(Mr.) Noel

You are here:
FREINDLY, AFFECTIONATE, PLAYFUL, LOVING

DOB 7/12/21

I'm (Mr.) Noel, just the perfect friend! I'm a very friendly, easygoing, and active spotted orange tabby. My foster mom calls me her favorite "lap kitten" and her "bed buddy" because I love to snuggle. I was rescued as a baby and bottle-fed by my human, so I love being carried around.  I live with cats and dogs, so I get along well with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.

Why am I a "special needs" kitty? I was recently diagnosed with diabetes insipidus. It is easily controlled with daily eyedrops, but I will need an experienced owner who can give me my drops every day, and monitor my drinking and...um...output in case dosage needs to be adjusted by the vet.

HOPE ID 21-0814-A050

If you are interested in (Mr.) Noel and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to https://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net, and a volunteer will get back to you.

Alex

You are here:
PLAYFUL TUXIE

DOB 9/1/21

Alex loves to play with toys and hang out with other cats. He would probably do best in a house with another cat sibling. He will chase a laser toy around for as long as you are willing to play. He loves the temptations catnip treats and will come eat them out of your hand. He is a little unsure about being held at first, but once you catch him and get him settled in your lap, he starts purring pretty quickly.

Alexander

You are here:
NAUGHTY COMEDIAN

DOB 8/26/21

Well look at me! I am a carbon copy of my mommy Tinsley, a medium-haired gray tabby with white tuxedo markings. Don't you love my four white mittens?

I’m one of Tinsley's 8(!) babies (You can see our story and watch us grow on Tiktok @tenblackcats.) I’m one of the “naughty” ones.  I got 2 scoops of coal for Christmas, and I’m thrilled about it. I’m very mischievous! I just want to see what I can get away with; it’s so much fun!  I’m a ball of curiosity.

I like to act up, and I am so much fun I can hardly stand it.  Always the comedian, I love to show off!  Attacking brothers and sisters – Check; Grabbing mom by the back of her leg – Check; Irritating my cat mommy – Check; Climbing in places I don’t belong – Check; Knocking stuff off the table – Check!

My work is almost done here, so I’m looking for a new home…a furever one!  If you are a law-and-order type, move along…nothing to see here. But if you can appreciate a naughty little cat who is a barrel of fun, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Anabelle #ticked-tabby

You are here:
LOVES TO BE HELD AND GET BELLY RUBS

DOB 11/1/21

Hello everyone! I’m Anabelle, a very sweet, gentle, calm, and loving young brown ticked tabby with big gold eyes, large ears, and a cute dappled tummy. I may have plain brown clothes on the outside, but I’m wrapped in royal clothes on the inside. That’s because my serene, regal heart is so responsive to my Foster Meowmy and her attentions.

The minute she sits down next to me, I start up my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot. After I luxuriate as she scratches my ears and chin, I roll onto my back to invite some belly rubs. Then I may crawl up into her lap for a siesta as she watches TV.

One of the reasons that I’m so friendly with my foster meowmy is because I’m grateful for her rescuing me. I was trying to shade myself under a car from the scorching summer heat and didn't resisit when she (a total stranger) put me in a carrier. I’m glad she did because it didn’t take me long to adjust to my "cool" new environment!

Actually, I’m very sociable with all adults and am one of those rare cats who doesn’t mind being picked up and held. I’m not skittish with or afraid of strangers. I haven’t been around kids, but my foster meowmy predicts that with my calm nature, I’d be very gentle and sweet with well-behaved children. I’d be okay in a quiet, tranquil home with or without other cats and dogs.

If you’re looking for an affectionate furry companion to share the sofa and to help lower your blood pressure as you pet me, I volunteer to be your next kitty!

Artemis

You are here:
SWEETIE WITH THE GIFT OF GAB

DOB 3/11/21

Artemis is a sweet young black cat who likes to talk to get attention. She will come rub on your leg for pets and gets very excited for treats and wet food. She is very playful and sweet as well as independent.

Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability. HOPE actively brings all-black cats into the program because they are five times more likely to be euthanized in a shelter.

YOUNG MAN OF DISTINCTION

DOB 6/1/21

Meet Asher, handsome tabby kitty extraordinaire. Asher was bottle-fed and is a young cat who loves people. He has really unique patterns on his coat and distinctive facial markings. This guy was around dogs in his foster home, so would probably be fine with cat-friendly dogs. Come meet Asher today.

Avery

You are here:
SNUGGLE BUDDY SUPREME

DOB 4/11/22

Hi! I’m Avery, a very sweet, affectionate, friendly, and laid-back gray tabby fella with big, innocent eyes who loves to be held and petted. In fact, I get along great with everybody in my foster home – humans as well as the other foster kitties and the dogs! I haven’t been around kids, but I’d probably do fine with well-behaved children.

My foster buddies and I are very compatible because I’m not aggressive at all. We run, jump, chase each other, and play hide-and-seek, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

I have no problem keeping myself occupied with furry mice and balls that jingle. I’m a regular Marco Polo who enjoys exploring nooks and crannies about the house. I enjoy some alone time taking cat naps in the cat tree as well as basking in a sunbeam on a windowsill to watch the world go by.

You see, even though I mix well with all my fur buddies, I was a solo kitten without littermates whom a Good Samaritan found through a “Free Kitten” poster. Thank heavens he rescued me because who knows if an abuser or a medical lab technician would’ve posed as a friendly adopter! My rescuer couldn’t keep me, but fortunately turned to HOPE to find me a good home.

I love my foster meowmy and the other foster kitties, but I know it would be best if I found a home of my own. Arrange to meet me! I can almost guarantee you that I’d fit like a glove into your home – whether you have other cats, dogs, or children. I’d make a terrific family pet for almost any household.

Bagheera

You are here:
BIG, HANDSOME, VELVETEEN!

DOB 5/26/19

Bagheera is a sweet, social, people-oriented boy. Because he loves to stay close by his foster mom's side, you might call him a Velcro cat.

Bagheera is a black DSH/Bombay mix fella. Who knows exactly what blood courses through his veins without a DNA test, but if you're looking for a cat who "looks like" a Bombay, Bagheera is the boy for you! For sure he's the best breed of all -- RESCUE!!

And did you notice his beautiful sleek, shiny black-velveteen coat and brilliant green eyes? You need to see Bagheera to appreciate him.

Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability.

PLAYFUL AND CONFIDENT

DOB 3/27/22

Hi! I'm Bang, an intelligent, playful, and confident blue mackerel tabby girl with white tuxedo markings. I'm Maxi's identical-twin sister. We are part of the Fantastic 7 litter. We were born outside, but when our foster meowmy rescued us at one month old, we were brought indoors. It would be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with one of my siblings. That way we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Barbie

You are here:
BIG, SASSY, & BEAUTIFUL

DOB 1/1/17

Born New Years Day, Barbie is a sweet-faced gray tabby with white tuxedo markings. Her    favorite things are tunnels, boxes, toy mice, and laps!

Barbie does pretty well with other kitties but prefers to cuddle with her humans! She would do well in a household with a laid-back cat or dog but probably not with small children.

Barbie's an outgoing, spunky, but opinionated little lady.  She prefers to bask in sunbeams or curl up on top of the refrigerator.

Bing #fantastic-7-kitty

You are here:
LOVES TO CUDDLE

DOB 3/27/22

Howdy! I'm Bing, a sweet, playful silver tabby fella with white tuxedo markings. My adorable face is distinguished by a white diamond blaze between my eyes and a red nose. I love my foster meowmy, and my favorite place to be is snuggled next to her thigh as I snooze on my back, belly up. That's precisely where I turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffee pot.

I'm a kitten who loves to interact with people as well as the big dog and other cats in my foster home. Living in a multi-pet household doesn't phase me a bit, so I say "The more [pets] the merrier." Arrange to meet me so I can show you how I can "purr up a storm."

I'm one of the Fantastic 7, along with Mitz, Blu, Bud, Maci, Maxi, and Dash. We were born outside, but when our foster meowmy rescued us at one month old, we were brought indoors. It would be the cat's meow if I could be adoped with one of my siblings. That way we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Bluebell

GETS THE ZOOMIES AFTER PLAYTIME

DOB 3/06/22

Well hello! I’m Bluebell, a beautiful gray kitten gal with a few splashes of cream tabby sprinkled on my coat. You might say it looks like I got taffy spilled on me while I was in a candy factory. I can be shy at first but open up with love, trust, and soft-chew treats.

I love to play with catnip mice and my brothers Spark and Star. I can get the zoomies after a bit of silly playtime. I love napping on a cat tower or basking in a sunbeam on the windowsill. I’d prefer a quieter home with no dogs or children.

Boots (Carly's sister)

You are here:
PURRING SNUGGLE BUNNY

DOB 3/10/22

Hi! I’m Boots, and I’m an affectionate, outgoing, smart, and adventurous black and white tuxedo gal who really enjoys it when my foster meowmy holds me. In fact, when she scratches my head, ear, and chin or rubs my tummy, I turn my purr motor on the “high” setting. I was the runt of my litter, but I'm catching up fast!

