Baby Bear

You are here:

Hi! I am Baby-Bear. My brother Starbuck and I were born March 7, 2017 and are the cutenesses of West U. But we're not looking to rob any honey bees or chase any white whales. We are on a quest for our furrever home with wonderful people. We like soft stuff and we love to race around. Right now it's hot, but we are oh so cool! When it gets cold we'll warm your nice soft bed, or snuggling your sleepy head! I'll sweeten your coffee for you! We love to be cute and precious and held like little babies. We're pretty sure you might need us to brighten your life with a little mischief & joy.

Come see us and apply to be our furry people. Don't forget we have an adoption fee! That's to keep the bees and whales safe! Okay, it might be for vetting, vaccines, flea treatment, etc. but we're pretending it's to keep our hunting abilities from developing.

Chloe's foster mom's house got flooded in Hurricane Harvey so Chloe is staying at a cattery where she gets to socialize with other cats and lay in the window sill in the sunshine.  She loves to have her ears rubbed and relax in her cat bed.  She is a very low maitenance cat and would like nothing more than to have a person all her own that she can be the pampered cat she deserves to be!

Cici is just a little shy at first but very alert and curious.  After a can of food and playtime, you will be best friends.  CiCi cannot resist a laser light; one day that red dot will be hers!  High places are CiCi's favorite, and the top of the kitty tower is fantastic.  When she is up high and you reach over to rub her ears, all is good.  Bird watching is CiCi's new favorite activity, even on the television.  At the end of the day, she likes to sit with you on the sofa or sleep in bed with her people.

Cissy

You are here:

Born in May, 2017, Cissy and her sister Sassy were rescued from an apartment complex in SW Houston where children were torturing small animals and hawks were looking for their next meal. When the two small kittens were rescued, Cissy was ill and her sister was helping her. While recovering at the vet they put out their paws and made contact between their two crates - always staying in touch.

Cissy still has a few health issues, but they don't stop her from running and playing. She has so much energy and is usually the last one to bed and the first one up! Perhaps she is making up for the time when she was not able to play. Her older Foster Brother loves to pounce on his sisters, who squeal and run. Can you add Cissy to your family and give her a forever home?

D'Angelo

Looking for a cat with a dog's personality? Look no further! D'Angelo is a spunky, playful boy who loves to meet new people. He was born around March 15, 2016 and found on the street at 7 months old, eating takeout food on the sidewalk. Despite his rough start, he's a friendly and outgoing cat with a huge appetite.

He loves eating and is very food-motivated - you could train him to be an Acro Cat! He's also very chatty and will "chirp" hello at you.

D'Angelo has a lot of energy and loves to play, so the best home for him would be one where he's the only pet (and the star of attention) or with a young cat of the same age who wants to play too! He doesn't know any dogs or children, but he tries to be friends with the other kitties in his foster home.

The Foster thought she was a boy and named her "Hungry Jack".  The vet corrected the misunderstanding and she was transformed into Happy. We believe Happy belonged to a family who kicked her out after she had kittens. (No kittens have been found.) She loves people and eating is still her favorite activity. Margaret

You are here:

Found in September, 2013 at 2 months, living in or near the dumpster at her foster mom’s vet. She is a very sweet loving girl. Is outgoing, loves to be held. Very much a human companion cat--a lap cat who always wants to be where her human is

She does not like other cats and would be best placed in a one-cat home, but does fine with dogs and with children over 6 who are animal-aware. She is calm and easygoing most of the time and is very good about using the scratching post and NOT the furniture

She is the only tabby kitty in her litter that was born in her foster’s backyard. She is a lap kitty that will sleep next to you at night. Purrs like crazy and will talk to you. She greets her foster family when they come home. Foster mom would keep her but she has too many kitties. She will make you extremely happy.

Moody

You are here:
Born in July, 2017, Moody is a shy but loving cat who just needs a little time to warm up to new poeple. She loves playtime, both with her two siblings and with people, which is the best way to get her out of her shell. While not a cuddler, she likes having her human within sight and chilling out. She often greets her foster parents when they come home by swishing her tail as a signal that she wants to be pet. She's named after Mad-Eye Moody from Harry Potter for her cloudy left eye which poses no health risk and doesn't seem to affect her vision at all.

