Baby Bear

You are here:

Hi! I am Baby-Bear. My brother Starbuck and I were born March 7, 2017 and are the cutenesses of West U. But we're not looking to rob any honey bees or chase any white whales. We are on a quest for our furrever home with wonderful people. We like soft stuff and we love to race around. Right now it's hot, but we are oh so cool! When it gets cold we'll warm your nice soft bed, or snuggling your sleepy head! I'll sweeten your coffee for you! We love to be cute and precious and held like little babies. We're pretty sure you might need us to brighten your life with a little mischief & joy.

Come see us and apply to be our furry people. Don't forget we have an adoption fee! That's to keep the bees and whales safe! Okay, it might be for vetting, vaccines, flea treatment, etc. but we're pretending it's to keep our hunting abilities from developing.

Brenda

You are here:

Special Needs Kitty - My name is Brenda and I am 3 years old.  I have raised four adorable children (Bridget, Barry, Bryan and Brody), but now I am ready to start a new chapter in my life.

I was a good Mom, but it was a bit of a struggle as I have sight in only one eye.  The specialist said that there is nothing that can be done to return the sight to that eye, but there is no pain or disease.  Don't feel sorry for me though, as I get along just fine.  I am used to holding my own in a group of cats and I my favorite time of day is dinner time.  I do like to eat!

So if you don't mind a kitty who occaisionally bumps into items and one who has soft, squishy love handles, please consider adding me to your family.  I'm a Mom - I know about love.

If you are interested in this cat and would like to fill out an application, go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . You may fax the completed application to 713-721-9560 or mail it to HOPE at PO Box 273331, Houston, TX 77277. Bruno

The residents of this area abuse small animals and the hawks circle looking for food. Bruno was the smallest brother and initially the quietest. But now that he is in his foster home, Bruno is energized and always wanting to play. Could you make room for this 'runt' to have a Merry Christmas at your house?

Bryan

You are here:

My name is Bryan and I am 5 months old (as of 10/17/16).  I was found near a busy street.  My Mother, Brenda, tried to take good care of us, but she was blind in one eye.  Things were a little scary for awhile.

There are four "kids" in my family including me.  My little brother Barry, who is the quiet one, and brother Brody is the handsome one.  We even have a sister Bridget - she is okay for a girl.  As for me, I've been called the smart one, but I think I am the cuddly one.  I love to play games of ball and birdie on a stick, but my favorite pastime is having my belly rubbed.

If you know how to give a good belly rub, please consider adding me to your family.  I promise to be good, poop in my box and love you forever.

And boy are they having fun! They have a private room that is filled with toys and there is so much to see and do. But deep down Button wants to have a regular home where he can stay forever. Could that be yours?

Chloe

You are here:

Sweet Chloe was turned into the Houston City shelter by her owner when she was a teenage mom, along with her four baby kittens.  They were all underweight and so starving  - both for food and for attention!  Her kittens have all been adopted and now it's Chloe's turn.

Chloe's foster mom's house got flooded in Hurricane Harvey so Chloe is staying at a cattery where she gets to socialize with other cats and lay in the window sill in the sunshine.  She loves to have her ears rubbed and relax in her cat bed.  She is a very low maitenence cat and would like nothing more than to have a person all her own that she can be the pampered cat she deserves to be!

Cici is just a little shy at first but very alert and curious.  After a can of food and playtime, you will be best friends.  CiCi cannot resist a laser light; one day that red dot will be hers!  High places are CiCi's favorite, and the top of the kitty tower is fantastic.  When she is up high and you reach over to rub her ears, all is good.  Bird watching is CiCi's new favorite activity, even on the television.  At the end of the day, she likes to sit with you on the sofa or sleep in bed with her people.

Cissy

You are here:

Born in May, 2017, Cissy and her sister Sassy were rescued from an apartment complex in SW Houston where children were torturing small animals and hawks were looking for their next meal. When the two small kittens were rescued, Cissy was ill and her sister was helping her. While recovering at the vet they put out their paws and made contact between their two crates - always staying in touch.

