPE volunteer came to my rescue, trapped me, and turned me over to the care of my Foster Meowmy.

When I first arrived in my foster home, I was very tame but shy, which indicates that maybe I'd previoulsy been someone's pet. However, once I settled in and realized that my foster home was bursting with amenities, I warmed up to Foster Meowmy pretty quickly. I heard her tell someone, "Riley just needed to be loved up." Recently she’s allowed me to explore the house outside my foster room. There I encountered her resident kitties, and I’ve discovered that they can be great friends and playmates.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, cuddly companion for yourself, your family, or perhaps another kitty too, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me so you can touch my plush bunny fur and gaze into my big copper-penny eyes. It’ll be hard to resist not taking me home with you because I’m sure to steal your heart.

Rock #dumpster-diva

You are here:
LOVES ALL AGES OF HOOMANS

DOB 4/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Rock, a very sweet, friendly, outgoing, affectionate, and playful “bicolor” gal who loves to be around my foster pawrents as well as the resident big dog. “Bicolor” means that I’m mostly white with dark gray on my head, back, and tail. As my photo testifies, I love to climb on a big uphostered chair and look adorable as I hug its back. I also love playing soccer with anything that rolls – my jingle-bell plastic balls, paper wads, or even tennis balls.

A San Marcos Good Samaritan noticed me when I was about five weeks old as I wandered around the apartment dumpster and tried to find food. Of course he fell in love with me and, because my momma and siblings were nowhere in sight, he brought me inside to safety. Since there were a lot of gray rocks near the dumpster, he christened me Rock, even though I’m a sweet and dainty female. He reluctantly admitted that he shouldn’t keep me, so his mom in Houston became my foster meowmy and promised to find me a fantastic family who’ll love me just as much as he did.

Now I’m all ready to find my forever home. Although I’m pretty overwhelmed at the noise and chaos during adoption events, once I’m back home where I feel comfy, I’m my typical easy-to-approach, playful, and congenial self. Although I haven’t been around cats in my foster home, I’ve done great with the big dog and all ages of hoomans – adults and kids -- in my foster home.

If you’re looking for a beautifully marked kitty who loves people and giant dogs, I’m the gal for you! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU! Arrange to meet me today!

SWEET BUT SPICEY

DOB 8/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Sassy, a sweet yet feisty, very energetic and very playful tortoiseshell gal. I’m well named because, as the nursery rhyme goes, “little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice.” I’m a bit of a Marco Polo explorer as an outlet for my curiosity.

I’m a little ball of energy, so I’m quite the soccer striker with jingle-bell balls and catnip mice. My favorite part of the day is playing interactively with my foster family when they dangle the wand toy over my head or snake it around the room. I love to tumble and pounce, chase and wrestle with my siblings Johnny and Mavis.

Since Momma was frantic for our safety, instinct told her to bring us to the shopping center to ask for help. Sure enough, a Good Samaritan rescued us and eventually got us to our foster home.

Momma Nala, Pooh, Chase, Curry, Dolly, Lena, and I have all thrived in our foster home. We kits tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. True confessions: I’m “all-boy” and play pretty rough. I’m also more independent than my siblings and enjoy exploring around my foster home.

LOVES THE FEATHERED WAND TOY

DOB 6/20/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Sky, a sweet, quiet, and playful flame-point Snowshoe/Siamese mix fella with mesmerizing baby-blue eyes.

Just like Blue, once I felt safe and secure, my affectionate nature starting shining through. Foster Meowmy predicts that I’ll make someone a wonderful companion if I’m given time to feel comfy in my new “digs.” She has discovered that Churro squeezable treats were a real incentive for me to make friends with her.

I’m a frisky boy who loves interactive play with Foster Meowmy when she waves the wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room. And Asher, Abby, Ava, and I have a wonderful time tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling until we’re so exhausted that we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Hey there, everyone! I'm Snow, a sweet, cuddly, and playful green-eyed “bicolor” gal, which means that I’m mostly white with gray tabby on my face, back, and tail. I love to snuggle with Foster Meowmy, but I also cherish time spent with all my hooman friends, especially when they play interactively with me or give me treats. Sometimes I’m a brave adventurer when I explore all the nooks and crannies in my foster home.