I’ll curl up with her while she reads or watches TV, and my eyes will actually follow the action on TV. I like to snuggle with her in bed and “soft-paw” her cheek when it’s time to get up. When she puts me on her chest, I start purring when I hear her heartbeat.

I run to investigate “what’s happening,” where Foster Meowmy’s going, what she’s doing. I follow her around -- eager to “help” her clean out the litter box, sweep the floor, load the dishwasher, make the bed, or fold clothes.

I was rescued with my mama and my sister Carly from under the deck in a nice lady’s back yard. We were hiding from the neighbor’s dog, who managed to kill our sibling. This lady’s husband was allergic to us, so we we’re being fostered by her friend, who’s now our meowmy.

We like the resident orange tabby, who tolerates our hugging/jumping on/boxing with him as well as playing with his tail. Actually, our "big brother" does his share of initiating play with us. We’ve only been around a cat-friendly dog once, and we were a little tentative, so we hid and/or hissed; however, we’re curious and outgoing enough to probably do fine with a well-behaved dog.

Most of all, I love my sister Carly. Foster Meowmy is enchanted when I take her face in both my paws so I can kiss and lick her. We entertain Foster Meowy when we box each other while standing on our hind legs. And of course, we love to tear around the house chasing each other. We exhibit our athletic prowess by running, jumping, leaping, twisting around in mid-air, as well as somersaulting – often when Foster Meowmy flashes a laser light or dangles a wand toy. I'm the "night owl" of the trio and love to explore new places to hide and nap. When we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle for a good, long catnap.

Carly and I are very, very bonded, and we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. That way we could keep each other company when you’re at work or on vacation. If you’re looking for a bold, outgoing, clever, and smart kitten, I’m your gal! Arrange to meet me (and Carly, for that matter!) today!

COOL, CALM, & COLLECTED

DOB 3/27/22

Hi! I'm Bud, a curious and playful brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings who has a sweet, handsome face. I tend to remain cool and calm as I set myself apart from the shenanigans of the rest of my litter, but then I jump in when I decide I want to participate in their rough-housing and chasing. And I can’t resist when my foster meowmy dangles toys over my head or darts the laser around the room.

I'm one of the Fantastic 7 litter along with Bing, Mitz, Blu, Maci, Maxi, and Dash. We were born outside, but when our foster meowmy rescued us at one month old, she brought us indoors. Bug

You are here:
WORKING ON HIS BRAVE-HEART

DOB 1/10/22

Hi there! My name is Bug, and I’m a sweet, shy brown tabby girl who’s Calli and Cami’s sister. My foster meowmy says that I’ve taken great strides in overcoming my shyness and that I’ve got the potential to become a lap cat someday. It’s amazing what Churus lick-able treats and other cat goodies can do to bring out my innate courage.

I’m even warming up to the two resident cats in my foster home -- whereas I used to be very skeptical of them. I’m still a little intimidated by the resident dog, and I’d probably thrive best in a quiet, peaceful home without small children.

My foster meowmy is amazed at my multiple napping spots – in a sunbeam on the windowsill, fluffy pillows, and soft blankets. She says that I’ve earned my master’s degree in Napping!

I’m looking forward to finding a forever lap at my new forever home. It’d be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with either Cami or Calli (or both!). That way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Calli

You are here:
AKA SPIDER CAT

DOB 1/10/22

Hi! I'm Calli, a brown tabby with white tuxedo markings who's Cami's and Bug's sister. I have a sweet, angelic face with the biggest, most penetrating eyes you've ever seen. But don't let my innocent expression fool you! I'm a brave, acrobatic gymnist who's going to try out for the next Kitten Olympics.

I can be found zooming around the house and occasionally using the curtains to perform amazing stunts. My foster mom is awe-struck by my climbing skills. She just looks at me with eyes wide in amazement. Maybe that's why I was nicknamed Spider Cat. I know I have gnarly skills.

Otherwise, I tend to be reserved, so I'd prefer a quiet, patient home. However, I'm working on my social skills, and I'm a really cool cat otherwise. My hobbies are napping, playing hide and seek, and jumping out from weird places to startle unsuspecting cats and people.

I'm sure the right home is out there for me where they will help me develop more gnarly skills and teach me a trick or two. It'd be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with Cami or Bug (or both!). That way we can keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Calypso #kill-shelter-survivor

You are here:
COMPANION-CAT EXTRAORDINAIRE

DOB 4/19/22

Meet Calypso, a brown tabby gal with white tuxedo markings, who's sister is Moonbeam and brother is Kahlua. I'm grateful that a HOPE volunteer rescued us from a high-kill shelter.  Calypso's one of those rare kittens who enjoys being held like a baby or sitting quietly in your lap. In short, she's a great companion kitty who enjoys life's quiet moments.

Calypso is more than your run-of-the mill brown tabby cat. She's a feline who enjoys the good things in life, but at a slower, more leisurely pace. She gets along with other kitties but likes her own space from time to time.

It would be the cat's meow if Calypso were adopted with either Moonbeam or Kahlua (or both, for that matter!). That way they could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Is Calypso your spirit animal? We hope so. Arrange to meet her today!

Cami

You are here:
OUTGOING AND ADVENTUROUS

DOB 1/10/22

Hello! I’m Cami, a curious and very playful brown tabby gal with white tuxedo markings. I’m more outgoing than my two shy siblings, Bug and Calli. I love to climb and explore and then to sit quietly in my foster meowmy’s lap to take a quick cat nap.

I’ve been around kids, dogs, and other cats in my foster home, so I’m very adaptable. In fact, one of the resident dogs is like a big brother to me, and I love to snuggle up with him.

Playtime is my favorite activity. I love running through the cat tunnel, climbing the cat tree, chasing my siblings’ tails, and batting around “spring” toys. And when I’m thoroughly exhausted, I take a “time out” by basking in a sunbeam on the window sill.

My foster meowmy says I'm awesome, and I know it's true. I hope to find a loving forever home soon, and hopefully I can be adopted with Bug or Calli (or both!). That way we can keep each other company when you’re at work or on vacation.

Catherine aka "Kitty" #Pride-and-Prejudice-kitty

You are here:
LOVES TO BE HELD AND CUDDLED

DOB: 3/30/22

Hello! I’m Catherine a.k.a. “Kitty,” and like the fourth Bennet daughter in “Pride and Prejudice,” I’m very loving and affectionate. I'm a black and white Van gal, which means that I'm mostly white with a black head and tail as well as some adorable spots on my back. The Turks say that these spots on a Van kitty are the thumbprints of God.

I love to be held, to be cuddled, and to kiss your face – but this time with my foster meowmy and not British army militiamen like in the novel! I’m confident, playful, and outgoing as well as being a cuddle bug.

I'm almost identical to Lydia, who has black ears. My distinguishing marks are my solid white ears that Foster Meowmy says melt her heart, just as my sweet purr brightens her day.  Occasionally I can be toy aggressive, whereas Lydia can be food aggressive, but we’re both growing out of it.

My sisters Jane, Lizzie, Lydia, and I were brought to a vet’s office by a Good Samaritan who had found us on the mean streets of Houston. We’re generally good with other cats. My sisters and I get aggravated when we’re over-handled, so perhaps we’d not do our best in a family with small children. We don’t have any experience with dogs, except to hear their barking at the vet clinic for a few weeks before our foster meowmy took us home with her.

Although we’re available individually, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together in pairs. That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to me and the whole “Pride and Prejudice” litter.

ADORABLE PLAYBOY

DOB 5/8/22

Howdy! I’m Cheddar, a playful, energetic, and curious red tabby fella with an adorable cherubic face that melts my foster meowmy’s heart. She loves it that I’m very interactive with her. I relish it when she sits down on the floor and dangles a string wand or the feather boa wand over my head. When I get my toy “prey” in my mouth, I run away and then, bursting with excitement, fly up and down the cat tree.

Actually, I’m fascinated with everything about Foster Meowmy --- I wrestle with her feet, climb inside the folds of her bathrobe, and swat the zipper and strings of her pants. She can’t hold me down for cuddles once I set my mind on playing, but when I’m finally all tuckered out from running and jumping, I collapse in a puddle in her lap on the sofa or by her legs in her bed.

I owe a lot to my foster meowmy. My mama Coconut, my sister Sushi, and I were living inside a cardboard box on the porch of an empty house when Foster Meowmy rescued us and brought us inside to safety. I love to play tag, wrestle, and rough-house with Sushi, and it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. That way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Cat-friendly dogs don’t faze me a bit. I warmed up quickly to an over-eager Chihuahua with whom I exchanged face rubs. Since I’m so outgoing and friendly, I think I’d be the perfect addition to almost any household. Arrange to meet me (and Sushi too, for that matter!) today!

DRAPES NECKS LIKE A MINK BOA

DOB 10/1/17

Chrissie is a sweet, beautiful tuxedo gal with four white mittens. She is a quiet kitty but, when picked up, loves to cuddle against your neck.  Chrissie and her sister Nicki were rescued from an apartment complex in SW Houston.

Her favorite parts of the day are treat time and when she gets her turn in the hammock. These sisters fuss at each other if they don't take turns, just like human sisters do.  You'll never regret offering this beautiful tuxedo girl a forever family.

