Adorable

You are here:

Estimated date of birth is Feb. 2014.

Adorable's name says it all, she's just adorable!  This friendly girl is so multi-talented: she's an adept soccer player with any of her cat toys that skitter across the floor, she loves classical music (Chopin is her favorite), she's a lap cat, and she gets along with the other cats in her foster home. What more could you ask for? Well, how about: she's BILINGUAL! Yep, she's the complete package. Come meet her this weekend at HOPE's mobile cat adoptions, she would be a great cat addition to any lucky feline loving home.

Alice

You are here:

Hello My name is Alice. I was born in November 2018 and I’m cute, Fluffy and a tad bit sassy. I love to stare out the window and play with my toys. I do enjoy playing with my other foster siblings both cats and dogs. I also like to cuddle on the couch with my foster parents. I can’t wait to find my furever home.

Andy

You are here:
Loving, mellow boy

Andy is one of five cats abandoned after his elderly owner, who had dementia,  had to go to the hospital and never came home. Despite his sad situation, he is such a loving, mellow cat, there is no doubt that his owner adored him and took care of him as best she could.  Andy gets along well with other cats and small dogs and would probably be fine with kids too (at weekend adoptions, he's been very happy to have children hold him and rub his tummy).  Andy is currently being fostered at a cattery in a boarding kennel looking for his forever home.

If you are interested in Andy and would like to fill out a Cat Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Angie

You are here:

Born in late March, 2019, Angie is the sweetheart of the litter. She is the first to come say hi and ask to be pet when someone sits down near her. She loves to play with other cats, too, and is very social. The best way to become friends with Angie is to scratch behind her ears and along her chin! She'd be perfect for a family looking for a laid-back kitten to add another cat to their home (or to adopt with her lookalike brother, Captain).

Baby Bear

You are here:

Hi! I am Baby-Bear. My brother Starbuck and I were born March 7, 2017 and are the cutenesses of West U. But we're not looking to rob any honey bees or chase any white whales. We are on a quest for our furrever home with wonderful people. We like soft stuff and we love to race around. Right now it's hot, but we are oh so cool! When it gets cold we'll warm your nice soft bed, or snuggling your sleepy head! I'll sweeten your coffee for you! We love to be cute and precious and held like little babies. We're pretty sure you might need us to brighten your life with a little mischief & joy.

Come see us and apply to be our furry people. Don't forget we have an adoption fee! That's to keep the bees and whales safe! Okay, it might be for vetting, vaccines, flea treatment, etc. but we're pretending it's to keep our hunting abilities from developing.

Bailey

His tough start to life has not dimmed his spirit and this boy loves to run and play. Bailey gets along well with other cats (older and younger) and probably needs to have another cat in his forever family. He is very curious and wants to be involved in anything that is going on around him. Bailey doesn't know dogs yet, but should be fine with one. This sweetie needs a forever home where he can play in safety and have plenty of love.

Captain

You are here:

Born in late March, 2019, Captain is a rambunctious, affectionate kitten who loves to play. He is the most social kitten of the litter, both with people and other cats. When he's active, he loves to run around, explore and tussle with his siblings, and when it's time for naps he'll crawl right into a lap to sleep. Captain would be great for a home that can give him a lot of attention and love (or to adopt with his sister, Angie, cause those two get along great!).

Chandler

You are here:

Hi, my name is Chandler! I am part of the “FRIENDS” litter. (me & my brother Ross and sisters Monica and Rachel. We were all born in min-March 2019) I am very sweet and friendly. I desperately want to play with my siblings but sometimes they nurse on me, so we have to stay separated much of the time. I like to be held and loved by my foster human. I started out as “the runt” and now I’m the biggest of the litter so I’ve done a lot of growing and a lot of eating! I can get quite rambunctious and wound up if I’ve been away from my siblings too long, but I do LOVE to play! I can be quite nervous in uncertain situations but give me some time to warm up and I will be your best buddy!

Chloe

You are here:

Sweet Chloe was turned into the Houston City shelter by her owner when she was a teenage mom, along with her four baby kittens.  They were all underweight and so starving  - both for food and for attention!  Her kittens have all been adopted and now it's Chloe's turn.

Chloe's foster mom's house got flooded in Hurricane Harvey so Chloe is staying at a cattery where she gets to socialize with other cats and lay in the window sill in the sunshine.  She loves to have her ears rubbed and relax in her cat bed.  She is a very low maitenance cat and would like nothing more than to have a person all her own that she can be the pampered cat she deserves to be!

If you are interested in Chloe and would like to fill out a Cat Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Chrissie

You are here:

Born in October 2017, Chrissie and her sister Nicki were rescued from an apartment complex in SW Houston where children were torturing small animals. She is a quiet kitty, but loves to play on her cat tree. Chrissie is certain the tree was purchased just for her, despite the fact that there are other cats in residence! She does enjoy the company of her sister and the other grown cats, so she would make a good addition to any home. If you can offer this beautiful little tuxedo kitten a forever family, please complete a HOPE application.

