Adorable

You are here:

Estimated date of birth is Feb. 2014.

Adorable's name says it all, she's just adorable!  This friendly girl is so multi-talented: she's an adept soccer player with any of her cat toys that skitter across the floor, she loves classical music (Chopin is her favorite), she's a lap cat, and she gets along with the other cats in her foster home. What more could you ask for? Well, how about: she's BILINGUAL! Yep, she's the complete package. Come meet her this weekend at HOPE's mobile cat adoptions, she would be a great cat addition to any lucky feline loving home.

Archie

You are here:

Archie was spotted at a SW Houston apartment complex because his eyes appeared infected.  After seeing two vets, we learned Archie has a corneal perforation in one eye, that can never be repaired.  When he is older, this eye will need to be removed.  His "good" eye is also damaged, but with care we have saved his sight.  DOB 5/13/2020

While he has been recovering we placed Archie in a room with a large, male kitten named Tom.  While Archie moves at the speed of light, Tom uses a much lower speed.  In the video you can see Archie playing with a new toy while Tom keeps watch.  https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMJyhdJPS/   If the link doesn’t work for you, try copying and pasting it into your browser.

Archie is a wonderful kitten with a lot of life and love to share.  If you can open your heart to a special needs kitten, please consider Archie.   HOPE ID# 20-0901-C055

Baby Bear

You are here:

Hi! I am Baby-Bear. My brother Starbuck and I were born March 7, 2017 and are the cutenesses of West U. But we're not looking to rob any honey bees or chase any white whales. We are on a quest for our furrever home with wonderful people. We like soft stuff and we love to race around. Right now it's hot, but we are oh so cool! When it gets cold we'll warm your nice soft bed, or snuggle your sleepy head! I'll sweeten your coffee for you! We love to be cute and precious and held like little babies. We're pretty sure you might need us to brighten your life with a little mischief & joy.

Come see us and apply to be our furry people. Don't forget we have an adoption fee! That's to keep the bees and whales safe! Okay, it might be for vetting, vaccines, flea treatment, etc. but we're pretending it's to keep our hunting abilities from developing.

Her favorite things are tunnels, boxes, and toy mice.

Bella

You are here:

"Hello hello! I was a stray that wanted some human companionship so I asked my foster to take care of me when I had my kittens. Well where to start…I am both high energy and extremely chill as well as loving but not needy. I stay active by running around all of the time and love wrestling and playing tag with my cat mates. So I would benefit from a home with a playmate as I get along with everyone and am just looking to have a fun life. There is not a mean bone in my body and will never bite or scratch you, so I will probably do very well with or without children in the home. If placed on your lap I will stay there as you pet my luscious velvety fur and I’ll show you my immediate purr as I am just looking for someone to give me a loving home. I can’t wait to meet you and begin this journey!"

Bliss

You are here:
From “bad Botox” to beautiful!!!
Bliss and her kittens (Calvin and Hobbes) were spotted on Facebook.  Everyone was worried about Bliss because her lips were enlarged - like a very bad Botox treatment on a movie star.  No one wanted to foster them because the Mom looked so odd.  It turned out her illness was easily treatable and her lips are back to normal size and will stay that way.   DOB 8/27/2018

Bliss was a great mom and took good care of her boys, but now she is ready to be on her own.  She is a sweet, friendly girl who craves attention and Temptation treats. She is grateful for her renewed health and is longing for a forever home.   HOPE ID # 20-0822-A059

Blue

You are here:
Blue Point Siamese mix

This sweet, affectionate, lap cat is looking for a loving forever home. He is 4 year old, beautiful, low maintenance, well-behaved FIV, Blue Point Siamese mix named Blue who is a lap cat. If you seeking an only cat that is an affectionate lap cat, he is your ideal cat. Please note he tested positive for FIV.

Cats who are infected with feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) may not show symptoms until years after the initial infection occurred. Although the virus is slow-acting, a cat’s immune system is severely weakened once the disease takes hold. This makes the cat susceptible to various secondary infections. Infected cats who receive supportive medical care and are kept in a stress-free, indoor environment can live relatively comfortable lives for months to years before the disease reaches its chronic stages.