CRAVES PETTING AND COMPANIONSHIP

DOB 7/1/20

Hello everyone! I’m Coconut, a beautiful, sweet, mellow dilute torbie gal (silver tabby with caramel splotches, sometimes called a patched tabby) with drop-dead gorgeous green-gold eyes. I absolutely luxuriate in my foster meowmy’s attention and companionship. In case she doesn’t pet me enough, I’ll lean my whole body into her just to maximize her strokes. I love and trust her and even come when she calls me in hopes that she'll pet me.

I love to hang out near Foster Meowmy while she’s in bed, but I’ve always got my eyes on my two kittens, Cheddar and Sushi. I’m so grateful that Foster Meowmy rescued the three of us from living inside a cardboard box on the porch of an empty house.

I’ve been a very loving mama who’s been poised to protect my kits from the resident cat whenever he snoops around our foster room. So I may not get along with large dogs or felines other than my kittens in my new adoptive home. (Gosh! Wouldn’t it be great if I could be adopted with one of my kits? That way we could keep each other company when you’re at work or on vacation.)

I was shy at first, but once I felt like I was in a safe place, I warmed up quickly to my foster meowmy. I’m sure that the same will be true when I come to live in my new adoptive home. Once I’m totally relaxed and confident, I’ll become my adoptive family’s “forever companion.” All I want is a loving home where my humans give me all the pets and attention that I desire.

Cooper

FRANK SINATRA BABY BLUES

DOB 3/6/22

Howdy everyone! I’m Cooper, a sweet, playful, and handsome blue-point Siamese mix fella with Frank Sinatra eyes that steal your heart. I started out being the “spicy” one of my litter, but the young kids and teenager in my foster home gentled me up.

I’m a playful boy who loves to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with the other kittens and cats in my foster home. When I need a “time out,” I’ll find a dark cubbyhole to catnap or a patch of sunbeam on a windowsill so I can watch the world go by.

A Good Samaritan fed my mom when she showed up pregnant at her home. When Momma delivered four healthy kittens, the nice lady reached out to HOPE to find my whole family good forever homes. Arrange to meet me so I can mesmerize you with my stunning blue eyes. I hope you’ll take me home with you!

Cowboy

LOVES TREATS & CHIN SCRATCHES

DOB 6/21/19

Cowboy and his sister Sherry were found in a "free kittens ad" on an online neighborhood-networking website. The finder had spent a lot of time socializing the pair, and it shows - - - they are very people-friendly.

Cowboy is a large cinnamon mackerel tabby.  He's playful and seeks chin scratches (as well as treats). He gets along well with other cats and has recently helped to "raise" five small kittens.

Can you offer this handsome boy a forever home? Although they are available separately, Cowboy and Sherry think it would be the cat's meow if they could be adopted together. That way they could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. There's a slight discount if a bonded pair of cats is adopted.

PLAYFUL "MARMALADE" DUO

DOB 6/21/19

Cowboy and Sherry are a handsome, almost-matched bonded pair of ginger tabbies who were found in a "free-kittens" ad on a neighborhood-networking site. Before turning to HOPE to find them a wonderful new home, the finder had spent a lot of time socializing them, and it shows - - - they are very people-friendly. Plus they both get along with other cats and recently helped nurture five small orphaned kittens.

Cowboy is a large playful cinnamon mackerel tabby. He loves chin and cheek scratches and to eat treats. Sherry is a loving, playful, and lovely peach-cream mackerel tabby who likes to follow her foster meowmy around.

When Cowboy isn't begging scratches from his foster meowmy and Sherry isn't following her around, they love playing and snuggling together. They think it would be the cat's meow if they could be adopted together. That way they could  keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

If you're looking for a bonded pair of friendly tabbies who are beyond the frenzy of the kitten stage, this handsome ginger pair is perfect for you.

DASHES ABOUT BEFORE DIVING IN

DOB 3/27/22

Hi! I'm Dash, an initially shy black and white tuxdeo gal who's gaining in my confidence. Since I'm a little tentative, I got my name because I tend to dash about before I dive in.

Once my foster meowmy gets down on the floor to play with me, I'm ready to swat those wand toys or chase that laser light. I love rough-and-tumbling with my brothers and sisters too.

I'm one of the Fantastic 7 litter, along with Bing, Mitz, Blu, Bud, Maci, and Maxi. We were born outside, but when our foster meowmy rescued us at one month old, we were brought indoors. It would be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with one of my siblings. That way we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

He gets along with other cats, relishes his catnip, and has perfect scratching pad manners. He's a guy with a strong personality who would do well in a home with people of similar temperaments.

He can be very verbal and very loud when he wants something. Generally, Desi is one laid-back, cool cat.

Diamond Girl #back-porch-girl

You are here:
QUIET, PLAYFUL OBSERVER

DOB 3/14/22

Hi! I’m Diamond Girl, a sweet, gentle, friendly brown tabby with white tuxedo markings. I got my name from a perfect diamond-shaped spot on my forehead. My mommy birthed me and my sisters Jumpin’ Jill and Ruby on a nice lady’s back porch, and when we were six weeks old, she brought us inside her house to keep us safe and to socialize us really well. We love our very special kitty condo with hammocks, fluffy beds, and climbing shelves.

I’m the docile one of the trio of “back-porch” sisters, and I actively seek being near you, sometimes just so I can sit and watch quietly. I'm a little shy on my own, so I follow my sisters and stay in the background. I'll wiggle my way out of your arms, yet I'm sweet, mild, and gentle.

But I’m no couch potato! No siree! When I’m in a playful mood, I’m very active and spirited! I love to rough-and-tumble, chase, and climb with my sisters. When we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse into a kitten puddle. I’m particularly bonded with Ruby and enjoy cuddling with her.

Although I love it here in my foster home, I realize it’s best for me to find a home of my very own. Jumpin’ Jill and Ruby agree with me that it’d be the cat’s meow if two (or all three!) of us could be adopted together. That way we’d keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

If you’re looking for a little girl to bring joy, happiness, and laughter into your life, I’m your gal! Since I’m so gentle and docile, I’d be perfect in a home with well-behaved small children.

I promise that I'll leave tiny paw prints all over your heart if you adopt me. Arrange to meet me today so you can get to know me!

DAPPER LOVE MAGNET

DOB 3/24/08

Meet Dusty, a super-affectionate declawed senior gentleman. Dusty loves people and craves attention. This could be because he was left alone for six months when his owner had to move from an assisted living facility to a rehab hospital.

Dusty had bloodwork done, and we found he has an overactive thyroid.  That's one of the reasons why he was so skinny when he first  came to HOPE. Dusty gets medicine rubbed on his inner ear twice a day to control this condition. Other than that, this guy is in excellent health.

Dusty likes to tell you when his food bowl is empty or when he wants to get on the bed and snuggle with you. Dusty is a first-class cuddler and purr machine. This sweet, well-behaved guy would love to live out his senior years with you.

Elsa is a black DSH/Bombay mix with a sleek shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. Who knows exactly what blood courses through her veins without a DNA test, but if you're looking for a cat who looks like a Bombay, Elsa is the gal for you! For sure she's the best breed of all -- RESCUE!!

Elsa is our spacey girl!  She's independent and very inquisitive. She is initially shy but is so food-driven that she nudges closer to you for a good treat.

She is very playful with her siblings as well as comfortable around dogs and other cats. She loves toys.  She will need patience and time to come out of her shell, but it will be worth the effort!

Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability.

Freedom

You are here:
SNUGGLE BUDDY

DOB 7/4/21

Freedom got his name because he was born on the Fourth of July. His feral mama  had Freedom and his sister Sparkler on our front porch. We moved the babies and mama inside, and that's where they've been ever since. After the kittens were weaned, we spayed Mama and released her through HOPE'S TNR program. In the meantime, she has found a forever home with a neighbor.

Freedom is a handsome brown tabby gentleman with big, innocent gold eyes and strong mackerel (“stars and) stripes” on his forearms and chest. He loves attention and likes nothing better than to snuggle with you.

Freedom actually trained me on how to play fetch with his favorite squiggly toy. When he's tired of playing fetch, he’ll "hide" his toy, sometimes in the bathtub. While you're fast asleep, he will entertain himself by batting his toy(s) around in the bathtub. I say toys because some mornings his other toys, which he had previously hidden, all of a sudden appear in the tub; so we end up with 4 or 5 toys in the bathtub.

As you can see by his photo, all the snuggles and playtime have created a "furever" smile on his face! Although available separately, he thinks it would be the cat's meow if he could be adopted with Sparkler. That way they could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

I say toys because some mornings his other toys, which he had previously hidden, all of a sudden appear in the tub; so we end up with 4 or 5 toys in the bathtub.

Sparkler is a dilute tortoiseshell with a typical “tortie-tude.” She loves reigning on her "subjects" from above. She’s a C –A –T and decides WHEN and IF she wants your attention. Trust me, when/if she decides that you’re okay, she becomes quirky, funny, very loving, and you'll absolutely fall in love with her!

Although available separately, Sparkler and Freedom think it would be the cat's meow if they could be adopted together. That way they can keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Gracie (bonded to Winston)

MISS CONGENIALITY

DOB 9/23/19

Well hello everyone! My name is Gracie, and I’m a sweet, beautiful, loving, and playful tortoiseshell with white tuxedo markings. I’m very bonded to Winston, a handsome black-and-white bicolor fella, because we’ve been together since we were kittens. I’m the more outgoing of the pair as Winston is on the shy side. We love to chase and play until we stop to groom each other or cuddle together for a cat nap.

