Abigail #olive-green-eyes

You are here:
FRIENDLY, AFFECTIONATE, AND OUTGOING SCHMOOZER

DOB 1/4/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Abigail, a friendly, affectionate, and outgoing bicolor gal who’s mostly white with brown tabby on my head, torso, and tail. Foster Meowmy’s lap is my favorite spot, and I require plenty of quality time with her there. I also enjoy lying in her arms as she cuddles me like a baby as well as sleeping at the foot of her bed. While we're "up close and personal," it makes her feel very calm to gaze into my big olive-green eyes.

By the way, I’m no couch potato! No sirree! I love interactive play with Foster Meowmy as she waves the wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room for me to chase. She’s also supplied me with motion-sensor toys that activate when I move close by, and they intrigue me. When I’m not with Foster Meowmy, I spend my time exploring high places as well as showing off my finesse as a soccer striker as I bat around crinkle balls. When I want some “alone time,” I find a nice small box or cubby to catch a few winks.

In case you're wondering why a lovely gal like me needs a new home, here's my rescue backstory. Hungry, thirsty, and desperate to find a guardian angel, I ran into a high-rise office building. Everyone made a big fuss over me – they petted me, picked me up, loved on me – but then put me down. I thank my lucky stars that a HOPE volunteer found out about my plight and took me to my foster home.

Since I was so sociable and obviously someone’s pet, Foster Meowmy did her due diligence and tried to find my owner. Alas, I had no microchip, and I wasn’t posted on any lost-pet websites. I fit right in with the resident cats in my foster home, and I tolerate the resident dogs. So here I am, ready to find my forever home. If you’re looking for a playful, curious, and smart “schmoozer” of a kitty who happily lies in your lap, I’m the gal for you! Arrange to meet me today! I’ve never met a stranger, and I can’t wait to meet you, your family, resident cats or dogs, and all your friends.

Alice #miss-congeniality

You are here:
DREAMILY LOOKS UP INTO YOUR EYES

DOB 8/7/22

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Alice, a sweet, curious, playful Turkish Van mix gal who’s mostly white with gray tabby on my head and tail. Everyone falls in love with me when my beautiful face stares up into their eyes. I love food, love to play, and love to investigate my surroundings.

I was rescued by a kind woman who found me and my sisters Tris, Lucy, and Victoria as orphaned kittens when we were so young that we needed to be bottle-fed. Once we were eating on our own, our tenderhearted future Foster Meowmy responded to the plea on the HOPE FaceBook page that we needed someone to foster us until we were adopted. She brought us to our foster home, where we enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with each other until we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’m a happy girl whose life is a repeated cycle of play-sleep-eat.

Since we were bottle-fed and familiar with being handled by hoomans, we’ve always been very friendly and sociable – even with strangers. In fact, we come out to meet visitors! Although we haven’t been around kids in our foster home, I’m sure we’d be fine with well-mannered children because we’ve been very comfortable around the Great Pyrenees dog (I really bonded to him.) and the other resident cats. These kitties have acted like aunts and uncles who've taught us everything that our momma would've taught us if she'd been around.

I hope that I’ve piqued your interest and that you’ll arrange to meet me! My heart has so much love to give, all I need is YOU!

He loves sunbeams where he sits up tall and straight and relaxes when the sun goes down.  Bring Aster home and bring home some love.

Astrid #quad-squad

You are here:
EVERY DAY IS PLAY DAY

DOB 9/9/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Astrid, a very sweet and friendly dilute tortoiseshell gal whose day is a constant cycle of eating treats, playing, and then snoozing. This all could be with my beloved foster meowmy or with my siblings, a.k.a. the #quad-squad. My sisters Ava and Brooke as well as my brother Taco were scooped up with me by Foster Meowmy and her neighbors as our feral momma was trying to move us to a safer place when we were just three weeks old. My whole family was brought inside, and once we were weaned, Momma was released back outside after her spay surgery.

I love my sisters and brother because we have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. In fact, now that we’re ready for our forever homes, we think it’d be the cat’s meow if we were adopted in pairs. That way we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet the #quad-squad today! We might be a little shy when first meeting you, but it won’t be long before we’re cuddled up asleep with you.

Aurora #all-in

You are here:
100% DEVOTED

DOB 9/16/23

Whatever Aurora does, she pours her whole heart into the effort. Whether it's cleaning herself, searching for lost toys, or chilling in a morning sunbeam, Aurora  concentrates on each task at hand.

Given her age when rescued, Aurora needs a patient home where she can adjust at her own pace. She loves people and other cats and tolerates dogs, but a lot of chaos scares her. If you have a zen-type home, Aurora would welcome gracing you with her presence. Your reward will be lots of purrs and head butts.

Banksy #graffiti-boy

You are here:
STREET URCHIN TO PAMPERED PET

DOB 4/28/23

Have you ever seen a kitten whose body looks like a canvas that a graffiti artist has started splashing with tiny spots of black paint? Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Banksy, a sweet and playful fella who’s pure white except for a black semi-colon between my ears. I’m one of the #graffiti-boys who were all named after graffiti street-artists because our momma Clara birthed us on the mean streets of Houston. The good news is that I’m a little street urchin no longer. No siree! I’ve been babied, cuddled, and kissed ever since I was rescued and started living in my foster home, where I eat yummy culinary delights and sleep on soft down pillows! Yep, I’m truly a pauper-turned-prince!

My brothers, Zephyr and Donti, and I are fascinated by everything in the bathroom. That’s because there’s all kinds of great things there -- toilet paper, paper towels, rugs, humans, toys, shampoo, water, and our favorite, the occasional roach. I can’t describe the fun of rolling ping pong balls and cat spring-toys – anything with curves – along the sides of the bathtub like it’s the perfect skateboard park.

And it’s fun to sit on the edge of the tub and play hide-and-seek behind the shower curtain. We’ve destroyed a few shower curtains by batting each other with our little claws, but Foster Meowmy thinks that’s a small price to pay for the hours of enjoyment we have playing peek-a-boo through the clear plastic.

If you’re looking for hours of entertainment with a handsome fella’s who’s a feast to the eyes, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with both of my brothers or momma Clara so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Just think – you can get all your cat-needs met with our little Instacat family.

Benny #man-of-action

You are here:
BALL OF ORANGE ENERGY

DOB 2/21/24

Meow, everyone! I’m Benny, a sweet, loving yet active and energetic pastel orange tabby with white mittens and boots, white moustache, and white locket. I’m stunningly handsome, if I do say so myself. I have my moments when I like for Foster Meowmy to hold me like a baby, so she calls me “Big Baby Benny.” However, most of the time, I’m right in the midst of the action since my frenetic personality enjoys the thrill of things.

When I was about nine months old, future foster meowmy rescued me as a dumpster diver in her apartment complex. I was a young orphan with no momma or siblings in sight. Boy howdy! I was grateful when she brought me inside to safety to join her herd of resident cats, two large dogs, as well as other foster cats. I immediately bonded with the felines, although my orange-cat energy sometimes overwhelms the adults. I recklessly tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with the other young foster cats. The cat-friendly dogs don’t bother me, but after fending for myself while I was outdoors, I tend to feel vulnerable and territorial around pooches.

Although I enjoy my present "digs," I know what’s best for me is to have a home of my own where I don’t have to share my hoomans’ attention with as many other critters. If you’re looking for a mix of craze and love, then I’m the perfect, unpredictable match for you! Arrange to meet me today. I can’t wait to show you my endearing side – between my displays of frenetic energy!

Botero #Fernando

You are here:
ONE OF THE #ARTIST-COLONY LITTER

DOB 7/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Botero, a gorgeous black Maine Coon mix fella with big, gold-globe eyes, a soft, shiny, silky coat, and a big bushy tail. I was named for the Columbian artist Fernando Botero because my tail looks like a paint brush. I’m just chubby and fluffy goodness, through and through. I want to become your best forever friend. Hint: the key to my heart is with Temptation and Churus treats.

I’m one of the six in the #artist-colony litter who were found as orphans on the day we were born with no momma in sight. A Good Samaritan rescued us from an apartment complex and brought us to a nice mom-daughter team, who has lovingly cared for us since we were bottle babies. Vincent #Van-Gogh, Georgia #O’Keeffe, Dali #Salvador, Claude #Monet, Diego #Rivera, and I have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Arrange to meet me today, and bring a pocket full of treats! Although we’re available separately, it’d be the cat’s meow if you’d consider adopting me with one of my siblings. While you’re at work or on vacation, we could be playmates as well as cuddle buddies.

Bucky #forest-bunch

You are here:
VOTED MOST ATHLETIC

DOB 10/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Bucky, a sweet and nurturing black and white tuxedo fella who’s simultaneously an athletic powerhouse. I love to give Foster Meowmy nose kisses and scratchy licks that melt her heart. Plus I’m the most tender little comforter and lover boy that my sisters could ever have. I often curl up to give them soothing licks and gentle cuddles.

If there were a high school yearbook for kittens, I would definitely be voted "Most Athletic." I'm a tuxedo dynamo -- complete with dashing white socks -- who has a flair for the dramatic when it comes to playtime. Expect to witness gravity-defying leaps, lightning-fast zoomies, and kitten chaos that would make a CrossFit coach proud. If it's on the floor, I'm playing soccer with it. If it's hanging, I'm climbing it. If it's quiet . . . well, I have to get beauty rest every once and awhile.

My momma Eve birthed the #forest-bunch (Carolina, Juniper, and me) at the Arden Apartments, which were named after Shakespeare’s mysterious Forest of Arden. Unfortunately an intact male, who wanted to mate with momma Eve, bit Carolina in the neck to get rid of us kittens. Thankfully the onsite maintenance man found us after Carolina was wounded in the attack, and HOPE volunteers stepped up to the plate to get momma Eve and us three kittens in the safe haven of our foster home.

I’m ready now to bring love, joy, and my playful antics to my forever family. I hope they appreciate a tender, big-hearted gymnast who creates a little daily chaos -- because that’s me! Are you ready to fall in love? Arrange to meet me today!

Button #cute-as-a-button

You are here:
PLAYS SO HARD WITH THE MOUSE TOY THAT SHE PANTS

DOB 9/1/20

Hey there, everyone! I earned my name Button because I'm "cute as a button." I'm a sweet, playful tuxedo gal with an adorable stripe down my nose. Foster Meowmy’s lap has become one of my favorite spots because it’s where she dispenses chin scratches, pets, and ear massages. When I’m totally relaxed, I fall asleep to dream about catnip and Churus. I’ve been known to give "sandpaper kisses" with my tongue to show Foster Meowmy how much I love her. Sometimes all I want to do is to hang out with her while she reads, builds a puzzle, or watches TV.

I'm perfectly content to spend the day napping and will greet Foster Meowmy when she comes home from work by winding around her legs to plant my pheromones. I really enjoy mealtime, catnip, and playing with wand toys. I can get so lost in the moment chasing my favorite "Go Cat" mouse toy that I start panting to catch my breath!

I was found as a "spicy" kitten in a neighbor's yard, and because I was scared of people, I stayed outside after I was spayed. I grew up among the neighborhood stray cats, and with time I grew to trust my guardian who fed me. So when I was injured during a cat fight, I decided to come inside and allow Foster Meowmy to treat me in my recovery.

I realized that the pampered indoor life has big advantages, so I'm relieved to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye. For this next phase of life, I'm hoping to find a forever home. Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me today!

Carolina #forest-bunch

You are here:
GLAMOUROUS SUPER MEOW-DEL

DOB 10/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Carolina, a sweet, sassy, and playful black and white tuxedo kitten who’s a natural meow-del because of my striking good looks. I'm always ready for a photo session where I can pose with an enticing head tilt. I enjoy Foster Meowmy’s doting on me, and when I’m feeling especially affectionate, I generously gift her with nose kisses, which is my version of a red-carpet smooch.

When I chase my toys, sparks of my energy light up the room as if I were on the fashion runway. Then after a good play session, I'm all about cuddles. I love snuggling with my siblings as well as my big chunky older foster brother, who’s been known to use me as a very cooperative pillow.

I have an adorable yet permanent head tilt that’s actually part of my rescue story. You see, my momma Eve birthed the #forest-bunch (Bucky, Juniper, and me) at the Arden Apartments, which were named after Shakespeare’s mysterious Forest of Arden. Unfortunately an intact male, who wanted to mate with momma Eve, bit me in the neck to get rid of me and my siblings. Thankfully the onsite maintenance man found me after I was wounded in the attack, and HOPE volunteers stepped up to the plate to get momma Eve and us three kittens in the safe haven of our foster home.

Super meow-del that I am, I’m ready now to grace my forever home with my mysterious, elegant vibes. If you’re looking for a unique little diva with sass, sweetness, and just the right amount of drama, I’m the purrfect gal to keep you on your toes! Arrange to meet me today!

Cash #couch-potato

You are here:
HANDSOME MARBLE SWIRLS ON HIS SIDES

DOB 7/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Cash, a sweet, quiet, shy brown Classic tabby fella who enjoys it when Foster Meowmy picks me up to cuddle me under her chin or when she gives me belly rubs. “Classic” tabby means that I have beautiful marble swirls on the sides of my back. I much prefer that my fur looks like a dappled tortoiseshell than a striped mackerel fish! I’m really quite handsomely marked with a sweet, innocent face, if I do say so myself.

Foster Meowmy rescued me when I strolled up her driveway looking for my next meal. I just knew instinctively that the neighborhood cat lady would take in an orphan kitten with no momma or siblings in sight! And boy howdy! I love my foster home, and I get along great with the other foster kitties. I’m somewhat of a big, lazy boy who enjoys lounging in my round cat bed and slurping Churu treats off Foster Meowmy’s finger. However, I will exert myself because I adore it when she waves the Turkey Flyer wand- toy over my head.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? If you’re looking for a handsome couch potato with the face of a cherub, I’m the boy for you! Arrange to meet me today!