Foster Meowmy rescued the #spunky-four (a.k.a.me and my three siblings Tom, Luna, and Kisa) as orphans in her neighborhood. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

I believe in magic, the magic of love and companionship. I'm ready to sprinkle that magic into your life. Adopt me, and together we'll write our own magical story. Spaghetti #bestie-of-Tater-Tot

You are here:
VOLUNTEER FAVORITE

DOB 3/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Spaghetti, and I’m a super-sweet, friendly, energetic, and playful gray tabby bicolor fella. “Bicolor” means that I’m mostly white with gray tabby on my head, back, and tail. I’m an amiable guy who’s a volunteer favorite. When Foster Meowmy enters the foster room, I rush to meet her because I know she’ll give me my Churu treat. I enjoy interactive play with her when she waves the flying turkey-feather wand toy over my head.

As a two-month-old kitten, I was dropped over the fence at a Missouri City business, and the employees asked HOPE to help me find my forever home. I was adopted at my first adoption event by a nice family who was looking for a companion for their resident cat. I felt like I was in heaven because I slept every night with their 10 year-old son.

With my typical kitten energy, I wanted to play with the resident cat like I did with the other foster kittens, but unfortunately, she wanted no part of it. To put it bluntly, the cat they adopted me to play with didn’t want to play. So I was devastated when the family returned me for being more active than they had in mind. (What do you expect when you adopt a kitten, for Pete’s sake?)

Fortunately I returned to my foster home to rejoin the younger male kittens who wanted to play with me as much I wanted to. So we tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle to our hearts’ content, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse for a quick cat nap. I particularly like hiding in the kitty tunnel with my look-alike foster brother Tater Tot.

Now that my hurt feelings are forgotten, I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me today! If you’re considering adopting a pair of kittens, let me suggest my younger foster playmate Tater Tot. Since there’s two months difference in our ages, we don’t look much like brothers now, but as we mature, we’ll fool people about being identical twins since we’re both handsome grey tabby bicolor dudes. Together we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Spotty #sister-of-Juniper

BEAM ME UP, SPOTTY!

DOB 5/4/23

Hi there! I’m Spotty, a curious, cute, and crafty tortoiseshell “ninja” with a striking orange nose-blaze whose name was inspired by the Star Trek catchphrase “Beam me up, Spotty.” I’m not as shy as I was initially, and I’ve come to just love cuddling with Foster Meowmy. I’m like the Chatty Cathy doll because I have no trouble chirping and trilling for everyone.

Foster Meowmy found Momma and my #spring-shower-litter in her yard one stormy spring day. My brother Ollie as well as my sisters, Minnie, Juniper, and Angel, and I were just a few weeks old, so thank heavens Meowmy brought us safely inside to join the friendly resident cats. My foster home is calm and quiet without kids, but I have quite a rambunctious streak in me, so I’m open to a home with kids. I fit in well with the other kitties, but I'm apprehensive about the elderly Maltipoo.

Now I’m ready to find the forever home, and if you’re looking for a shy but chatty ninja, I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. Please consider adopting me with Juniper so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

LOOKS LIKE A PENGUIN TURNED GO-GO DANCER

DOB 5/3/19

Hey there everyone! I’m Squeeken, a sweet, talkative, outgoing, and beautiful tuxedo gal with tall white boots like a go-go dancer and a large white vest and black face like a penguin. I’m really quite uniquely marked. I got my name because I squeak when I meow.

I’m very sociable with hoomans as well as other kitties, and I especially like to “mother” the orphaned foster kittens so that they can learn all their manners that their own momma would’ve taught them if she’d been around. I can be very high-energy when I’m playing with my crinkle balls, catnip mice, as well as the young kittens. I’m also smart enough to open the toy drawer and remove my fuzzy balls so I can play soccer on-demand.

Foster Meowmy found me as a friendly adult stray kitty in her neighborhood and was sweet enough to rescue me and bring me home to foster. Now I’m ready to find my forever home. If you’re looking for an affectionate and easy-going feline addition to your [multiple-cat] home, I’m the beauty for you! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave paw prints all over your heart.

BEAUTIFUL GREEN "OLIVE" EYES

DOB 4/2/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Squeekers, and I’m a rather quiet and shy tortie gal with green "olive" eyes who was living very happily with my “bestie” Felix in a home where we were really cherished. I was very playful and like to jump. Unfortunately our hooman had some financial setbacks in this inflationary economy. When she learned that she was going to be evicted, Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and offered to foster her darlings [us] until HOPE could find us a wonderful new home. Foster Meowmy is insisting that Felix and I be adopted together as a bonded pair in an effort to mitigate the upheaval we’ve already experienced.

