(Mr.) Noel #lap-kitty-bed-buddy
DOB 7/12/21
I'm (Mr.) Noel, just your perfect feline companion! I'm a very friendly, affectionate, loving, easygoing, and active spotted cream tabby. My foster mom calls me her favorite "lap kitten" and her "bed buddy" because I love to snuggle. I was rescued as a baby and bottle-fed by my human, so I love being carried around. I live with cats and dogs, so I get along well with other cats and cat-friendly dogs.
Why am I a "special needs" kitty? I was recently diagnosed with diabetes insipidus. It is easily controlled with daily eyedrops, but I will need an experienced owner who can give me my drops every day, and monitor my drinking and...um...output in case dosage needs to be adjusted by the vet.
HOPE ID 21-0814-A050
If you are interested in (Mr.) Noel and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to https://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. Amber #stylish-six-kitten
DOB 3/1/23
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Amber, and I’m a brown mackerel tabby gal who got her name because of the prominent amber blaze on my nose as well as amber patches on my paws and coat. I’m the smart, quick-learning, companion-seeking member of the “stylish six” litter of tabbies.
Our future foster parents noticed our pregnant feral momma in their yard, so they started feeding her. She birthed us under their deck, and one day we appeared up on the deck and joined momma at her feeding station. When they saw a rain storm coming, they left their garage door cracked. Of course we found dry refuge inside the garage, and when they discovered us the next day, they brought us inside.
And that’s where we’ve been living happily ever since we were five weeks old! I’ve got to give my foster parents credit that they worked hard to make sure that we became well socialized, so we’ve developed into sweet, loving, trusting, as well as adorable kittens.
Arrange to meet me today! And consider adopting me with one of my siblings. Two’s better than one, and we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation!

Aspen
DOB 4/1/22
Aspen is an easy-going, well- mannered kitty. She is the total package: well behaved, undemanding, gentle, and loves to sit in laps. Aspen came into HOPE with a litter of kittens and then acted as a nurse-maid to four other orphaned kittens. Now Aspen is ready to take it easy and live the good life with a new family. Are you her savior?

Bagheera #black-panther
DOB 9/10/22
Looking for a bedfellow? One who won't take all the blankets or infringe on your personal space? Bagheera, which is Hindi for "panther," may be the guy for you. He's extremely shy and will take time to adjust to your home, but once he does, he'll be your constant companion. He won't ask for much but will want to be with you and occasionally sit in your lap. His second favorite place to rest is on an ottoman or in a cardboard box.
Are you a patient, caring person? Bagheera would love to meet you.

Barbie #New-Years-Day-kitty
DOB 1/1/17
Hi there! I’m Barbie, an affectionate, sweet-faced bicolor tabby gal who’s mostly white with silver tabby on my head, torso, and tail. I’m an outgoing, spunky, but opinionated little lady who absolutely loves to cuddle in my foster meowmy’s lap.
I’m a playful girl whose favorite things are kitty tunnels, boxes, and toy mice. When I need a "time out" after playing or from my housemates, I prefer to bask in sunbeams on the windowsill or curl up on top of the refrigerator.
I get along pretty well with other foster kitties and would do well in a household with a laid-back cat or dog but probably not with small children. Arrange to meet me today!

Bas #golden-boy
DOB 4/11/22
Howdy everyone! I’m Bas, the Golden Boy, a happy, very playful, curious tawny-gold “tuxedo” tabby with white mittens and vest. My foster meowmy describes me as “studiously” smart and independent as well as having a very sweet disposition. I’m a gentle boy who’s drawn to her and other animals for affectionate engagement, which is my mantra.
I was found as a stray off Cullen Boulevard, but thankfully HOPE stepped in to find me a forever home. Even though I'm an orphan kitten, I fit in immediately to the dynamics of my foster home, which includes felines of all ages as well as dogs of all shapes and sizes.
I adjusted beautifully and wasted no time before I was playing with the other foster kittens. Fortunately there is a litter that is just few weeks older than I am, and we have a blast tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling.
I’m mesmerized when I track the sounds of balls with bells and other toys that roll or move. I love also to chase foam balls, catnip mice, and wand toys, and when I'm thoroughly exhausted from my kitten antics, I collapse in a kitten puddle.
Arrange to meet me today! I’d do best in a home with other felines with whom I could engage. It’d be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with one of my foster-mates with whom I’ve already bonded so well. We could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. I’d be deeply appreciative if you’d choose me to join you in your loving home.

Beto
DOB 9/1/22
Here's Beto, a guy who tries hard to be loveable but hasn't had a lot of loving and acceptance. He is very introverted and yearns for attention but needs time to adjust to a new home. Beto came from the rough streets of Houston and would love to find a quiet home to shower him with love and teach him how to play.

Birdie #loves-to-cuddle
DOB 7/1/22
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Birdie, a friendly, affectionate, playful, and uniquely marked tuxedo gal who received my name because I chirp like a birdie to show my delight. That could be when I snuggle with my foster meowmy, or when I’m pouncing on a catnip mouse, or when I’m anticipating a yummy meal.
I’m an engaging lass who likes nothing better than Foster Meowmy’s showering me with attention, but my lovely personality doesn’t demand this of her. I can be by myself all day without complaining but happily greet Meowmy at the door when she returns.
I was alone and terrified, inconspicuously curled up at the base of a tree when Foster Meowmy found me. Thank heavens she scooped me up without blinking an eye and carried me home to safety. She did her due diligence to locate my owner, but since I had no chip or ID tag, she was unsuccessful. I was obviously someone’s pet because I have perfect scratching-post and litter-box manners.
I’m grateful that Meowmy has promised to find me a fantastic forever home the second time around! I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! Who wouldn’t fall in love with an adorable face like mine? We can play a game as to whether the white blaze on my face looks like an upside-down heart or a white-chocolate Hershey's kiss.

Bishop #incredibly-affectionate
DOB 10/31/22
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Bishop, an incredibly affectionate, gentle yet playful Russian Blue mix fella who adores quality cuddle time with my hooman foster family. When Foster Meowmy holds me close, I relish the warmth and love she communicates. She likes it that I’m quite the conversationalist with my soft, delighted meows!
And the most exciting part of my day is when my foster family engages me with my favorite feather wand toy. I love to display my athletic prowess as I leap and pounce at my “prey.” When my hoomans are busy, I’m content to entertain myself as I happily scamper after balls with bells, crinkle toys, and catnip mice.
My foster meowmy found me trying to share the food she leaves for her colony of community cats. I was screaming for help as well as covered in fleas. She found out from a neighbor that I was a pet kitten whom another neighbor had abandoned.
I was starved because her cat colony wouldn’t share their food, and I’d already gotten in a fight with one of the community cats. Because I was young and so friendly, she scooped me up and brought me inside. When she fed me and eliminated the pesky fleas, I knew that she was one lady to adore! And I do!
Although my early life was filled with hardships, I’m a resilient and optimistic fella. After enduring the hardscrabble life of an abandoned pet, I’m grateful for the safety and comfort that I’ve found in my foster home.
I’m anticipating my forever home where I’ll continue to flourish and grow. Hopefully I’ll be just as cherished as I am in my foster home. I’m an adaptable, friendly fella who would be fine as a solo kitty who’s the center of attention or as a member of a “herd” who shares the fellowship of other furry housemates.
Arrange to meet me today so we can write new chapters in our lives together. My heart has so much love to give, all I need is YOU!