Pike

You are here:

Estimated Date of Birth 7/25/15 - Pike is a slightly chubby two year old Siamese mix boy who loves to be picked up and cuddled.  His Foster Mom says he would sit beside her or on her lap all day if allowed.  But Pike also likes to play and is currently enjoying some kittens that are visiting at his home. Pike's right ear was injured when he was a kitten, so it does not stand up as straight as the left one and it gives him an especially cute look.  Could you give this cuddly fellow a forever home?

I'm a short tailed Manx like my mommy.  So you know I have a wonderful Manx personality.  If you need some spice in your life, add love and you and I can make the purrfect recipe.

Spot

You are here:

SPOT it, I got it! Chase it, bite it, I'll growl about it. That's my bird toy! No, it's mine! To understand me Ice Age you need to see. You know those two possums Crash and Eddie? Well that's my brother TOUPEE and me. Mischievous and spunky, we are always pulling pranks on each other. Two peas in a pod. We're a blast. Of course we will let you join in. More the merrier we say.  Loads of fun we love to run, chase and play. Pretty much all day. Quality entertainment; we'll make you laugh. When we aren't up to our possum tricks we curl up together in our favorite box. Take a little nap to rest up for our next round. We are a handful to be sure. Two little characters you see. But with what a joy and a pleasure to be. Wow, you can't go wrong with us. We are like little beams of sunshine dancing to laughter.

Check out my brother TOUPEE, he's funny, because he's wearing a toupee!  Ha ha, he he.  We want to go to our loving furrever home together so we can keep the fun a ton.

Stormy was about one month old when he was found by himself at an apartment complex in SW Houston where children and adults torture small animals. The rescuers got him out the next day! He is a healthy, active kitten that snuggles one mintute and chases after a foster brother or sister the next. This little boy had a tough start to life and deserves to live with a family who will cherish him forever.

Tigger

You are here:

HI! I’m Tigger. My brother, Winnie, and I were rescued from the Spring Branch area along with several other cats and kittens. I was born in July, 2017 and am a curious, playful kitten once I get used to my surroundings. Most people find it hard to tell me and my brother apart, but I think it’s easy! I’m the one who loves to pounce on my brother to start a friendly game of chase. I have fun hiding in tunnels and chasing ping pong balls. I love to use my scratching post and look out the window from my perch on the top of my cat tree. I also like to find my foster mom so she can give me head scratches and love on me. I tell her thank you by purring loudly. Once I check in with my foster mom I’m ready to rush off to play some more. When I’m tired, I like a nice quiet place where I can rest and recharge, preferably cuddled up right next to my brother.

Violet

You are here:

Yeah, I'm no wilting VIOLET. Yes, I have a lovely name and I am oh so sweet. But don't let that fool you, I can wrestle with the boys and make them squeal. I might be a little fiesty, but that's good we can't all be milk toast and sugary sweet. (Confession - I am a cuddly purr box with foster mom. Don't tell.) Since I'm littler than everybody else here they need to know I'm spicy. I'm not taking any of their pranks. I'll jump on them. But if your a gentle person I can be butter in your arms. Purr, Butta, Purr, Butta, Purr. You might need some spicy butta who comes in a soft black package.

Winnie

You are here:

Hello, my name is Winnie. My brother, Tigger and I were born in July, 2017. We were part of a group of cats and kittens that were rescued from the Spring Branch area. Where my brother likes to pounce, I am a bit more cautious. I like to explore my surroundings a bit more calmly and cautiously than my brother but when he starts a game of chase, I am totally up for that.  I like to chase toys and practice my pouncing skills with toys on a string. My favorite game is hair band hockey.  I bat my foster mom’s hair band along the floor and chase it down the hallway. My foster mom knows just how I like to be petted on my neck and down my back. I rub on her to pet her back. My favorite sleeping spot is inside my travel kennel where it is dark and quiet. I especially love it when my brother joins me for a nap.  He makes a great pillow to lay on.