My world has been turned upside down since we moved into our foster home. I spend a lot of time hiding and come out to cuddle with Foster Meowmy and to hang out with Felix. I’m a little intimidated by the other cats in my foster home, and I want to make sure that they won’t chase me or be aggressive with me.

If you’ve got a medium to quiet home, Felix and I are the pair for you. Arrange to meet us today!

SUNNY DISPOSITION

DOB 8/2/24

Hey everyone! I’m Sunny, a very social, gentle, and affectionate red tabby fella who loves to cuddle with my foster meowmy. My siblings, Sunshine and Heidi, and I were rescued from an apartment complex where we were wandering around as strays with no momma in sight. Thank heavens the Good Samaritan who found us reached out to HOPE to find us our forever home.

Some of the older resident kitties in my foster home have served as surrogate aunts and uncles who have taught me a lot of the manners that my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. I love to play soccer with balls and catnip mice as well as chase the feather wand toy. I get along great with the other foster kittens, but I especially enjoy cavorting with Sunshine and Heidi. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

If you’re looking for a friendly and loving ginger tabby boy, I’m the dude for you! Arrange to meet me today! Although we’re available separately, consider adopting me with one of the #tres-amigos. Two’s more fun than one, and we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we had a built-in playmate and snuggle buddy while you’re at work or on vacation.

Sweetie Pie #purrs-sweet-nothings

You are here:
ENAMORS ALL HOOMANS

DOB 2/24/15

Hey there, everyone! My name is Sweetie Pie, and you can imagine how I got my moniker: I’m a sweet, quiet, loving “torbie” gal with big green eyes. “Torbie” means that I’m a brown tabby with random patches of orange that look like I’ve gotten sprinkled with caramel in a candy factory.

My favorite spot is on Foster Meowmy’s lap because I luxuriate when she gently strokes my ears, cheeks, and chin. When she coos over how darling I am, I turn on my rumbling purr motor. At first we exchanged lengthy forehead-to-forehead nudging, but once I started trusting her even more, we started rubbing our noses, i.e. we Eskimo kissed. Surprisingly, being held brings me great joy, and when I was at the vet recently, I hugged one of the vet techs and purred sweet nothings in her ear when she snuggled me to her chest.

I’m a playful girl who enjoys carrying tiny stuffed animals around, dropping them by my food bowl, and then carrying them back to my bed so I can snuggle with them. My favorite interactive play with Foster Meowmy is when she makes my plush toys become puppets. In my pensive moments, I like to hang out in my kitty cubbyhole and look out the window as the world walks, scampers, or flies by. I’m fine alone while Foster Meowmy’s at work as long as she greets me by gently touching my head before my meals. Believe it or not, my favorite treat is malt-flavored kitty toothpaste.

I had been an outdoor stray who hung out on three porches at Foster Meowmy’s apartment complex for a few years. Two neutered male kitties protected me from other unfriendly cats at the community feeding station. The neighbors called me “Scaredy Cat” because I ran away when anyone got too close. Everyone assumed that I was an unsocialized feral cat, but when a HOPE volunteer trapped me, the vet discovered that I was already spayed; so my ear was notched, and I was released back outside.

But then I experienced a blessing in disguise: I injured my leg around Thanksgiving. So Foster Meowmy brought me inside to recover (it's now 100%) and ended up keeping me inside because of the freezing winter weather. Well, I made a miraculous transformation once I was inside and proved that I had probably been someone’s pet in the past who unfortunately was abandoned or had gotten lost. It took being safely inside again for my sweet disposition to shine and to enamor all my hoomans, including the vet staff!

I’m ready to find my forever home now! Foster Meowmy thinks I’d be perfect for anyone who’s looking for a quiet lap-companion to binge on Animal Planet or Netflix with them. This could be retirees, adults, or even well-behaved children. I need to be an only pet-child because I’m scared of dogs and cats from my hardscrabble days of fending for myself. Arrange to meet me today! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a mature kitty who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories.

"MOST WONDERFUL OF KITTENS"

DOB 4/7/22

Howdy everyone! I’m Tango, a loving and mellow yet funny and lively red tabby fella with a warm personality and a great sense of humor. Foster Meowmy describes me as “the most wonderful of kittens who deserves an A+ home.”