Black Jack #checks-things-out
DOB 12/21/22
Looking for a kitty who is not a wild man, but more of a thoughtful, purposeful kitty? Black Jack might be your guy. He prefers to hold back a little and check things out before jumping in. Black Jack gets along well with his sisters Spring and Pepper. If they play, he plays. If they snuggle and sleep, he does the same. It's not that he's co-dependent, but he lacks a little self-confidence. Do you have a laid-back environment that would welcome a "thinker" kitty?

Blue #tip-top-trio
DOB 3/4/2023
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Blue, a sweet, active, friendly, and sociable gray tabby fella with white tuxedo markings whose slogan is “play very hard, and then snuggle in bed with Foster Meowmy.” Along with my brothers Delta and Echo, I’m one of the #Tip-Top-Trio of kittens who was brought by our friendly stray momma Mia when we were three weeks old to a lady’s apartment back patio. Thank heavens our future foster meowmy stepped up to the plate and agreed to foster our whole family!
I love to explore and play inside the long kitty tunnel as well as sit a bit in a cardboard box. I’m always looking for another critter to play with. That could be my siblings, Momma Mia, the resident dog, or the other cats and foster kittens, including Yoon-gi, who’s a solo orphan who’s exactly our age. After I’m exhausted from chasing all the critters around the house, I collapse in a kitten puddle with my brothers and my toys.
Arrange to meet me today! And consider adopting a pair of us because two is better than one – and more fun! That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Brave Boy #frisky-four-kitten
DOB 2/27/23
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Brave Boy, and I got my name because I was the first kitten in my litter to walk out of the crate and lead the pack. I’m a sweet, adorable, loving, and trusting grey tabby fella with strong black mackerel stripes. I’m one of the super-playful Frisky Four litter, but once playtime is over, I enjoy nudging and purring my foster parents as we sit on the sofa to binge on Netflix or Animal Planet.
I love to play with my siblings – tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling until we collapse in a kitten puddle. My newest gig is playing kitty soccer as I bat around and chase balls up and down the hallway like I’m a Houston Dynamo. My favorite toy is a green and white mouse, and my favorite sibling is Princess.
My litter was born to a pure white feral momma in a shed in our future foster parents’ back yard. They would check on us daily, bring us food, toys, and blankets. When we were six weeks old and ready to be weaned, they “kidnapped” our feral momma to spay her. That’s when they brought us inside their house to our own playroom. At first we were scared, but they socialized us so that we’re not timid anymore.
Arrange to meet me today! And consider adopting a pair of us as two is better than one – and a lot more fun! We can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Caesar #giant-cuddler
DOB 4/1/18
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Caesar, but everyone in my household knows me as King Caesar. I’m a handsome, sweet-faced, gentle giant of a 20-pound brown tabby fella with a large white locket on my chest. I’m very much a people-cat who loves my entire family, including the well-behaved kids. I’m a snuggler whose favorite spots are someone’s lap on the sofa or against their thigh in bed. I luxuriate when the family pets me, particularly ear- and chin-scratches, but beware – I’ll give a love nip if a hand moves too fast like prey or if I’ve had enough petting!
I’m a lap cat, but I don’t like to be picked up because it’s not comfy for such a big boy as I am. Meowmy is working with the vet on a weight-loss/exercise program for me so that I can slowly shed a few pounds, and it is working.
Thank heavens that I’m no couch potato! No siree! I’m a playful dude who loves to catch toys. You name it, I’ll catch it! And I’m a regular Marco Polo because I love to explore behind open doors of closets and cabinets.
I get along with people better than I do other animals. I don’t mind cat-friendly dogs as long as they don’t bark a lot or chase me. Frankly, I’d do better in a house with no other cats because they scare me and stress me out. It would be fine with me if I were an “only pet-child.”
I guess you’re wondering why my beloved family has to search for a new indoor-only home for me. Well, they dearly love me too, but my hooman Mom is has a very serious medical condition and can no longer care for me. So through no fault of my own, I need YOU to come meet me and take me home to live with you.
And don’t forget that adopting a mature kitty like me who’s out of the crazy kitten stage has its advantages. I'd be much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your favorite possessions.

Chrissie (sister of Nicki)
DOB 10/1/17
Hello everyone! I’m Chrissie, a sweet, quiet, beautiful tuxedo gal with four white mittens and a glossy coat. When Foster Meowmy picks me up, I love to cuddle against her neck. My sister Nicki and I were rescued from dumpster-diving at an apartment complex in southwest Houston.
My favorite parts of the day are treat time and when I get my turn in the hammock. Like human sisters, Nicki and I argue over whose turn it is for lying in the hammock and getting an even share of the treats.
Although we’re available separately, it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. That way we’d keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. If you’re looking for a calm, loving kitty who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem, I’m you girl! Arrange to meet me (and NIcki, for that matter!) today! I can’t wait to snuggle against YOUR neck in my new forever home.

Cleo #loves-people-and-dogs
DOB 3/17/21
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Cleo, such a sweet, friendly, so very affectionate brown tabby girl who got my name because I’m as elegant as Cleopatra. What are a few of my favorite things? #1 People because they pet me. #2 Sofas because they make a great place for me to lounge like Cleopatra (visualize Matisse’s “Odalisque”). #3 Toys because I love to play with them.
I prefer being around dogs to being around other cats. Don’t get me wrong – I’m a quiet girl who minds her own business and doesn’t attack any of the other foster kitties. I’m just better with dogs and only tolerate other cats.
Part of the reason for my aversion to other cats is that I’ve only been recently spayed. Foster Meowmy rescued me as a friendly stray who was in heat and who was roaming in her apartment complex. I quickly came up to her and rubbed between her legs when she called me, which indicated I was someone's pet.
Foster Meowmy scanned me, but I had no microchip. Since it’s rare to see strays here, Foster Meowmy posted “found cat” flyers and listed me on PawBoost. She did her due diligence to find my owners, but no one claimed me. After three weeks, she decided to spay me and put me up for adoption.
So here I am – looking for my future parent. Could that be you? Hopefully you can show me what a forever home feels like. Are you ready for my love and devotion?

Daisy #queen-bee
DOB 5/10/22
Hi everyone! I’m Daisy, a shy, sensitive soul with gigantic round green eyes. I’m a beautiful fawn-colored patched tabby/torbie, which means that I have patches of peach tabby splashed on my otherwise tawny-brown tabby coat. It looks like someone spilled caramel on me in a candy factory.
Because I’m easily stimulated by touch, I’m not a big fan of being picked up. I enjoy being petted gently and lightly on my ears, chin, and side of my face, but I let Foster Meowmy know when she's piled it on too thick and I’ve had enough. Think about it - - you’re the same way when you’ve had enough tickling or deep massaging.
I’m a very happy kitty when Foster Meowmy just lets me do my own thing, like the Queen Bee that I am. I’m an independent gal who’s perfectly happy going off and playing by myself, and I'll come around and initiate some physical interaction when it fancies me. I guess you’d say that I’ve got a mind of my own and don’t hesitate to assert myself over my subjects. Who knows if you're the person who wants a kitty like me who's on the opposite end of the "neediness" spectrum.
Theophile Gautier described me beautifully when he wrote, [A cat] will be your friend, if she finds you worthy of friendship, but NOT your slave.” If you’re up to the challenge of MY owning you instead of vice versa, I’d be delighted to move to your quiet home (without noisy kids) where I can rule my kingdom. No worries if you've got other cats as I'd more than likely be compatible with them.

