Bailey

You are here:

Estimated date of birth is Oct. 2015.

Bailey is a love bug, she loves to see you coming to visit and play!  Her yard time (for relaxing and sunning) and chasing balls and squirrels is top priority.  Then snuggling next to you when it's time to rest.  This fun girl is such a people pleaser. She's working on her house training, is crate trained and knows a few commands.

Bob

You are here:

Date of birth is 11/9/17.

Bob and his siblings, Boy and Jessie, were born to a stray moma dog that wandered up to a home out in the country, looking for food and shelter.  Fortunately, she found a home with dog lovers who not only fed her and gave her shelter, but let her have her litter of puppies two weeks later and committed to finding them all homes!

Bob is lovable, sweet, and chill.  He can be playful, but mostly he is just a little love bug.  His little bobbed tail will always tell you how happy he is to see you.  He is learning to walk on leash, is almost house trained and is crate trained.   Bob’s calm demeanor makes him a great choice for a relaxed family that wants a new best friend. He would also love to find a home with another dog for a playmate and a nice backyard for exercise.

Boy is a little goofy and awkward but he'll be the best friend any one could ever have.  He loves to wrestle with his siblings and chase bugs.  He also loves to snuggle with his foster mom.  He is a little shy at first with strangers but just be patient and give him a chance.  Once he trusts you, he comes alive and will play, play, play!  Boy is learning to walk on leash, is almost house trained and is crate trained.  He would love to find a home with another dog for a playmate and a nice backyard for exercise.  He's ready to find his forever family – one that he will be loyal to always!

Honey

You are here:

Estimated Date of Birth 8/23/11

Honey was found with one surviving puppy, Bunny, at a farm west of Katy.  The farmer was not feeding them and she had little to eat.  But now Honey has been rescued by a HOPE foster family and is in good health.  Honey is a sweet, gentle, quite girl, very easy going and low maintenance. She is friendly with her foster brother dog (they like to lounge in and mosey around the backyard together in nice weather), rarely barks, and is house trained.  Honey is still easily frightened of thunderstorms and loud noises like trash trucks.  She enjoys going on walks in her neighborhood but is always happy to head back home. Would you consider giving this middle-aged lady a new start and a forever home?

Jessie is a typical puppy, happy, playful and curious.  She loves to wrestle with her siblings and play with her toys.  She also loves to snuggle and cuddle with her foster mom.  Her foster dad calls her the "Play Princess" because she likes to play and have fun!  Jessie is learning to walk on leash, is almost house trained and is crate trained.  She would love to find a home with another dog for a playmate, maybe some kids to grow up with, and a nice backyard for exercise.

Johnny Cash

You are here:

Hi, I'm Johnny Cash and I want to sing my way into your heart!

I'm a lovable guy that likes to have fun! The dog park is one of my favorite places. I am a happy-go-lucky guy who gets along well with everyone and am very socialized.  When I'm not practicing my next country hit, I like to sleep in my doggie bed, or curl up in someone's lap.  I am intelligent and I learn quickly. In fact, I am a recent graduate of Basic Obedience Level 1 and I can sit, stay, and I’m working on learning to shake hands!  I'm an active pup, so be ready to rock-n-roll. Yes, country and rock-n-roll CAN go together.

Louie

You are here:

Meet Louie!

We don’t know Louie's story before he was found on the street but we think he must have been in a home since he's so people oriented. He loves to show off his toys but he loves chewing and playing fetch with his Kong toys the most. Louie is good with other dogs but it’s best if the other dog is about the same size (large, about 80 lbs.) He is currently going through obedience training and is making good progress. He is very eager to please! He’s very compassionate and will follow you wherever you go.

Luna

You are here:

Estimated date of birth is 09/09/16.

Luna is very energetic and playful.  She loves the outdoors so lots of walks and a back yard to play in would be ideal for her.  She does like to relax though and get a good belly rub from time-to time.  Luna is smart and attentive and easy to train.  Maybe agility classes are in her future?  She is house trained, crate trained and ready for a new family to lover her!

Sugar

You are here:
Super sweet & super fun!

Estimated date of birth is 1/1/16, weight is 45 lbs.

Sugar was named Sugar because of her sweet disposition.  She loves people and loves to play soccer with the big red ball (if the big red ball isn't available, she'll fetch the tennis ball)! She's a spunky girl with a million dollar smile 🙂

Sugar is crate trained, house trained and leash trained.  She has been through basic obedience class and knows some commands.  Sugar has a lot of energy and would love to go to a home with a big backyard for exercise, some older kids (teenagers on up) to run around with, and a nice soft, comfy dog bed all of her own.

If you are interested in Sugar and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Turtle

You are here:

Turtle is ready to give up her career as a back yard junk dog!  It's time to start something new, and HOPE Rescue in Houston is ready to help her. Turtle has many skills that will make her new career as an adopted pooch a breeze!  For example, she has plenty of playgroup experience, and she excels at zooming around the yard.  However, she also enjoys just sitting in the yard bird watching or watching the squirrels playing in the trees.  She also has wonderful people skills.

Turtle's specialties are snuggling, smiling and making human hearts grow three sizes. Turtle's favorite past time is just lying on the couch with her human & watching TV.  Can you help Turtle start her new career as an adopted member of your loving family?

Venus

You are here:

In her own words:  I was saying to myself just this morning "Venus, you know what you need? You need a person all your own."  So I sat down to write this post for the nice people at HOPE, because apparently that's the kind of thing they do - find nice people for extremely intelligent and lovable furbabies.  I shudder to type this, but I'M LAPLESS! That's right, I have no lap to call my own. Could you be persuaded to volunteer yours?  I can't wait to see my forever home!"

Venus is an active and incredibly smart girl who likes nothing more than to stretch her legs at the beach or at the park.  She'd suit an active person who wants an outgoing and friendly companion - if you ca lob a tennis ball, Venus will be your friend for life!