Catalina #sister-of-Purscilla

You are here:
ADVENTUROUS EXPLORER

DOB 4/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Catalina, a very sweet, affectionate, and friendly white little girl with golden eyes. I absolutely love hoomans, and I’m not shy about requesting for them to pet me as well as give me treats. In fact, I’m very vocal and will let Foster Meowmy know when she hasn’t scratched just the right spot on my anatomy.

I may be smaller than my sister, but I’m definitely the braver of the pair! I was the first one to wobble out of our “nest” as well as to venture out of our nursery to explore my world. My favorite activities are playing hide-and-seek, bird-watching, and exploring like Marco Polo did.

My feral momma Clawdia chose to birth my sister Purscilla and me in the safety of the patio of an apartment unit that had been vacant for a long time. Was it a mere coincidence that our future Foster Meowmy moved in one or two days later? She’s quite a cat advocate, so thankfully she scooped up newborn Purscilla and me as well as trapped Momma in order to bring us all inside to safety.

When Meowmy took us to the vet to get vaccinated and spayed, all three of us tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Meowmy assumes that Momma probably contracted FIV from a deep bite wound from an intact male cat and then passed it on to us before we were ever born. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as my dental health is routinely monitored and prompt attention is given to any urinary-tract or upper-respiratory infections.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. If you’re looking for a beautiful yet adventurous pure white kitty, I’m the gal for you! I hope that my being a “special-needs” kitty will not scare you off; in fact, perhaps you’re one of those benevolent souls who actually seeks out a "special" kitty whom others might pass over. All the more reason for me to love you!

Although we’re available separately, Purscilla and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. Two’s more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me [us] today!

Charlie #shed-posse

You are here:
THE ULTIMATE CHILL COMPANION

DOB 8/3/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Charlie, an affectionate, calm, and gentle red tabby fella who is a master of cozy cuddles, quiet moments, and bringing a sense of peace wherever I go. If Foster Meowmy’s lap is not available, I find a patch of sunshine on a window ledge so I can watch kitty TV, a.k.a. follow the squirrels, lizards, and birds as they scamper and fly by.

First my daddy emerged from under a shed in Foster Meowmy’s back yard, so she started feeding him as a stray. Next my momma emerged from under the shed, so she started feeding her too. A few weeks later, Sophie, Max, Tito, and I emerged from under the shed looking for food. When some stray neighborhood dogs bit Daddy pretty badly, Foster Meowmy trapped my whole family. Whereas she took my parents to be fixed, she brought the #shed-posse inside since we ended up being sweet, friendly, and sociable.

Now I’m ready to find my forever family. If you’re looking for a low-key, affectionate friend to share your calm moments, I’m your purr-fect match! ! Arrange to meet me today. Although we're available separately, consider adopting me with Max. We could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you're at work or on vacation.

Clara #dainty-green-eyed-beauty

JOINS IN THE ROUGHHOUSING WITH HER BOYS

DOB 4/14/21

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Clara, a super-sweet, quiet, demure charcoal grey and white tuxedo gal who’s actually the retired momma of the #graffiti-boys litter. I'm a real beauty because I have a sleek, shiny coat that's soft as a bunny's fur, and my big green eyes are mesmerizing!

I’m not a big fan of being picked up, but I love it when Foster Meowmy scratches my chin, cheeks, and chin as well as when she gently caresses my back. I was initially shy when I first arrived in my foster home, but once I got to know and trust Foster Meowmy (thanks to treats and yummy food!), I started relaxing.

Meowmy is very conscious that sudden movements make me nervous, so she makes sure that she moves around me very slowly. You see, I was rescued from an apartment complex as a stray momma cat with my three boys, so my radar always on the alert for danger to protect my babies from predators. Admittedly, it took a while for that mindset to be discarded and for me to wake up to the reality that I was suddenly living in a safe, secure environment of plenty.

Although my three boys, Dondi, Zephyr, and Banksy, were weaned long ago, I can’t resist being the “helicopter momma” who’s always in the background watching out for them. Even though I’m a dainty lass, I even join in their roughhousing from time to time. I become somewhat of a police officer when it comes to the other resident cats and my boys. The fact is – I’ll always love my sons!

Most of the time, I stay out of the way and am as quiet as a mouse. (Who wouldn't be when her sons are such flamboyant characters?) I’m happy to keep to myself and don’t demand a lot of attention from Foster Meowmy, although I luxuriate when she does pet me. Now it’s time for me and my family to find out forever homes. All I ask for is a quiet home with people who know the power of a gentle touch. And it would be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with Banksy.

DOB 7/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Claude #Monet, a handsome blue and cream tabby fella who’s initially shy and reserved when I first meet you. However, since I’m addicted to treats, I soon warm right up to you, and it’s not long before we’re cuddling.

I’m one of the six in the #artist-colony litter who were found as orphans on the day we were born with no momma in sight. A Good Samaritan rescued us from an apartment complex and brought us to a nice mom-daughter team, who has lovingly cared for us since we were bottle babies. Vincent #Van-Gogh, Georgia #O’Keeffe, Botero #Fernando, Dali #Salvador, Diego #Rivera, and I have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Cleopatria & Simba #twinsies

SWEET, SWEET, SWEET

DOB 8/12/24

Meet Simba (Simi) and Cleo (Cli Cli): A Dynamic Duo Looking for a Forever Home!

These two adorable sisters are ready to steal your heart and fill your home with love, laughter, and endless cuddles. They are the perfect pair and would love to be adopted together.

Simba (Simi) is the ultimate chatty companion. With her sweet nature, she’s always ready to engage in a full conversation—just ask her questions, and she’ll answer! Simi enjoys playing with small stuffed animals and is a fierce bug hunter, making sure no pesky insects stick around. She's a total cuddlebug, purring loudly when you carry her or pet her. Meal times are one of her favorite moments, and she’s always excited to share that time with her sister.

Cleo (Cli Cli) is just as sweet, but with a bit of an independent streak. She loves attention but is also an explorer at heart, always climbing and discovering new things. Like her sister, she’s a skilled bug hunter and has no problem getting rid of unwelcome visitors. While she doesn't talk as much, Cleo is always ready to greet you with a friendly "hello" and prefers spending time with her people and her sister over anything else. She’s been around dogs and gets along well with them, but her heart truly belongs to her favorite humans and Simba.

Together, Simi and Cli Cli will bring joy, fun, and plenty of love into your life. They’re looking for a loving family who can appreciate their sweet personalities and their bond as sisters. If you’re looking for a pair of loving and playful kitties to join your home, these two are the perfect match!

ONE OF THE #ARTIST-COLONY LITTER

DOB 7/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Dali, an inquisitive, loving, and gorgeous black Maine Coon mix fella with big, golden-globe eyes, a soft, shiny, silky coat, and a big bushy tail. I was named for the Spanish artist Salvador Dali because I’m a mysterious gent who will gladly join you for afternoon tea and intelligent discussions. I’m a gentle spirit with a curious nature who loves to explore my environment.

I’m one of the six in the #artist-colony litter who were found as orphans on the day we were born with no momma in sight. Hey there, everyone! I’m Diego #Rivera, a handsome brown tabby fella with an innocent, cherubic face who’s initially shy and reserved when I first meet you. However, since I’m addicted to treats, I soon warm right up to you, and it’s not long before I’m cuddling in your lap or snuggling next to your thigh. I also love to play interactively with my Foster Meowmy and the wand toy as well as explore all around the house.

I’m one of the six in the #artist-colony litter who were found as orphans on the day we were born with no momma in sight. Dondi #graffiti-boy

You are here:
STREET URCHIN TO PAMPERED PET

DOB 4/28/23

Have you ever seen a kitten whose body looks like a canvas that a graffiti artist has started splashing with tiny spots of black paint? Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Dondi, a sweet and playful fella who’s pure white except for my black toupee and pale smudges of gray on my shoulders, back, and haunches.

My brothers, Banksy and Zephyr, and I are fascinated by everything in the bathroom.

I’m particularly bonded to Zephyr. We’re always up to some kind of kitten business – exploring, menacing each other, wrestling. When we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle with Banksy and may even nuzzle with our sweet momma Clara.

If you’re looking for hours of entertainment with a handsome fella’s who’s a feast to the eyes, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me today! Foster Meowmy is insisting that I be adopted with Zephyr so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Just think – you can get all your cat-needs met with our little Instacat family.

Dumpling & Dim Sum #bonded-brothers

You are here:
THEY ALWAYS PURR AND MAKE BISCUITS CONTENTEDLY

DOB 3/15/23

Meow! Meow, everyone! We’re Dumpling and Dim Sum, a bonded pair of brown-tabby brothers who are ultra-sweet, friendly, and affectionate. We love to cuddle with our hoomans almost as much as with each other. We’re a happy pair who’s always purring and making biscuits, whether we’re snuggled with each other or having our chins scratched in Foster Meowmy’s lap.

A Good Samaritan found us and dropped us off at PetSmart/Pearland, and thankfully our foster meowmy agreed to welcome us into her home until we can find a fantastic forever home. She’s insisting that we be adopted together because we’re inseparable best friends who love each other very much.

We fit into our foster home beautifully. We enjoy playing with each other as well as when Foster Meowmy interacts with us using a wand toy with enticing hanging balls. We’re also curious and love to explore, so watch those open cabinet and closet doors! We may sneak inside for a peek.

I heard Foster Meowmy tell someone, “It’s been amazing watching Dumpling and Dim Sum grow up into such fine young gentlemen. They’d be a wonderful addition to any family. We hate to see them go, but they deserve a forever home to share their abundant love with their forever owners.” Hope you’re convinced that you should arrange to meet us right away!

Emme #doll-on-the-doormat

You are here:
FUR AS SOFT AS A BUNNY'S

DOB 5/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Emme, a friendly, affectionate, stunningly beautiful “bicolor” gal, which means than I’m mostly white with red tabby on my head, back, and tail. I have unique facial markings, big green eyes, and fur as soft as a bunny’s. I’m quite a lovely package, not to mention that it’s rare for female kitties to be red tabbies.

I like to snuggle next to Foster Meowmy’s thigh rather than on her lap, and I enjoy it when she picks me up for a quick cuddle. I luxuriate when she pets me – whether it’s scratching my cheeks, chin, and ears or rubbing my back and belly. I like to hang out in the same room as Foster Meowmy just to be near her as well as to monitor her activities Although I don’t interfere, if you need a supurr-viser, I'm the gal for you!

My birth momma scoped out the neighborhood and decided that the doormat of Foster Meowmy’s back patio was the perfect spot to bring her litter when we were almost newborns. I’m so grateful that Momma wanted a better life for us than the hardscrabble outdoor life and that Foster Meowmy invited us in. All I can remember is being indoors with Foster Meowmy and her other foster cats, although I haven’t been around dogs or kids. I’m a teenager at heart, so I can entertain myself by playing soccer with my crinkle balls and catnip mice, but I also enjoy roughhousing with the other kitties.

I’m looking for my forever home, so I hope that my sweet innocent expression and big globe eyes have captured your heart. Arrange to meet me today! True confessions: I tend to be shy at the adoption days because they can be busy and chaotic. However, that’s not my true personality when I get back home.

Felix #bonded-to-Squeakers

You are here:
MELLOW AND EASYGOING CUDDLE KING

DOB 4/1/15

Hey there, everyone! I’m Felix, and I’m a very friendly, affectionate, and mellow “bicolor” fella, which means that I’m mostly white with black on my head, “saddleback,” and tail. I’m really quite handsomely marked with a big circular patch of black on my left side. I’m crazy about Foster Meowmy because she coos over me, brushes me, and strokes me gently. I love to snuggle with her every night. I enjoy children because they will play with me. I’m quite the soccer striker in that I like to bat around crinkle balls and catnip mice.

I was living very happily with my “bestie” Squeakers in a home where we were really cherished, but unfortunately our hooman had some financial setbacks in this inflationary economy. When she learned that she was going to be evicted, Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and offered to foster her darlings [us] until HOPE could find us a wonderful new home. Foster Meowmy is insisting that we be adopted together as a bonded pair in an effort to mitigate the upheaval we’ve already experienced.

Although I haven’t been around dogs, I’m an easy-going dude who gets along great with other cats and kids, and with proper introductions, I might do great with pooches too. If you’ve got a medium to quiet home, Squeakers and I are the pair for you. Arrange to meet us today!

Georgia #O'Keeffe

You are here:
ONE OF THE #ARTIST-COLONY LITTER

DOB 7/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Georgia #O'Keeffe, a sweet and sassy tortoiseshell gal who loves playing hide-and-seek with Foster Meowmy, exploring, and running through cat tunnels. After a day of fun activities, I transform into a calm, poised little lady who curls up in Foster Meowmy’s lap. That’s when I turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot.

I’m one of the six in the #artist-colony litter who were found as orphans on the day we were born with no momma in sight. A Good Samaritan rescued us from an apartment complex and brought us to a nice mom-daughter team, who has lovingly cared for us since we were bottle babies. Godzilla #monster-duo

You are here:
GOOFY, SASSY FELLA

DOB 8/24/19

Howdy everyone! I’m Godzilla, a goofy, sassy, curious, and energetic brown tabby fella who’s proud of my monster-name. I may be a big boy like Godzilla, but I’m a sweet marshmallow at heart. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share.

I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids.

During Tropical Storm Imelda, my sister Mothra and I, the #monster-duo, were found as orphan kittens with no momma in sight. My foster mom heard my crying on a driveway, and she says that I’ve continued to let everyone know my opinions ever since. I was the runt of my litter and was bottle-fed by my foster pawrents. Boy did I love my bottle!

Those “nursing” sessions ended up being a great time to bond with my humans and probably explain why I’m so sociable with people. The bottle has now been replaced with cat treats, which have probably contributed to my “plus-size.”