Deidra #gentle-soul
DOB 01/17/22
Had a busy day at work and ready to relax? There is no better cat to share your home with than Deidra. She's a low-key, well behaved sweetheart who makes you relax just chilling with her.
Deidra is ok either with or without other cats or dogs. She can co-exist with them but is independent and does her own thing. This sweetie appreciates any attention you give her, but doesn't demand your attention. Come meet this gentle soul soon.

Delta #tip-top-trio
DOB 3/4/2023
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Delta, a sweet, active, initially cautious red tabby fella whose slogan is “play very hard, and then snuggle in bed with Foster Meowmy.” Along with my brothers Blue and Echo, I’m one of the #Tip-Top-Trio of kittens who was brought by our friendly stray momma Mia when we were three weeks old to a lady’s apartment back patio. Thank heavens our future foster meowmy stepped up to the plate and agreed to foster our whole family!
I love to explore inside the long kitty tunnel where sometimes I even rest for a bit of snuggling with Echo. I’m always looking for another critter to play with. Duke #lion-king
DOB 7/20/22
Meow! Meow, everyone! I'm Duke, an adorable, friendly, happy, and playful brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings. I don’t let my diminutive size change my believing that I’m a big, brave lion. No siree! I’m a sassy little dude who will walk right up to greet you.
I have the loudest purr motor that you’ve ever heard! In fact, all the vet techs fell in love with me for my bold purring. I’m an absolute sweetheart who loves to cuddle with my foster meowmy. I'm great friends with the hoomans of all ages and other cats in my foster home. Although I haven’t been around dogs, I'm young enough that Foster Meowmy thinks I should get along great with cat-friendly dogs.
My birth momma left my sister and me as orphans in a nice couple’s back yard when we were only four weeks old. The couple fed us for a few days, but they were afraid that we’d fall into the swimming pool and drown, so they turned to our HOPE foster meowmy to find us homes.
I was very bonded to my sister, and we “spoon-slept” together, which means that we slept like nesting spoons. We loved each other and did everything together, but – alas! -- she’s been adopted. I miss her so much that I want Foster Meowmy to hold me all the time now. So, unless you’re an octopus, I need to have a new fur buddy – preferably a kitten – with whom to play and “spoon sleep” in my forever home.
I’m simply the cutest, bravest, and happiest little tabby fella whom you’ll ever meet, and I’d love to snuggle into your home and heart. Arrange to meet me today! I may just get you to guess the decibels on my purr motor, which sounds like an outboard motor!

Echo #tip-top-trio
DOB 3/4/2023
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Echo, a sweet, curious, playful red tabby fella with white tuxedo markings whose slogan is “play very hard, and then snuggle in bed with Foster Meowmy.” Along with my brothers Blue and Delta, I’m one of the #Tip-Top-Trio of kittens who was brought by our friendly stray momma Mia when we were three weeks old to a lady’s apartment back patio. Thank heavens our future foster meowmy stepped up to the plate and agreed to foster our whole family!
She describes me as a “force of nature” because I’m always doing things that are beyond her control. I heard her tell someone, “Echo is always getting into things and messing with everyone else.” Hey, I’m just a fella who hates to be alone, so I’m always exploring the house and looking for another critter to play with. That could be my siblings, Momma Mia, the resident dog, or the other cats and foster kittens, including Yoon-gi, who’s a solo orphan who’s exactly our age.
And I cherish my toys! I especially love the feathered wand toy when Foster Meowmy waves it over my head so that I can display my athletic prowess as I lunge and pounce on it. After I’m exhausted from chasing all the critters around the house, I collapse in a kitten puddle with my brothers and my toys.
Arrange to meet me today! And consider adopting a pair of us because two is better than one – and more fun! That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Elsa #craves-treats
DOB 8/25/21
Hello everyone! I’m Elsa, a sweet, stunningly beautiful black DSH/Bombay mix with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. I’m independent and very inquisitive. I’m initially shy but am so food-driven that I always nudge closer to my foster meowmy for a good treat.
I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings. I can also entertain myself because I love balls with bells, catnip mice, and crinkle toys. Plus I’m very comfortable around the dogs and other cats in my foster home.
Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." I’m so grateful that I was rescued into a foster home because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability.
I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! I’d like nothing better than for you to open your heart and home to me. I’ll need patience and time to come out of my shell in my new digs, but it will be worth the effort! I’m one little black panther who’ll leave tiny paw prints all over your heart

Emma #family-cat
DOB 9/13/22
Emma is a real family cat. She loves playing with the dog and other cats, plus she will perch on your shoulder and lick your face. This sweet little girl is petrified at adoption events but is playful and relaxed in her foster home. Emma is a petite tabby girl and -- oh -- so pretty.
Ask to meet Emma today. She may hide at the adoption event but will be a totally different cat once you get her home and she's had time to adjust.

Fender #loves-children
DOB 8/1/21
Hi everyone! I’m Fender, a very calm, very affectionate, and overall delightful tortoiseshell gal. Although I’m initially shy, I luxuriate in my foster meowmy’s caressing and holding me closely, and I snuggle right up next to her in order to show her my pleasure.
I consider it a real turning point in my life when my foster meowmy rescued me out of an abusive home where a disabled boy was mistreating me. I’m grateful that I’m safe and happy now that I’m securely situated in my loving HOPE foster home. Tensions are gone, and now I can relax.
I get along great with the kids in my foster home, but I’m scared if the dogs.
I eagerly anticipate finding my forever family who will cherish me like my foster meowmy does. Arrange to meet me so we can write new chapters in our lives together.

Fiona #bundle-of-love
DOB 1/1/20
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Princess Fiona. Okay, it’s really just Fiona, but I like to think of myself as a princess. I’m a sweet, loving tortie-and-white gal, which means that I’m mostly black and red-tabby with white tuxedo markings. I LOVE my hoomans, and I mean LOVE them.
I make air biscuits a lot when Foster Meowmy rubs my back and belly, and I’m in kitty heaven when she scratches my chin or ears. Because I have a little bit of an overbite, I often purr with my mouth slightly open, which Foster Meowmy thinks is super cute.
She describes me as “full of love.” Although I don’t like to be picked up and held much, I love to climb up in Foster Meowmy’s lap, sit on her desk, or happily sleep on her bed. Unfortunately, I won’t be a great work-from-home buddy until I learn to stay off Foster Meowmy’s keyboard.
Interestingly, I have a “startle reflex” to scratch out when I don’t know who’s petting me while I sleep or while I’m just staring off into space. Foster Meowmy thinks I shouldn’t be adopted into a home with kids under eight years old because I would hate, in my surprise, to scratch someone by accident.
I merely tolerate the resident cats – as long as they are chill and don’t get in my face. On the other hand, I do not get along at all with the small friendly resident dog. It would be just fine with me if I were the only “pet” child because that means there’d be no competition for my hooman’s attention.
I’m a stunning plus-size model. I’ve got a large frame, but then again, I’m admittedly a little bit chubby. I love food. I see it, and I want to eat it! Since I’m not a picky eater, the best remedy is not to offer me free-choice food all day long. What should do the trick is a feeding schedule and interactive exercise for me to pounce, chase, and lunge when my Foster Meowmy dangles a wand toy over my head.
I was found as a stray in southwest Houston, so I’m grateful for my foster home. However, I know that a home of my very own is what’s best for me. If you’re looking for a kitty who will think that you’re the sun and the moon, I’m the bundle-of-love gal for you! Arrange to meet me!
Incidentally, one of the advantages of adopting an adult kitty like me who's past the rambunctious kitten stage is that I'll create less chaos in your home and not be as likely to break your treasured accessories.