Cissy

You are here:

Born in May, 2017, Cissy and her sister Sassy were rescued from an apartment complex in SW Houston where children were torturing small animals and hawks were looking for their next meal. When the two small kittens were rescued, Cissy was ill and her sister was helping her. While recovering at the vet they put out their paws and made contact between their two crates - always staying in touch.

Cissy still has a few health issues, but they don't stop her from running and playing. She has so much energy and is usually the last one to bed and the first one up! Perhaps she is making up for the time when she was not able to play. Her older Foster Brother loves to pounce on his sisters, who squeal and run. Can you add Cissy to your family and give her a forever home?

Est DOB 4/7/18 - Dark Chocolate (DC), his Mom (Hershey), sister (Krackles) and brother MC were rescued from a townhome complex in Sharpstown. The kittens have been in a foster home since they were about one month old. DC is perhaps the shyest of the family, but once he gets to know you his playful side comes out. He likes sleeping bed with his foster Mom to keep him warm. Like his brother, DC has several white whiskers that give some whimsy to his all black coloring. Would this sweet boy fit into your family?

Devon

You are here:

Est DOB 3/17/18 - Devon was at risk to be euthanized in a Houston area shelter because a little hair loss from stress was misdiagnosed. He has been a little shy after being dumped at the shelter - who wouldn't be! But we found the way to his heart - through his stomach. This boy loves to eat, especially his Temptation treat a day. The treats have helped to bring him out and now he loves pets. Can you give this handsome red tabby boy a loving and stable home, preferably with occasional treats?

Emma

You are here:

Estimated date of birth is March 11, 2019.

Emma and her step brothers were labeled as "singletons" at the local shelter. That meant that they were taking up valuable cage space that could have housed a litter of kittens.  They looked like they could be actual siblings and they were born within two weeks of each other so a HOPE volunteer pulled them and enrolled them in the HOPE cat adoption program.

Emma isn't the instigator in the trio, but she's happy to join in for whatever adventure her "littermates" are up for.  Emma is a sweet kitten that purrs when petted and loves to curl up in her cat hammock.  She also likes to play with just about any toy and of course her "brothers", Rudy and Ricky.  Emma would be a great little sister to an adult cat or she would be thrilled to be adopted with one of her boys.

If you are interested in Emma and would like to fill out a Cat Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt Emma but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. Howard Wolowitz

You are here:

MEET Howard Wolowitz...If a black cat like Howard crosses your path, you are extremely lucky! Like most black cats, Howard has a supersaturated personality. He likes to walk across the piano keys and make his foster family wonder: “WHO is playing the piano?” Howard is friendly, adventurous, funny, and playful. He’s also a cuddle bug who sleeps by his foster family’s side at night. Another cute thing, Howie immediately starts purring when he’s picked up!  Howard’s older brother from a previous litter, Fuzzball, has a beautiful, thick tail and long, silky coat. Howard will at least be medium-haired and velvety soft; that is a certainty because he already is. There’s a good chance he will even turn out like Fuzzball. Come meet Howard at one of HOPE's adoption events! HOWARD!!!

Lena

You are here:

Born in August 2018, Lena is a petite, young lady weighing in at just 5 lbs. She is a black and grey tabby with ear tufts like a Maine Coon. Lena was the runt of the litter and the only one who looks like she does with the ear tufts and the medium-length fur.

Very docile and sweet, Lena will let you carry her upside down like a baby in your arms.  Lena is very talkative, playful and loves to climb high.  She also likes making biscuits on anything made of fleece or faux fur.

Lena has been around her foster's dogs, cats, elementary school-age daughters, and other foster kittens.  She has done well with all of them, although she would be a great “only” cat, too.  We think she’d enjoy the attention of being an “only.”

Mervin

Born in August, 2018, Merwin is a happy, talkative and playful kitten. He had a rough start to life, being born outside to a feral Mom, so he is grateful that his Foster Mom keeps him warm and dry inside. Merwin would love to join a family where there are other cats to play with him. At adoptions one day he watched a group of small kittens playing and was mesmerized. He also has dog experience and is very good with smaller dogs, but can be frightened of large ones. Can you offer this cute little boy a loving home?

I don’t really like loud noises or rough play. I’m a good girl and really enjoy the company of my siblings. I don’t really “talk” much, but I do “squeak”! I would prefer to be homed as a “pair”. Ricky

You are here:

Estimated date of birth is March 18, 2019.

Ricky and his step brother and step sister were labeled as "singletons" at the local shelter. That meant that they were taking up valuable cage space that could have housed a litter of kittens.  They looked like they could be actual siblings and they were born within two weeks of each other so a HOPE volunteer pulled them and enrolled them in the HOPE cat adoption program.