If you’re looking for a friendly feline companion who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

Han #take-charge

You are here:
IT'S MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY!

DOB 4/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Han, a sweet, friendly, outgoing, and playful grey tabby fella who loves everyone – hoomans of all ages, dogs (at least the small ones whom I’ve met), and other kitties. I have the temperament of a natural leader, and small as I am, I like to stay in charge of the situation. That’s why –when I decide that I want to – I get up on the sofa with Foster Meowmy so we can binge on Netflix and Animal Planet together.

Foster Meowmy rescued me from hanging around a dumpster in New Caney. An orphan with no momma or siblings in sight, I was only one month old and living the hardscrabble life at a much-too-young age. Once I arrived to my foster home, I was welcomed by the other cats and little dogs, who have served as my surrogate aunts and uncles and taught me everything my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around.

Although I like it here, I know I need a home of my very own where I’ll have fewer kitties to compete with my hooman’s attention. So now I’m all ready to “graduate” to my forever home. If you like spunky kittens who have leadership qualities, a.k.a. a mind of their own and a take-charge attitude, I’m the dude for you! Arrange to meet me today!

Hercules #strong-man?

You are here:
NEEDS A CONFIDENCE BOOST

DOB 6/24/23

Hercules thinks his foster mom gave him a strong name to boost his confidence and make him more macho. But maybe it back-fired on her, because Hercules is a gentle, non-confrontational soul who enjoys quiet pursuits. He loves lounging on cat trees and napping in quiet corners. Hercules may keep to himself a lot, but he enjoys a warm lap or soft petting. Just being in the company of this laid-back guy would probably lower your blood pressure by 10 points.

Hey there, everyone! I’m Howell, an affectionate, curious, and playful 12-pound gentle giant of a brown tabby with big, soulful, green-globe eyes that allow me to stare into the depth of your soul. I take the cake as far as being an extremely loving and friendly feline companion. I’m one of the rare cats who’s a big fan of being held.

I’m perfectly content to binge on Animal Planet and Netflix with my Foster Dad. I’ll snuggle up next to him and turn on my purr motor as soft white noise while he gently scratches my ears and chin. But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I’m like a nimble football player who, although he’s big and burly, still enjoys capering about with my toys.

I have an interesting backstory. A Good Samaritan assumed that I was feral when she trapped me as a new stray in her colony of community cats. However, during my neuter-surgery recovery, she discovered that I was friendly and therefore probably had been someone’s pet who had wandered away from home in search of love in all the wrong places. I was still intact, so I thought I was quite a Lothario. She later discovered that I had a hole in my soft palate. She reached out to some friends, and with the help of a Houston Pet Set grant, she was able to get me the surgery I needed to fix my palate. Now I’m all fixed up and feel just dandy!

That means that I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? I’m absolutely wonderful as cats go, if I do say so myself. So I’m an excellent candidate if you’re looking to adopt an affectionate cat who’s like a big, huggable teddy bear. Arrange to meet me today! By the way, because I’m a bit of an alpha cat, I’d probably do best in a home either as a solo or with submissive other cats.

EASY-GOING LOVEBUG

DOB 9/1/21

Howdy everyone! I’m Indy, a handsome, easy-going black DSH/Bombay mix dude with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. It took me a while to learn that being petted, chin scratches, and lap time with my foster dad might just be a good thing. My momma Luna led the way, so I started curling up on my foster dad’s warm chest for a quick power nap and discovered that it was pretty delightful.

My favorite pastimes include following my foster dad into the bathroom (Bombay mixes can be very dog-like), looking handsome, and watching the world go by as I bask in a patch of sunshine on a windowsill. My favorite likes are dry food, toys with tassels, and warm beds.  Arrange to meet me today. Find out if YOUR chest could be my next napping station!

CHARISMATIC AND SPIRITED

DOB 5/7/23

Are you longing for a furry friend who's as full of energy as affection? Meet me, charismatic and spirited Jason Todd, who's ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless cuddles into your life. I’m a kitty who's always ready to embark on new and thrilling experiences. Beyond my adventurous demeanor, I have a softer side that adores cuddles and quality time with Foster Meowmy. What's a love of exploration if I have no one to share it with? I’m always there for her in an instant, ready to provide comfort after a long day.

Named after the third Robin in the comic-book series Batman, I’m known for my outgoing personality and heart of gold. My energy knows no bounds! I’m a whirlwind of fun and games that’s always ready to chase after toys, pounce on imaginary prey, and keep Foster Meowmy entertained with my boundless enthusiasm.

I’m a black DSH/Bombay mix fella with expressive gold eyes and sprinkles of salt mixed in my black fur. I’m an instant head-turner, if I do say so myself. My gorgeous appearance is matched only by my captivating personality, which adds up to my being a kitten few will be able to resist.

My stray momma birthed my four Batman siblings and me at an apartment complex in Cypress, and thankfully we came to Foster Meowmy’s home for her to give us a chance at an enriched indoor life. Now I’m ready to find my forever home where I can be Johnny-on-the-spot to comfort my hooman after a long day. Perhaps my next adventure is with you!

Jax #3-mousketeers

You are here:
CUTE HALF-MOUSTACHE ON LEFT LIP

DOB 1/11/23

Hey everyone! I’m Jax, a very sweet, shy, and gorgeous – if I do say so myself – 11-pound mitted gray tabby fella with white encircling my neck and embellishing my chest.  Do you like my cute brown half-moustache on my left lip? I love Foster Meowmy’s gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches. She’s learned not to pet me too fast or roughly so that I won’t get scared. When she tickles my belly, I give her well-meaning love-bites. Since they sometimes hurt, she’s learned to focus her petting attention on my ears, chin, and cheeks.

My brothers Jerry, Tomm, and I, a.k.a. #3-mousketeers, were less than a year old when we showed up as homeless strays in Foster Meowmy’s neighborhood. Initially she trapped, neutered, and released us. After about a year of feeding us, when her last foster kitten had been adopted, she decided that, with a little time and patience, we’d make wonderful indoor companion pets. It did take a while for her to earn my trust, but once I realized how much she loved me (thanks to treat rewards!), I’m now all hers!! Boy howdy! With 20-20 hindsight, I much prefer brimming food/water bowls as well as my climate-controlled indoor foster home! It’s like an oasis from battling Houston’s derechos, hurricanes, and winter storms. The hardscrabble outdoor life is for the birds!

I have some catching-up to do as a young adult fella because exploring life indoors is an all-new adventure for me! After I started feeling more comfortable over the next few weeks, I started settling in. A routine of toys and treats was a delightful discovery! I’m confident that, once I figure out any new environment, I’ll feel relaxed and secure.  Although we’re available separately, please consider adopting me with Tomm. I’m shy and initially fearful, but, as my BFF, Tomm helps make me feel safe. Arrange to meet me (and Tomm, for that matter!) today! I can’t wait to meet you!

Juniper #forest-bunch

HAS A QUIRKY, RASPY MEOW LIKE BOB DYLAN

DOB 10/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Juniper, a tuxedoed starlet with white socks and a quirky, raspy little meow that sounds like Bob Dylan after a nap. I’m a curious girl who’s not only smart but also cautious. New sights and sounds make me hesitate at first, but offer me a gentle pet, and you’ll see the transformation -- my bright eyes soften with trust and appreciation, and I lean in to soak it all up, as if I’d been waiting my whole life for that moment. I’ve got a flair for the dramatic as I zoom, pounce, and chase toys like a one-cat circus. I’ll keep you entertained, that’s for sure!

My momma Eve birthed the #forest-bunch (Bucky, Carolina, and me) at the Arden Apartments, which were named after Shakespeare’s mysterious Forest of Arden. Unfortunately an intact male, who wanted to mate with momma Eve, bit Carolina in the neck to get rid of us kittens. Thankfully the onsite maintenance man found Carolina after she was wounded in the attack, and HOPE volunteers stepped up to the plate to get momma Eve and us three kittens in the safe haven of our foster home.

Since I was found at a forest-themed apartment complex, Foster Meowmy decided to name me after the juniper tree, a symbol of strength, survival, and deep roots. I have to agree that I’m a living testament to resiliency. I’m ready now to blossom in my forever home where someone will patiently allow me to adjust to all the new sights and sounds. I realize how lucky I am to be in foster care and how lucky you’d be to have a wonder like me in your life. Are you ready to let this little juniper tree take root in your heart? Arrange to meet me today!

LOVES TO SPREAD HER PHERONOMES

DOB 5/4/23

Hi there! I’m Juniper, a cute, crafty, and clever brown tabby “ninja” gal who got my name because I’m a little “Junior” who looks like my dad. I’m initially shy with people, but once I warm up, I love to cuddle and to rub my pheromones on everyone!

Foster Meowmy found Momma and my #spring-shower-litter in her yard one stormy spring day. My brother Ollie as well as my sisters, Minnie, Spotty, and Angel, and I were just a few weeks old, so thank heavens Meowmy brought us safely inside to join the friendly resident cats. My foster home is calm and quiet without kids, but I have quite a rambunctious streak in me, so I’m open to a home with kids. I fit in well with the other kitties, but I'm apprehensive about the elderly Maltipoo.

Now I’m ready to find the forever home that I was promised, and if you’re looking for a shy but sweet “June bug,” I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today! Let's write new chapters in our lives together. Please consider adopting me with Juniper so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Kali Kat #tiny-tempest

SO UNIQUE

DOB 9/1/24

Meet Kali Kat: The Tiny Tempest with a Tender Side

Forged in frost and rescued from the chaos of a Texas freeze, Kali Kat emerged like a mythical creature—equal parts fire and ice. With her enchanting cali-tabby coat and the soul of a tiny lioness, Kali was discovered mid-meow, summoning the universe for rescue with the vocal prowess of an opera diva. Now safe and warm, Kali rules her domain with a velvet paw and a sharp gaze. Her love for humans is legendary—chin scratches? Bliss. Ear rubs? Nirvana. She’ll melt into your hand like butter on toast… until another feline dares cross her path without proper clearance.

Kali's social circle is exclusive, darling. She’s not here for your average kitty drama. She prefers quality over quantity in her furry friendships, and she’s not afraid to flash her adorably ferocious "angry face" to keep the riffraff inline.Affectionate, expressive, and just the right amount of spicy—Kali Kat is not your average housecat. She’s an experience. A vibe. A legend in the making.

HER SILLY ANTICS WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH

DOB 6/15/23

Hey there, everyone! I'm Kira, a sweet, friendly, and affectionate brown tabby gal who’s full of life and whose silly antics make Foster Meowmy laugh. I greet her with a purr or a playful swat and enjoy cuddling with her when the mood strikes. I’m her mellow, loyal companion who’s content to simply be at her side.

I’m a bold, curious, brave girl who’s not afraid of new experiences, investigating new sounds and smells, or exploring every nook and cranny. I learn things quickly and solve treat puzzles in no time. I’m gentle too in that I never misuse my claws when I’m playing. Foster Meowmy rescued me as a teenager in her neighborhood. I fit in beautifully with the #spunky-four litter when they arrived in my foster home.

So why should you adopt me? Because I'm a bundle of joy, ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and companionship. I promise that with me by your side, life will never be dull. Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with one the #spunky-four litter so we can keep each other company when you’re at work or on vacation.

Koko #laser-enthusiast

You are here:
CUDDLING'S IN HIS GENES

DOB 6/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Koko, a sweet, friendly, affectionate, and playful medium/short-haired "bicolor" fella, which means that I’m mostly white with black on my head, back, and tail. I love for Foster Meowmy to hold me in her arms, and I snuggle with her in bed. Cuddling is just in my genes. I also adore interactive play with Foster Meowmy when she bounces the laser light all around the room. I love to be her little helper when she makes her bed and puts her groceries away. Also, I’m her green-thumb gardener – or at least I wish I were one of the flowers.

When I was about 7 weeks old, a nice couple rescued me when a dog was chasing me in their neighbor’s yard. From the first time that they picked me up, I was the perfect cuddly boy who wasn’t scared of them one bit. My rescuers couldn’t keep me, but fortunately Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and agreed to foster me until I could be adopted. Since I was scooped up as an orphan with no siblings or momma in sight, the resident cats in my foster home have been my surrogate parents and taught me all the manners that my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around.

Now that I’m adjusted to my foster home, I “pay it forward” and become the surrogate big brother for the new orphaned kittens who arrive. Foster Meowmy says that I’m an excellent baby-kitten-sitter, although I don’t think I charge her enough for my services.   Now I’m ready for my forever home! If you’re looking for a laser enthusiast with a penchant for cuddling, I’m the boy for you! Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

Kramer #Seinfeld-crew

You are here:
A VERY ZEN KITTY

DOB 9/30/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Kramer, and I’m a very Zen red tabby fella because I’m calm, tranquil, unperturbed, and accepting. I love for Foster Meowmy to hold me, and I snuggle next to her while we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. I’m quiet, even-tempered, and – as Foster Meowmy says – “the absolute sweetest.”

I get along great with all the 2-legged and 4-legged critters in my world – men, women, kids, small dogs, and my brothers. I enjoy playing with any cat toy, and admittedly I’m a great soccer striker with jingle balls. When I’m ready to relax, I enjoy a nice nap on Foster Meowmy’s bed with her or my brother Larry.

My momma Ariel and the #Seinfeld crew (my brothers, George and Larry, and me) were found in west Houston and surrendered to a vet, who contacted HOPE about finding us all homes. Thank heavens Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and brought us to her loving home. I’m the guy who holds my brothers together because I’m so nurturing and accepting. I’m especially bonded to shy baby Larry because he needs my encouragement.

Now it’s time for me to find my forever home where I just know more love awaits. Could that be with you? If you’re looking for a well-adjusted, cuddly red tabby fella who’s “chill” in spades, I’m the dude for you! Arrange to meet me today, and I can’t wait for you to hold me! Although we're available separately, consider adopting me with Larry. We think it'd be the cat's meow if we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you're at work or on vacation.