Godzilla #monster-duo-kitty
DOB 8/24/19
Howdy everyone! I’m Godzilla, a goofy, sassy, curious, and energetic brown tabby fella who’s proud of my monster-name. I may be a big boy like Godzilla, but I’m a sweet marshmallow at heart. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share.
I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids.
My sisters Mothra and Woobie were found with me as orphan kittens during Tropical Storm Imelda. My foster mom heard my crying on a driveway, and she says that I’ve continued to let everyone know my opinions ever since. I was the runt of my litter and was bottle-fed by my foster family. Boy did I love my bottle!
Those “nursing” sessions ended up being a great time to bond with my humans and probably explain why I’m so sociable with people. The bottle has now been replaced with cat treats, which have probably contributed to my “plus-size.”
If you’re looking for a friendly feline companion who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood, I’m your man! Although I'm available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with one of my sisters. That way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

Indy #copper-penny-eyes
DOB 9/1/21
Howdy everyone! I’m Indy, a handsome, easy-going black DSH/Bombay mix dude with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and big, copper-penny eyes. It took me a while to learn that being petted, chin scratches, and lap time with my foster dad might just be a good thing. My mom Luna led the way, so I started curling up on my foster dad’s warm chest for a quick power nap and discovered that it was pretty delightful.
My favorite pastimes include following my foster dad into the bathroom (Bombay mixes can be very dog-like), looking handsome, and watching the world go by as I bask in a patch of sunshine on a windowsill. My favorite likes are dry food, toys with tassels, and warm beds.
I hope you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." I’m so glad that I came to my HOPE foster home because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of their outstanding personalities and emotional stability.
Arrange to meet me today. Find out if YOUR chest could be my next napping station!

Joanie #harlequin-lass
DOB 9/01/21
Mew! Mew, everyone! I'm sweet and loving Joanie, a beautifully-marked "harlequin" gal who's very sociable, easygoing, and undemanding. In case you're not familiar with a "harlequin" cat because we're pretty rare, I'm mostly white with several large patches of black outlined in silver tabby on my head, back, and tail - kind of like a pinto or piebald horse. I'm a sight for sore eyes, if I do say so myself!
Let's see - what are a few of my favorite things?
*Neck scratches, for one!
*Finding a patch of sunshine on the windowsill so I can sunbathe while I nap.
*Getting myself all comfy in a hidey hole like an enclosed bed or even a box.
You see, I was heavily pregnant when I was found scrounging around for food outside a country Dollar Store in the middle of nowhere. I birthed my three kittens, Maggie, Max, and Oreo, shortly after a HOPE volunteer rescued me and brought me inside her home.
Sometimes I can be a little quiet and shy because I’ve been a bit disrupted by being shifted among several foster homes through no fault of my own. I'd love to luxuriate in the peace and quiet of your home, so come to meet me and become my forever family!

KitKat #lounges-with-meowmy
DOB 3/16/21
Well hello! I’m KitKat, a sweet-tempered, playful dilute tortoiseshell gal who loves to lounge around with my foster meowmy. If she’s not available, I’ll bask in a patch of sunshine on the windowsill and watch the squirrels and birds and the rest of the world go by.
But I’m no couch potato! No sirree! I can play with the best of them! I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with the other foster kittens, and when we’re all tuckered out, we’ll collapse in a kitten puddle.
I can entertain myself too with balls with bells, catnip mice, and crinkle toys. I live to hunt and fetch lost toys.
Foster Meowmy says that I’m beautiful AND a real sweetie, so you best waste no time arranging to meet me today. I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

Little Bobbie #snuggle-girl
DOB 4/7/22
Hello everyone! I’m Little Bobbie, and I’m an adorable, petite dilute gray tabby kitten with white mittens and locket. Don’t you love my sweet, angelic face?
I was a two-week-old orphan, covered in leaves and sticks, when I was rescued from a field. Neighbors had witnessed dogs chasing away my mother; alas, she never re-appeared. Several cat lovers took me inside and bottle-fed me along with several other bottle-babies, Butch, Sundance, and Violet, who are my same age.
I have so much fun playing with my surrogate siblings. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re exhausted from all the fun, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’d love to be adopted with one of my favorite playmates. That way we can play all day while you work or go on vacation.
I get along great with the 3 resident adult cats and 2 big dogs in my foster home, so there are a lot of households where I would fit like a glove. Arrange to meet me today!

Maple #green-eyed-sweetheart

Maple's Personal Ad:
I am a pretty, young female "tabico" (tabby-calico) who's looking for a really loving companion. I am healthy and have the most incredible sage-green eyes.
I am young enough to have a playful side but mature enough not be be wild or destructive. I love a good game of laser pointer and scaling tall kitty trees.
I am looking for a serious relationship with a family with kids or an individual who will love me until the end of time. Did I forget to mention I am a first-class purr machine?

Mia #bed-buddy
DOB 4/15/22
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Mia, a gentle, friendly, easy-going, playful patched tabby with white tuxedo markings who loves to spend time in my foster meowmy’s lap or bed. Don't you love my prominent peach-colored blaze on my nose and forehead?
I was a friendly, abandoned young stray who was living paw-to-mouth in an apartment complex. One day I brought my three 3-week-old kittens to the lady who had been feeding me. One thing led to another, and I eventually arrived in my HOPE foster home, where I proved to be a loving and protective teenage momma.
Now that my kits are weaned and I’m “fixed,” I’m ready for my forever home. I’d do great in a home with other cats or dogs but probably not young children. I’m young and playful yet past the kitten craziness, so I’d be much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your prized possessions. Arrange to meet me today!

Ming #ting-a-ling
DOB 3/3/21
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Ming, a sweet and gorgeous dilute-calico Turkish Van/Siamese mix gal with mesmerizing Liz-Taylor baby blues. I'm mostly white with dilute calico markings on my head and tail. I’m beauty, charm, and grace all wrapped up into one. I absolutely love my foster meowmy -- not only because she engages me with the fabric-string wand toy but also because she saved my life!
You see, my former deadbeat owner brought me (intact) to the vet to be euthanized because I had a broken tooth. Can you imagine the heartlessness of that? Fortunately, the vet contacted future Foster Meowmy, and she agreed to sponsor me in the HOPE adoption program.
Easy peasy -- my loose tooth was extracted during my spay surgery, and here I am, grateful to her to be alive! I make sure that I spend lots of time communicating with appreciative chirps and purrs to Foster Meowmy (as well as everyone I meet) how happy I am.
I get along with the other foster kitties, especially one named Tallie because we tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other. There are no dogs or kids in my foster home, but overall I’m pretty laid-back and mellow, so perhaps I’d do great around them too.
My heart has so much love to give, all I need is YOU! Make my fairy-tale rescue complete by welcoming me into your home! Incidentally, one of the advantages of adopting a young kitty like me who’s past the rambunctious kitten stage is that I’ll create less chaos in your home and not be as likely to break your treasured accessories.