Next to a pile of debris in the Lindale area, I was found in the street as an orphan with no momma in sight. I fit right into my foster home along with several other rescued kittens who were my same age. I have so much fun playing with my surrogate siblings. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted from all the fun, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

The three resident cats acted as my surrogate aunts and uncles who taught me everything my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. I also get along great with the two big dogs in my foster home, so there are a lot of households where I would fit like a glove.

Arrange to meet me today! You'll fall in love with me the second you meet me. I'm all ready to settle into my A+ new home! Although we’re available separately, my foster mate Little Bobbie and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we were adopted together. I’d be happy to give you an extra kiss because we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Tater Tot #bestie-of-Spaghetti

ALL BOY - SNIPS AND SNAILS AND PUPPY-DOGS' TAILS

DOB 4/29/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Tater Tot, a sweet, handsome, playful bicolor silver Classic tabby fella. "Silver Classic tabby" means that I have bold black marble swirls on my sides instead of the usual mackerel tabby stripes. "Bicolor" means that I’m mostly white with silver tabby on my head, back, and tail. I adore running through cat tunnels as well as swatting at the wand toys that Foster Meowmy waves over my head.

When I was about seven weeks old, I followed my feral momma down a driveway to my future foster meowmy’s community-cat feeding station because we were both hungry. While Momma got TNR’d, I was scooped up and brought inside since I was young enough to be socialized to hoomans. Boy howdy! I’m glad that I don’t have to live paw-to-mouth anymore, and I really appreciate the brimming food and water bowls and indoor climate control.

I have a ball tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with my foster mates, Meatball and Matcha, who are close enough in age to me to be my surrogate siblings. I also enjoy hiding in the kitty tunnel with my look-alike foster brother Spaghetti. I’m all boy and was jumping on them a few hours after my neuter surgery. I had been a little shy initially with hoomans, so it's helped that my foster mates showed me that hoomans can be trusted.

Now I’m ready to be adopted, so please arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. If you’re considering adopting a pair of kittens, let me suggest my older foster playmate Spaghetti. Since there’s two months difference in our ages, we don’t look much like brothers now, but as we mature, we’ll probably fool people about being identical twins since we’re both handsome grey tabby bicolor dudes. Together we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

SWEET AND DOCILE

DOB 8/9/23

Oh woe is me . . . I'm no longer a small, highly desirable kitten . . . one that people fawn over and seek out. I was adopted in March and returned three months later because my new owner didn't expect cats to have fur that might shed. Not that I shed much, but she had some highly unusual expectations.

I'm calm, cuddly and playful. I love attention from humans. In fact, I have been known to jump on the cat tree to get someone's attention and then allow them to kiss me on my nose. Nose kisses or crunchy treats just make my day!

Do you need a super-special, docile kitty to share your home with? My name is spelled T-A-Y-L-O-R. Come to see me swiftly.

EVEN THE VACUUM DOESN'T SCARE HIM

DOB 6/7/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m TC, and I’m a sweet, very loving, and easy-going Bombay mix kitten who loves to sleep with my foster meowmy. In fact, Bombay mix kitties are often called Velcro cats because we like to stick so close to our special hooman. I’m so laid-back that I actually like the vacuum – the first of Foster Meowmy’s many kitties to distinguish himself in that way!

Early one morning a Good Samaritan found me as an orphan with no momma or siblings in sight. I was screaming my head off at the corner of Pinemont and TC Jester (hence my name). Scared that I’d get run over by a car in the rush-hour traffic, she scooped me up and eventually got me into the arms of my sweet foster meowmy.

I get along great with all of her resident adult kitties and little dogs in my foster home, and they’ve actually become like surrogate aunts and uncles who’ve helped me learn everything that my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with several of the foster kittens who are a few months older than I am. So I even have surrogate siblings!

Now I’m ready to forge out and find my forever home! Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me today, and I promise not to disappoint you in my cuddling abilities. My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

SNUGGLY SIESTA KING

DOB 4/15/23

If you think the actor Tom Sandoval looks like a hunk dressed in black, you should see me! Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Tom Sandoval’s namesake, an affectionate, saucy, friendly black DSH/Bombay mix kitten with a sleek, shiny coat. I can be quite the snuggly Siesta King who loves to curl up in bed with either Foster Meowmy or my sister Maddox, with whom I'm very bonded. I soak up any attention that Foster Meowmy gives me, especially when she’s dispensing Temptation treats.