THE BABY OF THE LITTER

DOB 9/30/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Larry, and I’m a super-sweet albeit rather shy red tabby fella who’s the baby of my litter, the #Seinfeld crew. I’m a happy cat who loves for Foster Meowmy to pick me up, and then I snuggle next to her while we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. I turn on my purr motor when she softly scratches my ears, chin, and cheeks. I get along with all the 2-legged and 4-legged critters in my world – men, women, kids, small dogs, and the resident cats. I enjoy playing with the spinning cat toy, and admittedly I’m a great soccer striker with jingle balls. When I’m ready to relax, I enjoy a nice nap on Foster Meowmy’s bed with her or Kramer.

My momma Ariel and the #Seinfeld crew (my brothers, George and Kramer, and me) were found in west Houston and surrendered to a vet, who contacted HOPE about finding us all homes. Thank heavens Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and brought us to her loving home. I’m especially bonded to Kramer because I depend on him for encouragement.

Now it’s time for me to find my forever home where I just know more love awaits. Could that be with you? If you’re looking for an affectionate, easygoing, and cuddly red tabby fella who wants to be your baby, I’m the dude for you! Arrange to meet me today, and I can’t wait for you to pick me up and hold me! TURNS ON HIS PURR MOTOR WITH JUST A TOUCH

DOB 9/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Liam, a really sweet, fun-loving, handsomely-marked silver Classic tabby fella who turns on my purr motor the second that I’m touched. And it’s loud too! I have black tabby stripes that form marbled swirls on my sides. And you should see the adorable leopard spots on my tummy! But my effervescent purrsonality outshines even my good looks! I’m such a happy boy that I keep Foster Meowmy entertained all day long with my shenanigans.

I was only three weeks old when a Good Samaritan found me in her back yard. I was plaintively meowing for my momma because she and my siblings were nowhere in sight. Fortunately I was scooped up and taken into a foster home where my best friends became an adult cat and a big dog. I’m so resilient and independent that I latched onto my foster family, hooman and otherwise, without skipping a beat.

Talk about fun – I constantly wrestle with the Freddy the dog and Tommy the cat. After I’ve tuckered them out, I entertain myself with the tiered tower of balls as well as playing soccer with my jingle balls and catnip mice. When I’m finally exhausted, I may climb aboard the cat or dog for a cat nap, although sometimes I like to get a longer snooze at the top of the cat tree.

I’m ready now to bring as much happiness to my forever family as I’ve brought to Foster Meowmy. Could that be you? If you’re looking for a fun kid to have around who happens to be a real show-stopper in the looks department, I’m the fella for you! Arrange to meet me today! Touch me, and I’ll turn on my roaring purr motor so you can guess for yourself its decibels!

Liam #wooly-wonder

You are here:
MEOW SOUNDS LIKE BALLOON RUNNING OUT OF AIR

DOB 11/1/18

Hey there, everyone! I’m Liam, a very friendly, ultra-easygoing Chartreux/British Shorthair mix fella who loves to spend time with my hoomans – either sleeping snuggled next to them or relaxing with them as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. I love to be petted, especially when my hoomans scratch my ears, chin, and cheeks. I’m so laid-back that I’ve had to learn to get out of people’s path as they walk by.

Who knows what my DNA ancestry would reveal, but I have the gold eyes shared by both the Chartreux and BSH. However I have the more tapered muzzle of the Chartreux, compared to the BSH’s abbreviated one. In fact, because my round head tapers at the bottom, it looks like I’m always smiling!

Foster Meowmy says that my meow sounds like a balloon running out of air, and the Chartreux's surprisingly tiny voice is well recognized. My plush fur is medium-short and slightly wooly in texture. It is oh-so-soft and lush to the touch. Although at first glance I appear to be solid gray, I have pale shadows of tabby-stripes that show through in my coat.

Foster Meowmy is the neighborhood “cat lady,” and she finds all the strays if they don’t find her doorstep first. When she found me, I had a rather nasty wound where I’d been bitten above my eye. Thank heavens she decided to bring me inside and take me to the vet for medications so that my wound would heal properly. While I was there, she made sure that I was fixed to stop my lothario wanderings as an intact male. It wasn't until she brought me home for recovery from my surgery that she realized that I was probably someone’s very loving but abandoned pet whom they’d never bothered to neuter.

I’m very demure and polite, so I get along with all the resident cats. When the curmudgeons get grumpy, I just steer clear of them because I avoid conflict. I’m even learning to play interactively with Foster Meowmy as well as to entertain myself with the tower of balls and catnip mice, which are luxuries that I never had the opportunity to enjoy while I was living the hardscrabble life of a street stray.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be with you? If you’re looking for a handsome, debonair gent who’s well past kitten mayhem and who won’t cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured heirlooms, I’m the man for you! Arrange to meet me today so you can enjoy running your fingers through my plush coat. Let’s truly be fur-ever friends!

Lilly #mini-panther

You are here:
COMES RUNNING WHEN SHE HEARS HER NAME CALLED

DOB 9/10/17

Hey there, everyone! I’m Lilly a sweet, friendly Bombay mix gal, a mini-panther with big amber eyes, who comes running when Foster Meowmy calls my name! That’s because I know what’s in store -- either petting or yummy treats. Foster Meowmy knows just how to scratch the top of my head, ears, chin, and cheeks so that I’m in ecstatic bliss. However, like most kitties, I’m not a big fan of being picked up and held. I’m great with most people, dogs, and other cats, although, when necessary, I’m independent enough to keep to myself and not be too “needy.”

When I was barely more than a kitten myself, I ran into future Foster Meowmy’s apartment one rainy day, hid under her bed, and gave birth to four kittens a few hours later. When Foster Meowmy got me fully vetted, she discovered that I was positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+), which I probably contracted from the deep bite wound from another cat.

Now that HOPE has a few pet-store partners who allow FIV+ kitties to come to adoption events, Foster Meowmy hopes that I can find my forever home. Since I get along with most two-legged and four-legged critters, there are lots of homes where I’d fit like a glove. Since I’d been used to (and loved!) being outside before I met Foster Meowmy, I’ve never been a big fan of being indoors. It would be great if I could find a home with a screened window or “catio” where I could feel close to the outdoors while still remaining safe and sound.  Arrange to meet me today! Let’s write new chapters in our lives together!

DOB 3/5/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Lipstick, a beautiful, sweet, and cherub-faced brown tabby gal who was born with my left back leg’s not developing past my elbow. No worries! I don’t let being a tripod stop me one bit! I scamper around like any normal kitten.

I’m a little on the timid side, so you might think I was aloof when you first meet me; however, once I get to know you, I’m an absolute cuddle bug. I adapt to new hoomans and situations smoothly but definitely at my own pace.

I inherited my sweet demeanor from my feline momma Bonita, who was found in Alief as a pregnant teenager. Fortunately she was rescued in time to deliver my litter of three in the safety of foster care. I’ve been handled by Foster Meowmy since I was one day old, which explains why I’m so trusting of hoomans. My favorite thing to do is play the coquette by looking dainty and adorable as I lounge in the comfiest chair in the room and observe everything happening around me.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. It would be great if my new home has kids, dogs, and other cats, as long as the four-legged critters and I are slowly introduced. What’d be the cat’s meow is if I could be adopted with my sister Pawdrey Hepburn so I could explore my surroundings with plenty of confidence. Two’s better than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! I promise to cover your heart with my tiny paw prints!

Little Bobbie #bestie-of-Tango

You are here:
RESCUED AS TINY ORPHAN, COVERED IN LEAVES & STICKS

DOB 4/7/22

Hello everyone! I’m Little Bobbie, and I’m an adorable, petite dilute gray tabby with white mittens and locket. Don’t you love my sweet, angelic face? I was a two-week-old orphan, covered in leaves and sticks, when I was rescued from a field. Neighbors had witnessed dogs chasing away my momma; alas, she never re-appeared. Several cat lovers took me inside and bottle-fed me along with several other bottle-babies who were my same age.

I have so much fun playing with my surrogate siblings. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re exhausted from all the fun, we collapse in a kitten puddle. The three resident cats have acted as my surrogate aunts and uncles who have taught me everything my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. I also get along great with the two big dogs in my foster home, so there are a lot of households where I would fit like a glove.

Although we’re available separately, my foster mate Tango and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we were adopted together. That way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

Little George #wooly-chevalier

You are here:
STREET SURVIVOR WITH A HEART OF GOLD

DOB 12/23/18

Hey there, everyone! I’m Little George, a dashing 12-pound Chartreux mix gent with a cheerful demeanor that greets everyone I meet with a soft, rumbling purr and an enthusiastic nuzzle. My plush fur is medium-short and slightly wooly in texture like a purebred Chartreux, although a DNA test would probably prove otherwise. The first time that you pet me will be nothing short of magical because my velvety fur will feel like fluffy silk beneath your fingers. Characteristic to this rare breed, I’m a little “meow-whisperer” – when I’m hungry and try to meow, it sounds like a baby. Yes, the fella with the big round head, golden-globe eyes, and burly body has a surprisingly tiny voice!

For about three years, I was the mysterious, silver-coated guardian of my future foster pawrents’ street. I’d cautiously watch them from a distance with wary but curious eyes. They never missed an opportunity to leave me a plate of food, which I eagerly gobbled down. Slowly, day by day, I began to trust them. My brave heart led me closer and closer -- until one chilly evening, I stepped into the warmth of the emergency feral-cat house they’d set up for me. Ah —this was my very first taste of what it means to have a home.

It wasn’t long before they trapped, neutered, and released me. They had hoped that my testosterone levels would diminish and that my adventurous spirit might settle down, but, much to their dismay, I vanished for several days. Being the brave and loyal Ramblin’ Man that I am, I couldn’t resist defending my turf. So when I returned, they noticed a small, deep bite wound behind my ear. They rushed me to the vet, where I amazed everyone with my charm. While most cats would hide or squirm, I soaked up every moment of attention as I purred happily through exams and vaccinations. It was there we all learned that I’m  FIV+, but you’d never guess it from my confidence nonchalance.

With cold weather setting in, they realized that I deserved so much more than a life of braving the elements. Since bringing me inside, I’ve become Foster Meowmy’s constant companion in the guest room. While I’m cautious of new things, like big, soft, warm blankets, I’m completely unfazed by loud noises like vacuum cleaners. Since I've endured the chaos of lawnmowers, passing cars, and street life, a little hum doesn’t ruffle my fur! Whereas I hissed the first time Foster Meowmy picked me up, it wasn’t long before I let her bathe me, clean my ears, and dry me off without so much as a fuss. My trust in her, although earned slowly, is unshakable.

She recently whispered in my ear that she’d adopt me if she didn’t already have two cats with health issues and one cat who feels like he needs to protect his territory. I must admit that I want more in life than being confined to the guest room. I’m ready for a home where I’m someone’s "beginning and end." I dream of a family where every cuddle, purr, and curious head tilt is met with undivided love and attention. While initially I may be a little cautious of big changes, with patience and kindness, I promise to reward you with unending devotion and affection. You might even find me pressing my head against your chest, purring like a small, contented engine—just as I did with the vet

If you’re searching for a companion to fill your home with warmth, gratitude, and endless love, I’m waiting to meet you. Sometimes the most extraordinary souls are wrapped in soft, silver-gray fur and come with a heart full of hope. Arrange to meet me today!

By the way,  I probably contracted FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) from the deep bite wound from another cat.

FOUND AS A JOBSITE STRAY KITTEN

DOB 8/26/22

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Lollis, a delightful torbie gal who has quite a heartwarming rescue story. (“Torbie” means that I’m a brown tabby with patches of peach that makes me look like I was splashed with caramel in a candy factory.) I was a stray orphan kitten fending for myself when future foster meowmy spotted me at her jobsite. It didn’t take me long to decide that she was meant to be my savior. I ran to her, and she scooped me up. I cuddled in her lap to make the unforgettable journey to my foster home, and we’ve been bonded ever since.

Once in my foster home, I was overjoyed to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye! Boy howdy! Brimming food and water bowls, climate control, and safety from predators all spelled security and happiness to me. I get along great with the other cats and resident dogs. I have a playful and independent spirit, which makes me a perfect companion for kids. Although I usually maintain my freedom, there are those rare, cherished moments when I need a little snuggle and will seek cuddles from my hoomans.

Yes, I chose Foster Meowmy, and now it’s time for you to choose me to be your next feline companion. I want to become an integral part of your life and make every day an adventure worth sharing. Arrange to meet me today, and let’s form a bond that's unbreakable!

Lorena #the-czarina

You are here:
LOVES TO BE PETTED

DOB 4/7/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Lorena the czarina, a sweet, calm mostly-gray dilute tortoiseshell gal who snuggles up next to my pawrents in bed. I covet quiet moments like bedtime because there are no loud noises to "spook" me. I absolutely exult when I'm  petted, although I’m not a fan of being picked up. You see, Foster Meowmy rescued me as a friendly stray who showed up at her feeding station with the other neighborhood community cats.

Initially I was shy when Foster Meowmy brought me indoors, but the friendliness of the other cats, dogs, and hoomans, including well-behaved kids, boosted my trust and made me feel comfy enough to relax. Although I like to cuddle with my pawrents and the other kitties as well as hang out with the dogs, I’m independent enough to enjoy my solitary moments. I may bask in a sunbeam as I sleep by the window, and when I do awaken, I’m grateful to be safe inside to watch the lizards, squirrels, and birds scamper and fly by me.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. I’d be perfectly content to be your solo kitty or a nonchalant addition to your furry family. So arrange to meet me today! Let’s write new chapters in our lives together.