Our human mom passed away, but thankfully a HOPE volunteer saw our plight posted on Next Door and stepped up to the plate by offering us her foster home until we could be adopted by a forever family. We’d fit into a lot of households because we’re also compatible with dogs.

Our foster meowmy will only allow us to be adopted together since we get along so well. It works out perfectly for you in that we can keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

We have a lot of love to give to our humans, and we want to be part of your family – not just pets! So arrange to meet us – the duo who will double the love in your household.

Honey is a shy, quiet girl. She loves to be petted and will occasionally come to sit in your lap when her brother Lovebug isn't hogging it. She's very attached to her brother, and they spend a lot of time cuddling up to each other.

Honey can be slow to warm up to new people, so her new family should be ready to give her time to adjust. She loves to get canned food, and capitalizing on her food motivation is a great way to earn her trust. Once Honey decides that she trusts you, she will turn into the sweetest little girl who will cuddle, kiss you, and make biscuits in your lap.

Jack Jack (Tilly's brother)

ROLY-POLY WHEN HE'S TICKLED

DOB 4/11/22

Hello, I'm Jack Jack, a sweet, chatty, playful silver tabby with white mittens who loves to turn on my purr motor. My foster mommy's nickname for me is Roly-Poly because whenever I'm particularly happy, I love to roll around and be tickled. I might be a little shy at first, but I actually adore it when people pick me up and cuddle with me.

I’m super-friendly with the other cats in my foster home, and I enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with them as well as with my balls with bells, catnip mice, and wand toys. My other pastime is cloud-gazing from a warm patch of sunlight on the window sill.

Since I love both people and other cats, I’d make a great companion to have around in almost any household and family dynamics. My sister Tilly and I were orphaned kittens whom our future foster meowmy found and brought to safety. Although we’re available separately, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together so that when you’re at work or on vacation, we can keep each other company.

LUCKY CALICO

DOB 9/1/21

I'm Jane, and I'm a lovely, friendly, and playful calico DSH mix gal. Initially I’m a bit watchful but quickly come out of my shell for food and affection. After luxuriating in head pets and cheek scratches, I’ll settle in for a good session of cuddling.

I love zooming around the house to chase my sisters, Lizzie and Lydia. When we're thoroughly exhausted, we collapse into a kitten puddle for a long catnap. Crowded into a small wire cage, my sisters and I were found in a parking lot by a Good Samaritan, who fortunately turned to HOPE to find us our forever homes. Although we're available separately, we think it'd be the cat's meow if at least two of us could be adopted together. That way we'd keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

I’m hoping that you’ll fall in love with me so I can blossom into your beautiful friend in the haven of your home. Who knows what I can bring to you if you adopt me? In Japan, calico cats, a.k.a. Maneki Nekos, have a long history as bringers of luck. In the United States, calico cats are sometimes referred to as "money cats" because they bring good fortune to their owners.

LAP CAT WHO LOVES TO BE PETTED & CRADLED IN YOUR ARMS

DOB 11/11/20

Hello! I’m Jane and, like the oldest of the Bennet daughters in “Pride and Prejudice,” I’m very patient and inclined to see only the good in others. Even my foster meowmy admits that I’m “a surprisingly petite little lady with a noble personality.” Some might liken me to my literary counterpart and say that I’m "the most beautiful young lady in the neighborhood," but I won’t comment!

Like Lizzie, I’m a black and white bicolor kitty, which means that I'm half white with black on my head, tail, and torso. I’m a very social kitty who thrives on human interaction. I love to be petted, held, and sit in my foster meowmy’s lap.

I enjoy basking in the warmth of a sunbeam and talking to my foster meowmy about my day. I’m very smart and playful, and Foster Meowmy predicts that my forbearance will equip me to do well in a household with other cats or children.

A Good Samaritan found me as well as a mama cat with her 6 kittens on the mean streets of Houston and brought 8 of us all to a vet’s office. The mama cat had to be separated from her kittens because her mastitis precluded her kittens's nursing her further, and another foster meowmy took three of the other kittens. Thank heavens our precious foster meowmy took the four of us home and christened us as the Bennet sisters.

Actually, although Lizzie, Catherine, Lydia, and I are all black and white, I’m 18 months older than the trio of youngsters. I’m not their mother, but maybe I’m their auntie. I don’t have any experience with dogs except to hear their barking at the vet clinic for a few weeks before our foster meowmy took us home with her.

Although we’re available individually, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together in pairs. That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to me and the whole “Pride and Prejudice” group.

Jumpin Jill #back-porch-girl

You are here:
MISCHIEVOUS FELINE ACROBAT

DOB 3/14/22

I’m Jumpin’ Jill, a sweet, gentle, friendly brown tabby gal who enjoys being held. My mommy birthed me and my sisters, Diamond Girl and Ruby, on a nice lady’s back porch, and when we were six weeks old, she brought us inside her house to keep us safe and to socialize us really well.

I’m the adventurous, mischievous one of the "back-porch" trio of sisters, and sometimes I find myself in places that I’m not supposed to be. I was named because I’m quite a feline acrobat who loves to jump when I’m playing with wand toys and the laser pointer. My sisters are astounded that I can leap straight up from all four feet and do a 360-degree spin before I touch down again.

I’m bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, especially during our friendly sisterly wrestling matches. I love chasing after my sisters and then rolling and tumbling! When we’re completely exhausted, we collapse into a kitten puddle – or that’s when Foster Meowmy picks me up and gives me a few well-deserved kisses. I’m a great communicator as I meow to my foster meowmy when I want something, and she usually obliges. (I have her wrapped around my little paw.)

Diamond Girl and Ruby agree with me that it’d be the cat’s meow if two (or all three!) of us could be adopted together. That way we’d keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. If you’re looking for joy, happiness, and laughter in your life, I’m your gal! I promise to leave tiny paw prints on your heart if you adopt me. Arrange to meet me today so I can mesmerize you with my beautiful eyes.

Leroy

You are here:
FUN PURR GUY WHO LOVES TO BE HELD

DOB 3/7/2020

Leroy is a Turkish Van/ DSH mix fella. He’s called a "van" because he’s mostly white with orange markings on his head and tail. When a cat has marks on his back, as Leroy does, the Turks say that it's the thumbprint of God. Who knows if he has Turkish Van blood coursing through his veins without a DNA test, but if you're looking for a cat who "looks like" a Turkish Van, Leroy’s your boy. For sure, he’s the best breed of all -- RESCUE!

Who wouldn't want to add this playful, fun-loving guy to their family? Leroy has come a long way from being a shy, hissy kitten to a happy, sweet boy. He's still frightened of loud noises and quick movements but responds well to being picked up and held. He even purrs now!!!

Come meet Leroy, who will be happy checking out your shoelaces and untying them for you.

Lightning (Mater's sister)

You are here:
LAID-BACK LADY

DOB 9/15/21

Being out of that crazy kitten stage has it's advantages: less likely to cause chaos in your household, less chance of favorite possessions being played with, completely litter-box- and scratching-post trained. A one-year-old kitty seems like a great choice.

Young Lightning and her sister Mater are very mellow and carefree; they are content just being with their people. These sisters have a fascination with water and iPad games. Lightning is a lovely harlequin cat, which means that she's mostly white with several large patches of black.

Little Bear #fabulous-5-kitten

You are here:
CHIRPS AND SOFT-PAWS TO GET YOUR ATTENTION

DOB 5/29/22

Howdy everyone! I’m Little Bear, a sweet, super-playful Bombay mix dude. I got my name because I remind Foster Meowmy of a little bear cub. My favorite place to be is cuddling in her arms. Although I’m just a black rescue kitten, I’m like a lot of purebred Bombays that are called “Velcro cats” because they stick so closely to their humans. I should grow up to have a sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat.

I’m an attention hog, so I endearingly fight hard for the attention my foster family gives me! When Foster Meowmy walks into the foster room, I stare all the way up at her as I chirp and gently soft-paw her legs so that she’ll notice me. She then laughingly scoops me up as if to say “You are little, but I see you and love your sweet chirps!”

I used to be the runt of my litter, but it never stopped me from playing just as hard as my four siblings. We have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling. When we're thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

My mom was a frightened, under-nourished teenager who had already had one litter before we arrived. When we were 3 weeks old, the five of us and Mama were rescued from the stifling hot Houston streets by a nice lady who turned to HOPE to find us all wonderful homes. We’re relieved to be delivered from the hardscrabble life and agree that things have really turned around for us now that we’re safe in our foster home.

My siblings Penelope, Penny, and Sienna agree that it would be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted in pairs. That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. I’m super excited about finding my forever home, so I look forward to meeting you!

P.S. I hope you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of our outstanding personalities and emotional stability.