Missy Longstocking #docile-lapcat
DOB 4/15/22
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m very, very sweet, friendly, and curious Missy Longstocking, a sleek, elegant harlequin gal with big jade-globe eyes and who’s mostly white with large patches of dark gray. Foster Meowmy named me “Longstocking” because I’m tall with graceful legs that look to be wearing gray stockings. Meowmy is amazed that I don’t have one ounce of “catitiude,” and I heard her exclaiming that I’m the most docile cat she’s ever met.
Although I’m not a big fan of being picked up, I happily curl up in Foster Meowmy’s lap and turn on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffeepot. We then enjoy prime-time together as she gently brushes me or offers me my favorite TikiCat-brand squeezable treats. But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I adore interactive play as Foster Meowmy waves the fishing-wand toy over my head because I can show off my acrobatic prowess as I lunge and pounce on my “prey.”
How did I, as such a stunningly beautiful thoroughbred-like kitty, end up needing a home? A Good Samaritan was driving down Beltway 8 when she spotted me, partially inside a bag, as I huddled in the median. Thank heavens that my rescuer’s not scared of much, so she pulled over and grabbed me fast. Upon closer scrutiny when we got home, she saw that I was a little bruised and very traumatized but overall healthy and uninjured.
Now that my nicks and scrapes have healed and I’m fully vetted, I’m happily and safely ensconced in my foster home awaiting my forever family. I haven’t been around kids or other cats yet, but I was fine around a small, polite dog and terrified around a barking Doberman. (Now who wouldn't be?) Since I’m friendly and well-adjusted, I might be very compatible with well-behaved children and cat-friendly dogs. Other cats? TBD.
If you’re looking for a beautiful and resilient Lady-Long-Legs, I’m your gal! Arrange to meet me so we can exchange warm cuddles and you can guess the decibels on my purr motor. Incidentally, one of the advantages of adopting a young kitty like me who's past the rambunctious kitten stage is that I'll create less chaos in your home and not be as likely to break your treasured accessories.

Misty #lap-kitty
DOB 7/1/22
Sweet, sweet Misty was abandoned by her family as a kitten and had to fend for herself. She became pregnant at a very young age and had her babies outside. The six-month-old kittens are being TNR'd since they are wild, but Misty is very calm and sweet. She was taken to a vet, who spayed her but saw that her eye was damaged and needed to be removed.
Despite her rough beginning, Misty is gentle, if a bit shy initially. Misty loves the good life, which includes soft beds, a full food bowl, and lots of laps to sit on. Misty would love to meet you.

Mochi #retired-panhandler
DOB 2/15/21
Hi, I'm Mochi, a sweet black kitty who was found with my daughter Muffin wandering the streets begging for food. A kind lady took us in and is trying to find us forever homes.
I'm lucky in that I won't ever have to fight to survive a hardscrabble life of a street-stray ever again. I'm not so lucky in that I contracted FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), probably from a deep bite wound from an intact male cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as special attention is routinely given to my dental health and prompt attention is given to secondary infections of my urinary tract or upper respiratory system.
Please consider adopting me. I promise to enrich your life with my charming ways.

Mothra #monster-duo-kitty
DOB 8/24/19
Well hello everyone! I’m Mothra, a smart, gregarious, curious brown tabby "princess" with white tuxedo markings. I was named after a giant flying moth that was a popular "heroic" monster in horror films. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. I’m a “talker” who chirps and trills for everyone when I greet them, and then I plop down to receive a good belly rub.
I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids.

Looking for a low-maintenance kitty? One who doesn't ask for much, but gives so much in return? Then Mowgli's your guy. This sweetheart loves any and all cat toys. In fact he can turn anything into a toy...a paper bag, a cardboard box, a balled up piece of paper, or a bottle cap. You get the idea.
Mowgli also is a shadow cat who will follow you from room to room, not necessarily needing attention, but just loves to be with his person. Mowgli doesn't necessarily like to be picked up, but he will come over and sit in your lap. Come meet Mowgli soon.

Nicki (sister of Chrissie)
DOB 10/1/17
Hi everyone! I’m Nicki, a sweet, quiet, affectionate, beautiful, black DSH/Bombay mix gal with a sleek, shiny patent-leather coat and copper-penny eyes. I'm a "Velcro" cat because I like to sit quietly beside my foster meowmy while she works from home. That's just in case she stops for a break and gives me a scratch on the ear or a pet on top of my head. I luxuriate when she brushes my glossy coat.
I'm a bit plump because I tip the scales at about 13 pounds, but I pride myself at being an elegant plus-size model. I have a lot of extra skin that's soft and squishy, and I adore when Foster Meowmy scratches it. I've never been around kids or dogs, but I get along great with the other cats and kittens in my foster home.
My sister Chrissie and I were rescued from dumpster-diving at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. My favorite parts of the day are treat time and when I get my turn in the hammock. Like human sisters, Chrissie and I argue over whose turn it is for lying in the hammock and getting an even share of the treats.
Hopefully you're not superstitious because, as Groucho Marx said, "A black cat's crossing your path signifies that he's going somewhere." I’m so glad that I was brought to my HOPE foster home instead of a shelter because black cats are five times more likely to be euthanized at a shelter. Most people who adopt black cats once want to adopt one again because of our outstanding personalities and emotional stability.
Although Chrissie and I are available separately, it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. That way we’d keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. If you're looking for a regal black panther who's past the stage of kitten mayhem, I'm your girl! Arrange to meet me (and Chrissie, for that matter!) today!

Noodle #polydactyl-sweetie
DOB 11/9/20
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Noodle, a sweet, affectionate black and white” bicolor” fella who’s mostly white with black on my head, back, and tail. I have a harmless congenital anomaly in that I’m a polydactyl cat, which means I have extra toes on my front paws. Ernest Hemingway was a polydactyl-cat aficionado, and perhaps you will become one too when you meet me and fall in love with my big feet. Foster Meowmy thinks the slightly peculiar way that I walk is as cute as pie.
I totally enjoy being the center of attention as well as playing with the other cats in my foster home. I really adore Foster Meowmy because she feeds me Temptations as well as Churus squeezable treats. I either eat every single morsel or lick every “squeeze” clean as a whistle.
My heartless owners abandoned me and several of their other pet cats, and we found our way to our future foster meowmy’s feral-cat feeding station in our neighborhood. She realized that we were friendly strays and gave us refuge indoors as well as promised to find us all better homes the second time around.
So if you believe in lots of treats for good boys, please arrange to meet me. One of the advantages of adopting an adult kitty like me who’s past the age of kitten mayhem is that I will cause a lot less chaos in your home and not break any of your treasured accessories.

