Brenda

You are here:

Special Needs Kitty - My name is Brenda and I am 3 years old.  I have raised four adorable children (Bridget, Barry, Bryan and Brody), but now I am ready to start a new chapter in my life.

I was a good Mom, but it was a bit of a struggle as I have sight in only one eye.  The specialist said that there is nothing that can be done to return the sight to that eye, but there is no pain or disease.  Don't feel sorry for me though, as I get along just fine.  I am used to holding my own in a group of cats and I my favorite time of day is dinner time.  I do like to eat!

So if you don't mind a kitty who occaisionally bumps into items and one who has soft, squishy love handles, please consider adding me to your family.  I'm a Mom - I know about love.

If you are interested in this cat and would like to fill out an application, go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . You may fax the completed application to 713-721-9560 or mail it to HOPE at PO Box 273331, Houston, TX 77277. If you like to play ball and have a birdie on a stick toy, please consider adding me to your family. I promise to poop in my box and love you forever.

There are four "kids" in my family including me.  My little brother Barry, who is the quiet one and brother Bryan is the smart one.  We even have a sister Bridget - she is okay for a girl.  As for me, I've been called the handsome one, which you can see for yourself in my picture. (I think red is my color, though not everyone can pull off feathers!)  I love to play games of ball and birdie on a stick, but I also enjoy a good nap in the afternoon followed by a mandatory belly rub.

Looking for a cat with a dog's personality? Look no further! D'Angelo is a spunky, playful boy who loves to meet new people. He was born around March 15, 2016 and found on the street at 7 months old, eating takeout food on the sidewalk. Despite his rough start, he's a friendly and outgoing cat with a huge appetite.

He loves eating and is very food-motivated - you could train him to be an Acro Cat! He's also very chatty and will "chirp" hello at you.

D'Angelo has a lot of energy and loves to play, so the best home for him would be one where he's the only pet (and the star of attention) or with a young cat of the same age who wants to play too! He doesn't know any dogs or children, but he tries to be friends with the other kitties in his foster home.

Molly

You are here:

Born in April 2014, Molly is a cute tuxedo girl who can’t wait to find her “forever home”. Molly had a hard childhood and last year at this time was a very cold and lonely adolescent. She grew up with lots of fast cars and boy cats around her and this past spring found herself an unwed teen mother of 9 kittens. Luckily, right about the time she was deciding how to decorate her nursery and raise her family, she found a foster mom with 6 fur kids of her own and no good sense who took her in. A naturally sweet and affectionate young lady, she was the best mom ever and yet, despite the rigors of young motherhood she has retained a girlish need for lots of crazy playtime and affection. Mortimer

You are here:

Born in March 2016, Mortimer and his brother Mickey were brought to a HOPE adoption site when they were about 5 days old. They were so small we couldn’t tell for sure that they were kittens – they looked like little mice. This was the origin of their names. (Mortimer was Mickey Mouse’s first name at Disney.) The brothers were bottle-fed by their HOPE foster and are now in excellent health.

Mortimer is a high energy kitten that loves to play. He's a little more independent than his brother Mickey but does love to cuddle at night. When they are together, Mortimer cleans Mickey and makes sure his brother looks his best. He does not know dogs but should be ok with one that is not aggressive. He does not know children.

If you are interested in Mortimer and would like to fill out a Cat Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt him but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. Percy

Estimated DOB is April 2011.

Percy is a gorgeous solid white cat with pale yellow-green eyes.  He is looking for a home without other cats but likes small calm dogs.  A home without children would also be his preference.  Percy was adopted as a tiny kitten, then returned when he got stressed out by lots of changes in his home and he stopped using the litter box.  He had a terrible UTI but his owners never took him to the vet to have it cured.  He is now faithfully using his box.  He loves to be near you and likes to rub against your leg for attention. He is a good bed buddy who snuggles up next to you to sleep through the night.  If you want a handsome snuggle buddy then Percy is the one for you!

Pinta

You are here:
Pinta can be fickle (as most cats tend to be), but she is incredibly affectionate and talkative.
Estimated DOB is May 2015.

Pinta was found a few houses down from her foster family. She and her brother, Gringo, were starving on a front lawn. After being taken off of the streets, she has become very gracious with her rescuer. Pinta got her name from the Spanish word "pintar" (which means to paint) because of her beautifully painted calico coat and black rimmed eyes.

Pinta can be fickle (as most cats are) but she is incredibly affectionate and talkative. She is shy and it takes her time to warm up, so a gentle person with patience would be an ideal match for her. Her favorite toy is the turbo scratcher, but any bouncy toy or a feathered wand will grab her attention. Playing with her and giving her moist treats is a sure way to win her heart. Pinta also loves to be groomed and cuddles afterwards. She looks forward to having a loving forever home. Please consider giving her one!

He is also a big night time snuggler

Prince

PRINCE can rock your world.  I can sing you a purr song and you won't need a red corvette to make my motor run.  Just lots of love and fun.  Toys and a lap are my favorite things.   I'm very sweet and playful, always ready for an enthusiastic game of chase or mouse toy.  I certainly don't want any purple rain.  But I love soft cozy napping spots.  No doves because I will make them cry.  My birds need to be the toy kind.  Now about your face - it might need a Kiss.  Come see me, we could be in purrfect harmony.

Sugar Dot - Arabelle

You are here:

Meet ARABELLE.  She is one of five little “midnight silkies” with twinkle toes.  All four of her toes twinkle bright and she has a little twinkle dot on her lip.

She is like a little fairy flitting around the house gracing it with spunk and beauty.  She doesn't need a lot of hugs and cuddles to have fun, she makes her own.  Arabelle likes to burrow around in things and her favorite place to hang out is in the window so she can watch all the lizards and birds and bugs.  When she wants love she will show up and stand on you while you are lying down, indicating it's time to pet her. She is very easy going and gets along well with just about everybody (cats).  Cats are her people and she loves them.

Arabelle is happy and can find plenty of things to keep herself entertained.  She is cute and petite and will probably stay very small.

She loves to chase her mice and put them in the litter box.  She likes things that squeak and roll.  Tear some paper and she comes running to catch it and bite it.  Arabelle hopes she can flutter into someone’s life and twinkle bright.

Tigger

You are here:

I'm TIGGER the tiger.  I lead the charge for adventure and exploration.  I take my siblings on house safaris to see what we can find and maybe a place to climb.  Wherever we explore  I'm fearless  but I don't roar.   I might be a perfect house tiger but I love snuggling and petting too.   My humans might need kisses on their neck and ears.  They need to know I care.  And I can warm their lap when the sit in their chair.  My sisters all have short Manx tails, but like any proper tiger I have a long tail to go with my tiger personality.  I have a story to tell and its about a Tiger in Jungle.  I play the part of the tiger your loving home can be the jungle.  Sounds purrfect to me!

Don't tell.)  Since I'm littler than everybody else here they need to know I'm spicy.   I'm not taking any of their pranks.  I'll jump on them.  But if your a gentle person I can be butter in your arms.  Purr, Butta, Purr, Butta, Purr.   You might need some spicy butta who comes in a soft black package.

Wilmer

You are here:

Estimated DOB is April 2016.

Wilmer is a super playful and sweet boy. He was rescued from a wall in a house by a family that had to tear a hole in the wall to get him out- he is one lucky boy! Wilmer loves to run and will sometimes have a small chat with his foster mom while playing. He is a purr machine and will snuggle sometimes at night- unless he’s busy playing! Wilmer is a joy!!