Lizzie #Pride-and-Prejudice-kitty

COUCH COMPANION WITH ENDEARING PURR

DOB: 3/30/22

Hello! I’m Lizzie, and like the heroine in “Pride and Prejudice,” I’m outgoing, ultra-confident, playful. I'm a black and white bicolor kitten, which means that I'm half white with black on my head, tail, and torso. I’m very regal with my signature beauty mark on my nose, and I have two adorable large spots on my right shoulder that make me look like a Holstein cow.

I love to spend time close to my foster meowmy. For example, I quietly lounge with her while she reads her favorite book, "Pride and Prejudice," of course. She says that my purr melts her heart; I think she likes it because it makes nice "white noise" so she can read undisturbed by any outside commotion.

My sisters Jane, Lydia, Catherine “Kitty,” and I were brought to a vet’s office by a Good Samaritan who had found us on the mean streets of Houston. We’re generally compatible with other cats. My sisters and I get aggravated when we’re over-handled, so perhaps we’d not do our best in a family with small children. We don’t have any experience with dogs except hearing their barking while we lived at the vet clinic for a few weeks before our foster meowmy took us home with her.

Although we’re available individually, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together in pairs. That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to me and the whole “Pride and Prejudice” litter.

Love Bug #plume-tail

You are here:
BIG, FLUFFY TAIL & CHERUB'S FACE

DOB 11/7/21

Howdy everyone! My name is Love Bug, and I’m true to my name --- super-friendly, cuddly, affectionate, and most of all loving. What a handsome young fella I am with my big fluff of a tail, big green eyes, and round, cherubic face! With my adorable pug nose, who knows if I have a little Persian blood flowing through my veins? I’m a beautifully marked medium-haired bicolor guy who’s half white with a black head, tail, and back.

I absolutely adore my foster meowmy, who trapped and ear-tipped me because she thought I was feral. Low and behold, I ended up being a gentle, easy-going, very sociable lap cat with her and other people.

Although I'm usually friendly and playful with other adult cats, I have my split-personality moments when I get defensive. So Foster Meowmy thinks that I should be an “only child-pet” unless I'm with friendly, non-threatening kittens. I haven’t been around dogs in my foster home, so that is unknown, but my foster meowmy predicts that I'd be good in a home with or without children.

If you’re looking for a real sweetheart of a companion kitty who is jaw-droppingly handsome, choose me! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

Luna

You are here:
AFFECTIONATE, EASY-GOING GAL

DOB 1/1/19

Hi everyone, my name is Luna.   I'm an extremely affectionate, easy-going, gentle black DSH gal with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, green, almond-shaped eyes. If I had gold eyes instead of green, I'd look like a Bombay mix. Who knows exactly what blood courses through my veins without a DNA test, but if you're looking for a solid black cat who "looks like" a Bombay, I'm the gal for you! For sure I'm the best breed of all -- RESCUE!!

My perfect day involves some lap time, a couple of meals, a power nap, a little play, and then sleep time. In my past life, I birthed six kiddos who are now all grown up, and so that means my motherly duties are done. Now I'm  a low-maintenance kitty who's looking for some "me" time with my forever family.

I wormed my way into my foster's heart and home with a few minutes of meowing, purring, and leg-rubbing.  If you give me a minute, I think I can do the same with you as well.

Luna #head-bunting-queen

You are here:
CALM, AFFECTIONATE "HARLEQUIN"

DOB 6/1/20

Greetings! I’m Luna, a sweet, peaceful, friendly, and loving black and white “harlequin” gal. This means that I’m mostly white with large patches of black splashed on my body. I’m very affectionate and absolutely love to receive my daily dose of cuddles and head scratches.

I make sure to head-bunt my foster meowmy’s ankles whenever she walks past me. I’m just marking her with my pheromones and signaling that she’s familiar, safe, and part of my “colony.”

I love to lay on soft surfaces, such as the couch or the foot of Meowmy’s bed. I also enjoy basking in a sunbeam to take a long nap in a cat tree positioned near a window. When I awake from my catnaps, I take a good yoga stretch and calmly stroll around the house.

Although there are no other pets or small children in my foster home, my foster meowmy predicts that I’d adapt well to most environments since I’m such a calm, relaxed girl.

My sister, my litter of kittens, and I were abandoned at the vet by my former family. It was awful – we were all stuck in a small cage for two months until my foster meowmy “sprang” me from my prison and brought me to her home.

Although I love it here, I’d be overjoyed to find my forever home! Could that be with you? If you’re looking for a calm yet friendly feline to grace your family, I’m your girl!

Lydia #Pride-and-Prejudice-kitty

You are here:
ENERGETIC, CURIOUS, AND OUTGOING

DOB: 3/30/22

Hello! I’m Lydia, and, like the youngest of the Bennet daughters in “Pride and Prejudice,” I’m an energetic, eccentric, and outgoing gal who just loves to play. I’m a black and white Van kitten, which means that I'm mostly white with a black head and tail as well as some adorable spots on my back. The Turks say that these spots on a Van kitty are the thumbprints of God.

I’m almost an identical twin to Catherine a.k.a. Kitty, but I have black ears, and she has white ones. Just like the Bennet sisters in the novel, we are like two peas in a pod. Occasionally I can be food aggressive, whereas Catherine can be toy aggressive, but we’re both growing out of it.

I’m very social, but instead of flirting with the British militiamen, I love conversing with my foster meowmy, who says that I always have a lot to say and that my purr “rattles the windows.” I’m the smart and curious one of my litter.

My sisters Jane, Lizzie, Catherine, and I were brought to a vet’s office by a Good Samaritan who had found us on the mean streets of Houston. We’re generally good with other cats. My sisters and I get aggravated when we’re over-handled, so perhaps we’d not do our best in a family with small children. We don’t have any experience with dogs except to hear their barking at the vet clinic for a few weeks before our foster meowmy took us home with her.

Although we’re available individually, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together in pairs. That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to me and the whole “Pride and Prejudice” litter.

Lyra's very playful and enjoys everything in a cat's life. She's great with kittens and loves to jump & pounce on her toys. Lyra is child-friendly as well as cat-friendly; she lived with two dogs and two 7-year-old boys at a previous foster home, so she's ready for just about any household. She has perfect litter-box and scratching-post manners.

CONGENIAL LIL' DYNAMO

DOB 4/15/22

Hello everyone! My name is Margo, and I’m a sweet, outgoing, friendly "bicolor" girl who's mostly white with silver tabby on my head, back, and tail. What more could you want -- I love people of all ages, other cats of all ages, and the two resident dogs in my foster home. I sleep with my foster meowmy at night, and I even come up to strangers to be petted. I’m very talkative and don’t hesitate to express my wishes when I want food or attention.

I was rescued by a couple of Good Samaritans who witnessed a man throw me out of his truck onto the side of the road. They couldn’t keep me because their dogs weren’t kitten-friendly, so they turned to HOPE.

Even though I’m an orphan kitten, I fit in immediately to the dynamics of my foster home. I adjusted beautifully and wasted no time before I was playing with the other foster kittens.

I may be small for my age, but I’m a dynamo who can take care of herself. In fact, Foster Meowmy says that I rule the house! Arrange to meet me today!

HOPE ID 22-0618-C058

If you are interested in Margo and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to https://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Marley

You are here:
THE GRAB-AND-GO-KITTEN

DOB 4/1/22

Marley is a real character! He will endlessly entertain you with his antics. He typically plays nicely with other cats or by himself. But every once in awhile, he'll come across something that he finds unique or appealing, and then he'll grab it in his mouth and run off with it so he can keep his treasure all to himself.

But if you throw his fuzzy balls or pieces of paper to fetch, he'll run after them and bring them back to you. He's very puppy-ish, but he's house trained (litterbox trained).

This spotted-tabby guy does have his soft side, though, and he loves fluffy blankets to make biscuits on. Who needs a Marley-cat in their life? He'd be great in a home with kids, dogs, and other cats.

HOPE ID 22-070-G139

Mater (Lightning's sister)

You are here:
MELLOW SWEETHEART

DOB 9/15/21

When you meet Mater, you may be struck by her shiny coat and beautiful green eyes, but Mater is more than just another pretty kitty. This carefree, mellow feline will surround you with her peaceful aura. She will sit in your lap very contentedly or watch over you from afar.

Mater is a well-behaved young cat who has a playful, curious side. She likes to explore and find new toys like discarded paper wads or dust bunnies under the bed. Mater gets along with other cats but likes her sister Lightning most of all. She'd be fine in a home with other cats and kids.

Mater is considered a "van" kitty because she is mostly white with black on her head and tail. The Turks say that an occasional spot on the back of a Turkish Van is the thumbprint of God.

DOB 3/27/22

Hi! I'm Maxi, a sweet, engaging, curious, and very well-behaved blue mackerel tabby girl with white tuxedo markings. I'm a dog-friendly gal who loves to hunt down strange sounds.

I'm Bing's identical-twin sister. We are part of the Fantastic 7 litter, along with Mitz, Blu, Bud, Maci, Maxi, and Dash. We were born outside, but when our foster meowmy rescued us at one month old, we were brought indoors. It would be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with one of my siblings. That way we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Milky Way (bonded with Stumpy)

You are here:
VOTED BEST PURR KITTY

DOB 5/15/20

Hi, I’m Milky Way, a gentle, calm, quiet, and beautiful black and white bicolor kitty who’s mostly white with black on my head, tail, and back. My fur is as soft as a bunny’s. I’m an incredibly friendly kitty who can be shy at first. However, once I get to know you, I’ll reward you with loud purrs and will nudge you for endless cuddles. I’m an easygoing cat who will do best in a quiet and calm home.