Penguin #half-masked-face-of-Drama
DOB 12/1/18
Hi everyone! I'm Penguin, a sweet, gentle, albeit prissy medium-haired tuxedo gal who’s a big fluff ball with a splendid plume of a tail. Don't you love my beautifully marked face that resembles the half-masked face of Drama?
I LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. When I’m situated near my foster meowmy, I usually make biscuits as well as snuggle with her. But I’m no couch potato! No sirree! I love to play with my foster-kitty-mates Godzilla, Mothra, and Woobie as well as when my foster meowmy dangles the wand toy over my head. I can also entertain myself with balls with bells, catnip mice, and crinkle balls.
I get along great with the other gentle resident cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I'm accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I'd probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids.
I was rescued from a cat colony where I was struggling for my next meal. Foster Meowmy realized that I was too social to be feral, so she welcomed me into her home, where I’ve adjusted very well to its indoor comforts. I’m so grateful that my hardscrabble days as a stray cat are over!
Although I'm available separately, it would be the cat's meow if I could be adopted with Godzilla, Mothra, or Woobie so we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. If you're looking for a prissy ball of fluff who's past the mayhem of kittenhood, I'm your girl! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

Pepper #queen-of-the-castle
DOB 12/21/22
Let me tell you about Pepper, who was born a few days before Christmas 2022. This little cute tabby girl thinks she's the queen of the castle. When she wants companionship, she will let you know. (She does best with another kitty to snuggle up with.) Pepper is spicy, hence her name. Some say she's demanding, but we think she just knows her mind and isn't afraid to speak it.
Pepper may mimic a stiff board when you first pick her up, but she just melts when you speak softly to her and tell her how much you love her. She also loves being petted or brushed lightly. If you know cats, you'll understand and appreciate Pepper.

PJ #frisky-four-kitten
DOB 2/27/23
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m PJ, which is short for Peep Junior, and I’m a sweet, adorable, loving, and trusting jet black DSH/Bombay mix fella with a shiny patent-leather coat and eyes that would win the Golden Globe Award. I’m one of the super-playful Frisky Four litter, but once playtime is over, I turn into a lap cat who enjoys being petted and binging on Netflix or Animal Planet with my foster parents.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s non-stop-bop all day long at our foster home. My favorite toy is anything that moves, especially my brother Prince Charming! I love to play with all of my siblings – tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling until we collapse in a kitten puddle.

Prince Charming #frisky-four-kitten
DOB 2/27/23
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Prince Charming, and I got my name when I first arrived in my foster home because I always slept next to my sister Princess. I’m an outgoing, playful, loving, and trusting grey tabby fella with a black cape over my shoulders to go with my black mackerel stripes.
I’m one of the Frisky Four litter, and PJ is my favorite play partner. I like to think of myself as Prince of “Purple Rain” fame because I can rock and roll with the best of them. I like playing with bags – paper or plastic, big or small – it doesn’t matter. Once playtime is over, I enjoy sitting on the sofa and binging on Netflix or Animal Planet with my foster parents

Princess #frisky-four-kitten
DOB 2/27/23
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Princess, a sweet, gentle, adorable, loving, and trusting jet black DSH/Bombay mix gal with a shiny patent-leather coat and eyes that would win the Golden Globe Award. I guess my name just suits me. After all, I've felt like a princess ever since I was rescued and brought into the “castle,” aka my foster home. I’m more like the princess in Sleeping Beauty because when I first arrived in the “castle,” I laid right down in the middle of the pink kitty bed and fell asleep while my brothers kept right on playing.
I’m one of the Frisky Four litter, but I don’t have to play all day like my brothers. I love to sit in my foster parent’s lap and just quietly observe – like a dainty, well-mannered princess should. When I do play, I like to chase and tumble with Brave Boy until we collapse in a kitten puddle together.
My litter was born to a pure white feral momma in a shed in our future foster parents’ back yard. They would check on us daily, bring us food, toys, and blankets. Raya #bundle-of-love
DOB 3/8/23
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Raya, an outgoing, affectionate, energetic, and playful cream tabby gal who’s not shy about showing Foster Meowmy how much I love her. I like to crawl up in her lap or bed to cuddle with her. I’m easily trainable because I’ll do anything for treats!
I love playtime when I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings. I’m very dependent and attached to my them but prefer to nap alone. I get along great with the resident dog, other cats/kittens, and kids in my foster home.
My friendly stray momma Mila had my litter in a lady’s yard, and thank heavens Foster Meowmy agreed to foster my whole family. I’m so glad I could “boob the snooze” with Momma Mila until we were all weaned.
If you’re looking for a gentle, social, curious, easy-going bundle of love, I’m your lass! Arrange to meet me today. And consider adopting me with my sister Ruby Rose or brother Renato. We could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.

Renato #very-vocal
DOB 3/8/23
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Renato, an outgoing, affectionate, energetic, and playful black DSH/Bombay mix fella who’s not shy about letting my foster meowmy know when I want treats or dinner! When my tummy’s full, I like to crawl up in her lap or bed to cuddle with her. Even though I’m the dominant leader of the pack of my sisters, I’m very sweet and even-tempered with my foster meowmy.
Call me Marco Polo because I love the challenge of exploring new places, and my favorite parts of the day are when I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings. I’m a brave fella who’s not afraid at all of the resident dog.
My friendly stray momma Mila had my litter in a lady’s yard, and thank heavens Foster Meowmy agreed to foster my whole family. I’m so glad I could “boob the snooze” with Momma Mila until we were all weaned.

Ruby Rose #loves-to-be-loved
DOB 3/8/23
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Ruby Rose, an outgoing, affectionate, energetic, and playful brown patched tabby gal with splashes of orange who just loves to be loved. It’s the cat’s meow when Foster Meowmy pets, brushes, and holds me like the baby that I am. I like to cuddle with her when I sleep between her legs on top of the blanket.
I’m the most independent one of my litter, and I like to play alone with the tower of tracks toy as well as climb on the window perch to gaze at all the lizards, birds, and squirrels outside. I’m also very vocal and don’t mind communicating my wishes to Foster Meowmy.
My siblings keep me active by tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling. I don’t mind the resident dog but prefer to keep him at a distance. I do get along great with the other cats/kittens and kids in my foster home.
My friendly stray momma Mila had my litter in a lady’s yard, and thank heavens Foster Meowmy agreed to foster my whole family. I’m so glad I could “boob the snooze” with Momma Mila until we were all weaned.

Rust #stylish-six-kitten
DOB 3/1/23
Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Rust, and I’m a Classic brown patched tabby gal. Classic tabbies have unusual marble swirls instead of mackerel stripes on their sides. I got my name because of the distinctive rust-colored patches on my back. I’m the tiny, sweet-dispositioned, and loving member of the “stylish six” litter of tabbies.