Bootsy

You are here:
Mr. Mischief

 Hi There!

I'm Bootsy or Mr. Mischief or affectionately Sh***head or Stopthat! or BOOTSY!  or Cutthatout!  Basically I have many names!  I know I'm absoulely fabulous it's just I'm bored so I give the other cats unmitigated grief.  I'm loads of fun and always entertaining.  I"m just misunderstood.  I act more like a dog than a cat.  I need a lot of entertainment.  I probably need a dog but I don't know any.  I came from a family with kids who irritated me so if I think you're going to be ugly to me I get a little nippy.  But if know you're being nice, I'm nice.  I need to find the perfect home for me. Oh, and I love to  ESCAPE!  So a catio would be absolutely ideal for me.  I sound AWESOME don't I.  I AM!

Oooo! My backstore is a real doozy too.   One day I showed up in this "catlady's" backyard.  Acting all sweet and precious; wouldn't be any trouble if she would just feed me.  Well she was hoping I would go back to whereever I belonged. (She did feed me.)  Surprise, I didn't. I hung around for a couple of weeks.  So she decided that she would ready a room and if I was still there the next morning she would bring me in.  The next day came and I was no where to be found.  So catlady called for me the following day; and here I came limping out of the garage.  So the day before catlady was ready to bring me in I got busy and broke my back foot.  Yay!  Catlady was dismayed but she was out of $ for expensive vet bills for stray cats and it my foot wasn't out of place.  So catlady brought me in and I was put in my recovery room while catlady figured out what to do with me.

Once I recovered catlady had the bright idea to check to see if I was owned.  I was neutered and sweet and playful so at some point I probably had a home. Maybe my family was missing me!  Sure enough,  I did belong to a family....all the way across town!  Hmmmm........how did I get to catlady's house????  Well catlady was excited to be able to tell my family I was found safe.  So catlady called my family and asked if they were missing a cat;  and they hung up on her.  Huh oh!  So, catlady tried again.  This time my family told catlady "Yes, we were wondering what happened to him.  He just dissapeared."  "We want him back but we are out of town right now and won't be back for a month, but we definately want 'Marvin' back."  So catlady and my family agreed on a day to get me back home and all was settled.  Right?! .....Wrong!  The day came for my family to come pick me up and no word, so catlady called them and that's when they decided they didn't really want me back ....excuses.....excuses....excuses.

So - Here I am!  Looking for a home where misbehaving is fun and appreciated for character and individuality.  Hopefully my new home won't have any cats for me to pester the living daylights out of and maybe even a nice dog who will be my buddy.

Briar

You are here:
Born 9/10/2020

Hey guys! I was a stray kitten that started out pretty shy and the outcast of the litter, but oh boy what I have become! I am always active with running around, jumping into the air just for shear joy, attacking everything on the ground, and playing constantly with my cat mates. However, when I tucker myself out I am all for pettings, especially under my chin and neck. You will never hear a cat purr more loudly than me! I am starting to be a lap cat where I will cuddle with you and give you as much loving as possible.

I am the whole package except for being a little shy in the beginning. Do watch out though, I am very curious and will try to eat whatever you have on the ground. I am gentle enough to be with children as I also thrive on the constant attention and would benefit greatly to have a playmate to wrestle and play tag with. I hope I get to meet you soon!

Cassie

You are here:
Demure, petite, sweet girl that needs a patient pet parent

Estimated DOB 4/28/20.

Little Cassie was found at a Kroger store hiding underneath the shopping carts in the parking lot.  Her rescuer was very patient and finally managed to catch her in a box and took her home to get her healthy and on the road to adoption.

Cassie enjoys playing with her toys and climbing the cat furniture.  She is curious of places to squeeze into but it takes her a while to get comfortable with new things.  She likes to be held and snuggle in your arms.  She is a gentle girl that would like to go to a home with an adult cat  (or no other cats) and an experienced /patient pet parent so she can blossom into a confident young cat.