I’m a playful guy who loves to play soccer with toy mice as well as engage with iPad games. And of course I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my three sisters, Maddox, Lala, and Katie. I can also entertain myself by scaling the cat tower and playing with its dangling toys.

When my Foster Meowmy was walking on her driveway one day, she spotted my feral momma and my litter of four under the house of her next door neighbor. She trapped, spayed, and released Momma but brought us kittens inside to socialize us. We fit in beautifully with her other pets, and now that we're ready to be adopted, she promises to find us all fantastic homes.

If you’re looking for a handsome, gentle, easy-going fella who gets along with other cats and small dogs, arrange to meet me! Consider adopting me with one of my sisters so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

ALWAYS READY TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS

DOB 6/20/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Tommy, a lively, friendly, playful, and curious gray-and-white tuxedo fella who looks just like my namesake Tom, the scheming cat in the Tom and Jerry cartoon series. I’m an outgoing Mr. Congeniality who’s always ready to make new friends. I’m also like Marco Polo because I bravely explore new surroundings and lead the way for the rest of the #after-five-jetset. We got that name because the five in my litter are all beautifully and elegantly dressed in “after-five” [tuxedo] attire.

My siblings and I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. Now I’m ready to find my forever home, so I hope you’ll arrange to meet me so that my playful antics and lively spirit will keep you smiling. I promise that my Tom-and-Jerry personality and good looks are the perfect match for you! Toothless #more-to-hug

You are here:
LOOKS LIKE A BOUNCER AT A SPEAK-EASY

DOB 7/18/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Toothless, and I got my name because my personality is akin to that of Toothless, the king of the dragons in the animated film series “How to Train your Dragon.” Yes, I have to admit that I’m also missing my front teeth, but more on that later. I’m a sweet, friendly, and loving yet powerful-looking 18-pound brown tabby fella with big olive-green eyes. I absolutely love cuddling as well as hanging out with hoomans of all ages, which includes kids. My love language is tiny love-bites, which Foster Meowmy thinks are extra cute since they’re all gums and no teeth.

I once had a home, which explains why I approached Foster Meowmy as a friendly stray in a school parking lot. I had been injured very badly and trusted her enough to solicit her help, and thank heavens she came through like a champ. I had probably been mauled by a dog or coyote because I had large gashes on my chest and legs as well as a gigantic patch of skin on my shoulder that had been ripped off down to the muscle. What do you expect – I had no front teeth to defend myself! It’s absolutely amazing that I survived as a toothless outdoor kitty, but I did!

Anyway, I allowed her to pick me up, and I purred on her lap the whole way to the vet. The vet was amazed that I weighed 11 pounds even though I was skin and bones. (I keep trying to tell everyone that I’m a gentle giant!) The vet thought that I possibly lost my teeth when I was run over by a car at some point. I was still intact and covered in old scars, so the vet thought that I’d been homeless and fighting other tomcats for a while.

Before I left the vet, I was neutered, vaccinated, and placed on antibiotics. Sure enough, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which I probably contracted from a deep bite wound when another cat attacked me.

Now that my recent battle injuries have healed, I’m looking for the loving, forever home that I truly deserve. I’m terribly afraid of the cat-friendly dog in my foster home. I hiss and growl at the pooch, but fortunately he just ignores me. Nevertheless, I’d probably do best in a new home without dogs (and territorially aggressive cats) to upset my tranquility.

If you’re looking for a gigantic love bug who looks like the bouncer at a speak-easy, I’m the boy for you! Arrange to meet me today!  I promise that I’m a perfect gentleman with immaculate manners, and you’ll surely fall in love with me the minute you meet me. My marshmallow heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

LOVES THE FEATHER WAND TOY AND FREEZE-DRIED TREATS

DOB 7/29/22

Hey there, everyone! I'm Tori, a sweet, gentle, affectionate, easygoing tortoiseshell gal who gives the best nose-to-nose kisses that you could ever experience. I love to play interactively with Foster Meowmy as she waves the feather wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room. Then again, I’m a calm, chill girl who likes to lay in my cozy cat bed by the window and watch the wildlife fly and scamper by.