Ricky looks up to his "littermate" Rudy and follows him around, always up for a friendly wrestle.  He loves to play, play, play, whether with another kitten or his feather stick toys and balls.  When his kitten energy runs out, he likes to share the cat hammock with his step sister Emma and take a snooze. Ricky is a sweet and gentle kitten who would fit into just about any household.

If you are interested in Ricky and would like to fill out a Cat Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt Ricky but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. Ridgeback

Miss Ridgeback is an independent kitten who loves to explore. She knows exactly what she wants and isn't afraid to let you know what that is! Overall, she's low-maintenance (for a kitten), very social, and would be a great kitten for someone who wants an intelligent cat who will love to make a new home her own.

Ross

You are here:

Hi, my name is Ross! I am part of the “FRIENDS” litter.  (me & my brother Chandler and sisters Rachel and Monica. We were all born in min-March 2019) I am very sweet and can be quite lazy at times…especially if a sunbath is an option! I like to purr and play with my siblings and toys. The clinic staff says I’m unique and special because I have a hint of black on my ear which is indicative of a “tortie” even though I’m a red tabby! I’m very talkative, always hungry and the first in line to eat! I can be quite nervous in uncertain situations but give me some to warm up and I love to have fun and snuggle!

Roux

You are here:

Est DOB 3/5/19 - Roux, her Mom Mardi and brothers were rescued from the Galena Park Ship Channel area. The kittens were born on Mardi Gras, and that is how they got their names.  Roux is the typical little girl - she is a bit quieter than her brothers and dainty when she eats.  But when it is time to wrestle, or if one of the boys tries to get her share of the Temptations treats, then she can defend herself! Roux would love a forever home, preferably with her "twin" brother Beaux. Please offer these kittens some love.

Sassy

Born in May  2017, Sassy and her sister Cissy were rescued from an apartment complex in SW Houston where children were torturing small animals and hawks were looking for their next meal. When the two small kittens were rescued, her sister was ill, so Sassy was the little caregiver. While at the vet they put out their paws and made contact between their two crates. Now Sassy loves to run and play. Her older Foster Brother loves to pounce on his sisters, who squeal and run. Sassy is a sweetie who would love to have a forever home. Sheldon Cooper

You are here:

MEET Sheldon Cooper
Sheldon is a black and white, tuxedo kitten with a studious look about him with his white eyebrows and white ears tufts. He looks quite a lot like Sylvester from “Looney Tunes” (but without the lisp). Like his brother, Howard, Sheldon also immediately starts purring when he’s picked up.  The two brothers are just little loves!  Always playful and curious, Sheldon loves to chase his feather on a stick toy and play chase with his brother and foster’s white cat.

Tuxedo cats have had a certain mystique for centuries.  Did you know that William Shakespeare, Beethoven, and Sir Isaac Newton all had pet tuxedo cats?  Who knows the level of artistic and scientific influence these kitties inspired! Perhaps Sheldon could inspire you, too!  Come meet your muse at one of HOPE’s adoption events! 19-0525-A048

Teddy

You are here:
Laid back and easy going

Teddy is one of five cats abandoned after his elderly owner, who had dementia,  had to go to the hospital and never came home. Despite his sad situation, he is such a laid back, well adjusted cat, there is no doubt that his owner loved him and took care of him as best she could.  Teddy gets along well with other cats and small dogs and would probably be fine with kids too (at weekend adoptions, he's been very happy to visit with children).  Teddy is currently being fostered at a cattery in a boarding kennel looking for his forever home.

Tigger

You are here:

HI! I’m Tigger. My brother, Winnie, and I were rescued from the Spring Branch area along with several other cats and kittens. I was born in July, 2017 and am a curious, playful kitten once I get used to my surroundings. Most people find it hard to tell me and my brother apart, but I think it’s easy! I’m the one who loves to pounce on my brother to start a friendly game of chase. I have fun hiding in tunnels and chasing ping pong balls. I love to use my scratching post and look out the window from my perch on the top of my cat tree. I also like to find my foster mom so she can give me head scratches and love on me. I tell her thank you by purring loudly. Once I check in with my foster mom I’m ready to rush off to play some more. When I’m tired, I like a nice quiet place where I can rest and recharge, preferably cuddled up right next to my brother.

Winnie

You are here:

Hello, my name is Winnie. My brother, Tigger and I were born in July, 2017. We were part of a group of cats and kittens that were rescued from the Spring Branch area. Where my brother likes to pounce, I am a bit more cautious. I like to explore my surroundings a bit more calmly and cautiously than my brother but when he starts a game of chase, I am totally up for that.  I like to chase toys and practice my pouncing skills with toys on a string. My favorite game is hair band hockey.  I bat my foster mom’s hair band along the floor and chase it down the hallway. My foster mom knows just how I like to be petted on my neck and down my back. I rub on her to pet her back. My favorite sleeping spot is inside my travel kennel where it is dark and quiet. I especially love it when my brother joins me for a nap.  He makes a great pillow to lay on.