Magic #smoke-tuxedo

LOVES TO LICK HANDS AND FEET

DOB 8/16/22

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Magic, a very quiet, gentle, and sweet gal who’s very uniquely colored because I’m what’s called a “smoke tuxedo.” This means that I’ve got the usual tuxedo markings of a white bib, chin, mittens, and belly, but my black fur has white roots, which can only be seen when my hair follicles are parted. I’m a princess who’s ravishingly beautiful, if I do say so myself. Plus I’ve got an adorable penchant for licking people’s hands and feet, and I love to nap in the sun.

My momma was heavily pregnant outside a country Dollar Store in the middle of nowhere when she was rescued by a HOPE volunteer. Just in the nick of time because my litter was born a few days after momma arrived in our foster home! My brother Max and I were adopted as kittens through HOPE, but unfortunately our family returned us through no fault of our own. So here I am an beautiful, adorable adult kitty who needs a new home.

Sometimes I can be a little quiet and shy because I’ve been a bit disrupted by being juggled among several homes. I’d do best if I were adopted into a quiet home without dogs, other cats, or young children. Arrange to meet me today! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a girl like me who's past the stage of kitten mayhem. I'm much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories.

Max #shed-posse

KEEPS LIFE FUN AND LIVELY

DOB 8/3/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Max, an affectionate, outgoing, and laid-back red tabby fella who’s always on the move. I’m a high-energy adventurer who loves to explore, play, and turn every moment into an exciting game. I’m quite the soccer striker with my plastic spring toys and glitter pom-poms. You should see me scale to the top of the cat tree and zoom around the house. Of course I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings. When I’ve worn myself out with my boisterous antics, I love snuggling with Foster Meowmy in bed or perhaps with one of my siblings, a.k.a. #shed-posse, in a kitten puddle.

First my daddy emerged from under a shed in Foster Meowmy’s back yard, so she started feeding him as a stray. Next my momma emerged from under the shed, so she started feeding her too. A few weeks later, Charlie, Sophie, Tito, and I emerged from under the shed looking for food. When some stray neighborhood dogs bit Daddy pretty badly, Foster Meowmy trapped my whole family. Whereas she took my parents to be fixed and released them, she brought the #shed-posse inside to safety since we ended up being sweet, friendly, and sociable.

Now I’m ready to find my forever family. If you’re looking for a playful, high-spirited companion to bring excitement to your days, I’d fit like a glove with your family. Arrange to meet me today. Although we're available separately, consider adopting me with my brother Charlie. We could have a playmate and cuddle buddy while you're at work or on vacation.

Mikey #he-eats-anything

You are here:
LOVES TO CUDDLE, PLAY, AND ENTERTAIN

DOB 5/18/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Mikey, a sweet, friendly, curious, playful, and entertaining “bicolor,” which means that I'm mostly white with grey tabby on my head, back, and tail. I got my name from a 1972 Quaker Oaks “Mikey Likes It” commercial of a toddler who would “eat anything.” That’s me, and I’m not ashamed at all! There are cats starving in China, so no food should be tossed out!

You see, my family moved out of their apartment and left me behind to fend for myself outside. I’m a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, so I made the best of my situation. I enjoyed climbing trees, chasing squirrels, and following folks when they walked their dogs. I assumed that an open apartment door was an invitation for me to mosey on in, and everyone adored me. Only problem was, nobody wanted to adopt a stray cat, which is what I really wanted. So “I ate anything” until my future foster meowmy decided that she wanted to foster me until she could find me my forever home with a family who’d never abandon me again.

Here I am in my foster home, happy as a lark with the other kitties. I love to cuddle beside Foster Meowmy as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet, and when she heads for bed, I curl up at her feet. And boy howdy! I love to entertain my hoomans when we interactively play with feather wand-toys and laser pointers as well as when I play soccer with my crinkle balls and catnip mice. I’d be a great kids’ playmate as long as they knew that I don’t like to be picked up.

Arrange to meet me today! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a kitty like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories.

Mimosa #marble-swirls

You are here:
PRETTY AS A MIMOSA BLOSSOM

DOB 5/16/23

If you like the “high” you get from a Sunday-brunch mimosa, I’m the kitty for you! Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Mimosa, and I got my name because I’m such a sweet, amazing, friendly, and affectionate “feel-good” Classic-tabby bicolor kitten. "Classic tabby" means that I have marble swirls on my sides instead of the usual mackerel stripes. "Bicolor" means that I’m mostly white with brown tabby on my head, back, and tail. I also was named Mimosa because I'm as pretty as the tree's cotton-candy-like blooms. I'm really a stunning sight for sore eyes, if I do say so myself!

I love attention, and I’m one of the few kitties who actually likes to be picked up by Foster Meowmy. At bedtime, I love scampering under the covers and then settling down to snuggle next to Foster Meowmy for the rest of the night.

I was crying for food when Foster Meowmy opened her front door one morning. She has a reputation for being a tenderhearted “cat lady,” so most likely I was dumped by a neighbor who had found me. Of course she brought me inside, where I fit in seamlessly with her other cats and small dogs.

The adult cats have ended up being my surrogate mommas who’ve taught me everything that my momma would’ve taught me if she were here. I also enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with the older foster kittens. I’m very nimble at scurrying after the red-laser dot when Foster Meowmy bounces it around the room.

Now I’m ready for my forever home, which can have other friendly pets. Arrange to meet me today! If you take me home, next Sunday brunch you can have a Mimosa on me to celebrate!

Minnie Moo #love-machine

You are here:
HEART-SHAPED BLACK NOSE-TIP

DOB 4/25/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Minnie Moo, a sweet, cuddly, and affectionate "bicolor" gal, which means that I'm mostly white with black on my head, sides, and tail. I have an adorable heart-shaped black nose-tip and the clearest, most wondrously green eyes you’ll ever seen. I got my unusual moniker because of my Holstein-cow coloration and my petite "mini" size. I have a way of bringing joy to the otherwise ordinary moments that I share with my Foster Meowmy. With a moo here and a meow there, we visit about our day. Okay, I admit it. I don’t moo. I squeak my approval when I plop down to soak up her attention and luxuriate with carefree abandon during our petting sessions.

You’d never know by the way I love Foster Meowmy that hoomans had ever broken my heart by abandoning me! You see, I once belonged to a family who cared enough about me to have me spayed and microchipped. Unfortunately, when they moved out of their apartment, they left me behind to fend for myself and fight off unwanted attention from both cats and dogs.

With almost doglike loyalty, for over a year I waited at that apartment doorstep because I clung to the hope that they’d come back. I longed for the day when they’d open that door so I could feel loved as well as safe inside again. I relied on the maintenance manager to feed me randomly as well as for residents to reach down occasionally and give me the attention that I crave.

Those unstable days ended when my HOPE foster meowmy brought me to the safe haven of her home. I was a bit shy at first, but once she earned my trust, I transformed into a loving companion who has absolutely stolen her heart. Her showering me with patience and loving affection has reestablished my infinite and unwavering devotion to hoomans.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home where abundant love awaits me. Could that be with your family? True confessions, I’m still a bit wary of other animals because of my year of defending myself from predators. If you’re looking for a cuddly cow-cat, I’m the mini-love-machine you’ve always needed. Arrange to meet me today!

Missy Longstocking #docile-lapcat

You are here:
THE MARVELOUS MISS STOCKING

DOB 4/15/22

Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m very, very sweet, friendly, and curious Missy Longstocking, a sleek, elegant harlequin gal with big jade-globe eyes and who’s mostly white with large patches of dark gray. Foster Meowmy named me “Longstocking” because I’m tall with graceful legs that look to be wearing gray stockings. Meowmy is amazed that I don’t have one ounce of “catitiude,” and I heard her exclaiming that I’m the most docile cat she’s ever met.

Although I’m not a big fan of being picked up, I happily curl up in Foster Meowmy’s lap and turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot. We then enjoy prime-time together as she gently brushes me or offers me squeezable treats. But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I adore interactive play as Foster Meowmy waves the fishing-wand toy over my head because I can show off my acrobatic prowess as I lunge and pounce on my “prey.”

I have quite a dangerous backstory. A Good Samaritan was driving down Beltway 8 when she spotted me, partially inside a bag, as I huddled in the median. Thank heavens that she’s not scared of much, so she pulled over and quickly grabbed me as cars whizzed by. When we got home, she saw that I was a little bruised, nicked, and scraped as well as very traumatized but overall healthy and uninjured.

I tolerate the other cats in my foster home, but I definitely don’t love them. I haven’t been around kids, but I was fine around a small, polite dog. Since I’m friendly and well-adjusted, I might be very compatible with well-behaved children and cat-friendly dogs.

If you’re searching for a beautifully marked lady-long-legs who looks like a thoroughbred racehorse, I’m your gal! Arrange to meet me so we can exchange warm cuddles and you can guess the decibels on my purr motor. Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a young kitty like me who's past the mayhem of kitten craziness. I'll cause less chaos in your home and not be as likely to break your treasured accessories.

Molly #snugglicious

LOVES TO BE PETTED

DOB 1/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Molly, a sweet, friendly, and gentle “bicolor” gal, which means that I’m mostly white with brown tabby on my head, back, and tail. I luxuriate in any attention that Foster Meowmy wants to lavish on me – especially when she gives my ears, cheeks, or chin a good, loving scritch.

A Good Samaritan found me wandering around her neighborhood for quite a while, and thank heavens she rescued me before Winter Storm Enzo blew into town with its snow and freezing temperatures. When I arrived at my foster home, I warmed up immediately to my hoomans and the resident dogs. Snuggling with Foster Meowmy is my favorite pastime, and I do fine with kids. However, since I’d had to fend for myself as a stray, I’m not very sociable with the resident cats and prefer to keep to myself.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home! If you’re looking for a kitty who will love you unconditionally and be a wonderful cuddling companion, you’ll hit the jackpot when you adopt me. I’m the total package, so arrange to meet me today! By the way, adopting a loving kitty who’s past the stage of kitten frenzy has its advantages. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your favorite accessories.

DOB 6/1/24

Meow Meow everyone! I’m Mona, a sweet, gentle, affectionate, and regally beautiful tuxedo gal with a sleek black coat, white toe-tips, chest, and boots. Foster Meowmy is my sun and moon, and our quiet times together are my favorite parts of my day. It doesn’t matter if she’s gently giving my ears, chin, and cheeks affectionate scritches or if we’re binging together on Netflix and Animal Planet. I just bask in her one-on-one attention and companionship.

She calls me a queen bee because I don’t like to share Foster Meowmy with the other resident cats. Yes, I make it clear that I want them to give us space so that she can focus on me. When I’m alone, I like to sunbathe in a patch of sunshine, snooze on the cat tower, or play soccer with fuzzy balls.

With no momma or siblings in sight, I was a seven-month-old stray kitten who was living in Foster Meowmy’s apartment complex. Because I’d had to fend for myself, I'd never trusted hoomans. Fortunately future Foster Meowmy knew that “the way to my heart was through my stomach.” One day she left food out for me and waited patiently for me to respond. I hesitated but eventually let my guard down and chowed down. That was it – it took all the trust I could muster, but I let her scoop me up and bring me inside. Initially I was very timid and uncertain, but it wasn’t long before I started showing my love and appreciation to Foster Meowmy for the safe haven that she’d provided.

Now that I’ve fully adjusted to being a pampered indoor cat, I’m ready to find my forever home where more love awaits me. Because of my bad past experiences living outdoors, I’m wary of other cats and realize that I thrive best without their company. Although I need to be an only-cat-child, you won’t suffer because I’ll go to great lengths to show you my love. In other words, if you’re looking for loyalty with a side of royalty, I’m the gal for you!

Mothra #monster-duo

You are here:
SWEET TALKER

DOB 8/24/19

Well hello everyone! I’m Mothra, a smart, gregarious, curious brown tabby "princess" with white tuxedo markings. I was named after a giant flying moth that was a popular "heroic" monster in horror films. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. I’m a “talker” who chirps and trills for everyone when I greet them, and then I plop down to receive a good belly rub.

I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids.

During Tropical Storm Imelda, my brother Godzilla and I, the #monster-duo, were found as orphan kittens with no momma in sight. Although I'm available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with Godzilla so we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, chatty princess who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood, I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

Mr Bubba #loves-bellyrubs

You are here:
GENTLE GIANT WITH MORE TO HUG

DOB 3/1/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Mr. Bubba, a calm, laid-back, friendly, and affectionate bicolor gentle-giant who loves to interact with my hoomans. (Bicolor means that I’m mostly white with red tabby on my head, sides, and tail.) I luxuriate when Foster Meowmy scratches my cheeks, chin, ears, and head, and I roll over to invite her to rub my extra-large white belly. I’m quick to accept the Temptation treats that she offers me.

My first Meowmy was transferred to Switzerland and couldn’t take me with her overseas. I was devastated to tell her good-bye, but I'm relieved that Foster Meowmy has promised to find me a new home where I’ll be the cherished kitty once again. I haven’t mixed much with the other cats in my foster home, and – believe it or not – the kittens scare me because I like to live life at a slow, dignified pace, not the Mach 5 of kitten frenzy. I’m not addicted to toys like some of my foster mates, so I’m perfectly content to watch the wildlife out the window or catch a catnap on the cat-tree ledge.

I’m ready now to bring my docile and loving demeanor to my new family. Could that be with you? I think I’m quite a handsome “catch,” and I promise you’ll never regret sharing your heart and home with an easygoing gentle-giant like me. Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a fella who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories! Arrange to meet me today!

Ms Ethel #Low-Maintenance

You are here:
SWEET MOMMA

DOB 5/1/23

Ms Ethel was brought into HOPE when an elderly couple found her and her newborn babies in their backyard. Completely soaked and very hungry, the kitties needed immediate help. A foster stepped up and took in the forlorn family.

Fast forward months later, and all the kitties have been adopted with only momma cat left. Ms Ethel is a sweet mittened torbie. She still prefers not to be picked up but will come over to you for petting and snuggling. Ms Ethel is a stately kitty who is independent and can go hours on end without needing humans. She's simply a low-maintenance kind of gal.