Future Foster Meowmy had been feeding a male kitty for a couple of months when he brought my three-month old daughter Kittie and me to the colony feeding station. Thinking that this male kitty was my husband, Foster Meowmy got us both spayed right away. After we recuperated from surgery, she released Kittie and me outside. However, when another cat started attacking Kittie, Foster Meowmy brought us both inside to safety.  I initially begged to go back outside, but because of the danger of the aggressive outdoor cat, Foster Meowmy stuck to her guns and insisted that I stay inside.

I eventually adapted well to indoor living and certainly enjoy spending peaceful, quality time with Kittie as well as Foster Meowmy. I love the indoor amenities of brimming food/water bowls, climate control, protection from predators – not to mention yummy freeze-dried chicken treats. Foster Meowmy tried to network among her family and friends to find us our forever homes, but to no avail. So now she's hoping that HOPE will give us the public exposure we need to be adopted into loving families.

If you have a penchant for tortoiseshell kitties and want a serene and loving dispenser of Eskimo kisses, I’m the gal for you! Although we're available separately, Kittie and I think it'd be the cat's meow if we could be adopted together. Two's more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give - all I need is YOU!

HESITATES BEFORE HE JUMPS INTO THE MELEE

DOB 6/20/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Tyson, a shy but curious and playful “bicolor” fella who’s mostly white with black on my head, back, and tail. I’m one of the #after-five-jetset, who got that name because the five in my litter are all beautifully and elegantly dressed in “after-five” attire. (Many of my siblings are “tuxedos.”) I usually hang back and check everything out from a distance before I jump into the melee of fun that my siblings have created. They usually succeed in bringing out my rambunctious spirit when we tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home, so I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! Since my personality shines best when I’m frolicking with my siblings, I hope that you’ll consider adopting me with one of the #after-five-jetset so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

MORE TO HUG

DOB 5/1/21

Hey there, everyone! I’m Valentino, a sweet, easygoing, extra-large harlequin cat. “Harlequin” means that I’m mostly white with a few large orange-tabby patches on my head and back. I got my name because, like the famous 1920’s actor, “the Latin Lover” Rudy Valentino, I’m a real sex symbol for the ladies – both 2-legged and 4-legged.

I’ve taken quite a shine to my Foster Meowmy, and vice versa, because she shares her lap with me. I love it when she scratches my chin, cheeks, and ears, and we enjoy hanging out together. This could include binging on Animal Planet and Netflix or cuddling in her arms. I may be extra large, but that just means that I’ve got more for her to hug. Thanks to Foster Meowmy's discipline, I'm making progress as I've already trimmed down two pounds to weigh in at 17 1/2 pounds!

I guess you’re wondering why a handsome gentle giant like me needs a new home. Well, my former caretaker loaded me up in my carrier and abandoned me at the Arthur Storey Park off the Beltway 8. I guess the idea was that someone would feel sorry for me without food and water and take me in. Fortunately -- you guessed it -- a Good Samaritan rescued me and contacted HOPE. Thank heavens my foster meowmy stepped up to the plate, and now I’ve got all the food, water, and TLC imaginable.

Although I’m happy in my foster home and get along great with the resident kitties, I know what’s best for me is to have a forever home of my very own. Could that be with you? Arrange to meet my sweet self, but be prepared for me to leave my big paw prints all over your heart. I have so much love to give -- all I need is YOU! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting an adult cat like me who’s long past the mayhem of kittenhood. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories.

Winifred #Hocus-Pocus-crew

You are here:
VELCRO LAP CAT

DOB 8/28/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Winifred, a really affectionate, friendly, cuddly, and petite Bombay mix gal who was named after the witch Winifred Sanderson in Disney’s Hocus Pocus movie. With our shiny black patent-leater coats, Bombay mixes are often called “Velcro cats” because we like to stick close to our hoomans, and I’m no exception. My favorite spot to cat nap is snuggled right next to Foster Meowmy’s thigh. I crave the individual attention that she lavishes on me when she coos sweet nothings in my ear and gently strokes me.

I was a sweet, friendly five-month-old stray who lived at a trailer park when I had my first litter. Five months later at ten months old, I was pregnant again with my second litter. A nice lady who lived in a trailer park spotted me and brought me inside her trailer to protect me from the pit bulldogs who were running loose outside. Sure enough, I birthed the four #Hocus-Pocus kittens in the trailer, but it was too many cats in a small space with the resident cats who already lived there. The nice lady became overwhelmed and considered putting us all outside. Fortunately, her daughter reached out to a work colleague, who agreed to take us into her home.