Cissy still has a few health issues, but they don't stop her from running and playing. She has so much energy and is usually the last one to bed and the first one up! Perhaps she is making up for the time when she was not able to play. Her older Foster Brother loves to pounce on his sisters, who squeal and run. Can you add Cissy to your family and give her a forever home?

D'Angelo

You are here:
Looking for a cat with a dog's personality? Look no further! D'Angelo is a spunky, playful boy who loves to meet new people. He was born around March 15, 2016 and found on the street at 7 months old, eating takeout food on the sidewalk. Despite his rough start, he's a friendly and outgoing cat with a huge appetite.

He loves eating and is very food-motivated - you could train him to be an Acro Cat! He's also very chatty and will "chirp" hello at you.

D'Angelo has a lot of energy and loves to play, so the best home for him would be one where he's the only pet (and the star of attention) or with a young cat of the same age who wants to play too! He doesn't know any dogs or children, but he tries to be friends with the other kitties in his foster home.

She was so brave throughout the ordeal and provided her foster mama with so much love and support during the disaster. Margaret

You are here:

Found in September, 2013 at 2 months, living in or near the dumpster at her foster mom’s vet. She is a very sweet loving girl. Is outgoing, loves to be held. Very much a human companion cat--a lap cat who always wants to be where her human is

She does not like other cats and would be best placed in a one-cat home, but does fine with dogs and with children over 6 who are animal-aware. She is calm and easygoing most of the time and is very good about using the scratching post and NOT the furniture

Mona

You are here:

Mona gets her name from the town of Monaville, TX where she was found dumped at a restaurant. Pregnant and hungry, she would climb up on customers laps that were dining on the restaurants outdoor patio and join them for their meals! After she was full, she would happily plop down in their lap wanting to be loved on. She won over the hearts of a retired couple with her sweet personality and loving nature. They took her in and days later she gave birth to 2 kittens. Mona was an outstanding and attentive Mommy. She has thrived in her foster home where she enjoys laying and being pet in her foster parents lap, watching (and meowing at) birds & squirrels through the window and playing with toys. Mona is very calm, laid back, affectionate and playful. Her ideal family would include someone that loves having a warm kitty on their lap to pet as much as they please. She is a true "lap cat"! Mona is also good with respectful children.  It is time that this darling girl finds the loving forever home she so deserves!  If you are interested in adopting Mona and would like to fill out a Cat Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php   Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt Mona, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. Prince

You are here:

PRINCE can rock your world. I can sing you a purr song and you won't need a red corvette to make my motor run. Just lots of love and fun. Toys and a lap are my favorite things. I'm very sweet and playful, always ready for an enthusiastic game of chase or mouse toy. I certainly don't want any purple rain.  But I love soft cozy napping spots. No doves because I will make them cry. My birds need to be the toy kind. Now about your face - it might need a Kiss. Come see me, we could be in purrfect harmony.

Spot

You are here:

SPOT it, I got it! Chase it, bite it, I'll growl about it. That's my bird toy! No, it's mine! To understand me Ice Age you need to see. You know those two possums Crash and Eddie? Well that's my brother TOUPEE and me. Mischievous and spunky, we are always pulling pranks on each other. Two peas in a pod. We're a blast. Of course we will let you join in. More the merrier we say.  Loads of fun we love to run, chase and play. Pretty much all day. Quality entertainment; we'll make you laugh. When we aren't up to our possum tricks we curl up together in our favorite box. Take a little nap to rest up for our next round. We are a handful to be sure. Two little characters you see. But with what a joy and a pleasure to be. Wow, you can't go wrong with us. We are like little beams of sunshine dancing to laughter.

Check out my brother TOUPEE, he's funny, because he's wearing a toupee!  Ha ha, he he.  We want to go to our loving furrever home together so we can keep the fun a ton.