Samantha #green-eyed-beauty
DOB 1/1/20
Meet Samantha, a sweet, inquisitive patched brown tabby (torbie) kitty with splashes of orange that make her look like caramel was spilled on her in a candy factory. Samantha loves the pleasant, relaxing life in her foster home.
The favorite part of Samantha's day is when she can cuddle up to you and watch TV with you Ooccasionally stealing a goldfish or cheese cracker. Samantha knows not to eat people food, but has been known to give sad eyes and get a small piece.
Samantha truly appreciates living the good life birdwatching from her cat tree or snoozing in bed. This green-eyed beauty is very curious about everything in her environment, but she is still trying to learn not to be wary of the other resident cats and dogs.
Just remember that this kitty would be happiest in a home without other cats or dogs, but may adjust to other friendly felines. Are you looking for a sweet kitty to be your companion? Did we tell you she likes to lick hands?

Shinny #demands-cuddles
DOB 3/12/22
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Shinny, a handsome red tabby fella with big gold eyes who demands cuddles and kisses from Foster Meowmy. I was born by a dumpster in a poor community, and I looked shy and grumpy because I needed to ward off danger and predators.
Thankfully when my foster meowmy found me, she wasn’t fooled by my huffy-grouch-persona. She rescued me and brought me to the safety of her home, and her TLC and yummy food have paid huge dividends. And I’ve been grateful for all the amenities of indoor life, which include a brimming food bowl and a climate-controlled environment.
Arrange to meet me today! I may be a little shy at our meet and greet, but once I get to know you too, I’ll love to get YOUR cuddles “on demand.”

Shya & Tigger Jr. (bonded pair)
DOB 4/20/22
Meow! Meow, everyone! We’re Tigger Junior and Shya, a bonded brother-and-sister pair of red tabbies. When we say bonded, we mean really bonded: we eat, play, and sleep together. I (Tiger) like to protect me (Shya), and we’re inseparable. We even use the litter box together at the same time, even though two are provided.
We chase each other around the room until we're exhausted, and that's when we settle down for some petting from our foster meowmy or some snuggly catnapping together. And boy howdy! We love it when Foster Meowmy waves the wand toy over our heads so we can show off our jumping prowess as we stab at our "prey."
When we were about 10 weeks old, our feline momma brought us into our future foster meowmy's back yard in search of a steady food supply. Thankfully, Foster Meowmy took in our family, including our momma, to help us find a better life. It didn't take much to convince us that an indoor climate was very much preferred to Houston's scorching summer heat.
Tiger Jr. says, “I’m a sweet, friendly, outgoing, and playful cream tabby fella who just loves attention from my hoomans. Although I'm not a lap cat per se, I love to snuggle up next to my foster meowmy's legs and sleep beside her while she's watching TV or napping. I'm almost dog-like in the way I greet my foster meowmy at the door with a little bounce, and then I stand on my hind legs to make sure she knows that I want to be petted. Call me her shadow, but I follow her all around the house just to see what she's up to."
Shya says, “I got my moniker because I'm shyer. I used to hide behind Tigger Jr. when I first met my foster family, but now I curl up next to Foster Meowmy and make biscuits when she pets me. Sweet, peaceful, and affectionate, I'm a petite little girl, and that makes me special because red tabby girls are rare."
If you're looking for a sweet, friendly bonded pair of red tabby kittens who love to cuddle with our hoomans as well as each other, pick us! Not only do we hate to be apart anyway, we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Shya (bonded to Tigger Jr)
DOB 4/20/22
Hi! My name is Shya, and I got my moniker because I am the shyest in my litter of three red tabbies. I used to hide behind my brothers when I first met my foster family, but now I curl up next to Foster Meowmy and make biscuits when she pets me. Sweet, peaceful, and affectionate, I’m the smallest and the only girl, and that makes me special because red tabby girls are rare.
I love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my twin brother, Tigger Junior, with whom I’m particularly bonded. We chase each other around the room until we’re exhausted, and that’s when we settle down for some petting from our foster meowmy or some snuggly catnapping together.
I can entertain myself too -- especially with soft balls and catnip mice. And boy howdy! I love it when Foster Meowmy waves the wand toy over my head so I can show off my jumping prowess as I stab at my “prey.” I also have perfect scratching-post manners, which is a little exercise in itself.
When my brothers and I were about 10 weeks old, my feline momma brought us into my future foster meowmy’s back yard in search of a steady food supply.
Foster Meowmy first managed to take my momma and one brother inside, and later my other brother and I were finally convinced that an indoor climate was very much preferred to Houston’s scorching summer heat. What a good decision!!
If you're looking for a sweet, quiet kitty who loves cuddles, I’m your girl! Since Tigger Jr. and I are inseparable, Foster Meowmy is insisting that we only be adopted together. That works out great for you because we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.

Simon #pick-me-up-and-hold-me
DOB 4/8/18
Hi everyone! My name is Simon, and I’m a sweet, friendly, affectionate, and playful brown tabby fella with gorgeous jade-green eyes. I have short legs, so I look adorable when I walk. (I may have a little Munchkin-cat blood coursing through my veins.)
I love spending time with my foster family, and I’m not shy at all about meeting new people. I’m so laid-back that I’m one of those rare kitties who doesn’t mind being handled or picked up.
I luxuriate when my foster meowmy puts her forehead onto mine and give me kisses. Getting my head petted and chin scratched are right up there as “tops” in my book. On the other hand, getting my tummy rubbed is not so pleasant (as many other kitties will agree), so I’ll gently soft-paw Foster Meowmy to tell her to stop.
Usually I’m a quiet kitty who minds my own business, but then again sometimes I can be very talkative. Foster Meowmy thinks I’ve got a cute, sweet voice that’s like a chirping meow.
I was rescued from a rough life on the streets, so I welcomed the brand-new indoor amenities of my “donut” bed as well as wand toys and balls with bells. I like to bask in a sunbeam on the windowsill as I watch the squirrels and birds outside.
I’m lucky in that I won’t ever have to fight to survive a hardscrabble life of a street-stray ever again. I’m not so lucky in that I contracted FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), probably from a deep bite wound from an intact male cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on “casually” by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as special attention is routinely given to my dental health and prompt attention is given to secondary infections of the urinary tract or upper respiratory system.
I get along with other cats as well as the large dog in my foster home, but it would also be just fine if I were the only cat. Incidentally, I have perfect litter box and scratching-post manners.
Foster Meowmy says that I’m very resilient from my stint as stray and that I’m “the sweetest cat in the whole world.” She thinks I would really make anyone happy. I’m just looking for a place to call my own and where I can soak up all the love and attention that can be showered on me. Could you be the forever family I’ve been waiting for?

Tangerine #OrangeBeauty

Meet Tangerine, a loving kitty who wants nothing more than a quiet life with you. Tangerine is a big beautiful orange tabby female which is somewhat rare (30% of orange tabbing are female). She likes her own personal space but can co-exist with other cats and maybe even dogs if given a proper introduction. Tangerine will shower you with love and affection and is the sweetest companion!
This beauty may need a home where they are patient with her and give her time to settle in. Tangerine is totally worth the effort.