LOVES TO BE CARRIED AROUND

DOB 7/12/21

Are you looking for a uniquely marked tabby kitty who has small cheetah-like spots on his sides instead of the typical tabby stripes? Well I’m the man! Meow! Meow, everyone! I'm Noel, your perfect feline companion! I'm a very friendly, affectionate, loving, easygoing, and active cream-colored “spotted” tabby fella.

My foster mom calls me her favorite "lap cat" and her "bed buddy" because I love to snuggle. She rescued me as a baby who needed to be bottle-fed, so I love being carried around.  I live with cats and dogs, so I get along well with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.

Why am I a "special needs" kitty? I was recently diagnosed with diabetes insipidus, a rare, relatively harmless disorder that causes my body to make too much urine. It’s easily controlled with daily eye drops. However, I will need an experienced owner who can give me my drops every day and monitor my drinking as well as...um...my “output” in case the dosage needs to be adjusted by the vet. Easy peasy!

No reason for you to pass me by since I’m such a lovable and loving spotted guy. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give that all I need is YOU!

Noelle #spunky-lady

LAP KITTY EXTRAORDINAIRE

DOB 7/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Noelle, a cuddly, affectionate, and friendly tuxedo gal with white mittens, boots, chin, vest, and tummy. Plus I have the cutest wisp of a white blaze on my nose and the longest spray of whiskers you’ve ever seen. Foster Daddy’s lap is my favorite spot in the house, and I demand plenty of quality time snuggled close to him. While there, he gently scritches my ears as I drift off to sleep.

Foster Daddy named me Noelle because I showed up on his patio late on Christmas night. I was a five-month-old orphan with no momma or siblings in sight – much too young to be cold, hungry, and looking for someone to hug me. Thank heavens he brought me inside, where I fit in beautifully with the resident cats. I’m an energetic young lady, so I enjoy playing with the other felines as well as interactively with Foster Daddy. You should see me lunge for the feathered wand toy or display my skills as a soccer striker as I bat my crinkle ball around the room! I’m also perfectly happy to entertain myself in my quieter moments by watching the birds and squirrels fly and scamper by my window perch as I bask in a patch of sunlight.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home, which preferably has another kitty to be my playmate and snuggle buddy when you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave paw prints all over your heart!

PLAYFUL KITTY

DOB 8/9/23

Meet Olivia, a lovely, playful kitty with a calm disposition. While she is very curious and seems to want to learn everything about her environment, she's beyond the destructive kitten stage. Give her an interactive toy, and she will play contentedly by herself or with other kitties.

Olivia was rescued from a backyard with her three siblings and enjoys the company of cats as well as dogs. Even though Olivia is independent, she seeks out human attention and cuddles. She starts up her motor when she arrives in your lap and purrs non-stop forever after. Olivia is looking for her next adventure and wants to share it with you.

Ollie #cozy-snuggler

You are here:
HAS NEVER MET A STRANGER

DOB 1/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Ollie, a friendly, outgoing, cuddly bicolor fella who’s mostly white with cream tabby on my head, sides, and tail. I love all hoomans, and the highlight of my day is when Foster Meowmy scratches the top of my head, ears, cheeks, and chin. Boy howdy! Does that feel good! I also like to snuggle next to her on the sofa or in bed – the closer the better!

When I was almost two years old, a vet tech in Manvel rescued me as an amiable neighborhood stray without chip, collar, or tags. Obviously I was grateful and thrilled when Foster Meowmy brought me to her home as a safe haven from predators and extreme weather conditions. Oh the thrill I feel as I learn how to play with toys since I’d spent most of my time in survival mode when I was a stray.

Even though I’d fended for myself outside for a while, there’s not an ounce of aggression in my nature. I want to be friends with the resident cats and don't understand why they don't want to be friends back. I follow them around the house in hopes that they’ll pay attention to me or play with me, but to no avail. Such snobs they are!! I’m even cautiously getting acquainted with the cat-friendly resident dogs in my foster home.

Now I’m ready to bring joy and fun into my forever home. If you're a family who’ll welcome an affectionate bedfellow and cuddle buddy, I'm the guy for you! Arrange to meet me today! So far, I’ve never met a stranger!

Oreo #smarter-than-the-average-cat

You are here:
SO CURIOUS!

DOB 1/19/23

Meet Oreo, the sweetest, shyest little guy with a heart of gold! Rescued from an apartment complex where he was living as a community cat, Oreo was given a second chance at love and comfort. Despite being a bit timid at first, once he gets to know you, his gentle nature shines through. He’s friendly with both cats and people, and his playful side comes out when he’s rolling around with his favorite ball disk or playing hide and seek with his feline buddy.

Oreo enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like napping by the window and soaking in the sunshine. Though he’s a fan of being petted, he’s not a huge fan of being handled—he values his independence but will gladly curl up on the bed when he’s feeling cozy. A true free spirit at heart, Oreo may be FIV+ but that doesn’t stop him from living life to the fullest, finding joy in the small moments. He’s a quiet companion, a gentle soul, and a reminder of the beauty of second chances.

Otto #mitted-tabby

You are here:
SWEET BUT SHY

DOB 8/21/20

Meow! Meow, everyone! My name is Otto, and I’m a sweet though shy brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings. Don’t you love my white locket and four white mittens? I’m very sweet with my foster meowmy as well as the other cats in my foster home. I love and trust my foster meowmy when she pets and holds me. I even allow her to clip my claws.

When I was about a month old, my foster meowmy found my three siblings and me in an old abandoned car. After she got us all vetted and vaccinated, I was supposed to be adopted with my sister Zelda. When I arrived at my new home, I was my typical shy self because I was scared, so I found a hidey hole. Unfortunately the family didn’t give me the chance to settle in and warm up to my new surroundings, so I immediately went back to my foster meowmy.

I’m looking for forever adopters who will be patient with me as I warm up and feel comfy in my new “digs.” Ideally they will want to adopt me with one of my foster playmates like Squeeken whom I know well. Nothing like the moral support of a buddy to build my confidence in new situations!

Arrange to meet me today! There are advantages in adopting a cat who's past the stage of kitten mayhem. I'd be much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories.

Parker #chirps-when-contented

You are here:
CHAIRING IS CARING

DOB 4/1/21

Hey there, everyone! I’m Parker, a sweet, easygoing tuxedo gal with pretty green eyes and high go-go boots who chirps to let Foster Meowmy know how contented I am. Although I’m not one to jump into her lap, once she puts me there, I luxuriate and purr blissfully until I fall asleep.

I was a homeless stray until I found the perfect home to bring my kittens. Foster Meowmy thought I was feral until I refused to leave her house! It turns out that I love the indoor life. Now that my kittens are weaned, I’m permanently retired from being a doting momma.

I truly enjoy relaxing in any comfy spot that I can find around the house, and I’m happy to share your favorite chair with you. I’m independent enough that I don’t demand too much attention, but I thrive anytime I get it. You see, I share my foster home with four resident cats, and although I get along okay with them, I’d love a forever home where there’s more space for me to relax and less competition for Foster Meowmy’s attention. One kitty would be perfect, but four is just too many for my taste.

I hope you’ll arrange to meet me. I can’t wait to find out, like Goldilocks, that your favorite chair is not too hard, not too soft, but just right! Remember, "chairing" is caring.

Pawdrey Hepburn #sister-of-Lipstick

You are here:
CHIRPS AND GIVES ESKIMO KISSES

DOB 3/5/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Pawdrey Hepburn, a brown-tabby beauty with tufted ears who’s as spunky as I am sweet. Since I’m curious and confident, I like to keep tabs on Foster Meowmy by following her from room to room. I brighten her day by exchanging nose kisses and chirping while I play.

I inherited my sweet demeanor from my feline momma Bonita, who was found in Alief as a pregnant teenager. Fortunately she was rescued in time to deliver my litter of three in the safety of foster care. I’ve been handled by Foster Meowmy since I was one day old, which explains why I’m so very sociable and trusting with every hooman I meet. I’m so easy-going that even nail clipping is a breeze with me.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home. I love to climb and explore, so my forever home needs to be a place where I have the freedom to adventure and romp around. It would be great if my new home has kids, dogs, and other cats, as long as the four-legged critters and I are slowly introduced.

Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU! And you might consider adopting me with my sister Lipstick. Two is more fun than one, and we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you're at work or on vacation.

Peppa #loves-to-be-held

You are here:
WONDERFUL LAP KITTY AND BED BUDDY

DOB 7/16/22

Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Peppa, a sweet, loving, easy-going tuxedo gal who has an adorable black button nose. Foster Meowmy testifies that I am a wonderful lap kitty and bed buddy. When I want Meowmy to pick me up, I gently tap my paw on her leg as if to say, “Here I am! Take me into your arms and love me.”

Foster Meowmy found me as a 6-week-old orphan on the premises of a security company in northwest Houston and brought me home. I get along great with the other resident kitties as well as the cat-friendly dogs here. I’m a playful gal who loves to chase the red laser dot that Foster Meowmy bounces around the room.

However, scurrying after the frisky red dot has not always been a piece of cake for me. Out of the clear blue sky, I was challenged with mobility issues starting about a week after my spay surgery. Foster Meowmy was horrified to see me suddenly not be able to support the weight in my back legs, although that didn’t stop me from "walking on my elbows" the best I could, which was nevertheless at quite a fast clip. “My goodness,” heartbroken Foster Meowmy thought, “Peppa is just a 5-month-old kitten!”

For three months, Foster Meowmy did her due diligence and took me to several vets, but it wasn’t until she finally took me to a pain-management vet specialist in The Woodlands that she found someone who could treat me successfully and non-surgically. He diagnosed inflammation in both of my rear elbow joints from either a congenital or traumatic injury.

God bless him because he relieved my pain and inflammation with cortisone and joint lubricant injections in both my back legs and started me on a regimen of monthly Adequan injections. It wasn’t long before – voila - I was playing and running around as if nothing had ever been wrong! What a miracle, thanks to HOPE’s Emergency Medical fund, collected from sales of the annual HOPE cat calendar!

The good news is that with long-term arthritic management, I should be able to live a basically normal life. My only ongoing treatment is for Foster Meowmy to give me monthly Adequan injections. So, although I’m considered a “special-needs” kitty, my chronic mobility problems have responded splendidly to injections and are easily controlled. Aren’t you happy that I need no daily PILLS???

I hope that my technically being a special-needs kitty has not quashed your interest in having me plop myself in your lap or snuggle next to you in bed. I’d do fine as either a solo kitty or companion to your resident dog or cat. Also consider adopting me with one of my feline playmates with whom I’m already bonded. Two is better than one, and we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Polly #polydactyl

You are here:
ADORABLE PLAYGIRL

DOB 8/2/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Polly #polydactyl, which means that I have 6 toes on three of my paws and 7 toes on one paw! I’m a sweet, energetic, and beautiful tuxedo gal with a sleek, shiny black fur coat and giant green globe eyes. Around Halloween, I showed up on Foster Meowmy’s back patio as a three-month-old orphan kitten with no momma or siblings in sight. I looked pretty scrawny because I'd obviously been trying to fend for myself for quite a while on the mean Houston streets. Plus I had burns on my front paws, so I could barely walk. (Antibiotics and ointment have healed them 100%).

I was so grateful that Foster Meowmy brought me inside to safety. Friendly me was thrilled to find a trio of kitty sisters who could be my aunties and teach me all that my momma would’ve made sure I learned if she’d been around. Only problem is that they are 16 years old, so they are not exactly ecstatic with my playful kitten antics. No worries! I entertain myself with the plethora of toys that Foster Meowmy has provided. I’m quite the soccer striker with my crinkle balls and catnip mice, and I love chasing the string wand-toy when Foster Meowmy wiggles it around like a snake. I have plenty of kitten energy to burn!

Now it’s time for me to find my forever home that's not a retirement community! If you’re looking for an adorable and playful beauty who’s always dressed elegantly with my white vest and gloves (that accommodate my 25 toes), I’m the gal for you! Just think of the unique polydactyl paw prints that I’ll leave all over your heart! Arrange to meet me today!

Princess #seeks-attention

You are here:
REGAL EYE-CANDY

DOB 8/25/22

Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Princess, and I’m a sweet, shy, calm, and loving lynx-point Snowshoe/Siamese mix gal with gorgeous pale blue eyes that’ll melt your heart. I’m pretty stunning “eye candy,” if I do say so myself. I enjoy purring and being petted while I snuggle in Foster Meowmy’s lap.

Frankly, I could relax more with my hoomans – maybe even sleep with them -- if I didn’t get so distracted by the resident pets in my foster home. The male of the two cats is a real pest, and all the silly dog wants to do is play with me. So when Foster Meowmy is busy or not around, I entertain myself by playing alone with my toys.

I was a teenage momma who was living paw-to-mouth with my son Myles when future Foster Meowmy noticed us in her apartment complex. When she found out that he was in my second litter and that his siblings had died, she said, “Enough is enough!” Myles and I were so grateful that she brought us inside out of the rain and cold and that we could kiss the hardscrabble outdoor life goodbye.

Now I’m fixed so I’ll never be in the predicament of an unwanted teenage pregnancy again. So I’m ready for my forever home, and I hope it’s just as calm and quiet as I am. A family with well-behaved children who dote on me or empty-nesters who spend lots of time at home would be perfect because I’d love to be lavished with the hooman attention I crave.

Purscilla #sister-of-Catalina

You are here:
SWEET-VOICED CUDDLER

DOB 4/10/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Purscilla, an adorable, snuggly, playful white little girl with golden eyes. I love to spend quality time with my hoomans, whether it’s while we’re binging on Neflix and Animal Planet, sleeping together, or while I’m watching their computer work. I tend to be quiet and not meow a lot, but when I do, it’s the sweetest little “mew” you’ve ever heard.