Charlie - Brown Tabby - Kitten

You are here:
Sweet, affectionate, playful, bonded pair

Charlie and Reggie are two bonded siblings that were found when playing on a man's yard. These two boys were stilling the man's old dog food and popping in his flower bed...unintentionally.
The gentleman got upset and captured the two crazy boys. Luckily on his way to the shelter, he told the story to his coworkers who is cat lover and offered to foster the boys until they find a lovely home.

Charlie (white nose)  is the little brother, the sweetest and cuddly one. Reggie is the big brother very playful and protective of little sibling Charlie.
The both are bonded to play and cuddle.  It is very entertaining to watch them playing and "talking" since they have their own communication code of thrilling and purring.

Charlie and Reggie should be adopted as a bonded pair. They will do better in a home without dogs.

Chloe

You are here:

Sweet Chloe was turned into the Houston City shelter by her owner along with her four baby kittens.  They were all underweight and so starving  - both for food and for attention!  Her kittens have all been adopted and now it's Chloe's turn.

Chloe loves to lay in the window sill in the sunshine.  She also likes to follow her foster mom around and have her ears rubbed.  When she can't be looking out the window, she's fine relaxing in her cat bed.  She's always up for some treats and to chase the laser pointer!  She is a very low maintenance cat and would like nothing more than to have a person all her own so that she can be the pampered cat she deserves to be!

Chrissie has been waiting over two years for a home to call her own. If you can offer this beautiful, tuxedo girl a forever family, please complete a HOPE application.

Chunk

You are here:
Born in 2018

If you like big headed tomcats, you need to meet Chunk. He has the sweetest personality and is SO laid-back. He hasn't been around other cats or dogs much so we don't know how they'd get along. But Chunk is just a joy to have around. He enjoys his dinnertime and lets you know if you've forgotten to fill his bowl. He rubs up against your legs and jumps in your lap. Chunk was exposed to FIV so his test shows him to be a slight positive. Otherwise he is very healthy and is expected to live a long life.

Won't you give Chunk a chance for a good life?

Cini

You are here:
This Russian Blue does everything but vacuum!
DOB Sept 2019 - The name Cini means blue in Russian! She loves to give and get kisses! She has a foster brother and sister that she plays with and grooms. She's talkative and will bring you the ball to throw and fetch when the other playmates are worn out! When the vacuum cleaner is pulled out, she thinks it's playtime and she will chase it and try to bat it! She would be lonely by herself so she needs to have a playmate. She gets along with cats and she would probably be good with cat-friendly dogs.

Cissy - Bombay Mix

You are here:
Lovable, sweet, calm

Born in May, 2017, Cissy and her sister Sassy were rescued from an apartment complex in SW Houston where children were torturing small animals and hawks were looking for their next meal. When the two small kittens were rescued, Cissy was ill and her sister was helping her. While recovering at the vet they put out their paws and made contact between their two crates - always staying in touch.

Cissy still has a few health issues, but they don't stop her from running and playing. She has so much energy and is usually the last one to bed and the first one up! Perhaps she is making up for the time when she was not able to play. Her older Foster Brother loves to pounce on his sisters, who squeal and run. Can you add Cissy to your family and give her a forever home?

George - Bombay Mix

You are here:
Lovable, sweet, timid, easy going

I am young boy who knows to enjoy the good stuff in life. Good food, comfy bed, treats and lot of cat nip.  My human provided the goodies for me and a lot of love and cuddles. Unfortunately, she crossed the rainbow and left me in a temporary home while I could find my for ever home.  I am used to human love and affection, I do appreciate a patient and compassionate human that pet me and scratch my furry head. I pay back with purrs and warming her lap.

Jimmy - Maine Coon mix

You are here:
Gentle, calm, lovable

I am Jimmy, a gentle, calm, and cautious lap cat who loves my human caregivers. I can be a little hesitant and am not fan of longer petting sessions, and sometimes get overstimulated. I will purr when you scratch my furry head but would like a savvy cat person who can give me space when I need it. (I love affection from my humans in small doses.) I am also happy to spend the day away by the window or on top of the cat tower near my best friend Mitzvah (also on this website), with whom I have bonded while living in our foster home. I am a great calm companion cat who won't bother you while you work. I would do best in a home where I don't have to interact with dogs or kids, and with someone who is patient enough to approach me on my terms, respect my space and not interfere with my cat naps.