Tango #warm-and-friendly
DOB 4/7/22
Howdy everyone! I’m Tango, a loving and mellow yet funny and lively red tabby fella with a warm personality and a great sense of humor. Foster Meowmy describes me as “the most wonderful of kittens who deserves an A+ home.”
I was found as an orphan in the street next to a pile of debris in the Lindale area. I fit right into my foster home where there were several other rescued kittens who were my same age, although we‘re not related.
I have so much fun playing with my surrogate siblings. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted from all the fun, we collapse in a kitten puddle.
It would be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with one of my foster mates Butch, Sundance, Little Bobbie, or Violet. I’d be happy to give you an extra kiss because we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.
I get along great with the 3 resident adult cats and 2 big dogs in my foster home, so there are a lot of households where I would fit like a glove. Arrange to meet me today! You'll fall in love with me the second you meet me. I'm all ready to settle into my A+ new home!

Tiger #stylish-six-kitten
DOB 3/1/23
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Tiger, and I’m a handsome, cuddly brown tabby fella. I’m the sweet, inquisitive member of the “stylish six” litter of tabbies. I’m always the first to snuggle alongside my hoomans.

Tigger Jr (bonded to Shya)
DOB 4/20/22
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Tigger Junior, a sweet, friendly, outgoing, and playful red tabby fella who just loves attention from my hoomans. Although I’m not a lap cat per se, I love to snuggle up next to my foster meowmy’s legs and sleep beside her while she’s watching TV or napping.
I’m almost dog-like in the way I greet my foster meowmy at the door with a little bounce, and then I stand on my hind legs to make sure she knows that I want to be petted. Call me her shadow, but I follow her all around the house just to see what she’s up to.
Like my namesake, I can be bouncy and full of joy – especially when someone is waving the wand toy over my head. Boy howdy! I love to show off my prowess by jumping to catch the “prey.” I’m inquisitive and can make a toy of almost anything that I find. I have red-cat energy -- sometimes I get the zoomies and chase my sweet sister Shya around the room, and then we collapse in a kitten puddle when we’re exhausted.
When my brother, sister, and I were about 10 weeks old, my feline momma brought us into my future foster meowmy’s back yard in search of a steady food supply. Thankfully, Foster Meowmy took in my family of four to help us find a better life. It didn’t take much to convince me that an indoor climate was very much preferred to Houston’s scorching summer heat.
If you’re looking for an energetic kitten who also loves to cuddle, I’m your boy! I've developed a very strong bond with my twin sister Shya, so Foster Meowmy is insisting that we only be adopted together. That works out great for you because we can keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation.
Arrange to meet me today as I’d love to be the one waiting at the door for you to get home and play wand toy with me! You know Margaret Mead once said, “One of the oldest human needs is having someone to wonder where you are when you don’t come home at night.” See? I could be a wonderful furry friend who could fulfill your needs too!

Trudy #life-of-the-party
DOB: 7/9/22
You there! You! I'm Trudy! I'm the life of the party! This house will be BORING without me. Explore my awesomeness. I LOVE to fetch! I NEED fetch play time. I'll bring you my toys to get you to play fetch. Right now I'm at a 100% launch rate to go get it. I'm currently at a 90% retrieval rate on the little yellow moon and 70% on the fruit mice. I have a toy budget of $8 a month, so you'll need to keep my toy money in the black in order to adopt me.
Sometimes I like to get crazy and try to take a shower with you. I like the clear vinyl shower curtain liners so I can see why in the world you're in the water! Then I might need to climb the outer cloth shower curtain just because I'm entertaining like that. Either way you need a sturdy shower curtain.
I'm absolutely delightful, and everything I do is cute. I love people, but I'm especially good at pestering the older cats. They hate it, but I don't care! I make them play with me. I can be a little talker when it comes to play time or food; other than that I'm pretty quiet.

Turquoise #loves-water
DOB 6/15/22
Searching for a soul mate? Turquoise would love to meet you. This gentle and sweet kitty is well-behaved and a joy to have around. And this tabby girl has a hint of red in her coat, so she has a little bit of spunk too. Who doesn't love a female who is self-confident but full of love to share? Turquoise will gently win your heart and fill it with joy. She's dying to meet you.
P.S. This cutie loves playing in running gwater.

V #stylish-six-kitten
DOB 3/1/23
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m V, and I’m a handsome, fluffy brown mackerel tabby fella who just may have some Maine Coon blood coursing through my veins. I got my name because of the dark "V" shape on my brow. I’m the gentle, cautious, and loving member of the “stylish six” litter of tabbies.
Our future foster parents noticed our pregnant feral momma in their yard, so they started feeding her. She birthed us under their deck, and one day we appeared up on the deck and joined momma at her feeding station. When they saw a rain storm coming, they left their garage door cracked. Wesson #bright-green-eyes
DOB 3/15/21
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Wesson, a wonderfully sweet, affectionate, and fun-loving brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings. My huge green eyes should win the Golden Globe Award for mesmerizing you. Don’t you love the button spot at the end of my nose?
Although I love to play, I really cherish one-on-one petting time with my foster meowmy. As she scratches my chin and ears, I turn on my purr motor to show my ecstasy.
A family adopted me from HOPE as a 6-month-old kitten and a year later adopted tortie Cannoli to keep me company. I thought I was a member of my new family, but unfortunately they heartlessly surrendered us both to HOPE because they were going to be out of the country for 2 1/2 months. HOPE volunteers offered them a super-low-cost option, but they didn’t want to pay a dime for our boarding or pet-sitting.
No worries! I’m holding my head high and moving on without glancing back! If you’re looking for a big, handsome, bright-eyed tuxedo tabby, I’m your guy! Although I’m available separately, it’d be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with my buddy Cannoli. That way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today, and you can guess the decibels on my purr motor!

Woobee #your-furry-security-blanket
DOB 8/24/19
Hi everyone! I’m Woobee, a spunky, funny, entertaining Turkish Van mix gal who’s mostly white with black on my head and tail. Don’t you love my white blaze running up my nose? Because I’m such a snuggler, I was named after the child’s security blanket popularized in the movie “Mr. Mom.”
I’m a lap cat extraordinaire. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. I'm full of zany antics and have a plucky attitude. I’ll bunny-kick a stuffed animal and then come sit in your lap to get praise and to snuggle.
I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids.
My siblings Mothra and Godzilla were found with me as orphan kittens during Tropical Storm Imelda. Although I'm available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with one of my siblings so we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. If you’re looking for a real lap cat who’s the life of the party and who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood, I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart.

Yoon-gi #purr-machine
DOB 3/4/23
Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Yoon-gi, a sweet, friendly, playful, fluffy red tabby Maine Coon mix fella with white tuxedo markings. I was named for the South Korean rapper of BTS fame.
I showed up at a car lot as a 10-week-old orphan kitten who was covered in scrapes and scratches on my little face as if I’d survived a cat fight or some other harrowing experience. Nevertheless, I trusted my rescuers and immediately let them pick me up. That’s when I turned on my purr motor to signal that I was grateful for their kind attention. Who wouldn’t be, after what I’d been through?
They brought me to my foster home to join three boy kitties who were exactly my same age. Well, all I have to say is, “God’s fingerprints are all over what the world calls coincidence.” I was initially a little tentative about trusting Echo, Delta, and Blue but became more confident after realizing that they meant me no harm. Now we tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle every waking hour, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’ve also made friends with the resident dog and the two adult cats in my foster home.
Arrange to meet me today! And consider adopting me with one of my foster brothers because two is better than one – and more fun! That way we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation.