My kits, Sarah, Mary, Billy, and Binx, and I have all thrived in foster care. Now that I’ve nurtured them and taught them all the manners they will need to know, I’ve permanently retired as their doting momma. (Thank you, Foster Meowmy that I can now have a life of my own and not one forever dedicated to being the best momma ever.) Foster Meowmy’s two-year-old son makes me nervous, so I steer clear of him, and after living outside with trailer-park pit bulldogs, I cautiously hiss at the resident dogs on the other side of the foster-room door. Although I haven’t been introduced to the resident cats, with proper introductions, I would probably do okay with friendly, non-aggressive dogs and cats.

Now I’m ready to find a lovely home where I can be the center of attention for a change. If you’re looking for a low-key, gentle, cuddly lap cat who loves people, I’m your gal! Arrange to meet me today! My heart has soooooooo much love to give – all I need is YOU and your lap!

Zephyr #graffiti-boy

You are here:
STREET URCHIN TO PAMPERED PET

DOB 4/28/23

Have you ever seen a kitten whose body looks like a canvas that a graffiti artist has started splashing with tiny spots of black paint? Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Zephyr, a sweet and playful fella who’s pure white except for my black toupee and just a few pale smudges of gray on my shoulders.

My brothers, Banksy and Donti, and I are fascinated by everything in the bathroom.

I’m particularly bonded to Donti. We’re always up to some kind of kitten business – exploring, menacing each other, wrestling with each other.

EXCELLENT SOCCER STRIKER WITH TOY MICE & POM-POM BALLS

DOB 3/8/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Zoe, a gentle, affectionate, easygoing, and friendly Russian Blue mix gal with big golden-globe eyes. I’m sweet and playful, although I can be shy as it takes sensitive Russian Blue mixes longer than most cats to adjust to their new environment and new people. You see, I showed up as a friendly stray in my future foster meowmy’s yard, and after befriending me with yummy food, she eventually coaxed me inside. That’s when she realized that I was pregnant, and I delivered my litter of five kits a month later. Thank heavens my kits are now weaned, and I’m now permanently retired from being a doting momma.

I’m enjoying all the luxuries of indoor life – brimming food and water bowls as well as climate control and safety from predators. I pretend that I only tolerate Foster Meowmy’s hugs, kisses, coos, and cuddles, but I actually appreciate her affection and attention after living paw-to-mouth for so long. I also enjoy playing soccer with catnip mice and pom-pom balls, and I’m so enthusiastic with my excellent scratching-post-manners that I make the cardboard scratcher into a toy! Scaling the cat tree for a bird’s-eye-view of activity below is my favorite pastime. You see, I can get a little hissy with the resident cats, and I like the psychic distance that the height of the cat tree affords.

If you’re looking for a chatty, well-behaved, and elegant feline who’s gentle, clean, and loyal, I’m the Russian Blue mix gal for you! By the way, the Russian Blue mix is one of the most intelligent cats on the planet! So arrange to meet me today! Let’s begin writing a new chapter in our lives together!

Zoey #Beryl-baby

EXCEPTIONAL PERSONALITY

DOB 7/6/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Zoey, a friendly, affectionate, and cuddly Bombay mix gal who is just brimming with cleverness and personality. Bombay mixes are often called Velcro kitties because we like to stick so close to our people. I for one like to lounge close to Foster Meowmy while she's working or watching TV just in case she wants to reach over and pet me. She calls me an “exceptional” kitten because I’m super playful with my twin sister Darla and momma Reeces yet at the same time I’m very loving, sociable, and easygoing with hoomans.

Darla and I are known as the #Beryl-babies because our momma Reeces birthed us during the midst of the hurricane. A nice lady had been feeding Reeces on her apartment's front porch. Fortunately she stopped and discovered Darla and me under the hood. The nice lady realized that we needed to be safe inside, so she contacted her cat lady friend who’s a HOPE  volunteer. Fortunately Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate to foster my little family.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be you? Consider adopting me with my bonded-sister Darla. Although we’re available separately, two’s more fun than one. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we had a built-in playmate and cuddle buddy while you’re at work or on vacation.