My favorite toys are Foster Meowmy’s hair bands. I can spend hours playing soccer with them as I scamper all around the room. I can’t seem to get enough of them, so I’m hoping that Foster Meowmy will spoil me and buy me my very own package.

My feral momma Clawdia chose to birth my sister Catalina and me in the safety of the patio of an apartment unit that had been vacant for a long time. Was it a mere coincidence that our future Foster Meowmy moved in one or two days later? She’s quite a cat advocate, so thankfully she scooped up newborn Catalina and me as well as trapped Momma in order to bring us all inside to safety.

If you’re looking for a beautiful pure white kitty who loves to cuddle, I’m the gal for you! I hope that my being a “special-needs” kitty will not scare you off; in fact, perhaps you’re one of those benevolent souls who actually seeks out a "special" kitty whom others might pass over. All the more reason for me to love you!

Although we’re available separately, Catalina and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. Two’s more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me [us] today!

UNUSUAL MARKINGS

DOB 10/1/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Reeces who got my name because I’m all the colors of a Reeces Peanut Butter cup. I’m an exotic-looking tortoiseshell kitty with stunningly unique markings! My beauty is matched by my sweet personality – I’m friendly, gentle, easygoing, and always ready to share a calm moment by your side. I like to cuddle with Foster Meowmy at bedtime, and for sure I’ll jump on the bed the next morning to remind her that it’s breakfast time. Although I’m usually a quiet gal, I can be pretty chatty at other times.

I birthed my twin #Beryl-baby girls, Darla and Zoey, during the midst of the hurricane. A nice lady had been feeding me on the front porch of her apartment. Lo and behold, the next thing she knew -- there was a litter of kittens on her front porch. She cared for us all but left us outside. Month-old kittens can be curious, and Darla and Zoey climbed up into the motor of a neighbor’s car. The neighbor didn’t realize this until she started driving and then heard meowing. Fortunately she stopped and discovered them under the hood.

The nice lady realized that we all needed to be safe inside, so she contacted her cat lady friend who’s a HOPE volunteer. Fortunately Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate to foster my little family. Foster life surely beats the hardscrabble outdoor life of a stray. However, sometimes I’ve gotten a little perturbed and had to defend my girls when the resident young male cat plays a little too rough with them.

Now that I’ve retired from doting motherhood, I’m ready to find my forever home. Could that be you? My soft demeanor and affectionate nature make me the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loving, serene kitty who's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give -- all I need is YOU!

Serena #never-met-a-stranger

You are here:
PLAYGIRL EXTRAORDINAIRE

DOB 1/1/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Serena, and I’m a confident, bright, and energetic petite tortie gal, and PLAY is the name of the game for me! I spend an hour every night with my foster pawrents chasing the feathered wand toy as it’s snaked around the room, lunging at the Cat Dancer (cardboard on a wire that bounces like a bungee cord), and showing my prowess as a soccer striker as I bat my jingle-bell balls around the room. Since sometimes I grab and nip during the toy-toss and chase, I‘m learning to play gently. I’m friendly and not shy at all, even with strangers. When a visitor first came over, I immediately interacted with her and now regularly play with her during her weekly visits.

I first appeared on my foster pawrents’ porch as a friendly stray who was desperately hungry and head-butted Foster Meowmy’s shins to beg for food. Since she’s the caregiver for a colony of community cats, she quickly got me spayed but, instead of releasing me, she kept me inside and promised to find me a great forever home. I haven’t been around dogs or small children, but -- true confessions – I chase the timid resident cats in my foster home, so perhaps I should be an only-cat child. (Then again, I might be okay with another cat who's not so shy and easily intimidated.)

I’m all ready to find my forever home. If you’ve got a penchant for torties with their sassy tortitudes, I’m the gal for you! Arrange to meet me today! I’m a Playgirl extraordinaire! If you adopt me, Foster Meowmy will send along my bed, favorite toys, and food.

KNOWS WHAT 'TREATS' AND 'PLAY' MEAN

DOB 2/14/24

Hey there, everyone! I'm Snow, a sweet, cuddly, and playful green-eyed “bicolor” gal, which means that I’m mostly white with gray tabby on my face, back, and tail. I love to snuggle with Foster Meowmy, but I also cherish time spent with all my hooman friends, especially when they play interactively with me or give me treats. Sometimes I’m a brave adventurer when I explore all the nooks and crannies in my foster home.

Foster Meowmy rescued the #spunky-four (a.k.a.me and my three siblings Tom, Luna, and Kisa) as orphans in her neighborhood. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

I believe in magic, the magic of love and companionship. I'm ready to sprinkle that magic into your life. Adopt me, and together we'll write our own magical story. Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with one of my siblings so we can keep each other company when you’re at work or on vacation.

While she’s a total sweetheart in the comfort of her home, Spotty can get a bit cranky in busy environments like adoption events. She’s just looking for a quiet, patient home where she can truly shine and show her loving side.

BEAM ME UP, SPOTTY!

DOB 5/4/23

Hi there! I’m Spotty, a curious, cute, and crafty tortoiseshell “ninja” with a striking orange nose-blaze whose name was inspired by the Star Trek catchphrase “Beam me up, Spotty.” I’m not as shy as I was initially, and I’ve come to just love cuddling with Foster Meowmy. I’m like the Chatty Cathy doll because I have no trouble chirping and trilling for everyone.

Foster Meowmy found Momma and my #spring-shower-litter in her yard one stormy spring day. My brother Ollie as well as my sisters, Minnie, Juniper, and Angel, and I were just a few weeks old, so thank heavens Meowmy brought us safely inside to join the friendly resident cats. My foster home is calm and quiet without kids, but I have quite a rambunctious streak in me, so I’m open to a home with kids. I fit in well with the other kitties, but I'm apprehensive about the elderly Maltipoo.

Now I’m ready to find the forever home, and if you’re looking for a shy but chatty ninja, I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. Please consider adopting me with Juniper so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Sprinkles #cupcake-sweet

CUDDLY PURR MACHINE

DOB 5/1/22

Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Sprinkles, a very sweet, super-friendly, affectionate, and energetic silver “tuxedo” tabby with white mittens and vest. My striking amber eyes are sure to mesmerize you. I’m very loving and constantly reward my foster meowmy with head butts, nose rubs, loud purrs, and cuddles. I’m outgoing, well-socialized, and well-behaved – pretty much the perfect kitty, if you ask me! What more could you ask for?

Don’t get the idea that I’m a couch potato, though! No sirree! I’m as active as any kitty who loves to play, explore, and run around. The other foster kitties and I have so much fun wrestling and chasing each other up and down the cat tree. I even get along with the resident dog! I can also entertain myself by playing soccer with cat spring-toys, but my favorite playtime is when Foster Meowmy dangles the feathered wand toy over my head. Boy, howdy! Is that ever fun!

I showed up as a stray in the backyard of a HOPE volunteer's neighbor, and now I'm ready to nestle into my forever home as well as into your heart. If you're looking for a playful, well-adjusted feline who's as sweet as a Sprinkles cupcake, I'm your gal. Arrange to meet me today! I think it’d be fun for you to guess the decibels on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffee pot. Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a girl like me who's past the stage of kitten mayhem. I'm much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories!

Squeakers #bonded-to-Felix

You are here:
BEAUTIFUL GREEN "OLIVE" EYES

DOB 4/2/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Squeakers, and I’m a rather quiet and shy tortie gal with green "olive" eyes who was living very happily with my “bestie” Felix in a home where we were really cherished. I was very playful and like to jump. Unfortunately our hooman had some financial setbacks in this inflationary economy. When she learned that she was going to be evicted, Foster Meowmy stepped up to the plate and offered to foster her darlings [us] until HOPE could find us a wonderful new home. Foster Meowmy is insisting that Felix and I be adopted together as a bonded pair in an effort to mitigate the upheaval we’ve already experienced.

My world has been turned upside down since we moved into our foster home. I spend a lot of time hiding and come out to cuddle with Foster Meowmy and to hang out with Felix. I’m a little intimidated by the other cats in my foster home, and I want to make sure that they won’t chase me or be aggressive with me.

If you’ve got a medium to quiet home, Felix and I are the pair for you. Arrange to meet us today!

Starlene #snuggle-bunny

You are here:
SHE LEAVES NO DOUBT THAT SHE LOVES YOU

DOB 5/1/23

Hey everyone! I’m Starlene, a lovable, playful mitted “patched tabby” gal who never leaves a doubt in Foster Meowmy’s mind that I love her. My favorite naptime spot is nestled next to her, where I purr away as I fall asleep. I’ve proved to be the best couch buddy she could ever ask for, and my favorite TV shows include ER and Teen Wolf. At bedtime, I like to crawl aboard Meowmy’s chest and listen to her heartbeat before I curl up on her shoulder for comfort and warmth. “Lights out” is when we say good night and safeguard one another’s dreams.

In the morning, I awaken with Meowmy’s alarm clock, yawn, and then ask if it’s time to go watch Cat TV yet. When Meowmy leaves for work, I entertain myself by zooming around the house as well as batting my rolly-balls and stuffed mouse around the room. Anytime during the day is Cat TV time—that’s where I sit on my window perch and carefully track the squirrels, birds, and butterflies as the scamper and fly by.

The second Foster Meowmy comes home, I’m there to greet her with ankle rubs and a happy little “meowr!” She may unwind from a stressful day by interactively waving my beloved feather wand over my head or snaking it for me to chase around the room. I’m a natural explorer, so I always check out anything new. I’ve charted the unknown waters of pantries, cabinets, and bathtubs; I’ve even ventured into the seedy underbelly of sofas as well as upholstered chairs, and I have the dust bunnies to prove it.

There are no other cats in my foster home, but I’m calm and curious with the resident dog except when he gets too excited and is pushy and impolite. I get along great with the well-behaved neighborhood kid and teen who catsit for me when Foster Meowmy goes out of town. They like it that I rub against their hands and ankles to plant my pheromones and that I invite them to pet me. True confessions: when I get excited, sometimes I give a love-bite (but obey immediately to “No biting!”) and can grab hands with my claws out. So maybe a home without young children would be best because I don’t want to scare anybody!

Foster Meowmy first saw me as a friendly, pregnant, teenage stray living at a near-by community-cat colony. She immediately brought me inside, where I began living the good life of a housecat. Now that Meowmy fixed it so I’ll never get trapped in an unwanted pregnancy again, I’m ready to find my forever home. I’m keeping mum about my life before I appeared at the cat colony, but just let me assure you that I was born to be a Star! Arrange to meet me today! If you’re looking for a stellar cuddle buddy, I’m the gal for you!

Suki #prim-n-proper-lady

You are here:
EXPERT BISCUIT MAKER

DOB 10/12/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Suki, a sweet, snuggly, and affectionate white-chinned brown tabby gal who’s a prim-and-proper lady. I absolutely love being cuddled in Foster Meowmy’s arms. I was found in a WalMart parking lot as a tiny, fragile orphan with no momma or siblings in sight. I was way too young to have been separated from my momma, but fortunately Foster Meowmy is an experienced cat lady, and her daughter is a vet-tech, so they knew just what to do to get me on track to being the healthy, well-adjusted kitten that I am. Suckling and making biscuits on soft blankets is an endearing hold-over from my being weaned too soon.

I’m no push-over! No sirree! I know how to set boundaries with the resident cats, and I’ll hiss to make sure they don’t mess with me. And then I’ll settle right down to cuddle in Foster Meowmy’s arms or play soccer with my mouse toys. When I arrived at my foster home, I was delighted to meet Zuko, another foster kitten exactly my age, who has become like a brother to me. We even look alike! We have a blast tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we're exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. And I’m slowly being introduced to the resident dogs, whom I find very curious.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home! Although we’re available separately, consider adopting Zuko and me together so we can be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today!

Tango #bestie-of-Little-Bobbie

You are here:
"MOST WONDERFUL OF KITTENS"

DOB 4/7/22

Howdy everyone! I’m Tango, a loving and mellow yet funny and lively red tabby fella with a warm personality and a great sense of humor. Foster Meowmy describes me as “the most wonderful of kittens who deserves an A+ home.”

Next to a pile of debris in the Lindale area, I was found in the street as an orphan with no momma in sight. I fit right into my foster home along with several other rescued kittens who were my same age. I have so much fun playing with my surrogate siblings. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted from all the fun, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

The three resident cats acted as my surrogate aunts and uncles who taught me everything my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. I also get along great with the two big dogs in my foster home, so there are a lot of households where I would fit like a glove.

Arrange to meet me today! You'll fall in love with me the second you meet me. I'm all ready to settle into my A+ new home! Although we’re available separately, my foster mate Little Bobbie and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we were adopted together. I’d be happy to give you an extra kiss because we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

SWEET AND DOCILE

DOB 8/9/23

Oh woe is me . . . I'm no longer a small, highly desirable kitten . . . one that people fawn over and seek out. I was adopted when I was seven months old and returned three months later because my new owner didn't expect cats' fur to shed. Not that I shed much, but she had some unusually high expectations.

I'm calm, cuddly, and playful. I love attention from humans. In fact, I have been known to jump on the cat tree to get someone's attention and then allow them to kiss me on my nose. Nose kisses or crunchy treats just make my day!

Do you need a super-special, docile kitty to share your home with? My name is spelled T-A-Y-L-O-R. Come to see me SWIFTLY.

Tippy #sister-of-Tulsa

You are here:
THE RUNT OF THE LITTER WHO'S CATCHING UP FAST!

DOB 8/29/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Tippy, a sweet, petite “bicolor” gal with gigantic amber eyes. “Bicolor” means that I’m mostly white with cream tabby on my head, back, and tail. My sister Tulsa and I were born to a stray momma kitty in southwest Houston before HOPE volunteers got her fixed, and we’re the spitting image of our daddy, who’s also now fixed. I’m the smallest of my litter, but I’m catching up fast.