I was rescued with my beautiful young kittens, whom I lovingly raised and who have now all found their forever homes. I was lonely until my foster meowmy introduced me to Stumpy, an orphan kitten who was rescued after being mauled by possums. Stumpy had to have her injured leg amputated, and I immediately accepted weak little “tripod" Stumpy as my own kitten.

Foster Meowmy is amazed how lovingly I nurtured Stumpy back to perfect health! Stumpy and I developed a strong mother-daughter bond and are now inseparable. We need each other so much emotionally that our foster meowmy is insisting that we be adopted together. Would you open your home and heart to the pair of us?

A TALE OF HOW LOVE CURES LONELINESS

DOB 3/1/22 (tabby) & 5/15/20 (black and white)

Howdy everyone! We’re Stumpy and Milky Way, a bonded pair of cats who have a strong mother/daughter relationship, although we’re not related.

Stumpy says, “I’m a friendly, sociable, playful brown tabby gal who has the sweetest cherubic face that you can imagine. I got my strange name because I’m a tripod kitten with three legs. Don't let that fool you! I’m full of energy and mischief just like any other kitten and love to run, climb, and play. (Animals actually adjust quite well to getting around without a leg.)”

“I’m a constant purr machine and love to receive pets and kisses when I cuddle in my foster family’s many laps. I’m somewhat of an attention hog because I love all the attention that my foster family showers on me.”

“Not only do I get along with the adults and kids in my foster home but also with the other kittens and cats with whom I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle. I love to chase balls with bells, catnip mice, and wand toys, and when I’m thoroughly exhausted from my kitten antics, I collapse in a kitten puddle or bask in a sunbeam on a window sill to gaze outside. I’d do well in a home with lots of toys and attention.”

Milky Way says, “I’m a gentle, calm, quiet, and beautiful black and white bicolor kitty who’s mostly white with black on my head, tail, and back. My fur is as soft as a bunny’s. I’m an incredibly friendly kitty who can be shy at first. However, once I get to know you, I’ll reward you with loud purrs and will nudge you for endless cuddles. I’m an easygoing cat who will do best in a quiet and calm home.”

DOB 4/4/17

Do you like to play STRING?  I do!  I'm a loving and playful calico girl, curious and intelligent.  I love to play in bags and boxes.  I act more like a kitten than an adult - - I still run around the room like I was 2 months old!

I like to greet my foster mom at the door and maybe follow her around the house for awhile before I get sleepy.  My foster mom rescued me from a high-kill shelter so that I could have a chance at a nice "fur-ever" home. Come check me out!

I'm Blu's fraternal-twin brother. We are part of the Fantastic 7 litter along with Bing, Bud, Maci, Maxi, and Dash. Moonshine (Sunny's sister)

You are here:
PLAYFUL AND SNUGGLY

DOB 4/14/22

Moonshine, a tortoiseshell with a white and orange-tabby locket, is a sweet girl who enjoys the kitty tunnel, chasing balls, and snuggling with Foster Meowmy. When she was first found, she appeared to be black, but over time her coat has gotten more red tabby patches. Moonshine loves her foster meowmy, gets along with the other foster cats, but seems to be wary of dogs.

Moonshine, her mom Rainbow, and her brother Sunny were found at the curb of a southwest Houston street. The finder thought they had been hit by a car and took them to a HOPE foster, but luckily they were fine --- just hot and hungry.

While Mama Rainbow was able to nurse her two kittens some, she needed help, and so Moonshine received about a week of bottle feedings. She’s a delicate eater and will likely be slender like her mama.

Moonshine and her brother Sunny make a coordinated set as her patches match his red fur. They think it’d be the cat’s meow if they could be adopted together. That way they could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Can you offer Moonshine a loving home? Arrange to meet her (and Sunny too, for that matter!) today!

Nemo #affable-gent

You are here:
MR. CONGENIALITY

DOB 9/15/18

Howdy everyone! I’m Nemo, a friendly, easy-going, affectionate bicolor “ticked” tabby fella who’s half white with orange tabby on my head, torso, and tail. I adore everyone -- you name it -- adults, kids, dogs, and other cats. I'm a sweet, gentle, well-behaved, social fella who makes the best companion you could imagine for my human. I never bite or scratch, so I'd be a safe choice for a home with young children.

I’m extremely laid-back and submissive to other household cats, but I still love to play chase with the best of them. When I need a “time out” from all the foster-home kitty activity, I enjoy lying in dark places or basking in the warmth of a sunbeam in the window hammock.

How did a perfect kitty like me end up needing a new home? Certainly through no fault of my own: I was adopted as a 4-month-old kitten by a first-time cat owner, who soon realized that he was allergic to me. For three years my human got shots, took meds, and refused to give me up because I was his precious friend. Finally, however, his allergies got so bad that, much to his chagrin, he had no other choice than to ask HOPE to find me a new home.

I’m a real gem of a cat who’d fit like a glove into almost any household or family dynamics. If you're looking for a sweet, affable cat who will love you, your children, your cats, and your dogs, I’m the boy for you!

Nicki and her sister Chrissie were rescued from an apartment complex in SW Houston. Nicki has a sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat and piercing copper-penny eyes. Your quiet home will be perfect to offer Nicki.

Hello! My name is Rachel, and I’m a sweet, cuddly, and very playful silver tabby girl. I love my foster meowmy and the seven resident pets: five Chihuahuas and two adult cats, Garfield and Phoebe. Garfield makes a wonderful orange-tabby pillow to cushion my cat naps.

My favorite things to do are to snuggle with Meowmy and to play with my toys. When I’m given supervised visits on the enclosed patio, I love to explore in the potted-plant garden. Foster Meowmy says that I have a black thumb!

PICK ME UP AND LET ME SNUGGLE!

DOB 5/26/21

I’m Rainbow, an ultra-sweet dilute tortoiseshell with white tuxedo markings (a locket and mittens). I'm one girl who just loves to be picked up and cuddled. I got my name because my coat's a rainbow of beautiful, pleasing colors -- just like my pleasant, friendly personality.

I was a teenage mom who fortunately was rescued with my two kittens Sunny and Moonshine from the street curb of a southwest Houston neighborhood.  Our rescuer thought we had been hit by a car and took us to a HOPE foster, but luckily we were fine --- just hot and hungry.

I was a great mom and took excellent care of my babies, though I did enjoy a little "me" time alone as they got older. I'm sure that you know how demanding kiddos can be when they're tiny!

I AM still a teenager with a lot of spunk! I love playing chase with not only my kittens but also the other cats in my foster home. I’m a sweetie who will make a great addition to your home. If you’re looking for a kitty who gets along with humans as well as plays peacefully with other cats and kittens, I’m your girl!

Roosevelt is super laid-back and tends to be outgoing in familiar surroundings. Roosevelt likes his food and may grow up to be a big boy. But who doesn't like big boy kitties?

Ruby #back-porch-girl

You are here:
SUGAR 'N SPICE 'N EVERYTHING NICE

DOB 3/14/22

Hi! I’m Ruby, a sweet, gentle, friendly brown tabby gal with white tuxedo markings. I got my name because I’m a gem, pure and simple. My mommy birthed me and my sisters Jumpin’ Jill and Diamond Girl on a nice lady’s back porch, and when we were six weeks old, she brought us inside her house to keep us safe and to socialize us really well.

I’m the friendliest of the trio of “back-porch” sisters, and you can easily coax me to play interactively with wand toys and laser pointers as well as to entertain myself with balls with bells and catnip mice. I like to cuddle and be held by my foster meowmy, especially after I’m tired from playing with my sisters. Don’t let my wanting to be held fool you – I’m also an amazing wrestler with my siblings, and we have several matches daily!

I’ve got the perfect energy-activity level – I’m not as high-wired as Jumpin’ Jill but I’m livelier than Diamond Girl, with whom, incidentally, I’m particularly bonded. We three love to scamper around, chase each other, rough-and-tumble, and then collapse exhausted into a kitten puddle.

Jumpin’ Jill and Diamond Girl agree with me that it’d be the cat’s meow if two (or all three!) of us could be adopted together. That way we’d keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

If you’re looking for joy, happiness, and laughter in your life, I’m your gal! I promise that I'll leave tiny paw prints all over your heart if you adopt me. Arrange to meet me today so you see what a perfectly balanced kitten temperament that I possess – “sugar and spice and everything nice.” I’d love to crawl in your lap and cuddle with you.

Shannon #St.-Patty's-Day-mama

You are here:
MOM OF ST. PATTY'S DAY KITTENS

DOB 3/1/21

Meet Shannon, a very friendly, laid-back black-and-white tuxedo gal. This sweetie was rescued from a county shelter one day after giving birth to five healthy kittens on St. Patrick's Day. (That's why Shannon and her kits have Irish names like Liam, Patrick, Conan, Jamie, and Murphy.) Young mom Shannon has weaned her kittens and is now ready for her forever home.

