Cash

You are here:
Handsome young gentleman!

Hello!  My name is Cash and if you're looking for one handsome boy, you've found him!  I can be pretty laid back but I also love to play.  I was found on the street, in the middle of a busy intersection, but my foster mom just could not take her eyes off me.  Older children don't bother me much, but little ones sort of scare me.

If you need a handsome, laid back boy in your life, I would love to meet you and charm my way into your heart.

Cooper

You are here:

"Hi there, my name is Cooper! I am a handsome pocket pitbull mix puppy. I may be small but I am packed full with energy and personality.   I'm crate-trained, house-trained, potty-trained, and know basic “sit”, “leave it”, "wait, and “no” commands.  I'm working on my leash walking skills (I get so excited to make friends with anyone I see on my walks)! I am great with other dogs and cats. I would be happiest with a family with another dog and a yard to play in or someone who is active and enjoys taking their dog with them on outings.  I will happily gives kisses and snuggles at night in return."

Lila

You are here:
Doggie day care dynamo!

Estimated date of birth is Nov. 2016.

Lila is about 3 years old, spayed, heart worm negative, dog friendly, and about 55 pounds. She doesn’t wag her tail that much, but once she gets to know you, she’s very loving, affectionate, and devoted and will happily accept and return all the love you can give her! Lila is a great candidate for a home that already has a dog, and possibly a cat (she doesn’t seem very interested in cats). She is unknown around young children but is fine with teenagers.

She was found on the street with a dog buddy and lived with her human Finder for a short time. At her Finder’s house, Lila enjoyed playing in the back yard, chewing on toys, and sleeping quietly at night in her crate.

Lila was recently at a training facility where she immediately assimilated with the dog pack and selected a few special dog friends for doggie wrestling and chase.  The trainer reported that Lila is smart, focused, and pretty easy going. She worked on polishing her overall manners and improving leash walking skills during pack walks. According to the trainer, “ …she has good dog social skills …plays well with other dogs (both males and females)… is tolerant … and a fast learner.”  She is now being fostered at a boarding facility where she goes to Doggy Day Care and on long Nature Walks.  She loves car rides, knows Sit and Down, lets humans remove her food bowl while eating, and takes treats gently from the hand.

Lila has medium energy level—like many dogs, she loves daily exercise, and then afterwards she’s happy to lounge on the couch. Lila is a good candidate for dog parks and doggy day care and is comfortable with both men and women. She loves to play with toys but her favorite activity is being with her human.

Meg

You are here:

Meg is such a sweet girl, she adores hanging out with people, playing fetch, napping in the sun and treats!  She's a good car rider, has been through basic obedience training, is crate trained and is waiting so patiently for a home so that she doesn't have to live at a boarding kennel.

Mia

You are here:
Beautiful, quite Shepherd girl

Beautiful Mia, she's had a hard life but her past is behind her and now she's looking forward to a loving home of her own.

Mia is a quite, gentle dog that bonds heavily with her person but it can take her a while to warm up to new people.  She enjoys going on walks where she can do lots of sniffing and rolling on her back for back scratches. She rides well in the car and she's very treated motivated but has a soft mouth.  She seems to prefer smaller dogs and appears to be fine with cats.

Mia's ideal home would be with a pet parent that is familiar with Shepherds, is a fairly quite home, and that will be patient with her as she acclimates to her new surroundings and people.

Molly

You are here:

Hi, my name is Molly and I am looking for my forever home! I’m a 3 year old Pitt Mix with a huge loving heart. I used to spend my time hanging out at a truck yard, but now I spend all my time with my new foster mom. I like to follow her around everywhere stealing kisses and belly rubs every chance I get! She’s really impressed since I’m already housebroken and not really into chewing up stuff. It took a little time but my foster brothers and I are getting along great. I still don't like small dogs and puppies too much though. Oh! And I promise I will not crowd you when you are trying to let me out my crate. I’m very polite and wait patiently to be invited back in. I’m just a calm, sweet girl looking for a loving family. Will you let me be part of your family?

Turtle

You are here:

Turtle is ready to give up her career as a back yard junk dog!  It's time to start something new, and HOPE Rescue in Houston is ready to help her. Turtle has many skills that will make her new career as an adopted pooch a breeze!  For example, she has plenty of playgroup experience, and she excels at zooming around the yard.  However, she also enjoys just sitting in the yard bird watching or watching the squirrels playing in the trees.  She also has wonderful people skills.

Turtle's specialties are snuggling, smiling and making human hearts grow three sizes. Turtle's favorite past time is just lying on the couch with her human & watching TV.  Can you help Turtle start her new career as an adopted member of your loving family?

Venus

You are here:

In her own words:  I was saying to myself just this morning "Venus, you know what you need? You need a person all your own."  So I sat down to write this post for the nice people at HOPE, because apparently that's the kind of thing they do - find nice people for extremely intelligent and lovable furbabies.  I shudder to type this, but I'M LAPLESS! That's right, I have no lap to call my own. Could you be persuaded to volunteer yours?  I can't wait to see my forever home!"

Venus is an active and incredibly smart girl who likes nothing more than to stretch her legs at the beach or at the park.  She'd suit an active person who wants an outgoing and friendly companion - if you ca lob a tennis ball, Venus will be your friend for life!
