Cash

You are here:
Handsome young gentleman!

Hello!  My name is Cash and if you're looking for one handsome boy, you've found him!  I can be pretty laid back but I also love to play.  I was found on the street, in the middle of a busy intersection, but my foster mom just could not take her eyes off me.  Older children don't bother me much, but little ones sort of scare me. I have also been to Doggie Day Care and like to go on walks.

If you need a handsome, laid back boy in your life, I would love to meet you and charm my way into your heart.

If you are interested in Cash and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Meg is such a sweet girl, she adores hanging out with people, playing fetch, napping in the sun, treats and a good belly rub!  She's a good car rider, has been through basic obedience training, is crate trained and is waiting so patiently for a home so that she doesn't have to live at a boarding kennel.

Mia

You are here:
Beautiful, quite Shepherd girl

Beautiful Mia, she's had a hard life but her past is behind her and now she's looking forward to a loving home of her own.

Mia is a quiet, gentle dog that bonds heavily with her person but it can take her a while to warm up to new people.  She enjoys going on leisurely walks where she can do lots of sniffing and rolling on her back for back scratches. She rides well in the car and she's very treated motivated but has a soft mouth.  She prefers smaller dogs and appears to be indifferent to cats.

Mia's ideal home would be with a pet parent that is familiar with Shepherds, is a fairly quite home, and that will be patient with her as she acclimates to her new surroundings and people.

If you are interested in Mia and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Molly

You are here:

Hi, my name is Molly and I am looking for my forever home! I’m a 3 year old Pitt mix with a huge loving heart. I used to spend my time hanging out at a truck yard, but now I spend all my time with my foster mom. I like to follow her around everywhere stealing kisses and belly rubs every chance I get! She’s really impressed since I’m housebroken and not into chewing up stuff. It took a little time but my foster dog brothers and I are getting along great. I still don't like small dogs, puppies and cats too much though. Oh! And I promise I will not crowd you when you are trying to let me out my crate. I’m very polite and wait patiently to be invited back in. I’m just a calm, sweet girl looking for a loving family. Will you let me be part of your family?

Moma

You are here:

Moma is people friendly and good with other dogs but needs to be introduced slowly.  She can be a face kisser if you don’t watch out. She has times that she wants to run and play but also enjoys just sitting next to people.  She loves to go for walks and walks excellent on a halter and leash.  She also loves to play in a fenced back yard.  She will try to slip through the door so it is important to tell her to stay and make her move back before opening the front door.  She loves raw carrots for a snack.  She would probably be good in a home with or without dogs so long as she is taken for walks and has a back yard to play in.  She bathes with no problem and loves to be brushed.  She also does not mind having her nails trimmed.  She knows how to use a doggy door and is doing well on potty training but is not completely house broken.  She is scared of car rides and will cry for a while and then settle down.

Shelby

You are here:

Shelby has a very sweet nature, she's friendly with everyone and just an overall happy girl!  She's about 1 1/2 yrs old and 45 lbs..  She's very good with kids and seems to be fine with other dogs.

If you are interested in Shelby and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Shorty

You are here:
Sweet, young, Jack Russell Terrier mix

Shorty needs to be in a quieter home that includes a female.  It would be good for him to be in a home with another dog to play with as he is very high energy.  He loves to play with toys, especially squeaky toys and balls.  He will play fetch as long as you throw a toy for him and will bring the toy back to you to throw again. He also loves playing tug-o-war and playing in a fenced back yard.  He is learning to walk on a leash but is fearful when he leaves what he considers a safe place.  He sleeps in a cuddler bed next to my side of the bed as he feels more secure.  He learned how to use the doggy door and is doing well with potty training but still needs work.  He is still somewhat afraid of baths but does better each week.  He gets tired around 8:30 at night and wants to sit on the couch next to or in the lap of his foster mom and go to sleep.  Unfortunately he is a chewer so needs to be kept exercised and/or played with and should have lots of safe chew toys to keep him from chewing on things he should not.  He is a very sweet and loving boy but will take time to get over his fears.  He needs an experienced owner that is very calm, loving, and will be patient with him.  He is also afraid of car rides but settles down after a while.   Raw carrots are his favorite snack.  Also, I have no problem trimming his nails.

Turtle

You are here:

Turtle has given up her former career as a back yard junk dog!  It's time to start something new, and HOPE is helping her start a new career as a loving pet. Turtle has many skills that will make her new career as an adopted pooch a breeze!  For example, she has plenty of playgroup experience, and she excels at long leisurely walks.  However, she also enjoys just sitting in the yard bird watching or watching the squirrels playing in the trees.  She also has wonderful people skills.

Turtle's specialties are snuggling, smiling and making human hearts grow three sizes. Turtle's favorite past time is just lying on the couch with her human, watching TV. Can you help Turtle start her new career as an adopted member of your loving family?

Venus

You are here:

In her own words:  I was saying to myself just this morning "Venus, you know what you need? You need a person all your own."  So I sat down to write this post for the nice people at HOPE, because  that's the kind of thing they do - find nice people for extremely intelligent and lovable furbabies.  I shudder to type this, but I'm LAPLESS! That's right, I have no human lap to call my own. Could you be persuaded to volunteer yours?  I can't wait to see my forever home!"

Venus is an active and incredibly smart girl who likes nothing more than to stretch her legs at the beach or at the park.  She'd suit an active person who wants an outgoing and friendly companion - if you can lob a tennis ball, Venus will be your friend for life!