Looking for a low-energy, non-destructive kitty with a great personality? Shannon may be for you. She has been extremely healthy, so we were very surprised  when she tested positive for heartworms. Shannon has been on the "slow-kill" protocol for heartworms for four months now with no adverse effects.

If you are interested in adopting this exceptionally sweet kitty, we would include a dose of Bravecto Plus, which is the treatment that she is on. Please don't overlook this treasure. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Sherry

You are here:
YOUR FRIENDLY SHADOW

DOB 6/21/19

Sherry is a cream mackerel tabby who's a lovely, friendly girl. She  and her brother Cowboy are a handsome, almost-matched duo who were found   in a "free kittens ad" on an online neighborhood- networking websiteThe finder had spent a lot of time socializing the pair, and it shows - - - they are very people-friendly.

Sherry is playful, loving, and curious. She likes to follow her foster meowmy around. She gets along well with other cats and has recently helped to "raise" five small kittens who are not related to her.

Can you offer this sweet girl a loving home? Although they are available separately, Sherry and Cowboy think it would be the cat's meow if they could be adopted together. That way they could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Simon #pick-me-up-&-hold-me

You are here:
AFFECTIONATE AND NOT SHY WITH STRANGERS

DOB 4/8/18

Hi everyone! My name is Simon, and I’m a sweet, friendly, affectionate, and playful brown tabby fella with gorgeous jade-green eyes. I have short legs, so I look adorable when I walk. (I may have a little Munchkin-cat blood coursing through my veins.)

I love spending time with my foster family, and I’m not shy at all about meeting new people. I’m so laid-back that I’m one of those rare kitties who doesn’t mind being handled or picked up

I luxuriate when my foster meowmy puts her forehead onto mine and give me kisses. Getting my head petted and chin scratched are right up there as “tops” in my book. On the other hand, getting my tummy rubbed is not so pleasant (as many other kitties will agree), so I’ll gently soft-paw Foster Meowmy to tell her to stop.

Usually I’m a quiet kitty who minds my own business, but then again sometimes I can be very talkative. Foster Meowmy thinks I’ve got a cute, sweet voice that’s like a chirping meow.

I was rescued from a rough life on the streets, so I welcomed the brand-new indoor amenities of my “donut” bed as well as wand toys and balls with bells. I like to bask in a sunbeam on the windowsill as I watch the squirrels and birds outside.

I’m lucky in that I won’t ever have to fight to survive a hardscrabble life of a street-stray ever again. I’m not so lucky in that I contracted FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), probably from a deep bite wound from an intact male cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on “casually” by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as special attention is routinely given to my dental health and prompt attention is given to secondary infections of the urinary tract or upper respiratory system.

I get along pretty well with other cats as well as the small dogs in my foster home, but it would be just fine if I were the only cat. Incidentally, I have perfect litter box and scratching-post manners.

Foster Meowmy says that I’m very resilient from my stint as stray and that I’m “the sweetest cat in the whole world.” She thinks I would really make anyone happy. I’m just looking for a place to call my own and where I can soak up all the love and attention that can be showered on me. Could you be the forever family I’ve been waiting for?

Sky

You are here:
VELCRO SWEETHEART

DOB 7/16/21

My name is Sky, and I am a sweet, very friendly, cuddly, affectionate, loving girl. In fact, you might call me a Velcro cat because I relish interacting with my humans.

I'm a striking black DSH/Bombay mix gal with my sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and copper-penny eyes.  Who knows exactly what blood courses through my veins without a DNA test, but if you're looking for a cat who looks like a Bombay, I'm the gal for you! For sure I'm the best breed of all -- RESCUE!!

I'm an adorable kitten who loves hanging out with my brother, Gris. Sometimes we play, sometimes we fight. I also enjoy roughhousing with the other kitties in the house, but I never try to overpower them.

I hope you're not superstitious because Groucho Marx said, "A black cat crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of our outstanding personalities and emotional stability.

I'm a sweetheart who' d like to go to a house that has another cat . . . or even better, to be adopted with Gris. Just think, we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Sky & Gris

You are here:
FRIENDLY, AFFECTIONATE, SOCIABLE DUO

DOB 7/16/21

Howdy! We're Sky (black girl) and Gris (brown tabby boy), a bonded pair of young littermates who shower love on our humans as much as on our other feline foster-mates. We're a social, affectionate duo who adores cuddling with our foster meowmy. Sometimes we fight, and sometimes we play, but it's always in a spirit of having fun. Plus we relish lots of fun rough-and-tumbling with the other kitties in our foster home.

Although we're available separately, we think it'd be the cat's meow if we could be adopted together. That way we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Sparkler

You are here:
FEARLESS, QUIRKY, FUNLOVING EXPLORER

DOB 7/4/21

Sparkler got her name because she was born on the Fourth of July. Her feral mama had Sparkler and her brother Freedom on our front porch.  We brought them inside, and that's where they've been ever since. After the kittens were weaned, we spayed Mama and released her through HOPE'S TNR program. In the meantime, she has found a forever home with a neighbor.

Sparkler is a dilute tortoiseshell with a typical “tortie-tude.” She loves reigning on her "subjects" from above. She’s a C–A –T and decides WHEN and IF she wants your attention.

Spirit

You are here:
PURR BABY WHO LOVES BELLY RUBS

DOB 1/1/20

Spirit is a sweet, curious dilute torbie (tortoiseshell with tabby instead of black patches) who rolls over for belly rubs and purrs contentedly while being brushed. A pleasant, relaxing life in her foster home, however, has not always been the case for her.

Spirit had been fighting to survive on the cruel city streets as a teenage momma and was very protective of her precious babies when a Good Samaritan found her. Luckily the Animal Control officer who picked her up contacted HOPE to find her a home.

Now Spirit truly appreciates living inside her safe foster home with loving humans. She is very curious about everything in her environment. She loves the good life where she doesn't have to hunt for food or find a cool, dry place to sleep.  This grateful street cat would be happiest in a home without other cats or dogs.

Stranger

You are here:
FROM SHY TO BIG, SILLY LAP CAT

DOB 5/1/20

Stranger had a rough start before he came to HOPE.  He was seen around the neighborhood for a few months but was too timid and scared of people to be approached.  After a few weeks of patience and feeding, he finally felt comfortable enough one freezing morning to come and ask for help.  By this time he was extremely ill with a severe upper respiratory infection and was suffering from a terrible eye infection.  He was also very underweight and had sustained multiple minor injuries while roaming outside on his own.

After a few weeks of antibiotics, loving care, and healthy food, this shy boy became a loving lap cat!  He's a big silly boy with a sweet personality and a tiny voice.  He loves belly rubs, playing with his toys, being brushed, and having ice cubes in his water!  He loves to jump and play but will also chill and watch a movie when it is time to relax.

He is coming out of his shell and will be a wonderful addition to a loving home.

Stumpy (bonded to Milky Way)

You are here:
FRIENDLY, LOVABLE LAP KITTEN

DOB 3/1/22

Howdy everyone! I’m Stumpy, a friendly, sociable, playful brown tabby gal who has the sweetest cherubic face that you can imagine. I got my strange name because I’m a tripod kitten with three legs. Don't let that fool you! I’m full of energy and mischief just like any other kitten and love to run, climb, and play. (Animals actually adjust quite well to getting around without a leg.)

I’m a constant purr machine and love to receive pets and kisses when I cuddle in my foster family’s many laps. I’m somewhat of an attention hog because I love all the attention that my foster family showers on me.

Not only do I get along with the adults and kids in my foster home but also with the other kittens and cats with whom I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle. I love to chase balls with bells, catnip mice, and wand toys, and when I’m thoroughly exhausted from my kitten antics, I collapse in a kitten puddle or bask in a sunbeam on a window sill to gaze outside. I’d do well in a home with lots of toys and attention.

I had a very rough start in life. I was rescued as a tiny, weak orphaned kitten who had been mauled by possums. I had to have my injured front leg amputated, and fortunately in my foster home a lonely “retired” mama cat named Milky Way (whose kittens had been weaned and recently adopted) immediately accepted me and lovingly nurtured me back to perfect health.

Milky Way and I developed a strong mother-daughter bond and are now inseparable. We need each other so much emotionally that our foster meowmy is insisting that we be adopted together. Would you open your home and heart to the pair of us?

Sunny (Moonshine's brother)

You are here:
FULL OF VIM AND VIGOR

DOB 4/14/22

Fluffy red tabby boy Sunny, who has white tuxedo markings and tail tip, got his name because his approach to life is sunny-side-up! So far he loves his foster meowmy as well as other cats of all sizes but is timid with dogs. He’s full of vim and vigor. He doesn't walk --- he runs, and when he wants something, he’ll let you know.

Sunny, his mom Rainbow, and his sister Moonshine were found at the curb of a southwest Houston street. The finder thought they had been hit by a car and took them to a HOPE foster, but luckily they were fine --- just hot and hungry.

While Mama Rainbow was able to nurse her two kittens some, she needed help, and so Sunny received about a week of bottle feedings. He loved his kitten formula as well as his foster meowmy’s cuddles that went with it!

Needless to say, Sunny’s quite the snuggler when he’s all tuckered out from playing with his foster mates. This little fluffball needs a loving home with a family who can give him plenty of attention.