I have recently lost my human mom. She unexpectedly crossed the rainbow, so I could look sad at times. I would love to have a compassionate human with warm arms and heart, to rest and spend my senior years.

Please fill out our application (at the link below), if you are looking for a calm and gentle and senior guy like me.

Marshmallow

You are here:
Salvage Yard Daisies

I'm Marshmallow.  I'm the sweet curious boy with big eyes.  I have cute spots on my head and a bent tail.  (We don't know what happened)   I have big long legs so I'll probably be a tall boy.   I'm almost a professional soccer player.  I use "the legs" as my goal posts.  The fuzz ball must stay with the legs.  We play jumping and dancing on "the legs" to get the fuzzy. I've got the moves!  I like to be on someone.  Especially if it means I can play king of the mountain on the legs.  I love to guard the legs from my brother and sisters.  I jump at my siblings and spit at them protecting my prized spot on top of leg mountain.  I make it the best game!  I'm now out of the baby room causing excitement and joy all over the house!

I'm also a very helpful companion in the bathroom.  I love drawers! (tmi I know) Don't worry, cats are very clean. The There's nothing better than to play in the sweat pants/shorts.  They've got strings and pockets and hidey holes. I get my siblings from my secret lair in the shorts. They are a great place to play.  I've got the cutest personality to go along with all this fun.  I'm looking for an awesome human team.  We can be number one!

Background: Hello everybody!  We are five cutie pies FlanneryIsabella,  PansyCoffee & Cream and Marshmallow.  Well look at us, popping up like daisies in the junkyard!  Pretty babies don't belong here. A nice lady took one look at photos of us on the radiators and said: "That's not right."  So she rescued us and got our mommy fixed up too.  We had to have a bath to get all the oil and dirt off and then we had to have a good snuggle. We started eating like good little piggies. We got our vetting done. Now we are already for forever homes with lots of love and entertainment for our families/cat parents

He does well with other cats who are gentle like him and enjoys playing with his current foster kitten sister, but would be just fine as an only cat. He currently lives with well trained, cat-friendly dogs, whom he ignores

Reggie - Brown Tabby - Kitten

You are here:
Sweet, affectionate, playful, bonded pair

Charlie and Reggie are two bonded siblings that were found when playing on a man's yard. These two boys were stilling the man's old dog food and popping in his flower bed...unintentionally.
The gentleman got upset and captured the two crazy boys. Luckily on his way to the shelter, he told the story to his coworkers who is cat lover and offered to foster the boys until they find a lovely home.

Reggie is the big brother very playful, high energy and protective of little sibling Charlie.
The both are bonded to play and cuddle.  It is very entertaining to watch them playing and "talking" since they have their own comunicaton code of thrilling and purring.

Charlie and Reggie should be adopted as a bonded pair. They will do better in a home without dogs.

Sadie - Orange Tabby

You are here:
Lovely, very calm, affectionate, tripod

I am a very sweet young tripod cat. I could seem shy at first when I meet new people but once I am petted and given treats, I warm up and start trusting people.  I am very special cat--not only am I an orange female (we are rare!), but I also walk in three legs without difficulty.

I am actually a miracle kitty because I was rescued after being hit by a car on a busy road in Tomball, Houston. My leg was dangling after the accident and could not be saved, but my foster mom took me home and cared for me with such love and dedication that I grew up strong and confident. Being a tripod doesn't stop me from being loving, friendly and cuddly cat.

The horrific accident happened when I was a stray kitten, I am a young adult fully recovered now and searching for a forever home since my caring foster mom crossed the rainbow 🙁

I am in a temporary home with my foster mate Glory (Tuxedo), who is like my foster sister that cuddles and comforts me. It would be fantastic to be adopted together.

If you are looking for a special loving cat, I am your girl!

Taffy would be a great companion for someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle. If you are an avid book reader, movie watcher or PC guru, Taffy would fit right in. She prefers peace and quiet to loud noisy households. She will come up to you on her own terms and want to get head rubs or be brushed.

Taffy is not a fan of being picked up and carried around; she prefers to follow you and investigate what you're doing.