Although I’d spent my life outdoors, once I arrived at my foster home it didn’t take me long to start whizzing through cat tunnels, scampering up cat trees, and begging Foster Meowmy for Churus squeezable treats. Although I haven’t been around dogs or kids, I get along great with the other foster kitties. In fact Cash, another foster kitty who’s two months older than I am, has become my big-brother protector in case another foster-mate frightens me. He also serves nicely as a cuddly pillow for me to snuggle with.

I’m all ready for my forever home! Could that be with you? Although we’re available separately, consider adopting me as a “pretty matching pair” with my cream-tabby sister Tulsa. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today!

Tom Sandoval #plays-iPad-games

SNUGGLY SIESTA KING

DOB 4/15/23

If you think the actor Tom Sandoval looks like a hunk dressed in black, you should see me! Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Tom Sandoval’s namesake, an affectionate, saucy, friendly black DSH/Bombay mix kitten with a sleek, shiny coat. I can be quite the snuggly Siesta King who loves to curl up in bed with either Foster Meowmy or my sister Maddox, with whom I'm very bonded. I soak up any attention that Foster Meowmy gives me, especially when she’s dispensing Temptation treats.

I’m a playful guy who loves to play soccer with toy mice as well as engage with iPad games. And of course I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my three sisters, Maddox, Lala, and Katie. I can also entertain myself by scaling the cat tower and playing with its dangling toys.

When my Foster Meowmy was walking on her driveway one day, she spotted my feral momma and my litter of four under the house of her next door neighbor. She trapped, spayed, and released Momma but brought us kittens inside to socialize us. We fit in beautifully with her other pets, and now that we're ready to be adopted, she promises to find us all fantastic homes.

If you’re looking for a handsome, gentle, easy-going fella who gets along with other cats and small dogs, arrange to meet me! Consider adopting me with one of my sisters so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

DEMANDS ENDLESS HOURS OF LOVING ATTENTION

DOB 1/11/23

Hey everyone! I’m Tomm, a very quiet, calm, and handsome – if I do say so myself – 12-pound Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat and big golden-globe eyes. I’m one of those Velcro boys who loves to stick close to Foster Meowmy where I can demand endless hours of gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches.

My brothers Jerry, Jax, and I, a.k.a. It did take a while for her to earn my trust, but once she did (thanks to treat rewards!), I’m now all hers!! Boy howdy! With 20-20 hindsight, I much prefer brimming food/water bowls and climate-controlled indoor life. My foster home is like an oasis from battling Houston’s derechos, hurricanes, and winter storms. The hardscrabble outdoor life is for the birds!

I have some catching-up to do as a young adult fella because playing with toys is an all-new adventure for me! But I’ll get there! Could you be the next person who snakes the wand-toy around the room for me to chase or waves it over my head to lunge at? Or perhaps you have a tower of balls to enrapture me? Catnip mice and crinkle balls for me to display my talents as a soccer striker? Then I’m the man for you! Although we’re available separately, please consider adopting me with Jax. He’s shy and initially fearful, but, as his BFF, I help make him feel safe. Arrange to meet me (and Jax, for that matter!) today! I can’t wait to meet you!

BOTH LOVE GENTLE STROKING AND LOVING EAR-SCRITCHES

DOB 1/11/23

Hey everyone! We’re Tomm and Jax, bonded brothers who are hoping to be adopted into the same forever home.

Tomm says, “I’m a very quiet, calm, and handsome 12-pound Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny black patent-leather coat and big golden-globe eyes. I’m one of those Velcro boys who loves to stick close to Foster Meowmy where I can demand endless hours of gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches.”

Jax says, “I’m a very sweet, shy, and gorgeous 11-pound mitted gray tabby fella with white encircling my neck and embellishing my chest.  Do you like my cute brown half-moustache on my left lip? I love Foster Meowmy’s gentle stroking and loving ear-scritches. She’s learned not to pet me too fast or roughly so that I won’t get scared. When she tickles my belly, I give her well-meaning love-bites. Since they sometimes hurt, she’s learned to focus her petting attention on my ears, chin, and cheeks.”

We were less than a year old when we showed up as homeless strays in Foster Meowmy’s neighborhood. Initially she trapped, neutered, and released us. After about a year of feeding us, when her last foster kitten had been adopted, she decided that, with a little time and patience, we’d make wonderful indoor companion pets. It did take a while for her to earn our trust, but once she did (thanks to treat rewards!), we’re now all hers!! Boy howdy! With 20-20 hindsight, we much prefer brimming food/water bowls and climate-controlled indoor life. Our foster home is like an oasis from battling Houston’s derechos, hurricanes, and winter storms. The hardscrabble outdoor life is for the birds! We have some catching-up to do as young adult fellas because playing with toys is an all-new adventure for us!

Jax continues, “I’m shy and initially fearful, but, as my BFF, Tomm helps make me feel safe. When I first arrived, I felt overwhelmed. As I felt more comfortable over the next few weeks, I started settling in and exploring my new “digs." I’m confident that, once I figure out any new environment, I’ll feel relaxed and secure.”

Please consider adopting us as a bonded pair. We can be playmates and cuddling buddies while you're at  work or on vacation. Arrange to meet us today! We can’t wait to meet you!

LOVES THE FEATHER WAND TOY AND FREEZE-DRIED TREATS

DOB 7/29/22

Hey there, everyone! I'm Tori, a sweet, gentle, affectionate, easygoing tortoiseshell gal who gives the best nose-to-nose kisses that you could ever experience. I love to play interactively with Foster Meowmy as she waves the feather wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room. Then again, I’m a calm, chill girl who likes to lay in my cozy cat bed by the window and watch the wildlife fly and scamper by.

Future Foster Meowmy had been feeding a male kitty for a couple of months when he brought my three-month old daughter Kittie and me to the colony feeding station. Thinking that this male kitty was my husband, Foster Meowmy got us both spayed right away. After we recuperated from surgery, she released Kittie and me outside. However, when another cat started attacking Kittie, Foster Meowmy brought us both inside to safety.  I initially begged to go back outside, but because of the danger of the aggressive outdoor cat, Foster Meowmy stuck to her guns and insisted that I stay inside.

I eventually adapted well to indoor living and certainly enjoy spending peaceful, quality time with Kittie as well as Foster Meowmy. I love the indoor amenities of brimming food/water bowls, climate control, protection from predators – not to mention yummy freeze-dried chicken treats. Foster Meowmy tried to network among her family and friends to find us our forever homes, but to no avail. So now she's hoping that HOPE will give us the public exposure we need to be adopted into loving families.

If you have a penchant for tortoiseshell kitties and want a serene and loving dispenser of Eskimo kisses, I’m the gal for you! Although we're available separately, Kittie and I think it'd be the cat's meow if we could be adopted together. Two's more fun than one, and we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give - all I need is YOU!

Tulsa #sister-of-Tippy

KEEN OBSERVER

DOB 8/29/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Tulsa, a sweet, quiet, and very smart cream tabby gal with gigantic amber eyes. My sister Tippy and I were born to a stray momma kitty in southwest Houston before HOPE volunteers got her fixed, and we’re the spitting image of our daddy, who’s also now fixed.

When I first came to my foster home, I spent most of my time watching in wonder at all the activity around me. Since I’d spent most of my life outdoors, it took me awhile to get the hang of playing with catnip mice, cat spring-toys, and the Turkey Flyer. Now Churu squeezable treats are another matter – I became quickly addicted to them! I get along great with the other foster kitties, but I haven’t been around dogs or kids.

I’m all ready for my forever home! Could that be with you? Although we’re available separately, consider adopting me as a "pretty matching pair" with my cream-and-white tabby sister Tippy. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today!

Tyson #after-five-jetset

HESITATES BEFORE HE JUMPS INTO THE MELEE

DOB 6/20/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Tyson, a shy but curious and playful “bicolor” fella who’s mostly white with black on my head, back, and tail. I’m one of the #after-five-jetset, who got that name because the five in my litter are all beautifully and elegantly dressed in “after-five” attire. (Many of my siblings are “tuxedos.”) I usually hang back and check everything out from a distance before I jump into the melee of fun that my siblings have created. They usually succeed in bringing out my rambunctious spirit when we tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Sweet Mama was the young indoor-outdoor pet of an irresponsible owner who did not spay her, and of course, she birthed our litter. When this family was evicted, we were not taken with them but were left behind to fend for ourselves. We were about 2.5 weeks old when Hurricane Beryl blew through, and a concerned neighbor posted my family’s plight on the neighborhood message board. When our future foster pawrents saw the posting, they forged out in the midst of the pouring rain and brought all six of us inside to the safety of their home. They are heroes in my book because they gave us all a second chance!!

Now I’m ready to find my forever home, so I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! Since my personality shines best when I’m frolicking with my siblings, I hope that you’ll consider adopting me with my twin brother Charlie so I'll have a playmate and cuddle buddy while you’re at work or on vacation. I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

ONE OF THE #ARTIST-COLONY LITTER

DOB 7/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Vincent #Van-Gogh, a handsome, docile, gentle, and affectionate Russian Blue mix fella with big golden-globe eyes. I live life to the fullest and appreciate the wonders of the world. I’m devoted to my foster meowmy and love to cuddle with her while we gaze at the Starry Night – or else while we binge on Animal Planet and Netflix.

I’m one of the six in the #artist-colony litter who were found as orphans on the day we were born with no momma in sight. A Good Samaritan rescued us from an apartment complex and brought us to a nice mom-daughter team, who has lovingly cared for us since we were bottle babies. Georgia #O'Keeffe, Botero #Fernando, Dali #Salvador, Claude #Monet, Diego #Rivera, and I have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home, and I’d love to be your best friend. Arrange to meet me today! Head's up -- I'm very shy and scared at adoption events, so I might show my true personality. Although we’re available separately, it’d be the cat’s meow if you’d consider adopting me with one of my siblings. While you’re at work or on vacation, we could be playmates as well as cuddle buddies.

Introducing our sweet tuxedo kitten, Winnie, a gentle and loving little lady with a striking black-and-white coat. This calm and affectionate kitten is the perfect cuddle companion, always ready to snuggle up in your lap or follow you around the house with her big, soulful eyes.

Despite her young age, she has a relaxed demeanor and enjoys quiet moments just as much as playtime. Her favorite activities include soft purring sessions, cozy naps, and the occasional playful chase of a soft ball.

With her endearing personality and classic tuxedo charm, she’s sure to bring warmth and love to her forever home. Winnie would do best in a quiet home.

Zephyr #graffiti-boy

STREET URCHIN TO PAMPERED PET

DOB 4/28/23

Have you ever seen a kitten whose body looks like a canvas that a graffiti artist has started splashing with tiny spots of black paint? Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Zephyr, a sweet and playful fella who’s pure white except for my black toupee and just a few pale smudges of gray on my shoulders.

My brothers, Banksy and Donti, and I are fascinated by everything in the bathroom.

I’m particularly bonded to Dondi. We’re always up to some kind of kitten business – exploring, menacing each other, wrestling with each other. When we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle with Banksy and may even nuzzle with our sweet momma Clara.

If you’re looking for hours of entertainment with a handsome fella’s who’s a feast to the eyes, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me today!  Foster Meowmy is insisting that I be adopted with Dondi so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Just think – you can get all your cat-needs met with our little Instacat family.

Ziva #lovey-dovey

You are here:
SO PETITE THAT SHE LOOKS LIKE A KITTEN

DOB 3/8/20

Hey there, everyone! I’m Ziva, a sweet, very friendly, and affectionate "autumn-leaf" tortoiseshell gal with mesmerizing green eyes. Meeting new people doesn’t faze me at all – Foster Meowmy testifies that I’ve been “lovey” from the get-go! I’m a petite beauty, and Foster Meowmy thought I was 9 months old when she first met me. The Good Samaritan who rescued me immediately told her that I’d been hanging out as a stray in an apartment complex for four and a half years!

Boy howdy! Was I ever relieved to kiss the hardscrabble outdoor life goodbye and settle into the safe haven of my foster home! I relish all the love and attention that Foster Meowmy showers on me. Although I’d been deprived of toys as a young outdoor kitten, I took immediately to playing soccer with my turquoise lizard, jingle balls, and catnip mice. I can entertain myself quite well, but what I really adore is interactive play with Foster Meowmy. The feather wand toy is my favorite because she waves it over my head for me to bat or enticingly snakes it around the room for me to chase.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home where abundant love awaits me. Could that be with your family? If you’re looking for a well-adjusted, outgoing, loving, and playful tortie, I’m the gal for you. Arrange to meet me today! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a kitty like me who’s past the frenzy of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories.

Zuko #puss-n-boots

MACH 5 SPEEDSTER WHEN HE GETS THE ZOOMIES

DOB 10/12/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Zuko, and I’m just the happiest, friendliest Puss ‘N White Boots whom you’ll ever meet. I’m a brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings who has a penchant for purring the second I see Foster Meowmy. I don’t hesitate climbing up my hoomans and demanding their attention.  Anything that moves – hands, string, hair – is my prey, so I’ll attack it. I’m a playful dude who’s enthusiastic about playing soccer with my mouse toys. I’m an energetic speedster who can go from zero to Mach Five in no time!

I was found on a truck tire as a tiny, fragile orphan with no momma or siblings in sight. I was way too young to have been separated from my momma, but fortunately Foster Meowmy is an experienced cat lady, and her daughter is a vet-tech, so they knew just what to do to get me back on track to be the healthy kitten I am today. I fit in nicely with the resident cats and dogs, and to my delight, it wasn’t long before Suki, a new foster kitten exactly my age, arrived and became like a sister to me. We even look alike! We have a blast tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we're exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Now I’m ready to find my forever home, and I’d fit best with someone who wants to spend lots of time with a hands-on kitten. Remember I luxuriate in hooman attention, and if that’s not your style, go find yourself an aloof feline. Although we’re available separately, consider adopting Suki and me together so we can be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today!