Sunny and his sister Moonshine make a coordinated set as her patches match his red fur. They think it’d be the cat’s meow if they could be adopted together. That way they could keep each other company while you were at work or on vacation.

Are you ready to shower Sunny with all the attention in which he luxuriates? Arrange to meet him (and Moonshine too, for that matter!) today!

Taffie

You are here:
ALL PURRS AND CUDDLES

DOB 3/3/22

Hello! I’m sweet, curious Taffie, a fluffy gal with unusual "harlequin" markings. This means that I’m mostly white with several large patches of dark gray. I think I’m beautifully disguised with my mysterious Mardi Gras mask across my eyes on my adorable face.

My mother Trudy, my three siblings, and I were left alone in a hot apartment when our family moved out. Luckily the maintenance man came a few days later and rescued us!

I’m the smallest of my siblings, but that hasn’t stopped me one bit! I’m initially a bit shy and hesitant, but once I settle into your arms, I’m all purrs and cuddles. I love the way my foster meowmy interacts with me – she talks to me as well as shows me things that pique my curiosity.

I love my foster home and my nurturing foster meowmy, but I’m ready to write a new chapter in my life – starring you! I had a hard start in life, but I’m hoping for a loving home with air conditioning!

Tallie and I think that it would be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. We’re a beautifully matched pair who could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. I hope you’ll arrange to meet me (and Tallie too, for that matter!) today.

LOVES TO RECLINE ON A PILLOW LIKE CLEOPATRA

DOB 3/3/22

Hello! I’m sweet, beautiful Tallie, a medium-haired Turkish Van mix gal. I'm called a "van" because I'm mostly white with black markings on my head and tail. The Turks call it the thumbprint of God when a van has a spot on her back like I do. Who knows if Turkish Van blood is coursing through my veins without a DNA test, but if you're looking for a cat who "looks like" a Turkish Van, I'm your girl. For sure, I'm the best breed of all -- RESCUE!

My mother Trudy along with me and by three siblings were left in an apartment alone when our family moved out.  Luckily the maintenance man came a few days later and rescued us!

My sister Taffie and I like to play the "beautiful cats on the pillow" game – that is whenever we’re not wrestling each other over a feather toy.

I love my foster home and my nurturing foster meowmy, but I’m ready to write a new chapter in my life – starring you! I’m anxious to learn that my adopter can be kind.

Taffie and I think that it would be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. We’re a beautifully matched pair (she’s white on gray) who could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. I hope you’ll arrange to meet me (and Tillie too, for that matter!) today.

Teddy

You are here:
I WANT TO BE YOUR TEDDY BEAR!

DOB 8/26/21

Super Sweet, just like a teddy bear, I’m Mr. Teddy the little blue tabby.  My hooman likes to cuddle me like a baby, and well, I like it most of the time.  I got presents for Christmas, but I didn’t really care.  I would have been just fine with nothing. I like some kisses and cuddles but not too many.  I still have kitten business to do.

I have plenty of brothers and sisters to keep me entertained.  Even though I'm the independent one of the bunch, I still love snuggling close and sleeping on the bed.  I’m very confident and pretty pleased with how I’m growing up.

I’m the best little helper.  I can help you sweep, fold the laundry, make the bed, change the filter.  There’s no end to the chores we can accomplish!  My siblings are Penelope, Slade, and Alexander.  Please check them out and see if we need to have a playmate.

He loves being held and sitting in your lap. He's just as sweet as can be and would do well in almost any situation.

Yet Terry is still a kitten and does have that playful side too. Bring out a string or mice that rattle, and Terry comes alive. Terry is looking for his forever home. Are you the one?

Tilly (Jack Jack's sister)

You are here:
COY LITTLE PLAY GIRL

DOB 4/11/22

Hello, I'm Tilly, a super-sweet, playful dilute tortoiseshell gal who’s mostly solid gray with light tan smudges on my face and a white chin and locket. I rather look like a gray kitten who was splashed with caramel in a candy factory. I'm a little tentative, but once I warm up, I love it when my foster meowmy picks me up and cuddles with me.

Although I’m shy, I’ll come running if Foster Meowmy dangles a toy for me to chase. I love all toys that crinkle, rattle with bells, or sniff of catnip. And I have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with the other foster kittens as we scramble up/down cat towers and over chairs.

I’ll need a little patience from my adoptive family as I acclimate to my new home; however, once I feel secure, I’ll be a great, fun friend to have around as I exhibit my kitten energy and antics during playtime.

My brother Jack Jack and I were orphaned kittens whom our future foster meowmy found and brought to safety. Although we’re available separately, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. That way we could keep each other company when you’re at work or on vacation.

Tinsley

You are here:
SHE JUST HELPS HERSELF!

DOB 9/1/20

Hi! I’m Tinsley, a beautiful medium-haired gray tabby with white tuxedo markings. Don't you love my 4 white mittens?

I'm the mommy of 8 kittens! I took courtship to a whole new level! But I finished raising my little rug rats and am ready for a great life with a wonderful home. I'm the best momma and very protective of them even now.  My kids are Alexander, Blue, Chloe, Penelope, Phoebe, Slade, Slate and Teddy.  You can check out all of my cutie babies. (You can see our story and watch us grow on Tiktok @tenblackcats.)

I'm very resourceful from the time I spent on the streets of Houston.  This means that if I want something I will help myself … Unopened bag of dry food?  no problem; Bunny’s litter box? mine;  Closed doors? I can probably open them; Telling the hooman where to shove off? done; Keeping the hooman’s personal cats in line?  no question...

Basically I get my way, but for the most part, I'm a benevolent overlord. I love boxes, cat trees, sunny windows…and your fluffy bed.

Tommy #awesome-dude

You are here:
MR. ULTIMATE CONGENIALITY

DOB 1/21/21

Howdy! I’m Tommy, and I’m a very affectionate, friendly, gentle, talkative black-and-white bicolor fella who absolutely loves everyone. You name it – adults, toddlers, dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, and even strangers. Nothing – even the smoke alarm – fazes me.

My foster meowmy just thinks I’m awesome because I’m the friendliest cat she’s ever had. My congenial personality even wins over people who don’t otherwise like cats. She thinks I’m so adorable because I welcome (human) guests as well as new foster animals. Because so many cats can be real curmudgeons, I guess it’s rather unique that I’m nice to everyone.

I love to get my share of attention as well as food. Mealtime is my favorite part of the day, and I greet Foster Meowmy every morning by chirping, “Is it breakfast time?” I may lead her to the pantry door where the canned food is kept.

I’ve been known to follow Foster Meowmy around like a dog. When I sit against the wall or sofa and stretch out my paws to her, she knows I’m trying to get her attention.

I’m also playful with balls with bells, catnip mice, and wand toys. I play big brother to a lot of the little kittens by teaching them how to enjoy the cat tree, scratching post, and soft beds. When I’m not serving as the Host with the Most, I’ll spend a few quiet moments by the window to watch the squirrels or people passing by.

Foster Meowmy has nothing but superlatives to say about me: “We love Tommy very much . . . He’s the perfect kitty out of all of them. . . He’d be the greatest addition to anyone’s home.”

Even though I love it in my foster home, I know it’s best that I have a forever home of my own. I’d fit like a glove in many households since I’d adjust so easily to a loving family and other friendly animals. Arrange to meet me today!

SWEET GIRL LOVES TO BE BRUSHED!

DOB 4/22/18

Trudy is a sweet black DSH with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big round eyes. She and her four kittens were left in an apartment alone when the family moved out.  Luckily the maintenance man came a few days later and rescued them.

Trudy was a good mother, and her kittens will soon join her at adoptions.  She is a little shy at first, but never mean, and she loves to be brushed.  This sweet girl deserves a loving home - - - could it be yours?

Violet

SWEEET, SENSITIVE "SHRINKING VIOLET"

DOB 11/15/21

Violet is low-key, well-behaved, yet lively bicolor silver tabby with white legs and tummy. She's a down-soft, petite beauty who has big, gorgeous green eyes.

This sweet, sensitive soul was rescued from a high-kill shelter along with her four newborn kittens. Violet has been a really great "teenage" mom who nursed her babies even after her spay surgery.

Violet would make a great addition to a slow-paced home that overflows with lots of love.

Winston (bonded to Gracie)

You are here:
HANDSOME DEBONAIRE GENT

DOB 9/30/19

Well hello everyone! My name is Winston, and I’m a sweet, handsome, loving, and playful black-and-white bicolor fella. I’m very bonded to Gracie, a pretty tortoiseshell with white tuxedo markings, because we’ve been together since we were kittens. I’m the more shy of the pair as Gracie is an outgoing lass.

Woobee

You are here:
SPUNKY CUDDLEBUG

DOB 8/24/19

Woobee is a beautiful Turkish Van/DSH mix gal who's mostly white with black on her head and tail.  Who knows exactly what blood courses through her veins without a DNA test, but if you're looking for a cat who looks like a Turkish Van, Woobee is the gal for you! For sure she's the best breed of all -- RESCUE!!

She was rescued during Tropical Storm Imelda.  She is full of zany antics and plenty of spunky attitude.  Woobee will bunny-kick a stuffed animal and then come sit on your lap for praise and cuddles.  This girl really would love a forever home.
